Kerry vs the Press (video)

Massachusetts revenue spokesman previously interviewed by the Boston Herald says, in so many words, that Progressive Senator Kerry has successfully skirted payment of Massachusetts state excise tax of $470 thousand dollars on his $7 million dollar sail boat.

Vodpod videos no longer available.

Thanks for showing your true colors, Senator…

Yeah, John…  we Massachusetts “little people” taxpayers are pissed

But… raggin’ on Kerry helps …and he hates it so! :P

    Hi VF,
I don’t have a problem with someone doing what they can to lessen their tax bite. I have a major problem that these are the wealthy hypocritical bastards that say we (the people, and not wealthy by a far shot) should pay more and be happy to pay it.

You are about to read a list of 45 goals that found their way down the halls of our great Capitol back in 1963. As you read this, 39 years later, you should be shocked by the events that have played themselves out. I first ran across this list 3 years ago but was unable to attain a copy and it has bothered me ever since. Recently, Jeff Rense posted it on his site and I would like to thank him for doing so. http://www.rense.com

Mr. HERLONG. Mr. Speaker, Mrs. Patricia Nordman of De Land, Fla., is an ardent and articulate opponent of communism, and until recently published the De Land Courier, which she dedicated to the purpose of alerting the public to the dangers of communism in America.

At Mrs. Nordman’s request, I include in the RECORD, under unanimous consent, the following “Current Communist Goals,” which she identifies as an excerpt from “The Naked Communist,” by Cleon Skousen:

Some guy in In Indo-nesia claimed Indo-nesian citizen Barack Obama was a scout there. duh…

Anyone can claim anything. It is unsubstantiated in any case. Obama was not a member of the Boy Scouts of America, nutroot.

Additionally, all US Presidents are automatically designated “honorary” president of the Boy Scouts of America. What kind of a president ditches the Scouts on their 100 year celebration? One that sides with the fringe gay rights activists who oppose the Scouts because they do not include gays as members… which is their right.

I write a political blog; not a social blog.

And, I have noticed the digs you write about me and Vicki at Frugal Cafe.

    Nutroot Ed Darrell says…

Barack Obama was a Scout in Indonesia, and is the Honorary President of the Boy Scouts of America. Alone among presidents since Calvin Coolidge, Obama has met with Scouts to consult with them on policy.

Why didn’t you cover meeting at the time? You don’t cover the good actions of Scouting at any time — but if you think you can get a dig at Obama, you claim to be a supporter?

With friends like this blog, Scouting doesn’t need enemies.

Collecting rainwater now illegal in many states as Big Government claims ownership over our water

(NaturalNews) Many of the freedoms we enjoy here in the U.S. are quickly eroding as the nation transforms from the land of the free into the land of the enslaved, but what I’m about to share with you takes the assault on our freedoms to a whole new level. You may not be aware of this, but many Western states, including Utah, Washington and Colorado, have long outlawed individuals from collecting rainwater on their own properties because, according to officials, that rain belongs to someone else.

George P Bush is co-founder of the Hispanic Republicans of Texas, a political action committee. The group’s goal is to elect Hispanic Republicans throughout the state, where Hispanics make up 37 percent of the population.

The PAC seeks to change a balance that has about 35 Hispanic Democrats in the Texas Legislature, compared with zero Republicans.

George P., 34, is a property developer and lawyer in Texas.

His great-grandfather Prescott was a senator from Connecticut. His grandfather George H.W. was president from 1989-1993, and his uncle George W. followed in 2001-2009.

Movement to Bypass Constitution in Presidential Elections
    July 28,2010
    by Chatter3

The Massachusetts Legislature has approved a new law intended to bypass the Electoral College system, set forth in the Constitution. The system set up in the Constitution, requires that each state’s electors, cast votes for the President and Vice President and present those votes to the President of the Senate for a final tally. What fouled this system up was that 48 States passed “winner-take-all ” rules, meaning that if candidate X got 51% of the vote in the state, he is awarded all of that states electoral votes. This is why Al Gore lost the election to Bush in 2000. Only 2 states, Maine and Nebraska, do not follow the winner-takes-all rule, dividing the votes, between the candidates, as required by the Constitution. It was not the electoral system that was at fault, it was the winner-take-all rules. Now, state by state, the Liberals are passing a national winner-take-all scheme.

Illinois, New Jersey, Hawaii, Maryland, and Washington have approved this new system, which could nullify your vote. This movement must be stopped. More details in video.

Fox, the Massachusetts Legislative Moonbats hate losing, especially if the loss is a fair one. They don’t care what kind of rotten things they do so long as they win. remember the crap they pulled by changing the law to suit them concerning replacing Kennedy and that reversed a law they passed to prevent Romney from appointing a congressman. That Scott Brown get elected must have brain-broken many of them.

Obama Missing Historic Boy Scout Jamboree for Fundraisers, ‘View’ Taping
    ********************************************

President Obama will make history as the first sitting president on a daytime talk show when he visits with the ladies of “The View.” But he’ll be missing out on another historic occasion — the Boy Scouts’ Jamboree marking the group’s 100th anniversary, right in the president’s backyard.

The Jamboree kicked off this week at Fort A.P. Hill in Virginia, where organizers had invited the president to speak to the 45,000 scouts in attendance. All three of Obama’s predecessors have made it to one Jamboree while in office.

But the president will instead be traveling Wednesday to New York for a taping of the ABC show, as well as Democratic fundraisers and a stop in New Jersey. The talk show appearance comes as campaign season moves into full swing, but also amid efforts to cap the Gulf oil spill for good, contain the damage from an unprecedented leak of Afghanistan war documents and battle Arizona over its immigration law — set to go into effect Thursday. Obama also has an out-of-town event planned for Friday in Detroit.

But while the Jamboree lasts until next Tuesday, the president is sending his regards via a videotaped message.

Boy Scouts of America spokesman Deron Smith said the organization knew Obama’s invitation would hinge on his schedule and found out two months ago that he would not be able to attend.

“It just depends on his schedule,” he said, adding that “there’s always a spot” available for the president during the Jamboree. Obama also serves as honorary president of the Boy Scouts of America.

The White House said Tuesday that the fundraisers, not the TV appearance, prevented the president from attending.

“We were always going to be out of town that day,” Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer told FoxNews.com in an e-mail. “It was never canceled.”

The Boy Scouts released a statement acknowledging that Obama has hosted Boy Scouts groups in the Oval Office twice since taking office.

“We thank the president for his effort to recognize scouting and look forward to working with his administration as we work toward accomplishing our mission of preparing young people to become exceptional adults,” the group said.

The Jamboree is held once every four years. This year’s festivities mark the organization’s 100-year anniversary — scouts are scheduled to visit Washington, D.C., and other regional attractions in connection with the celebration.

Every president is typically invited, though not all are able to attend. Obama’s three predecessors each made it to one Jamboree in person. President George W. Bush spoke in 2005, President Bill Clinton in 1997 and President George H.W. Bush in 1989.

Though Obama typically reserves his exclusive interviews for network and cable news shows, he appeared on “The View” as a candidate. “The View” is hosting the president as part of its “Red, White & View” series highlighting political guests. Creator and co-host Barbara Walters said Obama’s appearance, along with the past appearance of First Lady Michelle Obama, shows “The View” can play the role of news source.

“This shows that both the president and first lady feel that our show is an influential and important source of information and news,” she said in a written statement.

But Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell, a fellow Democrat, scoffed at the idea of a president appearing on such a show.

“I think the president should be accessible, should answer questions that aren’t pre-screened, but I think there should be a little bit of dignity to the presidency,” Rendell told MSNBC, at one point comparing “The View” to “The Jerry Springer Show.”

Massachusetts Congressman Barney Frank caused a scene when he demanded a $1 senior discount on his ferry fare to Fire Island’s popular gay haunt, The Pines, last Friday. Frank was turned down by ticket clerks at the dock in Sayville because he didn’t have the required Suffolk County Senior Citizens ID. A witness reports, “Frank made such a drama over the senior rate that I contemplated offering him the dollar to cool down the situation.” Frank made news last year when he was spotted looking uncomfortable around a bevy of topless, well-built men at the Pines Annual Ascension Beach Party. Frank’s spokesperson confirmed to Page Six that his partner, James Ready, asked the ticket office for a regular ticket for himself and a senior ticket for Frank, “but was turned down because Frank didn’t have a resident ID.”

Hollywood director Oliver Stone – who previously tried to rewrite history with his ultra-left conspiracy work of fiction “JFK” is at it again. But this time he’s not accusing the American government of murdering its own president.

Instead, he’s simply trying to stop the “Jewish domination of the media,” so that the film industry can put Nazi leader Adolf Hitler “in context,” as an “easy scapegoat,” and “a product of a series of actions,” in his upcoming 10-hour Showtime docudrama, “The Secret History of America.”

This past weekend Stone told the Sunday Times in England: “We can’t judge people as only bad or good . . . Hitler was a Frankenstein, but there was also a Dr. Frankenstein. German industrialists, the Americans and the British. He had a lot of support.”

Under the false pretense of putting Hitler “in context,” what Stone is really saying is that even the good guys like America and Great Britain helped him, which means he couldn’t have been all that bad.

That’s pretty hard to believe since it was the United States and Great Britain that heroically charged the shores of Germany in 1945 and crushed the Third Reich into pieces, striking so much fear into Hitler’s heart that he abandoned his country, and in one of history’s greatest acts of cowardice, killed himself.

Stone is correct that Hitler did have a lot of support, but it was mainly from the German people during the reign of the Third Reich from 1933-1945.

Despite the pathetic excuses made by historical revisionists, millions of Germans supported their Nazi leaders and the sadistic crimes they committed upon innocent Jews and other poor souls who found themselves and their children working as slaves in concentration camps before they were tortured and killed.

Stone seems to think he can produce his docudrama under the auspices of shedding new light, but he can’t because it’s no secret that the Nazis used Jewish slave labor to work in factories owned by German companies that had American counterparts like Ford Motor Company.

Stone’s misperception of politics and history should come as no surprise, however. On June 28, Stone told ABC “Good Morning America” anchor George Stephanopoulos that he “absolutely” believes Hugo Chavez is a good person, and after he met with Iranian dictator Mahmoud Ahmadinejad he said, “Iran isn’t necessarily the bad guy.” Instead, he condemned U.S. policy toward Iran as “horrible.”

In essence, the effect of Stone’s work will be an attempt at vindicating Adolf Hitler, the single worst person in the history of the world. This is because despite the tragedies caused by Mao, Stalin and other dictators, there was never a historical account of any leader or their pathetically weak followers taking sadistic pleasure in the pain, humiliation and torture they inflicted upon their victims. The Nazis didn’t just kill people. They enjoyed it and thrived off the sadness and powerlessness they caused their victims.

By even attempting to rationalize Hitler’s acts as merely economical or strategic, Stone runs the risk of legitimizing genocide, slave labor and torture. One can’t help but wonder what the emotional driving force is for Stone to do such a thing. Is it really a noble attempt to explain history or just a streak of anti-Semitic vindictiveness designed to disempower Jews in America?

Perhaps this quote from his Times interview sheds some light:

“The Jewish domination of the media,” Stone professed, “there’s a major lobby in the United States. They are hard workers. They stay on top of every comment, the most powerful lobby in Washington. Israel has f***ed up United States foreign policy for years.”

Apparently, Oliver Stone has forgotten that it was Israel that remained America’s only loyal ally in the Middle East throughout the harsh decades of the cold war with the Soviet Union. He also forgets that many of the Jews that are in Washington today are elected officials to Congress that the American people democratically elected. Unlike Adolf Hitler, our Jewish congressional representatives never coerced anyone to vote for them.

Nazism is alive even today in both America and Germany. In fact, the Simon Wiesenthal Center still makes efforts to hunt down Nazi war criminals, but has a difficult time getting cooperation from the countries in which they are hiding. The operation’s chief Nazi hunter, Efraim Zuroff, wrote in his recent book, “Operation Last Chance,” that there has been a growing ambivalence about Holocaust crimes, a morally flawed position that those cowardly, sick acts happened a long time ago and should be forgotten, and that prosecution at this time serves no purpose.

Those countries are wrong. Prosecution of war criminals or of any criminal always serves a purpose – justice.

Oliver Stone’s new series will only further encourage the growing ambivalence many people already have about Holocaust crimes and empower Fourth Reich Nazis who are trying to reignite the anti-Semitism that once flourished throughout Europe.

Anytime anyone makes excuses for the Nazis, they are empowering evil. Oliver Stone’s self-declared attempt at putting Hitler “in context” is a veiled anti-Semitic strike against Holocaust survivors and Jews just as his praise for America’s enemies like Hugo Chavez and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad are veiled strikes against the United States.

Oliver Stone is dead wrong. We can judge people as either all bad or good, and Adolf Hitler was bad – as is Oliver Stone and anyone else who distorts the truth to vindicate evil.

History has been rewritten and what Stone is talking about is IMO, that which has been hidden from us. Not agreeing with all he says, but some of what was stated in his remarks above has been shown to be true, and some of it, I can remember from my youth in the 60’s.

Our public schools have indoctrinated our children and our society with “revised history books” to distort the truth, and the special interests groups who lobby in DC make damned sure they keep the truth hidden from the public.

And those who do not follow the agenda, well they get labeled Anti-Semites with hopes of discrediting them and silencing them.

I call it instead of the Race Card, the Anti-Semite Card, as BOTH are created for the SAME purpose and agenda.

Here are a few things to google to find TRUTH.

1783-Knights of the Kadosch: “The religion which is to be destroyed in order to recover “The Word” and true doctrine, is the religion of Christ found in revelation. The words used to their fullest extent is “Liberty and Equality”, to be established by “the Total Overthrow of the Alter and the Throne.”

    1928– Birobidzhan

1933–The Haavara Agreement aka Transfer Agreement of 1933

1939–Hitler “Man of the Year” Time Magazine

    1. The body of ideas reflecting the social needs and aspirations of an individual, group, class, or culture.
    2. A set of doctrines or beliefs that form the basis of a political, economic, or other system.

America is as divided as ever by Ideologies of the Left and the Right.

Never before have we faced such drastic differences in our belief systems.

These differences have divided us like never before. Not even Religious Differences have ever divided us quite like this.

This is a growing problem in America and one can only wonder just where it will take us as a people.

  98. LisaInTX says:

Oh and I agree 100% with you about the EVIL of the Nazi’s regime. Evil is Evil, no matter what race is perpetrating the crime.

I know you and I agree whole heartedly on 99% of everything. I just am not interested in debating issues of the Jewish People is all.

Hope we can move on beyond this?

  100. LisaInTX says:

    Sami
I don’t want to debate “Jewish People”, only show that it is the Cabala/Luciferian/antichrist followers that have created the problems we see in the world today and it is those things that we all agree on that we abhor.

IMO–Stone’s views are not that far from the REAL truth….and I look forward to seeing his view point on these issues. Should prove simulating to say the least….especially in Holywood…he will be sitting along side Mel Gibson on their black list.

  101. LisaInTX says:

One more thing I need to correct on myself then I shall drop the subject and go find something else to do.
It’s not about the “race of Jewry”, it is about corrupt political power and ideology, since before the birth of Jesus Christ.

A federal judge on Wednesday granted a partial injunction requested by the federal government on the controversial Arizona immigration law, SB 1070.

U.S. District Judge Susan Bolton has blocked the portion of the law that requires police officers to determine the immigration status of a person detained or arrested.

She also struck down the section of law that makes it a crime if someone fails to carry immigration registration papers and the provision that makes it a crime for an illegal immigrant to seek or perform work.

In all, Bolton struck down four sections of the law, the ones that opponents called the most controversial parts. Bolton said she was putting those sections on hold until the courts resolve the issues.

Opponents say the law will lead to racial profiling and is trumped by federal immigration law.

I’ve taken very good written notes BTW–lol because my memory is not what it used to be and my computers seem to die taking my links with it.

The problem I have is defining and narrowing down the ideology and from what “Group” it comes come. They are world-wide and so well hidden and their rat hole runs so deep, and go back centuries with corruption and deception that many LABELS fits them. Crafty they are, just like their master Lucifer.

Every day Lisa we are seeing the stones placed one upon the other. Soon the wall will be too big to break down. We are losing Freedoms almost each and every day. One day America will wake up to find we have become a Communist Country.

Sami says very well the following and I agree.

“Sometimes Lisa, we all won’t see the same things the same way. That being said, who is to say that one day one or all of us might not have the very same revelation as you have said.”

Thank you Lisa, I do see you somewhat as a visionary of things to come. I take seriously your discoveries and statements.

We together are on a journey in this life and not one of us can tell where it will lead us.

My Hope and Eternity rest with Christ.

  114. Foxwood says:

I’m sorry Lisa. Maybe I sounded like I was offended. Not the case. I’m merely stating we have to stick together. I think our differences are minor and nothing to make a deal about. This little family has to stick together.

I’m at work right now. If I can remember, I need to send you an email tonight. I read through some stuff you sent a while back, I wanted to ask about it..

  115. LisaInTX says:

    Sami
Thank you for that compliment, but I’m not sure if I qualify as a visionary. I am merely one of Our Father in Heaven’s creations, which holds true to the beliefs of God’s natural order of things as our Lord wanted them, and who without question and determination, rebels against the false doctrines and laws created by evil men.
As you stated above, the stones of the wall are stacking up higher and higher everyday. Our destiny is fixed and is shown to us in Revelations. The important task for each of us after seeking spiritual guidance from Our Father, is to determine WHO is the real enemy and the mask they hide behind.
It then becomes apparent that we should not put our faith in mankind to do the right thing, not even our own country, once that is understood, the path to our Lord is narrowed and the confusion created by man-made rhetoric disappears.

    First Posted: 07-28-10 08:41 AM | Updated: 07-28-10 08:41 AM

Fox News continued its domination of cable news ratings in July. The network averaged 1.85 million viewers in primetime for the month–more than CNN, MSNBC and HLN combined. Fox News also drew 461,000 viewers in the coveted A25-54 demo.

While far behind Fox News, MSNBC still beat CNN in primetime for the sixth straight month. MSNBC averaged 679,000 total viewers and 229,000 in the A25-54 demo.

CNN averaged 530,000 total viewers and 146,000 in the A25-54 demo, while sister network HLN 452,000 total viewers and 145,000 in the A25-54 demo.

    *HUFFINGTON POSTAL*
*********************************************Glenn Beck’s Incendiary Angst Is Dangerously Close to Having a Body Count

On his Monday radio show, Glenn Beck highlighted claims that before he started targeting a little-known, left-leaning organization called the Tides Foundation on his Fox News TV show, “nobody knew” what the non-profit was.

Indeed, for more than a year Beck has been portraying the progressive organization as a central player in a larger, nefarious cabal of Marxist/socialist/Nazi Obama-loving outlets determined to destroy democracy in America. Beck has routinely smeared the low-profile entity for being staffed by “thugs” and “bullies” and involved in “the nasty of the nastiest,” like indoctrinating schoolchildren and creating a “mass organization to seize power.”

As Media Matters reported, the conspiratorial host had mentioned (read: attacked) the little-known progressive organization nearly 30 times on his Fox program alone since it premiered in 2009, including several mentions in the last month. (Beck’s the only TV talker who regularly references the foundation, according to our Nexis searches.)

So yes, Beck has done all he can to scare the hell out of people about the Tides Foundation and “turn the light of day” onto an organization that actually facilitates non-profit giving.

And guess what? Everybody in America would have found out about the Tides Foundation last week if Byron Williams had had his way. He’s the right-wing, government-hating, gun-toting nut who strapped on his body armor, stocked a pickup truck with guns and ammo, and set off up the California coast to San Francisco in order to start killing employees at the previously obscure Tides Foundation in hopes of sparking a political revolution.

Thankfully, the planned domestic terrorist attack never came to pass because California Highway Patrol officers pulled Williams over for drunk driving on his way to his killing spree. Williams quickly opened fire, wounding two officers during a lengthy shootout. Luckily, Williams wasn’t able to act out the ultimate goal of his dark anger — fueled by the TV news he watched — about how “Congress was railroading through all these left-wing agenda items,” as his mother put it. Williams wasn’t able to open fire inside the offices of the Tides Foundation, an organization “nobody knew” about until Glenn Beck started targeting it.

And thankfully, Williams wasn’t able to take his place alongside a growing list of domestic, anti-government terrorists, such as the recent Pentagon shooter, the Holocaust Museum gunman, the kamikaze pilot who flew his plane into an IRS building in Austin, Texas, and the Pittsburgh cop-killer who set up an ambush because he was convinced Obama was going to take away his guns.

All the vigilante attacks appear to have been fueled by an almost pathological hatred for the U.S. government — the same open hatred that right-wing bloggers, AM talk radio hosts, and Fox News’ lineup of anti-government prophets have been frantically fueling for the last year, pushing doomsday warnings of America’s democratic demise under President Obama.

And the sad truth is we’re going to see more like Byron Williams. We’re going to see more attempts at vigilante violence during the Age of Obama simply because the right-wing media, lead by Beck, continue to gleefully (albeit irresponsibly) stoke dangerous fires with the kind of relentlessly incendiary rhetoric that has no match in terms of modern day, mainstream use in American politics or media.

    Just listen to Glenn Beck:

    * Progressives “are sucking the blood out of the republic” and are “gonna start getting more and more violent.”

    * “To the day I die, I am going to be a progressive hunter.”

    * “[Y]ou will have to shoot me in the forehead before you take away my gun” and “before I acquiesce and be silent.”

    * “This game is for keeps”; “[Y]ou can shoot me in the head … but there will be 10 others that line up.”

    * “There is a coup going on. There is a stealing of America”; “God help us in an emergency.”‘

And don’t forget about the unhinged response when health care reform was passed in March: “Get down on your knees and pray. Pray. It’s September 11th all over again, except that we didn’t have the collapsing buildings.” After financial reform passed last week, Beck told his audience, “Your republic is over.”

Meanwhile, Andrew Breitbart’s website recently tagged Obama as the “suicide-bomber-in-chief,” while the conservative Washington Times just last week published an op-ed — by a former congressman, no less — asserting the president poses more of a threat to America than al Qaeda.

Note that the radical right’s media rhetoric is no longer even political in a partisan sense. Instead, it’s purely revolutionary. It isn’t, “We think taxes should be lower” or “Obama should be more hawkish overseas.” It’s, “There’s an insidious and deadly plot afoot by Democrats and progressives to strip Americans of their freedom and this country of its greatness.” Obama is now the incarnation of evil (the Antichrist?), and his driving hatred for America, as well as for democracy, runs so deep that he ran for president in order to destroy the United States from inside the Oval Office.

Rush Limbaugh: “Our country is being overthrown from within.”

And this summer, the latest toxic twist to that line of attack is that Obama is destroying America on purpose in order to exact revenge from white America for the historic sin of slavery. (Think: Black Manchurian Candidate.) The GOP Noise Machine is now mixing a vile cocktail by stirring revolutionary rhetoric with hateful race-baiting.

It’s impossible to argue that today’s avalanche of insurrectionist rhetoric doesn’t have a real world effect. Or that those on the fringes don’t find comfort in seeing and hearing their worst fears legitimized on AM radio and Fox News.

The consequences of the doomsday programming seem entirely predictable. As Jeffrey Jones, a professor of media and politics at Old Dominion University, recently explained to the New York Times in regard to Beck’s rhetoric, “People hear their values are under attack and they get worried. It becomes an opportunity for them to stand up and do something.”

Indeed, the relentless message that right-wing audiences hear is unequivocal and inescapable: Do something! Take action!

And last week, Byron Williams, likely inspired by Glenn Beck’s Tides obsession, grabbed his guns and set out to do just that.

Study Shows Abortion Funding Rules Would Not Apply to High-Risk Pools

    Published July 28, 2010

    | FoxNews.com

A newly released congressional report found that abortion restrictions attached to the health care overhaul would not apply to high-risk insurance pools run at the state level, prompting Republican senators to urge the administration to issue new rules.

Thirteen senators wrote a letter to Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius Wednesday urging her to “act immediately” to bar states operating the high-risk pools from covering elective abortions.

“Absent such contractual requirements, it will be necessary for Congress to modify the current law,” they wrote, asking for a response by Friday.

The senators referenced a Congressional Research Service report dated July 23 that found the health care law, the subsequent executive order on abortion restrictions and the contracts themselves do not explicitly prohibit the high-risk pools from covering abortions with federal money.

The high-risk program, called the Pre-Existing Condition Insurance Plan, was meant to help those denied coverage over pre-existing conditions until the broader provisions of the law go into effect in 2014. The law set aside $5 billion in federal subsidies for the program, which is supposed to be either administered by the state or the Health and Human Services Department.

Anti-abortion groups have been on high alert over the past few weeks as individual states began to announce their policies on the high-risk pools. Several groups claimed that Pennsylvania, which was approved for $160 million in federal funds, was opening the door for taxpayer-funded abortion coverage. Though the state’s policy announcement made no reference to abortion and the policy itself says “elective abortions” are not covered, anti-abortion groups said there was too much wiggle room. The National Right to Life Committee said that because “elective abortion” is not a legal term, any abortion procedure legal in the state could be covered under the plan.

The Pennsylvania Insurance Department, though, said the state “would not and could not” use federal dollars for elective abortion coverage and has no intention of doing so.

A recent HHS statement also said abortions “will not be covered” under the high-risk plans except in cases of rape, incest or where the life of the mother is in danger.

But the senators wrote in their letter that the department’s comments “do not have the force of law and will not prohibit the use of funds for these services.”

According to the HHS, new guidance will be issued pertaining to restrictions on high-risk pool coverage.

The CRS report said that while the HHS statement does not amount to a “formal policy issuance,” it is “reasonable” to expect the department will issue new regulations.

“The secretary’s seemingly broad authority to establish other requirements for high-risk pools may also arguably allow for a restriction on elective abortion coverage in the high risk pools,” the report said.

The letter was signed by: Sens. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah; Mike Enzi, R-Wyo.; Tom Coburn, R-Okla.; Richard Burr, R-N.C.; Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska; John Barrasso, R-Wyo.; Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn.; Mike Johanns, R-Neb.; Mitch McConnell, R-Ky.; John Thune, R-S.D.; John Cornyn, R-Texas; Chuck Grassley, Iowa; and Jon Kyl, R-Ariz.

This is bleak, but looks to be the coming ‘Trend”

The prospect of revolution was a concept echoed by a British Ministry of Defence report last year, which predicted that within 30 years, the growing gap between the super rich and the middle class, along with an urban underclass threatening social order would mean, “The world’s middle classes might unite, using access to knowledge, resources and skills to shape transnational processes in their own class interest,” and that, “The middle classes could become a revolutionary class.”

In a separate recent interview, Celente went further on the subject of revolution in America.

“There will be a revolution in this country,” he said. “It’s not going to come yet, but it’s going to come down the line and we’re going to see a third party and this was the catalyst for it: the takeover of Washington, D. C., in broad daylight by Wall Street in this bloodless coup. And it will happen as conditions continue to worsen.”

“The first thing to do is organize with tax revolts. That’s going to be the big one because people can’t afford to pay more school tax, property tax, any kind of tax. You’re going to start seeing those kinds of protests start to develop.”

“It’s going to be very bleak. Very sad. And there is going to be a lot of homeless, the likes of which we have never seen before. Tent cities are already sprouting up around the country and we’re going to see many more.”

“We’re going to start seeing huge areas of vacant real estate and squatters living in them as well. It’s going to be a picture the likes of which Americans are not going to be used to. It’s going to come as a shock and with it, there’s going to be a lot of crime. And the crime is going to be a lot worse than it was before because in the last 1929 Depression, people’s minds weren’t wrecked on all these modern drugs – over-the-counter drugs, or crystal meth or whatever it might be. So, you have a huge underclass of very desperate people with their minds chemically blown beyond anybody’s comprehension.”

Expiration of Bush Tax Cuts Would Cost Families Thousands in 2011, Study Shows

Millions of families will be faced with thousands of dollars
in tax increases if the Bush tax cuts are allowed to expire at the end of the year, according to estimates from the nonpartisan Joint Committee on Taxation.

A preliminary report obtained by Fox News shows that several tax increases would hit hard if Congress does nothing to minimize the damage before Dec. 31.

The study found that raising just the lowest income tax rate from 10 percent to 15 percent would cost 88 million taxpayers an average of $503 next year.

Lowering the child tax credit from $1,000 to $500 per child would cost 31 million families an average of $1,033 in 2011; the reinstatement of the so-called marriage penalty, a peculiarity in the tax code that forces some married couples to pay more for income tax than they would if they were single, would cost 35 million couples an average of $595 each, according to the preliminary numbers.

Those changes are among a slew of tax increases that are scheduled to go into effect if Washington does not act.

Income tax rates will rise for almost every bracket, with the bottom rate going from 10 to 15 percent and the top rate going from 35 percent to 39.6 percent. Dividends and capital gains taxes also are expected to rise.

The Obama administration, though, is pushing a plan to extend the income tax cuts for middle-class families while letting tax breaks for the top 2-3 percent of income earners expire.

Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner said on ABC’s “This Week” on Sunday that the plan is the “responsible” route, arguing that it shows a commitment to reining in the deficit. The administration estimates that eliminating the top-tier tax break would save the government nearly $700 over the next decade.

A few prominent Democrats have questioned whether Congress should selectively halt some tax cuts, as Republicans claim ending the tax cuts for the top tier will hammer small businesses.

Democratic leaders, though, say the economy can spare higher taxes for the wealthy and plan for a showdown over the issue before November.

The Obama administration is seeking to make it easier for the FBI to compel companies to turn over records of an individual’s Internet activity without a court order if agents deem the information relevant to a terrorism or intelligence investigation.

The administration wants to add just four words — “electronic communication transactional records” — to a list of items that the law says the FBI may demand without a judge’s approval. Government lawyers say this category of information includes the addresses to which an Internet user sends e-mail; the times and dates e-mail was sent and received; and possibly a user’s browser history. It does not include, the lawyers hasten to point out, the “content” of e-mail or other Internet communication.
