UPDATE: Gov Bev Perdue(D-NC) Hypes Meme to Prevent GOP Super Majority in Senate 2012: Suspend Elections

Edit, September 30, 2011: Rush Limbaugh’s take on this…

Gov Bev Perdue(D-NC) Hypes Meme to Prevent GOP Super Majority in Senate 2012: Suspend Elections

The Democrat Party faces a very real possibility of a GOP Senate super-majority in the 2012 elections. Twenty Democrat Seats, ten GOP seats and two Independent seats are up for election next year. The GOP presently holds 47 seats in the US Senate.

The planting of political acorns is often done in oblique ways to see which memes can grow legs to detract from an unpleasant reality.

Take the case of Voter ID Vetoing North Carolina Democrat Governor Beverly Perdue. This is what she said in a speech to the Cary, N.C., Rotary Club today, September 27, 2011 (via The Political Observer) :

“You have to have more ability from Congress, I think, to work together and to get over the partisan bickering and focus on fixing things. I think we ought to suspend, perhaps, elections for Congress for two years and just tell them we won’t hold it against them, whatever decisions they make, to just let them help this country recover. I really hope that someone can agree with me on that. The one good thing about Raleigh is that for so many years we worked across party lines. It’s a little bit more contentious now but it’s not impossible to try to do what’s right in this state. You want people who don’t worry about the next election.”

Drawing immediate fire from the GOP, Gov Perdue’s office quickly reacted to this suspension of Congressional Elections meme with the disclaimer that the meme is hyperbole…  others on the left deflect it as a “joke.”

The word Hype is derived from the word Hyperbole.

If this was intended as a “joke” I will eat my blog.

Folks, this is what it has come to for desperate Democrat Party Elites facing a 2012 follow-up to the 2010 Democrat Party butt-kicking Progressive-Socialists suffered, the worst in 70 odd years.

That pesky U.S. Constitution is such an obstacle to Socialist Elites, eh Bev? …but planting such seeds in their fanatical followers minds has bent the dialog arc of politics before.

On a different but related subject, Gov Perdue was elected in a state voter backlash against Republican Governor Sanford who indulged his carnal urges at the sacrifice of his wife and the people of North Carolina who elected him.

Gee… first Mr Sanford then Mr Weiner… illicit sex and politics are bedfellows best avoided.

  1. Orca says:

I suspect Bammer would agree with her but maybe suspend it for 4 years or more is what he would like
Reality, we don’t need no stinking reality

  2. Foxwood says:

Sieg Heil und Guten Morgan fellow unAmerican Nazis!
It’s time to unfurl the Confederate Swastika and fire the cannon!

  3. Foxwood says:

I have a better idea. How about term limits for Senators and Representatives.

I have another great idea, but it’s not legal yet and I best not mention it. I don’t think some Senators or Representatives would like it.

  4. More goodies on this story here— I grit my teeth whenever she speaks frankly. Living under her is not fun.

    Hiya Orca & Foxwood!

Nothing would please the Socialist Hoard more than bringing down the USA and *enforcement* of the US Constitution is their biggest obstacle.

  7. Bob Mack says:

Perdue insists it was just a little joke between friends…you know, something like when Hitler said to Himmler, ‘Somebody should do something about all these Jews.’

  8. AFVET says:

Perdue should be impeached, plain and simple.
The people of N. Carolina should loudly protest her statements and threaten her with impeachment if she continues to suggest that elections should be suspended.
She has forgotten that she serves at the will of the people, not the other way around.
That is the problem with the most of these elitist bastards.

  9. m2 says:

    Hi everyone!!

Did anyone hear Glenn play the audio from Occupy Wall Street, and then the FBI informant discussing Ayer’s plans after they “take control of 250 million people” (in the 80’s) –since the SDS and their wealthy nutjob elites are behind the Rages.

Isn’t that creepy! They want to murder people who don’t agree with them. That Roseanne sound bite. It’s the work of the devil I tell you.

  10. VotingFemale says:

Bob Mack, nothing the Leftists come up with surprises me… they are facing desperate times and now employing their leftist measures.

All that to influence the Moderate 70 percent of voters… Well they are influencing them but not in the way they hope… all this is more gasoline on the political fire which is consuming the political power of leftists.

  11. VotingFemale says:

    Hiya M2!!

    Great to see you, Dear!

Roseanne Barr is insane and is going more insane by the moment. LOLOL

She is all in for imprisoning and murdering people who disagree with Obama & Co…

Yeah that will play well with the Independents.

Gov Perdue is all in for suspending elections in 2012.

These whack jobs are such sore losers!

American is coming for Obama & Co November 2012… it sucks to be a Liberal in America.

It is time to start gearing the blog up for the 2012 election cycle.

As most folks know, I am a long time supporter of Sarah Palin and awaiting her announcement with patience.

Folks are welcome to support whomever they feel is the best candidate and debate the differences leading up to picking the GOP Nominee.

    That is how democracy works!

I am very impressed with the traction Herman Cain has gained. WOW!

Oh the leftists… this so pops their “You’re All Racist” meme. ROFL!!!!

  13. Foxwood says:

I am all in for Cain if Palin does not jump in. I am not in for Christie. He is a RINO plant meant to set ORomney up for the win for the Republicans. The left is trying to select the Republican nominee like they did with McCain. Left meaning RINOs as well. It’s time to show these politicians who runs the country and it’s not them.

  14. Foxwood says:

BTW, M2, long time no see. Good to see you again. 🙂

  15. Foxwood says:

    Oh, did I forget something?

Sieg Heil und Guten Morgan fellow unAmerican Nazis!
It’s time to unfurl the Confederate Swastika and fire the cannon!

  16. AFVET says:

    Herman Cains’ bio is impressive.
IMO, all of the candidates should post their bios on national TV at the next debate.
We the People have a right to know.
If they would allow that to happen, we would have the opportunity to review the history of the next potential president of the United States.
Unlike Obama, who has sealed his records, they, by allowing their records to be released for public inspection would possibly inject some pressure on the current president.
Desperation has set in on the liberal left and it will be exposed yet again.
The desperation is due to the fact that they have an extremely weak POTUS.
He consistently falls all over himself, along with the VP, to anybody that has any degree of common sense.
His administration has severely underestimated the intelligence of the American People. (Moochie shopping at Target).
    Who is the fool ?

  17. VotingFemale says:

    I agree Foxwood and AFVET.

Herman Cain is impressive and the Media is shell shocked.

Like Cain said, voter voices are more powerful than the Media Propaganda Machines who thinks their poop dont have an odor.

  18. VotingFemale says:

While FOX News is the closest thing we have to a Conservative Media they have their own agenda… to elect Romney… just like they did in 2008.

If they think Christie is their new RINO Poster Boy to replace ORomney they are SADLY MISTAKEN.

Perry’s insult to Americans over taxpayer paid tuition for illegal Aliens was his defining moment. Plenty warned he was a Democrat in GOP clothing and in fact switched from DEM to GOP to win the Governor Election in Texas.

Palin is waiting for the precise moment in time to launch… and can not be bullied by any pundit or politician. They are not relevant, voter voices is the power and the media has to learn that lesson the hard way.
