The problem I see w/Ireports these days is that some of the folks who post their articles don’t seem to realize that CNN Ireport is actually identified as THE MEDIA.
1. CNN Ireport is not a “blog” (regardless of how they try to spin it).
2. What is posted as an Ireport is considered as a “News Article”.
3. Ireporters are considered as CNN news reporters/commentators (albeit regular citizens).
Although, CNN claims they don’t vet what Ireporters post on that “news” site, Ireports can be quoted and vetted on other sites, as a news SOURCE. I think this is the case because CNN includes Ireports in its news coverage.
CNN Ireport is actually considered to be more in the category of News than Huffington Post (which is a blog).
It’s almost like they are being baited.. I am glad they cleaned up rosehips report. She was proud of that one.

And most of the problem of misleading Ireporters is CNN’s fault. CNN needs to clear up the misconceptions of why Ireport was set-up in the 1st place & the responsibilities of its Ireporters.
When CNN gives Ireporters an assignment its the same as them giving Susan Rosengen’s an assignment to go to Chicago’s tea party.

Hey all, yeah I was there last night it got very ugly, like everyone was on meth or something? I see it as frustration, childlike really, they could not get some to bite on the bait so it resorted to name calling and much worse in one case. Personally I dont see Ireporters as news reporters … but CNN is using Ireports as their news pool source that is aired on CNN news. They cant have it both ways.
Remember when ireporter posted news of Apple CEO was sick. Apple found out about it & there was fear it would affect the stocks. It was said that Apple demanded CNN remove that ireport. That same day, the ireport was poof !!! gone !!! disappeared!!! Also that same day, Apple denied its CEO was sick. As it turned out, the ireport was true.

Indy, I agree Warren County didn’t need money for three new transit buses and to make other improvements to the fleet, or $1.8 million in stimulus funding to replace windows and roofs on government buildings, making them more energy-efficient. Warren County could’ve used that money for their utilities. That’s the problem with the spending bill.. you have to use it where the government wants you to use it or you can’t use it at all. I am glad they didn’t take it but too bad somebody didn’t allocate the money where it was really needed.

I think if you have to answer calls at 5:00am regarding your post or if your post is on CNN then they should offer you a salary and pay up at the end of the month depending on how many stories they used of yours. I have been involved with utilities for the past 18 years (mostly underground) and I was excited when I heard the shovel ready jobs were being made available. That would get contractors and cities up and running… awarded contracts aren’t going until 2010.. Did somebody forget 2009?? It drives me nuts every time I think about it.

I know what you mean. I am not on that end but all contractors that I deal with are having that issue. The bigger companies can’t go as low as the smaller because of their over head.. sucks but hopefully there will be light at the end of the tunnel.

“We were called from inside the house to come investigate an apparent suicide,” said Fairfax County Police spokeswoman Mary Anne Jennings.

Well the way I look at it and not being attached to any system or process or label is. As to the socialist agenda, my point of view has not changed, I am for survival of the fittest and can say that even though I am advancing in years myself and not at the top of the food chain as I once was. I try to look at everything to find value, and then cull the rest, I do not think we can continue to feed and support the rest of the world, that is what I got from the article and that is my opinion, labels be dammed.
Not to continue the argument of fact but I will because its fun!! But when a body dies, does it really, the remaining matter decomposed into other chemicals and structures that are useful in sustaining life, the body as it is know does not contain the same properties as prior to death but metamorphises into another form. As to our conscience or thoughts, no one knows what happens to that energy, but it does not die in the pragmatic form, energy never dies it mutates to differing structures and levels. Thermodynamics.

Everybody knows how I feel about Barack Obama but with that being said I feel very very confident that he will send as many troops needed to prevent Afghanistan from being taken over by al-Qaeda!! I have all the trust in the world that he is in charge of this situation.
I am one who believes that we are ruining the earth, we might not be the total cause of our issues but we are certainly a catalyst! I am on the water quite a bit and I have been miles from shore and I see a fucking McDonalds cup floating, or some other sort of trash out there in my world. That is just litter, if everyone drove motorcycles just think what that would do for all the carbon emissions we now produce. Folks it is science, we are creating chemicals that eat our earth, and by the rapid expansion of China and India we are adding to the overall problem each day. I am not a tree hugger, but I am all about cutting down our carbon footprint in a big way.
This coupled with the warming of our solar system of which we have no control, I am kind of glad the better part of my life has passed, but I fear for our children and the mess we have left them!
I agree we could cut down on our carbon emissions for our own safety and health but when we start putting millions and millions of dollars to study the carbon emissions in cows farts or swine odor then it becomes a political agenda and wasteful spending.

Indy, we don’t know how easy we have it here in the states, try living without your computer for a couple of days, or no power, or have to hunt to survive, if or I should say when this happens you will have a lot of people just curl up and die, the government will not be able to save them. The last time I went to a mass the sermon turned into a lecture on economics. This is a catholic church I am talking about. The priest was complaining about the parishoners not putting enough money in their sunday donation envelopes that some use. He was pretty upset stating that they we not giving their fair share to the church. I could not believe what I was hearing in church. I was insenced and totally pissed. I walked out and almost flipped the bird to the priest on the way out. There were many others that walked out on him too. I was thinking to myself on the way home was how in the f**king hell does this priest know what people are able to afford to give to the church. That priest had a lot of nerve.

If the current administration is too worried that they might be convicted by the next administration if they protect this country then they will choose to do nothing. What has happened to our country! It was a time of war and it was necessary to preserve our peace. 9/11 was torture not what we did to the terrorist the caused it.

I believe this current administration is living a pre 9/11 life. It could happen again tomorrow.

I don’t think guilt plays a real big role in it at all. It is more like a community of like minded people who consider each other a part of their extended family is all.
Everyone for the most part likes to belong to something. Maybe its a Moose Lodge, Church, Biker Club, Local VFW or Tavern, PTA, etc. I think we all like being apart of something we can contribute too and gain from. Is that reasonable?

So if I tell myself, I need to do 1 banner for the bus, I will procrastinate. But if I tell myself, “Must spend 35 minutes designing and setting up the art file for the bus”… then it is easier to do.
Like you tell yourself. “I will spend 25 minutes reading my lesson” instead of “I need to read my lesson”…

Well my cornbread pecan eating Ohio rabble, I was trying to make a point before I was awake. I was up late since I am not working today again or at least until noon. I did note that I was yet again the focus of an Ireport, the report was written in Roses and my defense, but in the comments I was attacked and blamed and dismantled, I did see Tensoft and M2 came to my aid, I left one comment about how the detractor is way off base and fabricating and left and have not been back.
I think if people on Ireport do not want to get upset they should stop follow this blog, what is said here is not and was not designed to attack individuals on Ireport but to discuss the issues where we disagree on how our country is being run.
For some reason and due to a total lack of control of the Ireporters they have choose to try to shut this conversation down, and in them not being able to they have resorted to organized personal attacks, character assignation, rallying the troops with a sit out, IE; deactivating accounts, all the signs of a frustrated mass of people. They out of there frustration even outed my name and threatened me that I have “kicked the wrong dog this time” that along with other very personal attacks on old posts all in an effort to incite anger. untenable immature and very dangerous.
That being said Ireport lowlife trolls who have no self esteem if the heat in the kitchen is too hot get out, in other words stop reading this post and we will go back to talking about what we want, and so can you. And please if you plan on attacking me or anyone else on here, it only shows how desperate you have become to press your feeble argument.

david, thanks for asking. you are only the second person to openly wonder why the heck I am on here so early. My last job was in a Microsoft call center and I worked east coast hours. I usually got up around 4 to get to work at 5:30 am. I am natually an early riser and when I lost my job in october, I just stuck to the same schedule. It works for me. I don’t think California is a good place to move to these days but I have lived there before (Santa Cruz and the SC mtns.) and spent lots of time there. I have a sister in LA, but haven’t been down to cali in several years now.
Yes it is a good time we need more moderates. Without moderates or a few more conservatives we will be a poster child for where the United States as a whole is headed……………Heck we already are…..just announced we are another 14 billion in debt
