Presidential Yacht in Un-American Distress; replete with deserting rats

The White House must feel like a floundering Presidential Yacht on fire these days as contrasted with the mood on January 20, 2009 when Obama took up residency.

  • It is so bad, Mr President felt it necessary to actually have a church attendance photo-op. Who’s idea was that, Barack? Yours? Did it bolster your polls? No?
  • Who’s idea was it to publicly attack Rep John Boehner? Yours? Did it help your polls? No?
  • Attacking FOX News again? Think that will turn public opinion  back in your favor? I don’t see it happening, Barry.
  • How is your friend Imam Rauf doing with his Ground Zero Mosque project you back? Not Good?
  • How is the ‘immediate shut down of Gitmo’ project of yours going? It’s schedule slip is approaching two years …just sayin’
  • Got any good ideas on putting a positive spin on the 9.6% unemployment number today besides blaming it on Bush? Perhaps you can try blaming it on FOX News. What do ya think?
  • About that Tea Party thing, how is your campaign of hate going against normal everyday people? Is it improving prospects for stemming the looming DEM meltdown coming November 2, 2010? Do you hate them all the more that they are normal concerned regular folks with legitimate worries and concerns about the direction in which their country is being lead? What’s that? It’s not working? awww….

See, Mr President… reality and BS are polar opposites no matter how well you deliver a speech from a teleprompter and no matter how many lamestream media pundits are feverishly working for you… because… reality is bucking your BS and the results of your policies.

David Axelrod and Rahm Emanuel are planning on departing the sinking WH administration? Tongues are wagging… some say to avoid further tainting of what is left of their battered political reputations. Who ya gonna call? Bush Busters?

Have you instructed your WH staff to organize a victory party for mid-term election night to celebrate the success of your first two years proving you have the support of voters? No? Perhaps if you do plan on having that party you would inviting Sarah Palin to the WH  to  help you celebrate? What do ya think?

Obama, having earned a reputation for his debilitating paranoia, faces an ever shrinking already small ‘inner circle.’ Failure in slow motion is depressing but his failure is a net positive gain for the country in the long run. Heaven help us if he had been successful in forcing Americans to accept his Socialist agenda of pushing Americans and their country into mediocrity. Right, Rush?

Really, all that is left is the complete disintegration of pride before the final fall.

Have another ciggie, Barack, and look on the bright side; all this will end on January 20, 2013 and the misery of criticism of your daily presidential failures will finally cease. You can go back to Chicago, blame Bush for the rest of your life and be the next Jesse Jackson, Sr. Think of the fun you will have bashing President Palin. After all, hate really is your only strong suit.

Whoever told you that you would be successful, lied to you Barack. Or was it you who who convinced yourself of that?

Sources say President’s 2 Closest Advisors Heading for Other Pursuits in Latest News on Pending D.C. Shakeup
    By Bill Plante

(CBS) President Obama’s inner circle will likely be losing some key players. CBS News senior White House correspondent Bill Plante reports that sources say David Axelrod, the president’s closest advisor, will move to Chicago next spring.

Axelrod is expected to reassume his role as campaign manager in Mr. Obama’s 2012 reelection bid. A potential, if not likely, replacement for Axelrod is current White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs.

Examiner Editorial: Obamacare is even worse than critics thought

    Examiner Editorial
    September 22, 2010

Much more has been revealed about Obamacare since President Obama, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi pushed the bill on Americans six months ago. (J. Scott Applewhite/AP file)

Six months ago, President Obama, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi rammed Obamacare down the throats of an unwilling American public. Half a year removed from the unprecedented legislative chicanery and backroom dealing that characterized the bill’s passage, we know much more about the bill than we did then. A few of the revelations:

» ?Obamacare won’t decrease health care costs for the government. According to Medicare’s actuary, it will increase costs. The same is likely to happen for privately funded health care.

» ?As written, Obamacare covers elective abortions, contrary to Obama’s promise that it wouldn’t. This means that tax dollars will be used to pay for a procedure millions of Americans across the political spectrum view as immoral. Supposedly, the Department of Health and Human Services will bar abortion coverage with new regulations but these will likely be tied up for years in litigation, and in the end may not survive the court challenge.

» ?Obamacare won’t allow employees or most small businesses to keep the coverage they have and like. By Obama’s estimates, as many as 69 percent of employees, 80 percent of small businesses, and 64 percent of large businesses will be forced to change coverage, probably to more expensive plans.

» ?Obamacare will increase insurance premiums — in some places, it already has. Insurers, suddenly forced to cover clients’ children until age 26, have little choice but to raise premiums, and they attribute to Obamacare’s mandates a 1 to 9 percent increase. Obama’s only method of preventing massive rate increases so far has been to threaten insurers.

» ?Obamacare will force seasonal employers — especially the ski and amusement park industries — to pay huge fines, cut hours, or lay off employees.

» ?Obamacare forces states to guarantee not only payment but also treatment for indigent Medicaid patients. With many doctors now refusing to take Medicaid (because they lose money doing so), cash-strapped states could be sued and ordered to increase reimbursement rates beyond their means.

» ?Obamacare imposes a huge nonmedical tax compliance burden on small business. It will require them to mail IRS 1099 tax forms to every vendor from whom they make purchases of more than $600 in a year, with duplicate forms going to the Internal Revenue Service. Like so much else in the 2,500-page bill, our senators and representatives were apparently unaware of this when they passed the measure.

» ?Obamacare allows the IRS to confiscate part or all of your tax refund if you do not purchase a qualified insurance plan. The bill funds 16,000 new IRS agents to make sure Americans stay in line.

If you wonder why so many American voters are angry, and no longer give Obama the benefit of the doubt on a variety of issues, you need look no further than Obamacare, whose birthday gift to America might just be a GOP congressional majority.

    Failure to charge riles Muslims

Ingham prosecutor says Quran burning not a hate crime

    The Detroit News
Detroit –Local Muslim leaders are upset prosecutors won’t pursue charges against a man who burned a Quran outside an East Lansing mosque.

Stuart Dunnings III, prosecuting attorney in Ingham County, said Wednesday that authorities “didn’t find there was any violation of Michigan law.”

Burning a holy book, whose pages were found outside the Islamic Center of East Lansing on Sept. 11, doesn’t qualify as a hate crime, Dunnings said.

“We don’t have a hate crime. There was no threat of physical intimidation because (the man who burned the Quran) was the only one there at the time,” Dunnings said.

The act also was protected by the First Amendment, said Dunnings, who equated it to burning a flag.

“It can also fall under drunken stupidity,” he said.

The incident, which occurred on the ninth anniversary of the 2001 terror attacks, prompted worldwide condemnation and rioting in India.

A Lansing man, whose identity has not been released, told police he burned the holy book. He should face federal charges, said Dawud Walid, executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations-Michigan.

“Not to prosecute this hate crime would send a terrible message to bigots that there will be no legal repercussion against those who intimidate Muslims at their houses of worship,” Walid said.

Officials at the Islamic Center said that while they “had wished from the very beginning that the individual who burnt the Quran be forgiven,” he has hurt a lot of people.

“While this individual may not have broken any Michigan law, he has caused tremendous grief to a lot of people both locally and beyond our community,” wrote Dr. Mahmoud Mousa, president of the Islamic Society of Greater Lansing.

He said the mosque has a “Learn, Don’t Burn” campaign that gives away Qurans free to promote understanding.

“We should all promote a message of mutual respect and tolerance. If anything, this incident has strengthened the will and determination of our communities to live together in peace and harmony,” Mousa said.

“We hope this will be the message that the rest of the world learns from this unfortunate incident,” he said.

“We wish that no race, religion or community would undergo the pain that we underwent.”

RNC Pays Palin Legal Bills in Exchange for Help
    Published September 23, 2010 |

The Republican National Committee is paying off some of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s sizable legal fees dating back to the 2008 presidential campaign in exchange for her help raising money for the financially strapped RNC during the campaign season, The Washington Times has learned.

The Times obtained a copy of a check for $128,518.85 that was made out to Anchorage law firm Clapp, Peterson, Van Flein, Tiemessen & Thorsness, which Palin hired after a string of ethics charges were lodged against her when she was Alaska’s governor and the GOP’s nominee for vice president.

RNC Treasurer Randy Pullen, who co-signed the check with RNC Chief Administrative Officer Boyd Rutherford, said Rutherford told him the check was in exchange for Palin’s help with RNC Chairman Michael S. Steele to raise money for midterm election campaigns.

“The initial payment was for Palin to do several different fundraising events and sign fundraising letters for the RNC,” Pullen said. He said the RNC has committed to sending the Anchorage law firm a second check of an equal amount, which would bring the total to $257,037.70.

Asked about Palin’s role with the RNC this fall, spokesman Doug Heye declined to say whether her fundraising help was the purpose of the check. He said only that “the disbursement relates to legal fees incurred during the summer and fall of 2008, when Democrats engaged in a partisan witch hunt against Gov. Palin. Based on conversations in 2008, the RNC decided to step in to help.”

Other Republican officials have worried about the state of the national party’s finances under Steele, in a midterm election season in which Republicans see huge numbers of Democratic seats in play.
