Breaking: Anti-Jindal Activists confirmed as attackers on Jindal Staffer in New Orleans

It is now reported that the attack was by five Anti-Jindal Democrat Activists who followed the two conservatives following a fund raiser and waited until they were in a dimly lit area to carry out their attack.

It is also reported that Allee Bautsch was knocked to the ground then stomped to the point of breaking her left leg in five places. Miss Bautsch remains hospitalized.

Conservatives Allee Bautsch & Joe Brown, New Orleans political beating victims

It is hypothesized that the reluctance to previously disclose the motivation for this vicious attack on the young woman had been withheld to forestall retributive counter attacks on the Anti-Jindal organization members.

The New Orleans Police Department and the Jindal Administration, for an heretofore mysterious reason, had failed to confirm the motivation for the vicious attack on Allee Bautsch, chief fundraiser for Louisiana’s Republican Gov. Bobby Jindal, last Friday night as she and her boyfriend, Joe Brown, left Brennan’s after where a Louisiana Republican Party fundraiser was held.

That was until today. My source for this new development in the story is FOX News’ Megyn Kelly on-air a few minutes ago. Kelly’s report was based in part on a live on-air conversation with Miss Bautsch’s Mother and this from Pat Dollard:

Politico And Yahoo News’ The Newsroom Discuss My New Orleans Beatdown Post
April 16th, 2010 Posted By Pat Dollard.

Ben Smith at Politico:

Many reporters have been (rightly) cautious about describing an assault on a Jindal aide in New Orleans last Friday as linked to politics, and Jindal’s office has done its best to damp down that storyline.

But a New Orleans Police Department spokesman now tells a conservative blogger that the assault was “of a political nature,” which a source of Brett Michael Dykes’ backs up.

New Orleans Police Department Spokesman Bob Young tells me that “that information is part of the investigation,” and that he hasn’t been told whether the assault was political or not.”

“I have no idea what the motive was,” he said.

Young said he’d spoken yesterday to a conservative blogger, Pat Dollard, who asked him repeatedly whether the attack was politically motivated, and that he’d told him he didn’t know.

Dollard quoted him saying the attack was politically motivated, but an irritated Young said the quote was the opposite of what he’d said and “completely incorrect.”

Excerpted from Yahoo News “The Newsroom”:

Last Friday night, Allee Bautsch, the chief fundraiser for Louisiana’s Republican Gov. Bobby Jindal, was violently assaulted, along with her boyfriend, outside of a famed New Orleans restaurant. Initial reports on the incident were murky, but Yahoo! News has learned that the attacks appear to have been politically motivated, and that Bautsch has been hospitalized for days to treat her injuries.

Though the nature of the attack has remained a bit of a mystery, some conservative blogs reported that Bautsch and Brown might have been targeted because they were wearing lapel pins expressing support for Sarah Palin. The former Alaska governor gave an address at the Leadership Conference that same day — but a Jindal spokesperson has since denied that either Bautsch or Brown was wearing a Palin pin.

That account has not been confirmed, but Yahoo! News spoke to a friend of Allee Bautsch who’s been in communication with her since the attack. The friend, who declined to be named because the attackers are still at large, described the group who descended on Bautsch and Brown as “some weird Bobby Jindal protesters” there in opposition to the state’s governor. The friend confirmed the earlier reports that Bautsch “got caught in the middle” of the altercation as she tried to break it up. Bautsch’s friend also reported that she’s in “loads of pain” with “rods in her leg and ankle,” but that she was also “released yesterday from the hospital and is resting at her home in Baton Rouge.”

These are two young people that were brutalized for having an opinion.
I just can’t wait for Obama to blame the white cop for the whole damn thing.
Will he invite the victims for a beer at the white house ???

  2. samiam60 says:

So, can we expect Clinton(who warns of violence by Tea Party People)and CNN to speak out against this LIBERAL VIOLENCE?

  3. samiam60 says:

Will Doperman(Oberman) and Chris Mathews scream with outrage over this Liberal Attack on a man and a woman?????

Will the asshats over at ircry post ireports condemning this action?

    Short answer is: NO.

They most likely won’t even mention it.

  4. samiam60 says:

Will Nancy Pelosi break into tears with fears of Liberal Violence in our streets?

  5. samiam60 says:

The fact is all the violence we have seen in the past 80 years has come from the Liberal Left through their violent protests to the violence of their lies and deceptions against the American People.

Ain’t gonna work this time Libs. We are wise to your depraved mind set and will continue to expose your Godless, morally empty agenda time and again. You are all Gutter Crawlers and the scum of the Earth.

    See you all in November!

  6. samiam60 says:

Ronald Reagan was the Great Communicator and Bill Clinton was the Great E-jack-ulator and nothing more.

You libs can keep your John Edwards, and Oprah’s of this world. We are on Gods side of history and the future. Guess who is gonna win?

  7. arlenearmy says:

As I mentioned in another post, civil unrest is on the horizon. Its on razor edge.

  8. samiam60 says:

Arlene, I agree about the Civil Unrest. I can feel it coming like never before. I think we all know what is coming and are reluctant to comment on it for fear of sounding extreme.

  9. arlenearmy says:

At this point in my life, nothing suprises me anymore. I just heard on Oreilly, that a congressman said something about punching Oreilly in the nose. If that had been Joe Wilson saying that about Olberman, he would had been censored.

What’s going on in government is the extreme. Considering that our military are already on the internet, who would have ever imagined that the president would block its access to a major news network.

Keep up the great work! I’m doing what I can to get your words out there! Thanks, also, for the link love you have been giving to Political Integrity Now. We gotta stick together!

  11. AFVET says:

We cannot allow that to happen on our side Arlene.
We cannot fall into the quagmire that the left wants to drag us into.
The violence we are witnessing is indicative of extent the left will go to to provoke us.
The signs at the tea parties, the brutality against the young aide of Bobby Jindal, Nancy Pelosi smiling and displaying the oversized gavel in front of thousands of agitated conservative Americans, when you know that security had to have warned her against that move should exemplify their desperation.

The pictures that are emerging from the folks that have attended the tea parties are testimony and evidence of the peaceful efforts of Americans utilizing their right to free speech.

    God Bless America !

  12. samiam60 says:

    Good Morning America 🙂

  13. samiam60 says:

    Here’s to US!!!!
No matter what our kids and the new generation think about us,

    To Those of Us Born
    1930 – 1979

At the end of this email is a quote of the month by Jay Leno.. If you don’t read anything else, please

    read what he said.

    Very well stated, Mr. Leno.

    1930’s, 40’s, 50’s,
    60’s and 70’s!!

First, we survived being born to mothers who smoked and/or drank while they were pregnant.

They took aspirin, ate blue cheese dressing, tuna from a can and didn’t get tested for diabetes.

Then after that trauma, we were put to sleep on our tummies in baby cribs covered
    with bright colored lead-base paints..

We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, locks on doors or cabinets and when we rode our bikes,
    we had baseball caps
    not helmets on our heads.

As infants & children, we would ride in cars with no car seats, no booster seats, no seat belts, no air bags, bald tires and sometimes no brakes.

Riding in the back of a pick- up truck on a warm day was always a special treat.

We drank water from the garden hose and not from a bottle.

We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle and no one actually died from this.

We ate cupcakes, white bread, real butter and bacon. We drank Kool-Aid made with real white sugar. And, we weren’t overweight.. WHY?

Because we were always outside playing…that’s why!

We would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were back when the streetlights came on..

No one was able to reach us all day. And, we were OKAY.

We would spend hours building our go-carts out of scraps
and then ride them down the hill,
only to find out we forgot the brakes. After running into the bushes a few times, we learned to solve the problem

We did not have Play stations, Nintendo’s and X-boxes. There were no video games, no 150 channels on cable, no video movies or DVD’s,
    no surround-sound or CD’s,
    no cell phones,
    no personal computers,
no Internet and no chat rooms.

WE HAD FRIENDS and we went outside and found them!

We fell out of trees, got cut, broke bones and teeth and there were no lawsuits from these accidents.

We would get spankings with wooden spoons, switches, ping pong paddles, or just a bare hand and no one would call child services to report abuse.

We ate worms and mud pies
    made from dirt, and
the worms did not live in us forever.

We were given BB guns for our 10th birthdays, made up games with sticks and tennis balls and, although we were told it would happen, we did not put out very many eyes.

We rode bikes or walked to a friend’s house and knocked on the door or rang the bell, or just walked in and talked to them.

Little League had tryouts and not everyone made the team.
Those who didn’t had to learn
    to deal with disappointment.

    Imagine that!!
The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke the law was unheard of. They actually sided with the law!

These generations have produced some of the best
risk-takers, problem solvers and inventors ever.

The past 50 years have been an explosion of innovation and new ideas.

We had freedom, failure, success and responsibility, and we learned how to deal with it all.

If YOU are one of them, CONGRATULATIONS!

You might want to share this with others who have had the luck to grow up as kids, before the lawyers and the government regulated so much of our lives for our own good.

While you are at it, forward it to your kids so they will know how brave and lucky their parents were.

Kind of makes you want to run through the house with scissors, doesn’t it ?
The quote of the month is by
    Jay Leno:

‘With hurricanes, tornados, fires out of control, mud slides, flooding, severe thunderstorms tearing up the country from one end to another, and with the threat of bird flu and terrorist attacks, are we sure this is a good time to take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance?’

    Good Morning Sam!

Sam, you just described my childhood.
At 18, I arrived at Lackland AFB, and was immediately slammed into the discipline of the US Military establishment.
I had matured 1000% at the end of basic training.
Any vet out there will basically tell you the same thing.
Given my childhood experiences in addition to my military experiences, I feel the level of wisdom I possess is on par with just about anyone else out there.
A conversation with a fellow vet is always comforting.

  17. arlenearmy says:

Im sure Leno maybe on to something. I have noticed that in the news, there sure is a lot of reporting of natural disasters: Earthquakes, Tsunami, and here lately – Volcano eruption. All affecting lives of too many. And all happening within 12 month time period. And all this does not suggest all is well in the land.

I have been getting the reports from

It is good to have a Fellow Vet here along with Arlene.

I too did a whole lot of growing up in Boot Camp!

They scared me straight and then sent me to a place where I would forever believe in God.

  19. samiam60 says:

Arlene is is somewhat unsettling to see so many Natural Disasters happening in rapid succession.

Not to mention we have the Man Made Disaster of Obama upon us.

  20. samiam60 says:

Today as we speak America is at a crossroads like we have never seen before. Our very Freedom and that of our Children and Grandchildren is a stake this very day. With that being said, I have to ask this Question of all of you who call yourselves Patriots.

    Where are you?

Did I mention racist?

If this includes you let me tell you a story about life.

  23. samiam60 says:

    Don’t be a grasshopper…

    This one is a little different… …
    Two Different Versions….
    …Two Different Morals

The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long,
building his house and laying up supplies for the winter.

The grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and
laughs and dances and plays the summer away..

Come winter, the ant is warm and well fed.

The grasshopper has no food or shelter,
so he dies out in the cold.

MORAL OF THE STORY: Be responsible for yourself!

The ant works hard in the withering heat
and the rain all summer long, building his house
and laying up supplies for the winter.

The grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and
laughs and dances and plays the summer away.

Come winter, the shivering grasshopper calls a
press conference and demands to know
why the ant should be allowed to be warm and
well fed while he is cold and starving.

CBS, NBC , PBS, CNN, and ABC show up
to provide pictures of the shivering
grasshopper next to a video of the ant
in his comfortable home with a table filled with food.

America is stunned by the sharp contrast.

How can this be, that in a country of such wealth,
this poor grasshopper is allowed to suffer so?

Kermit the Frog appears on Oprah with the
    grasshopper and everybody cries when
they sing, ‘It’s Not Easy Being Green…’

ACORN stages a demonstration in front of
the ant’s house where the news stations
film the group singing, We shall overcome.
Then Rev. Jeremiah Wright has the group kneel
down to pray to God for the grasshopper’s sake.

President Obama condemns the ant and
    blames President Bush, President Reagan,
    Christopher Columbus, and the Pope
    for the grasshopper’s plight.

Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid exclaim in an
interview with Larry King that the ant has
gotten rich off the back of the grasshopper ,
and both call for an immediate tax hike on the
ant to make him pay his fair share.

Finally, the EEOC drafts the Economic
    Equity & Anti-Grasshopper Act retroactive
to the beginning of the summer.

The ant is fined for failing to hire a proportionate
number of green bugs and, having nothing left
to pay his retroactive taxes, his home is confiscated by the

Government Green Czar and given to the grasshopper .

The story ends as we see the grasshopper and
his free-loading friends finishing up the last
bits of the ants food while the government
house he is in, which, as you recall,
just happens to be the ant’s old house,
    crumbles around them because the
    grasshopper doesn’t maintain it.

The ant has disappeared in the snow, never to be seen again.

The grasshopper is found dead in a drug related
incident, and the house, now abandoned, is taken
over by a gang of spiders who terrorize the ramshackle,
once prosperous and once peaceful, neighborhood.

The entire Nation collapses bringing the rest of the free world with it.

MORAL OF THE STORY: Be careful how you vote in 2010.

Now I guess telling this story makes me one of

    Those so-called astro-turfing redneck illiterate racist tea-bagging racist selfish gun-toting racist bible-carrying small-minded terrorist Jihadist-hating anti-communism torture-loving townhall-ranting non-existent 912 DC rallying racist tobacco chewing carbon-dioxide spewing racist confederate-nazi troglodytes and neanderthals? Did I mention racist?

  24. samiam60 says:

We my friends are in the epic battle of Good and Evil. No one said this was going to be pretty and no one said it would not get ugly. That is the nature of war, like it or not. Things get messy and sometimes we have to meet the enemy head on and yes ” FIGHT BACK”. I have just done that with a story. Fact is, the story is TRUE. Face it, being nice didn’t win World Wars now did it?

If your here to fight for your Freedom then you had better expect to get your hands dirty doing things you would rather not.

If you have no stomach for this fight then just stay away. I am here to WIN.

  25. samiam60 says:

I can remember a time in America when we had all Polish, all Irish, all Italian neighborhoods.

Folks, this Country is a melting pot of many nationalities and races. Is it no wonder that some tend to keep to themselves and that some choose to not associate with others. Is that not what Freedom means.

Find me one Country on planet earth where there are different races and nationalities that don’t always care to associate with one another.

Why is that so wrong. It happens within our own Families and Circles of Friends.

Political Correctness is really just Bullshit.

We are a free society and if someone don’t like me for who I am or what I stand for well that’s just ok with me. I don’t expect everyone to like me or agree with me in this life.

    So what am I saying?

I am saying the people will pick and choose whom they like and dislike and nothing is ever going to change that.

All men/women are Created Equal. It stops there.

What a person does with his or her life determines just how equal we are.

That applies to Race, Ethnic background and gender.

America is messed up these days because folks who clearly are not equal are given positions of importance based on their Heritage rather than their Qualifications.

Affirmative Action weakened American industry by virtue of unqualified individuals being placed in positions of power and decision making.

    It is just plain wrong!

This is the land of Opportunity for anyone who is willing to ” work ” for it. ( PERIOD. )

It is not the land of Opportunity for people who demand it by virtue of heritage.

    That’s just wrong.

So I guess that just makes me a Bigot and Racist now don’t it?

  26. samiam60 says:

In order to understand what is happening you need to learn the tactics used by the left. It is THEY that are and have been using the racial divison to cause the dissension, NOT us.
We are merely pointing out the INJUSTICE of what THEY are doing and fighting fire with fire. If we don’t stand up NOW, then they will continue to be granted MORE and MORE free passes to further their HATEFUL, Hurtful, Destructive and Derogatory agenda.

  27. samiam60 says:

Dear American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists and Obama supporters, et al:

We have stuck together since the late 1950’s, but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I want a divorce. I know we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations, but sadly, this relationship has run its course. Our two ideological sides of America cannot and will not ever agree on what is right so let’s just end it on friendly terms. We can smile and chalk it up to irreconcilable differences and go our own way.

Here is a model separation agreement:

Our two groups can equitably divide up this country by landmass each taking a portion.. That will be the difficult part, but I am sure our two sides can come to a friendly agreement. After that, it should be relatively easy! Our respective representatives can effortlessly divide other assets since both sides have such distinct and disparate tastes.

We don’t like re distributive taxes so you can keep them. You are welcome to the liberal judges and the ACLU. Since you hate guns and war, we’ll take our firearms, the cops, the NRA and the military. You can keep Oprah, Michael Moore and Rosie O’Donnell (You are, however, responsible for finding a bio-diesel vehicle big enough to move all three of them).

We’ll keep the capitalism, greedy corporations, pharmaceutical companies, Wal-Mart and Wall Street.. You can have your beloved homeboys, hippies and illegal aliens. We’ll keep the hot Alaskan hockey moms, greedy CEO’s and rednecks. We’ll keep the Bibles and give you NBC and Hollywood .

You can make nice with Iran and Palestine and we’ll retain the right to invade and hammer places that threaten us. You can have the peaceniks and war protesters.

When our allies or our way of life are under assault, we’ll help provide them security.

We’ll keep our Judeo-Christian values.. You are welcome to Islam, Scientology, Humanism and Shirley McClain. You can also have the U.N.. but we will no longer be paying the bill.

We’ll keep the SUVs, pickup trucks and oversized luxury cars. You can take every Volkswagen you can find.

We’ll keep The Battle Hymn of the Republic and the National Anthem. I’m sure you’ll be happy to substitute Imagine, I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing, Kum Ba Ya or We Are the World.

We’ll practice trickle down economics and you can give trickle up poverty your best shot. Since it often so offends you, we’ll keep our history, our name and our flag.

  28. samiam60 says:

Have you not Heard, have you not seen what is happening to Our America

It is time to Wake Up America and speak with a Loud Voice

Do not let your Freedoms slip into the Night

Fight for the Freedoms of our Forefathers and the blood that was shed to keep us Free

Socialism comes to us as a thief in the night!

Stand up and Speak out today for the Freedom we have all taken for granted

It is time to take Our Stand against the obvious move toward Socialism

God help us all and may God Bless these United States of America

  29. samiam60 says:

Professor Joseph Olson of Hemline University School of Law, St. Paul , Minnesota , points out some interesting facts concerning the Presidential election:

    * Number of States won by: Democrats: 19 Republicans: 29
    * Square miles of land won by: Democrats: 580,000 Republicans: 2,427,000
    * Population of counties won by: Democrats: 127 million Republicans: 143 million
    * Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by: Democrats: 13.2 Republicans: 2.1

Professor Olson adds: “In aggregate, the map of the territory Republicans won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of the country.

Democrat territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in government-owned tenements and living off various forms of government welfare…”
Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the “complacency and apathy” phase of Professor Tyler’s definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation’s population already having reached the “governmental dependency” phase.

If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegals and they vote, then we can say goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years.

If you are in favor of this, then by all means, delete this message.

If you are not, then pass this along to help everyone realize just how much is at stake, knowing that apathy is the greatest danger to our freedom.

“Fear is an instinct. Courage is a choice.”

all that there is a manger scene on display at a key intersection near

my beach house in **Malibu** . If people want a crèche, it’s just as

fine with me as is the Menorah a few hundred yards away.

I don’t like getting pushed around for being a Jew, and I don’t think

Christians like getting pushed around for being Christians. I think

people who believe in God are sick and tired of getting pushed around,

period. I have no idea where the concept came from that America is an

explicitly atheist country. I can’t find it in the Constitution and I

don’t like it being shoved down my throat.

Or maybe I can put it another way: where did the idea come from that we

should worship celebrities and we aren’t allowed to worship God as we

understand Him? I guess that’s a sign that I’m getting old, too. But

there are a lot of us who are wondering where these celebrities came

from and where the America we knew went to.

In light of the many jokes we send to one another for a laugh, this is a

little different: This is not intended to be a joke; it’s not funny,

it’s intended to get you thinking.

Billy Graham’s daughter was interviewed on the Early Show and Jane

Clayson asked her ‘How could God let something like this happen?’

(regarding Katrina) Anne Graham gave an extremely profound and

insightful response.. She said, ‘I believe God is deeply saddened by

this, just as we are, but for years we’ve been telling God to get out of

our schools, to get out of our government and to get out of our

lives. And being the gentleman He is, I believe He has calmly backed

out. How can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection

if we demand He leave us alone?’

In light of recent events… terrorists attack, school shootings, etc.

I think it started when Madeleine Murray O’Hare (she was murdered, her

body found a few years ago) complained she didn’t want prayer in our

schools, and we said OK. Then someone said you better not read the

Bible in school. The Bible says thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not

steal, and love your neighbor as yourself. And we said OK.

Then Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn’t spank our children when they

misbehave because their little personalities would be warped and we

might damage their self-esteem (Dr Spock’s son committed suicide). We

said an expert should know what he’s talking about. And we said OK.

Now we’re asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they

don’t know right from wrong, and why it doesn’t bother them to kill

    strangers, their classmates, and themselves.

Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it

out. I think it has a great deal to do with ‘WE REAP WHAT WE SOW.’

Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the

world’s going to hell Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but

question what the Bible says. Funny how you can send ‘jokes’ through

e-mail and they spread like wildfire but when you start sending messages

regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing. Funny how lewd,

crude, vulgar and obscene articles pass freely through cyberspace, but

public discussion of God is suppressed in the school and workplace.

  31. samiam60 says:

Once upon a time I was invited to the White House for a private
dinner with the President. I am a respected businessman, with a
factory that produces memory chips for computers and portable
There was some talk that my industry was being scrutinized by the
administration, but I paid it no mind. I live in a free country.
There’s nothing that the government can do to me if I’ve broken no
laws. My wealth was earned honestly, and an invitation to dinner with
an American President is an honor.

I checked my coat, was greeted by the Chief of Staff, and joined the
President in a yellow dining room. We sat across from each other at a
table draped in white linen. The Great Seal was embossed on the
china. Uniformed staff served our dinner.

The meal was served, and I was startled when my waiter suddenly
reached out, plucked a dinner roll off my plate, and began nibbling
it as he walked back to the kitchen.

“Sorry about that,” said the President. “Andrew is very hungry.”
“I don’t appreciate…” I began, but as I looked into the calm brown
eye across from me, I felt immediately guilty and petty. It was just
    a dinner roll.

“Of course,” I concluded, and reached for my glass. Before I could,
however, another waiter reached forward, took the glass away and
swallowed the wine in a single gulp.”And his brother, Eric, is very
    thirsty.” said the President.

I didn’t say anything. The President is testing my compassion, I

    I withheld
my comments and decided to play along. I don’t want to seem unkind.

My plate was whisked away before I had tasted a bite. “Eric’s
    children are also quiet hungry.
With a lurch, I crashed to the floor. My chair had been pulled out
from under me. I stood, brushing myself off angrily, and watched as
it was carried from the room.

And their grandmother can’t stand for long.”
I excused myself, smiling outwardly, but inside feeling like a fool.

Obviously I had been invited to the White House to be sport for some
I reached for my coat, to find that it had been taken. I turned back
    to the President.

“Their grandfather doesn’t like the cold.”
I wanted to shout, “that was my coat!” But again, I looked at the
placid smiling face of my host and decided I was being a poor sport.
I spread my hands helplessly and chuckled. Then I felt my hip pocket
and realized my wallet was gone. I excused myself and walked to a
phone on an elegant side table. I learned shortly that my credit
cards had been maxed out, my bank accounts emptied, my retirement and
equity portfolios had vanished, and my wife had been thrown out of
our home. Apparently, the waiters and their families were moving in.
The President hadn’t moved or spoken as I learned all this, but
finally I lowered the phone into its cradleand turned to face him.

“Andrew’s whole family has made bad financial decisions. They haven’t
planned for retirement, and they need a house. They recently
defaulted on a subprime mortgage. I told them they could have your
home. They need it more than you do.”

My hands were shaking. I felt faint. I stumbled back to the table and
knelt on the floor. The President cheerfully cut his meat, ate his
steak , and drank his wine. I lowered my eyes and stared at the small
grey circles on the tablecloth that were water drops.

“By the way,” He added, “I have just signed an Executive Order
nationalizing your factories. I’m firing you as head of your
business. I’ll be operating the firm now for the benefit of all

There’s a whole bunch of Erics and Andrews out there and they can’t
come to you for jobs groveling like beggars.”

I looked up. The President dropped his spoon into the empty ramekin
which had been his crème Brule. He drained the last drops of his
wine. As the table was cleared, he lit a cigarette and leaned back in
his chair. He stared at me. I clung to the edge of the table as if
were a ledge and I were a man hanging over an abyss. I thought of the
years behind me, of the life I had lived. The life I had earned with
a lifetime of work, risk and struggle. Why was I punished?
How had I allowed it to be taken? What game had I played and lost? I
looked across the table and noticed with some surprise that there was
    no game board between us.

    What had I done wrong?

As if answering the unspoken thought, the President suddenly cocked
his head, locked his empty eyes to mine, and bared a million teeth,
chuckling wryly as he folded his hands.

“You should have stopped me at the dinner roll,” he said.

My response: They are doing it in broad daylight in our faces. We are living in a nation of fear of our own government. 2010 midterm election is just about 7 months away, but it also seems so far away. What may be the saving grace is people’s natural instinct…. the instinct of self preservation for their own lives & the lives of their immediate family members.

I have been holding back for a long time here on the blog and am convinced it is time to speak out more boldly about the real issues we face instead of pussy footing around them.

Palin Taken Aback by Obama’s ‘Like It or Not’ Remark

    Associated Press

Sarah Palin criticized President Barack Obama on Saturday for saying America is a military superpower “whether we like it or not,” saying she was taken aback by his comment.

  43. samiam60 says:

“I would hope that our leaders in Washington, D.C., understand we like to be a dominant superpower,” the former Alaska governor said. “I don’t understand a world view where we have to question whether we like it or not that America is powerful.”

Obama said earlier this week that the United States must do its best to resolve conflicts around the world before they grow too serious.

“It is a vital national security interest of the United States to reduce these conflicts because whether we like it or not, we remain a dominant military superpower, and when conflicts break out, one way or another we get pulled into them,” Obama said. “And that ends up costing us significantly in terms of both blood and treasure.”

Palin’s remarks came in a question-and-answer session after a speech at an event in the central Illinois town of Washington to raise money for scholarships and a community center. She spoke to a crowd of about 1,100.

The Republican criticized Obama throughout her speech — for a healthcare overhaul that she says won’t work, for the increase in the national deficit and for disagreeing with Israeli policies.

Palin said she hopes the November elections will produce winners who believe in limited government and encouraging free enterprise.

She also poked fun at the controversy over the requirements listed in a contract for her speech at a California university. Palin thanked the organizers of Saturday’s event for providing a straw for her water bottle — “the bent kind, which I just read in the media that I supposedly insist upon.”

  45. samiam60 says:

LARAMIE, Wyo. — Bill Ayers and a University of Wyoming student are suing the school after it banned the former 1960s radical from speaking on campus.

Ayers, who is a professor at the University of Illinois-Chicago, makes college speeches and is routinely picketed, but the University of Wyoming last week banned him from using any university venue for a planned April 28 lecture.

Ayers and student Meg Lanker sued on Thursday, asking a federal judge to issue an injunction and allow the lecture. The lawsuit alleges the ban violates free speech rights and the freedom to assemble.

A university spokeswoman declined to comment on the suit.

Lanker told the Casper Star-Tribune that Ayers will speak at the Laramie Civic Center if he’s not allowed on campus.

Gates Warns U.S. Lacks Strategy on Iran Nukes

    Associated Press

Memo from Defense Secretary Robert Gates to the White House warns the United States lacks a nimble long-term plan for dealing with Iran’s nuclear program, according to a published report.

  47. samiam60 says:

WASHINGTON – A memo from Defense Secretary Robert Gates to the White House warned that the United States lacks a nimble long-term plan for dealing with Iran’s nuclear program, according to a published report.

Gates wrote the three-page memo in January and it set off efforts in the Pentagon, White House and intelligence agencies to come up with new options, including the use of the military, The New York Times said in its Sunday editions, quoting unnamed government officials.

White House officials Saturday night strongly disagreed with the comments that the memo caused a reconsideration of the administration’s approach to Iran.

“It is absolutely false that any memo touched off a reassessment of our options,” National Security Council spokesman Benjamin Rhodes told The Associated Press. “This administration has been planning for all contingencies regarding Iran for many months.”

One senior official described the memo as “a wake-up call,” the paper reported. But the recipient of the document, Gen. James Jones, President Barack Obama’s national security adviser, told the newspaper in an interview that the administration has a plan that “anticipates the full range of contingencies.”

Pentagon spokesman Geoff Morrell, who did not confirm the memo Saturday night, said the White House has reviewed many Iran options.

“The secretary believes the president and his national security team have spent an extraordinary amount of time and effort considering and preparing for the full range of contingencies with respect to Iran,” Morrell said.

The U.S. is pressing for new international sanctions against Iran. The memo contemplates a situation in which sanctions and diplomacy fail to dissuade Iran from pursuing nuclear capability, the Times said.

Obama set a deadline of the end of 2009 for Iran to respond to his offer of dialogue to resolve concerns about Iran’s accelerated nuclear development.

Iran spurned the offer, and since then the administration has pursued what it calls the “pressure track,” a combination of stepped-up military activity in Iran’s neighborhood and a hard push for a new round of international sanctions that would pinch Iran economically.

Gates and other senior members of the administration have issued increasingly stern warnings to Iran that its nuclear program is costing it friends and options worldwide, while sticking to the long-held view that a U.S. or Israeli military strike on Iranian nuclear facilities would be counterproductive.

Obama and other administration figures have drawn a line that says Iran will not be allowed to become a nuclear state, but they have not spelled out what the United States would do if Iran gained the ability to produce a weapon but does not actually field one.

Four senior administration officials told Congress last week that Iran is perhaps a year away from being able to build a weapon but that it would take two- to five additional years to turn the device into an effective weapon that could be launched against an enemy.

Iran claims its nuclear program is intended for energy production, not a weapon.

“All we really know is that Iran is widening and deepening its nuclear weapons capabilities, David Albright, founder and president of the Institute for Science and International Security, told the AP. “We don’t have any insight into what they’re thinking about doing — whether they’ll just live with a nuclear weapons capability which will probably include learning more about nuclear weapons themselves, or they’ll actually build them.”

I read somewhere this morning, where Bill Clinton is trying to put the blame on tea partiers, bloggers & right-wing media.

My intepretation of Clinton’s spin is this: He’s the one who is demonizing the tea partiers & he’s drawing the line in the sand. Basically what he’s saying is that anyone who speaks non-favorable of the government is an enemy of the government.

  52. arlenearmy says:

When the race card has been so overly used to the point that it aint working anymore, the left will try another tactic —- intimidation.

did you happen to see that AT blurb I pasted in the middle of last week about a biographer (a liberal one) who writes about Obama and ends up confirming Ayers wrote Dreams. And he also goes into detail about how the Obama’s squandered their advance on the 1st book deal, so that’s why he passed the old family papers and tapes of his grandmother in Africa over to Ayers… it really made the Obama’s look like chumps. He’s been clueless and assuaged his whole life.

Michelle Antoinette… let them eat cake.
    That is the Obama’s.
Not the least is the long description of his mediocre aptitude at school, yet he was always given positions. He also wasn’t a “professor” of law. That’s another LIE.

  78. tellitlikeitis says:

Arlene, glad you are doing ok. Yes, That’s what we are doing too. Surviving! I have been out of work for almost 3 months. Our budget is so tight right now it squeeks.

If they’re helping Obama, which is what Clinton was doing- there has to be an ulterior Clinton motive. They may be betting on Obama sinking (with his obviously terrible output from his ‘agenda’) and Hillary rising to power …

  91. tellitlikeitis says:

Kaos and turmoil will play right into their hands. Obama is not and American. He is a Kenyan communist.

  93. tellitlikeitis says:

    Yes, Where is Foxwood?

  94. arlenearmy says:

The administration dont care nothing about rushing things. Obama will declare marshl law if he thinks it will help him stay in power. They already know that dictatorship is on the peoples mind.

Look at what happened w/the obamacare bill. They rammed it through even though they know it WILL cost congressmen’s their job.

  95. tellitlikeitis says:

m2, In some respects I have to agree.

  97. m2 says:

    yeah, I agree Arlene, … and tellit…

  98. samiam60 says:

    Lets face the Facts here:

We all know the ultimate goal of the Obama Administration and the Progressives in Congress is a Socialist/Marxist Government. Thus Dictatorship is essential.

We all also know that the American People are NOT going to peacefully allow that to happen.

No Way. So we have to conclude that these thugs know full well they can only achieve this take over by Force.

C’mon, we all know where things are going. We just don’t know how soon it will come about.

  99. tellitlikeitis says:

OK, Lets say just for the hell of it. Obama declares Martial law. You have to ask yourself who will enforce it. The American military? I don’t thinks so and even if they do for how long.

  100. tellitlikeitis says:

    good night m2

  101. arlenearmy says:

Lets not forget when Obama bashed the tea partiers. He had the balls to say that tea partiers ought to thank him. In others words, Obama is saying that we the people need to kiss his feet & worship him.

As for who will enforce marshal law, it would be the military. Though I think it would be short lived.

  102. samiam60 says:

80% of them will obey Orders especially if they think they are restoring order. Look at how their propaganda has fooled almost half the American People.

  104. arlenearmy says:

Even Bill Clinton is getting his digs on conservatives. He’s trying to intimidate anyone who disagrees w/the government by portraying folks as a Timothy McVeigh.

In other words, the democrat party want folks to keep their mouths shut & to stop attending these tea party rallies.

Clinton made the remark to not only scare up tea party folks, but also right wing media & bloggers.

Poll: Trust in Big Government Near Historic Low

    Associated Press

The poll illustrates the ominous situation facing President Barack Obama and the Democratic Party as they struggle to maintain their comfortable congressional majorities in this fall’s elections.

WASHINGTON — Nearly 80 percent of Americans say they can’t trust Washington and they have little faith that the massive federal bureaucracy can solve the nation’s ills, according to a survey from the Pew Research Center that shows public confidence in the federal government at one of the lowest points in a half-century.

The poll released Sunday illustrates the ominous situation facing President Barack Obama and the Democratic Party as they struggle to maintain their comfortable congressional majorities in this fall’s elections. Midterm prospects are typically tough for the party in power. Add a toxic environment like this and lots of incumbent Democrats could be out of work.

The survey found that just 22 percent of those questioned say they can trust Washington almost always or most of the time and just 19 percent say they are basically content with it. Nearly half say the government negatively effects their daily lives, a sentiment that’s grown over the past dozen years.

This anti-government feeling has driven the tea party movement, reflected in fierce protests this past week.

“The government’s been lying to people for years. Politicians make promises to get elected, and when they get elected, they don’t follow through,” says Cindy Wanto, 57, a registered Democrat from Pennsylvania who joined several thousand for a rally in Washington on April 15 — the tax filing deadline. “There’s too much government in my business. It was a problem before Obama, but he’s certainly not helping fix it.”

Majorities in the survey call Washington too big and too powerful, and say it’s interfering too much in state and local matters. The public is split over whether the government should be responsible for dealing with critical problems or scaled back to reduce its power, presumably in favor of personal responsibility.

About half say they want a smaller government with fewer services, compared with roughly 40 percent who want a bigger government providing more. The public was evenly divided on those questions long before Obama was elected. Still, a majority supported the Obama administration exerting greater control over the economy during the recession.

“Trust in government rarely gets this low,” said Andrew Kohut, director of the nonpartisan center that conducted the survey. “Some of it’s backlash against Obama. But there are a lot of other things going on.”

And, he added: “Politics has poisoned the well.”

The survey found that Obama’s policies were partly to blame for a rise in distrustful, anti-government views. In his first year in office, the president orchestrated a government takeover of Detroit automakers, secured a $787 billion stimulus package and pushed to overhaul the health care system.

But the poll also identified a combination of factors that contributed to the electorate’s hostility: the recession that Obama inherited from President George W. Bush; a dispirited public; and anger with Congress and politicians of all political leanings.

“I want an honest government. This isn’t an honest government. It hasn’t been for some time,” said self-described independent David Willms, 54, of Florida. He faulted the White House and Congress under both parties.

The poll was based on four surveys done from March 11 to April 11 on landline and cell phones. The largest survey, of 2,500 adults, has a margin of sampling error of 2.5 percentage points; the others, of about 1,000 adults each, has a margin of sampling error of 4 percentage points.

In the short term, the deepening distrust is politically troubling for Obama and Democrats. Analysts say out-of-power Republicans could well benefit from the bitterness toward Washington come November, even though voters blame them, too, for partisan gridlock that hinders progress.

In a democracy built on the notion that citizens have a voice and a right to exercise it, the long-term consequences could prove to be simply unhealthy — or truly debilitating. Distrust could lead people to refuse to vote or get involved in their own communities. Apathy could set in, or worse — violence.

Democrats and Republicans both accept responsibility and fault the other party for the electorate’s lack of confidence.

“This should be a wake-up call. Both sides are guilty,” said Democratic Sen. Claire McCaskill. She pointed to “nonsense” that goes on during campaigns that leads to “promises made but not promises kept.” Still, she added: “Distrust of government is an all-American activity. It’s something we do as Americans and there’s nothing wrong with it.”

Sen. Scott Brown, a Republican who won a long-held Democratic Senate seat in Massachusetts in January by seizing on public antagonism toward Washington, said: “It’s clear Washington is broken. There’s too much partisan bickering to be able to solve the problems people want us to solve.”

And, he added: “It’s going to be reflected in the elections this fall.”

But Matthew Dowd, a top strategist on Bush’s re-election campaign who now shuns the Republican label, says both Republicans and Democrats are missing the mark.

“What the country wants is a community solution to the problems but not necessarily a federal government solution,” Dowd said. Democrats are emphasizing the federal government, while Republicans are saying it’s about the individual; neither is emphasizing the right combination to satisfy Americans, he said.

Arizona House OKs Bill Requiring Presidential Candidates to Provide Birth Certificate

The Arizona House approved a bill Wednesday that would require presidential candidates to show his or her birth certificate in order to be on the state’s ballot.

  171. samiam60 says:

PHOENIX — The Arizona House approved a bill Wednesday that would require presidential candidates to show his or her birth certificate in order to be on the state’s ballot.

The House approved the measure on a 31-29 vote after four Republicans joined all of the Democrats in opposing it. The measure still faces a Senate vote.

It would require U.S. presidential candidates who want to appear on the Arizona ballot to submit documents proving they meet the constitutional requirements to be president.

So-called “birthers” have contended since the 2008 presidential campaign that President Obama was born abroad, even after his official Hawaii birth certificate was made public along with birth notices that two Honolulu newspapers published in August 1961.

The Constitution says a person must be a “natural-born citizen” to be eligible for the presidency. Skeptics suggest Obama’s Hawaiian birth certificate is fake and say he was actually born in Kenya, his father’s homeland.

Supporters of the Arizona measure say it would help settle the controversy.

“I support this measure in order to remove this as any type of issue in the future,” said Rep. Cecil Ash, R-Mesa.

Opponents say it’s a waste of time that makes Arizona mocked by the rest of the country.

“I am ashamed that this is even a topic of discussion,” said Rep. Kyrsten Sinema, D-Phoenix.

The measure would require the secretary of state to review candidates’ documents and withhold a candidate from the ballot if he has “reasonable cause” to believe ineligibility.

Courts have rebuffed lawsuits challenging Obama’s eligibility to be president, but the issue hasn’t gone away.

    What’s new??

  175. ohiobelle says:

Hmmm…. the news is reporting that jobless claims are down 24,000 this week. I believe that is because unemployment wasn’t paid to 24,000 people this week. I was told there was an error with their system and that’s why I couldn’t be paid this week. I wonder how many of those 24,000 filed yet wasn’t paid?? Something to think about.

  176. ohiobelle says:

Are we to assume that our income taxes will be eliminated now that Obama & Co are supporting the value added tax?

I can’t wait for the day! We need to hold the Lame Stream accountable for what they say now and what they say when a GOP President is back in charge. I am sick and tired of the Lame Stream Media attacking the Tea Party and Fox News. They honestly have NOTHING to report if they aren’t talking down one of the two.

It’s funny to see the Obama-holic’s at MSNBC try to pick a fight with Fox News. I think it’s funny that Fox News doesn’t even respond. Fox is #1 and it’s killing the Lame Stream Media!! hahaha

  181. ohiobelle says:

I hardly ever hear anybody at Fox call out the loons at MSNBC especially by name. People like assclown Olbermann, his son Rachel, sissy boy Matthews, and hatemonger Ed Schultz, are always talking about Beck, Hannity, and Rush. They talk down to anybody that opposes their views!

This is why MSNBC’s ratings are falling faster than Obama’s approval ratings.

  188. AFVET says:

You said ‘they talk down to anybody that oppose their views’.
Saul Alinsky said ‘isolate, ridicule, destroy’.
We saw this with the Bush administration.
Now, anytime anybody opposes anything that Obama is proposing is demeaned and ridiculed as a right wing racist attempt to corrupt policies that are necessary for this country to survive.

Gird your loins my friends, it’s going to get really ugly out there.
The last ditch effort to sustain their power will be to control the 2010 November elections.

Bertha Lewis, head of ACORN stated that the Tea Party movement essentially needs to be contained. HUH ?
I heard her speak on Glenn Beck’s radio program this morning, (sound byte).

We are up against an enemy that is determined to destroy the very fabric America was built upon.
We cannot allow that to happen.

  189. m2 says:

    Bertha Lewis of ACORN —

” First of all, let me just say that any group that says “I’m young, I’m democratic, and I’m a socialist” is alright with me. [applause]

The reason that you have to build your organization, and make it as big and as powerful as you can, is because you need to get into real battles. And here’s what I think you need to do. And you need make sure that you get into this battle. The next big battle that’s coming…whether healthcare lives or dies…[break]

Immigration is the next big battle. Immigration, immigration, immigration. And the reason this is so important is, you know, here’s the secret [whispers]:

We’re getting ready to me a majority, minority country. Shhhh. [applause] We’ll be like South Africa. More black people than white people. [laughter] Don’t tell anybody.

You get yourselves together, get strong, get big, and get in this battle. Get in this battle! Because again it’s all about money. How this country works. Who we have in this country. And the fact that a fear of a black planet that’s being played out in the United States today. The future of our country is people of color. And how that’s going to change our psyche and our economics, this is why folks are grabbing so hard to change the economic paradigm, because we gettin’ ready to have a majority country of people of color. And the fear of a black planet is real. [break]

My challenge to black folks, and to people of color and civil rights folks, are as this: the face of immigration needs to be a lot blacker than it is. Because once they can frame the immigration debate as about Latinos, crossing some mythical border, when in fact we have second and third generation black folks in this country who come from immigrant families. But they’re not standing up and marching with their Latino brothers and sisters, and saying “I am an immigrant too”…[break]

So Young Democratic Socialists, join this immigration war. Black people, young black people that have been put in the vast vat of “African Americans”, JOIN. Don’t march along side, don’t march in back, be right out front!

Because that will be the battle for our democracy. That will be the battle for the kind of government that we have. That will be an economic battle of epic proportions. Immigration, self-sufficiency, and the people united. Thank you. [appplause]”

  190. m2 says:

This is sad. She just knows that most African Americans oppose immigration, and is working on behalf of Soros. Second, this is racist, inflammatory, inciteful and ignorant.

I’m so happy Obama is the mirror image of Bertha Lewis of ACORN. ACORN and Obama “he scratches our back we’ll scratch his”…

    Anything for Liberal-Fascism.

Soros is so happy that his “culmination of life’s work” is almost complete. To be one man that takes down the world.
