Sen. Barbara Boxer, the bad good news… Breaking Update!

BREAKING Update appended below

Gloria? Gloria Feinstein? saying things are *gasp* “BAD” for Senator Ma’am Boxer?? the Senate financier for Code Pink’s Hamas-hugging $400,000,000 dollar boondoggle???

G*L*O*R*I*A you make us feel ALRIGHT!

What is bad news for Senator Boxer, despite lib polls showing her ahead, is what her campaign knows to be the truth… that she is more likely than not to lose re-election.

And just because it is sooo damn funny:

Bad for her, good for us. Imagine not seeing her pompous asshat attitude in congress ever again.

Any bets Senator Ma’am will not concede when she loses? and demands a recount? and blames FOX News? and Glenn Beck? and runs crying to Barry for some comforting marxist huggage and kissage? There there Barbie Baby, your uncle Barry will find you a bully-role job in the defense department supervising enforcement of “Ask and Tell.”

From the San Francisco Chronicle (emphasis mine):

Feinstein was at a campaign event for Sen. Barbara Boxer in San Jose, and was asked by KTVU’s Randy Shandobil how things were going, and she replied, “bad.”

Feinstein is Boxer’s campaign co-chair.
[…]
Although an LAT poll over the weekend put Boxer ahead [of Carly Fiorina by] 8 points, most other polls, including internal GOP polls, show Fiorina about a point behind.

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, after the National Republican Senatorial Committee announced it was raising its bid on Fiorina by $3 million yesterday, said it was coming to Boxer’s aid, but wouldn’t say by how much.

Pretty remarkable that Dems are having to defend deep blue California. It’s clear this is the toughest race Boxer has run since her election in 1992.

Seems the bounty on the Senate Seat Senator Ma’am has been misusing has had a $3 million GOP increase this week.

California is headed over a financial cliff and many voters see the cliff’s edge dead ahead. Boxer will not save them… and instead will help push them over.

BREAKING Update via Pajamas Media:

In a breaking development that may affect the close California Senate race, Pajamas Media has learned The Foundation for Ethics in Public Service sent a letter to Eric Holder last Thursday requesting the attorney general “begin an investigation to determine whether United States Senator Barbara Boxer violated any criminal laws or should be liable for any civil penalty for failure to disclose real property on her Personal Financial Disclosure Reports between 2002 and 2010.”

The Foundation for Ethics in Public Service is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization “that seeks to bring a new level of transparency, accountability and integrity to all levels of government in the United States.”  Boxer is the chair of the Senate Select Committee on Ethics.

The specific property FEPS is referring to is an Oakland, California, home valued at over a million dollars and co-owned by Boxer, her husband Stewart, their son Douglas, and his wife Amy.

Stimulus Failure: 48 Out of 50 States Lost Jobs Since Democrats Trillion Dollar Stimulus Plan
    by Publius

The Department of Labor today released its latest state-by-state job report, showing state jobs and unemployment data for September 2010. This latest data, when compared with the level of jobs in February 2009, when President Obama signed Democrats’ trillion-dollar stimulus plan into law, reveals that 48 out of 50 States have lost jobs since then.

Court voids Arizona law on voter proof of citizenship

    by Bob Christie – Oct. 26, 2010 03:15 PM
    Associated Press

A federal appeals court has struck down a key part of Arizona’s law requiring voters to prove they are citizens before registering to vote or casting ballots.

Tuesday’s decision by a panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals found that the law requiring voters to prove their citizenship while registering is inconsistent with the National Voter Registration Act. That federal law allows voters to fill out a mail-in card and swear they are citizens under penalty of perjury, but doesn’t require them to show proof as Arizona’s law does.

HOUSTON VOTES AND ELECTORAL FRAUD…. SHEILA JACKSON LEE IN THE MIDDLE OF IT, THREATENING POLL-WATCHER WITH HOLDER’S DOJ

Houston Votes Project Director admits to possible voter fraud

Soros group launches attack on poll watchers
Jackson Lee accused of threatening observers with Justice investigation

NEW YORK – AUGUST 19: George Soros, founder and chairman of the Open Society Institute and a billionaire investor, speaks at a forum addressing the global response to the flood in Pakistan at the Asia Society August 19, 2010 in New York City. The devastating flood, one of the worst in Pakistan’s history, has affected about one-fifth of Pakistan’s territory and left over 4 million homeless. (Photo by Spencer Platt/Getty Images)

A George Soros-funded organization, aided by Texas U.S. Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, a Democrat, apparently is trying to chase volunteer observers from precinct polling locations across Harris County, Texas, after the watchers found election judges and clerks allegedly voting for citizens who were undecided.

“Only a week into early voting, volunteer poll-watchers also are being verbally and physically harassed by people loitering at the polls with no intention to vote at the time, including a man identified as a reverend and Houston Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, who was seen inside the polling location electioneering and threatening to turn a poll-watcher’s name to the Department of Justice for voter intimidation,” said a statement from Liberty Institute.

The dispute has its roots in the bitter fight over elections that has developed in 2010, as Democrats both nationally and locally are feeling the sting of abandonment by voters who are enraged by the general takeover of society being pursued by President Obama.

Obama: My name’s not on the ballot this fall, but my agenda is
    By Michael O’Brien – 10/26/10 03:46 PM ET

The president suggested the outcome of key elections next Tuesday could determine the fate of his legislative priorities.

The president stopped short of saying next week’s election is a referendum on his policies, but suggested the outcome of key elections next Tuesday could determine the fate of his agenda.

“My name may not be on the ballot, but our agenda for moving forward is on the ballot, and I need everybody to turn out,” Obama said Tuesday afternoon during an appearance on the Rev. Al Sharpton’s radio show.

Obama made the remarks to appeal to African-American voters to show up for Democrats at the polls. The president has made appeals to young voters and Latino voters in recent days in order to try to drive high voter turnout and replicate the coalition that propelled him and congressional Democrats to victory in 2008.

To that end, the president will also participate this evening in a conference call with black leaders.

Obama has tried to be as stark as possible about the election’s repercussions for his legislative priorities while keeping the heat on Republicans. Many Democratic candidates who have enjoyed success in their campaigns have often done so by making the race about their GOP opponent, rather than Obama, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) or any of the signature bills the Democratic Congress has passed in the last two years.

“They can’t talk about their record,” House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) said on Monday in a radio appearance. “You know, this election is going to be a referendum on their job-killing policies.”

“I also think anybody who is concerned about the direction of the country has to understand that this election is just as important as 2008,” Obama explained to Sharpton.

He added that the 2008 elections only won Democrats the ability to start effecting change in Washington — a variation on the president’s frequent admonition on the campaign trail that the “change” he promised in his campaign is difficult.

“Essentially, in 2008, we won the ability to start making change, and that’s what we’ve done over the last two years,” Obama said.

Nevada Voters Complain Of Problems At Polls
    Clark County Insists Election Fraud-Free

    POSTED: 9:49 pm PDT October 25, 2010
    UPDATED: 6:39 pm PDT October 26, 2010

facebookdel.icio.usbuzzdiggreddit›› Email›› PrintLAS VEGAS — Some voters in Boulder City complained on Monday that their ballot had been cast before they went to the polls, raising questions about Clark County’s electronic voting machines.

Voter Joyce Ferrara said when they went to vote for Republican Sharron Angle, her Democratic opponent, Sen. Harry Reid’s name was already checked.

Ferrara said she wasn’t alone in her voting experience. She said her husband and several others voting at the same time all had the same thing happen.

“Something’s not right,” Ferrara said. “One person that’s a fluke. Two, that’s strange. But several within a five minute period of time — that’s wrong.”

Clark County Registrar of Voters Larry Lomax said there is no voter fraud, although the issues do come up because the touch-screens are sensitive. For that reason, a person may not want to have their fingers linger too long on the screen after they make a selection at any time.

“Especially in a community with elderly citizens (they have) difficulty in (casting their) ballot,” Lomax said. “Team leaders said there were complaints (and the) race filled in.”

At any time, voters can go back on the screen and review their selections. They are also allowed to make changes and encouraged to double-check their ballot on screen and on paper before it is cast.

Lomax said claims the machines were altered in any way were “patently false” and said at no time did any of those voters report the incident to staff at their polling location.

“In fact, although over 160,000 people have voted early in Clark County, those allegations that have been made have gone directly to the media as opposed to election board officers,” he said.

Nevada voting machines automatically checking Harry Reid’s name; voting machine technicians are SEIU members
    By: Mark Hemingway
    Commentary Staff Writer
    10/26/10 6:12 PM EDT

Clark County is where three quarters of Nevada’s residents and live and where Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s son Rory is a county commissioner. Rory is also a Democratic candidate for governor.

Since early voting started, there have been credible reports that voting machines in Clark County, Nevada are automatically checking Harry Reid’s name on the ballot:

Now there’s absolutely no independently verified evidence of chicanery with the voting machines (yet), but it is worth noting that the voting machine technicians in Clark County are members of the Service Employees International Union. The SEIU spent $63 million in elections in 2008 and is planning on spending $44 million more this election cycle — nearly all of that on Democrats. White House political director Patrick Gaspard is formerly the SEIU’s top lobbyist, and former SEIU president Andy Stern was the most frequent vistor to the White House last year.

Just in Nevada, the SEIU has given a lot to groups that are heavily vested in the state — in just one prominent example, the SEIU gave $500,000 to the Patriot Majority PAC, which has spent $1.3 million against Reid’s opponent Sharron Angle. They’ve and have dropped large sums directly on candidates:

    NV-3

    Joe Heck (R)

    Oppose

    $140,000.00

    NV-3

    Dina Titus (D)

    Support

    $344,984.00

    NV-Senate

    Sharron E. Angle (R)

    Oppose

    $225,000.00

Now the county voting technicians aren’t unique here — many of Clark County’s employees are also represented by the SEIU. But it is worth mentioning, the SEIU is hyperpoliticized and has seen its fair share of corruption. (It certainly seems more questionable than Diebold, the voting machine manufacturer with Republican ties that was at the center of many conspiracy theories on the left during the Bush administration.)

Unions increasingly have a major financial stake in election outcomes, both as a matter of their own election expenditures, and as a function of what they stand to gain if their legislative agenda is enacted. Should they really be responsible for tabulating the votes? That’s certainly something voters ought to think long and hard about.

Below is Clark County’s SEIU contract — On Page 75, in Appendix A, voting machine technicians are listed as positions represented by SEIU.

RWB News: Mi Familia Vota, the radical far left group owned by SEIU that turned in 3000 ballots in the final hour in Arizona. At last count 65% of those ballots were invalid due to the registrant not being a citizen, a wrong/invalid address, or a false signature. Now the same group was just caught with 6000 invalid ballots in Colorado — another state where the elections are tight.

Obama Reaching Out to Unions, Black Voters in Campaign Push From White House

President Obama is making the White House his campaign headquarters this week as he reaches out to historically Democratic voting blocs in a bid to drive up turnout and block a Republican landslide in Congress.

Though Obama is taking a rare break from the campaign trail, he’s taking care of business from Washington with a flurry of interviews, conference calls and pep talks.

He held a call Tuesday night with thousands of union activists to thank them for their help knocking on doors and working phone banks. After imploring voters to turn out like they did in 2008 during an interview Tuesday with American Urban Radio Networks, Obama plans to do more radio interviews in the days ahead with stations that have large black audiences.

A senior White House aide told Fox News that Obama will participate in a call with bloggers Wednesday, as well as tape an appearance on “The Daily Show.”

The president will wrap up the week with a final campaign swing through five states where Democratic candidates are locked in tight contests.

It’s a homestretch strategy based on how the White House believes the president can be most effective in an election in which his name is not on the ballot but his agenda is up for debate.

White House officials say that while they still see value in the large rallies Obama has been holding across the country this month — he’ll headline three more this weekend — they also recognize that with just six days until the election, many voters have already made up their minds. The president’s time, they argue, can sometimes be better spent getting voters who already support his agenda to the polls rather than trying to win new converts.

“You’ve identified who your voters are,” White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said Tuesday, adding that now is the time to get those voters motivated to show up on Election Day.
Obama said in the radio interview Tuesday that if supporters turn out like they did in 2008, “we’ll win.”

That argument will be a central part of Obama’s message during his final campaign stops, beginning with a trip to Charlottesville, Va., Friday on behalf of embattled Rep. Tom Perriello. Obama will also take part in a canvassing event Saturday in Philadelphia and headline rallies in Bridgeport, Conn., and Chicago the same day.

Obama will be joined by Vice President Joe Biden for a rally in Cleveland on Sunday, his final stop before Tuesday’s elections.

Though the president has made numerous campaign trips in recent weeks, White House communications director Dan Pfeiffer said Obama aides had long planned for the president to spend much of the final week before Election Day in Washington, noting that Obama’s duties extend beyond the campaign trail.

“There’s always more on the president’s plate than can possibly be handled at one time,” Pfeiffer said.

Officials say the president has been getting daily updates on the midterms during meetings with his senior advisers. He also gets more detailed guidance on individual races from state and local officials when he’s on the road campaigning for candidates.

The White House is also relying on Biden and Michelle Obama to rally Democrats on the road. Biden has campaign stops planned every day through Sunday.

The first lady is wrapping up a West Coast campaign swing in Los Angeles on Wednesday and will hit the trail again Monday with events in Las Vegas and Philadelphia.

Fox News’ Mike Emanuel and The Associated Press contributed to this report.
