Mr. Karl Rove is paddling in the wrong direction and he is not stopping.
He is clinging to the old school GOP “only we aristocrats know what’s best for the party” mentality which voters are rejecting in their determination to oust incumbents who “just don’t get it.”
Public censure of his behavior is building and he ignores and belittles it in typical Washingtonian Elitist ‘my way or the highway’ arrogance. This is the pivot point that was coming and Rove has put his stake in the ground along with a few others yesterday such as Dana Perino and Charles Krauthammer.
“I’ve never heard Karl so animated against a Democrat as he was against Christine O’Donnell last night[election night],” said Rush Limbaugh said the day after Christine O’Donnell’s upset over Mike Castle.
To Bill O’Reilly: “Bill, it wouldn’t be prudent of me either, to get into a tussle with Karl Rove as you say, but what the heck, let’s go ahead and do it,” said Sarah Palin.
“Some of these good old boys, and I have nothing against Karl Rove personally you know, he’s the [quote]expert.[unquote] But Bill? some of these folks are saying that people like Christine O’Donnell and others — tea party Americans — can’t win because they don’t want them to win …because they know a Christine O’Donnell, a Joe Miller from Alaska, in gubernatorial races like Susana Martinez, and Nikki Haley — these folks are gonna shake it up, and they are gonna do what’s right for America; not necessarily what is right for a political party machine,” Palin went on to say.
If only these non-aristocratic “little people” would quit acting like they have a right to be heard, respected, and elected, and have a say in how this country is run. No wonder Karl Rove is postal; the kingdom is under siege. Perhaps that is how King George felt when he learned the Colonies were in revolt against his majesty’s rule.
The evening after Christine O’Donnell’s victory …the day Christine’s stunning money-bomb propelled her campaign coffers from $20,ooo to over $750,000, Karl Rove said to Greta Van Susteren in so many words on air as if he alone controls the narrative: it’s not about Mike Castle ….it’s not about establishment GOP leadership vs the voter conservative wave …it’s about Christine O’Donnell (personally).
Quite noticeably, Rove had to give up harping about Christine’s lack of campaign funds as a means of preemptively declaring her “unelectable.”
As anyone can tell you, it was no easy feat that Christine got elected on a shoe-string budget against a significantly GOP-funded Castle campaign machine.
Rove proceeded to repeat his bashing of the Republican candidate for the Delaware Senate seat …purposefully lending his spiteful support to Democrat Coons in his Senate bid. I never thought I would see a “Republican” campaigning for a Democrat like this. Now I have and it is disgusting.
This has all the characteristics of an embarrassing “pride goeth before the fall” process and make no mistake about it, Rove is going down with a struggle.
It is obvious that Rove’s desire for Coons to win is at least in part, raging spite. Look to Rove to do what he can to fulfill that outcome. Bitterness is such an ugly thing.
Reality is… We don’t need Karl Rove. He is in the way …obsolete. And, we didn’t need Mike Castle voting to support Socialist agendas contrary to the needs of the country.
Castle needs to join the Democrat Party; his cover is blown.
