Massachusetts must be a RAAACIST State; Gov Patrick approval rating? 22%

That’s right. Governor Deval Patrick’s approval rating poll was just released by the Democrat leaning polling company, Public Policy Polling (PPP).

Barack Obama’s BBFL, Massachusetts Democrat Governor Deval Patrick, is the most disapproved governor in the United States at a 22% favorable rating.

Obama and Patrick: Two lying pandering peas in a socialist pod

Inaccurate Poll you say? PPP hit the Special Massachusetts Senate Race between Scott Brown and Martha Coakley right on the button at a 5% Brown advantage over Coakley. No other polling company can make that claim.

Even in a three way race, Deval Patrick is going down in Massachusetts to be replaced either by a Republican or an Independent.

Gee!!! Perhaps Obama will come stump for Deval Patrick in the 2010 Governor race!

Obama’s stumping ‘Kiss of Death’ worked well for Martha Coakley and it can work for Deval Patrick! 😉

Hey Obama? Perhaps you can boast what a good green governor Deval Patrick has been, what with his giving away taxpayer’s money to a solar panel company which is loosing money hand over fist and is shipping green jobs to China! lol

Lets take a look at what Red Mass Group has been reporting…

Deval spends tax payer money, jobs leave the state

( – promoted by Rob “EaBo Clipper” Eno)

The non stop barrage of bad news for Deval simply wont give up. A recent Boston Globe article detailed how the struggling solar company Evergreen Solar recently gave its CEO a enormous bonus despite the company’s severe financial troubles. The company clarified that the payout was not in return for the CEOs realization of financial goals…well that should be obvious. But what was the bonus for? According to Evergreen, the bonus was handed out for the successful implementation of operational goals, including outsourcing jobs to China.

Good post VF! Yeah, just because they are green, don’t give them a pass. wtf! that guy makes too much money for heading a company that is in financial trouble.

This does illustrate a serious problem in this country. I think that blaming the governor is a bit unfair. We have a serious problem that we need to address. How do we compete with the likes of China? How can we keep people from purchasing Chinese goods that are so much cheaper than home-made products? Should companies just be able to export our jobs with no consequence? If a company recieves taxpayer money to develop their business, I find it a slap in the face that they are now going to outsource jobs.
    But what is the solution?

It’s easy to place blame and harder to come up with a solution.

As far as Patrick goes? if his popularity is in the gutter, then he will be a memory soon. Time for change.

Charlie Baker actually looks pretty good but we all know that a candidate can say all the right things but the real test is when he gets in office.

He wants to develop more renewables in Mass. What would he do different? Lower taxes? okay, but what gets cut when there is less revenue?
    health care?

Interesting that Baker used to be CEO of Harvard Pilgrim, a NONPROFIT health care insurer.

I think from my brief visit to his website, Charlie looks good. What do you think about him, VF?

M2 says- we kind of have to now, because China and Japan own us. And we might even default
on our debt…. Especially if Obamas biggest
ever U.S. entitlement is rammed through this week.

I’ll never forget when he sent Hillary C. To beg for

    Communist Goals (1963)

    Documention below

    Congressional Record–Appendix, pp. A34-A35

    January 10, 1963

    Current Communist Goals

EXTENSION OF REMARKS OF HON. A. S. HERLONG, JR. OF FLORIDA

    IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

    Thursday, January 10, 1963

Mr. HERLONG. Mr. Speaker, Mrs. Patricia Nordman of De Land, Fla., is an ardent and articulate opponent of communism, and until recently published the De Land Courier, which she dedicated to the purpose of alerting the public to the dangers of communism in America.

At Mrs. Nordman’s request, I include in the RECORD, under unanimous consent, the following “Current Communist Goals,” which she identifies as an excerpt from “The Naked Communist,” by Cleon Skousen:

[From “The Naked Communist,” by Cleon Skousen]

    CURRENT COMMUNIST GOALS

    1. U.S. acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war.

    2. U.S. willingness to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war.

    3. Develop the illusion that total disarmament [by] the United States would be a demonstration of moral strength.

    4. Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.

    5. Extension of long-term loans to Russia and Soviet satellites.

    6. Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination.

    7. Grant recognition of Red China. Admission of Red China to the U.N.

    8. Set up East and West Germany as separate states in spite of Khrushchev’s promise in 1955 to settle the German question by free elections under supervision of the U.N.

    9. Prolong the conferences to ban atomic tests because the United States has agreed to suspend tests as long as negotiations are in progress.

    10. Allow all Soviet satellites individual representation in the U.N.

    11. Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one-world government with its own independent armed forces. (Some Communist leaders believe the world can be taken over as easily by the U.N. as by Moscow. Sometimes these two centers compete with each other as they are now doing in the Congo.)

    12. Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party.

    13. Do away with all loyalty oaths.

    14. Continue giving Russia access to the U.S. Patent Office.

    15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.

    16. Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.

    17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers’ associations. Put the party line in textbooks.

    18. Gain control of all student newspapers.

    19. Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack.

    20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policymaking positions.

    21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.

    22. Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to “eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms.”

    23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. “Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art.”

    24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them “censorship” and a violation of free speech and free press.

    25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.

    26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as “normal, natural, healthy.”

    27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with “social” religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a “religious crutch.”

    28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of “separation of church and state.”

    29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.

    30. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the “common man.”

    31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the “big picture.” Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.

    32. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture–education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.

    33. Eliminate all laws or procedures which interfere with the operation of the Communist apparatus.

    34. Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities.

    35. Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI.

    36. Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.

    37. Infiltrate and gain control of big business.

    38. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand [or treat].

    39. Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.

    40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.

    41. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.

    42. Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use [“]united force[“] to solve economic, political or social problems.

    43. Overthrow all colonial governments before native populations are ready for self-government.

    44. Internationalize the Panama Canal.

    45. Repeal the Connally reservation so the United States cannot prevent the World Court from seizing jurisdiction [over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction] over nations and individuals alike.

Senators and Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States.?

This is fair, to the point and non-partisan. Who could be against it?
    Congress, that’s who.

  11. tellitlikeitis says:

    JUDGE KITHIL wrote:

“I have reviewed selected sections of the bill, and find it unbelievable
that our Congress, led by Speaker Nancy Pelosi, could come up with a
bill loaded with so many wrong-headed elements.”

“Both Republicans and Democrats are equally responsible for the
financial mess of both Social Security and Medicare programs.”

“I am opposed to HB 3200 for a number of reasons. To start with, it is
estimated that a federal bureaucracy of more than 150,000 new employees
will be required to administer HB3200. That is an unacceptable
expansion of a government that is already too intrusive in our lives.
If we are going to hire 150,000 new employees, let’s put them to work
protecting our borders, fighting the massive drug problem and putting
    more law enforcement/firefighters out there.”

JUDGE KITHIL continued: “Other problems I have with this bill include:

** Page 50/section 152: The bill will provide insurance to all non-U.S.
residents, even if they are here illegally.

** Page 58 and 59: The government will have real-time access to an
individual’s bank account and will have the authority to make electronic
    fund transfers from those accounts.

** Page 65/section 164: The plan will be subsidized (by the government)
for all union members, union retirees and for community organizations
(such as the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now – ACORN).

** Page 203/line 14-15: The tax imposed under this section will not be
treated as a tax. (How could anybody in their right mind come up with
    that?)

** Page 241 and 253: Doctors will all be paid the same regardless of
specialty, and the government will set all doctors’ fees.

** Page 272. section 1145: Cancer hospital will ration care according to
    the patient’s age.

** Page 317 and 321: The government will impose a prohibition on
hospital expansion; however, communities may petition for an exception.

** Page 425, line 4-12: The government mandates advance-care planning
consultations. Those on Social Security will be required to attend an
“end-of-life planning” seminar every five years. (Death counceling.)

** Page 429, line 13-25: The government will specify which doctors can
    write an end-of-life order.

HAD ENOUGH???? Judge Kithil then goes on:

“Finally, it is specifically stated that this bill will not apply to
members of Congress. Members of Congress are already exempt from the
Social Security system, and have a well-funded private plan that covers
their retirement needs. If they were on our Social Security plan, I
believe they would find a very quick ‘fix’ to make the plan financially
    sound for their future.”

Islamic group protests Obama’s visit to Indonesia AP – Sunday, March 14Send IM Story Print
JAKARTA, Indonesia – Thousands of followers of a conservative Islamic group held peaceful demonstrations Sunday in several Indonesian cities against the planned visit of President Barack Obama.

Witnesses and police said members of the Islamic group Hizb ut-Tahrir protested in East Java’s provincial capital of Surabaya, South Sulawesi’s capital of Makassar and three other cities. The group, an international network which believes Muslims should unite in a single global state governed by Islamic law, urged the Indonesian government to reject the American leader’s trip, scheduled for late March.

“We know Obama spent his childhood in Indonesia, but as president his policy contradicts the people’s interests in Indonesia,” protest organizer Nasrudin said in Makassar.

Hundreds of police monitored the protests, which drew around 2,000 people outside the U.S. Consulate in Surabaya and another 2,000 in the streets of Makassar. No violence was reported. Dozens of demonstrators also rallied in the Java city of Yogyakarta, the West Kalimantan town of Pontianak and the eastern town of Mataram.

Men and women wearing black veils held up yellow banners reading “Reject the visit of Obama” as they marched in the streets of the two larger cities.

“He doesn’t work for a peaceful world … on the contrary, Obama is the same as George Bush, who has destroyed the Muslim world in Iraq and Afghanistan. Therefore we have to reject the visit of Obama to Indonesia,” said Nasrudin, who, like many Indonesians, uses only one name.

Indonesia is the world’s most populous Muslim nation. Most of its nearly 200 million Muslims practice a moderate form of the faith.

The country’s largest Muslim organization, Nahdlatul Ulama, and its second largest, Muhamadyah, have both welcomed Obama’s visit.

Is China’s Politburo spoiling for a showdown with America?
The long-simmering clash between the world’s two great powers is coming to a head, with dangerous implications for the international system.

    By Ambrose Evans-Pritchard
    Published: 5:33PM GMT 14 Mar 2010

US President Barack Obama shakes hands with Chinese ambassador to America Zhou Wenzhong on the Great Wall of China Photo: Reuters
China has succumbed to hubris. It has mistaken the soft diplomacy of Barack Obama for weakness, mistaken the US credit crisis for decline, and mistaken its own mercantilist bubble for ascendancy. There are echoes of Anglo-German spats before the First World War, when Wilhelmine Berlin so badly misjudged the strategic balance of power and over-played its hand.

Within a month the US Treasury must rule whether China is a “currency manipulator”, triggering sanctions under US law. This has been finessed before, but we are in a new world now with America’s U6 unemployment at 16.8pc.

“It’s going to be really hard for them yet again to fudge on the obvious fact that China is manipulating. Without a credible threat, we’re not going to get anywhere,” said Paul Krugman, this year’s Nobel economist.

China’s premier Wen Jiabao is defiant.

“I don’t think the yuan is undervalued. We oppose countries pointing fingers at each other and even forcing a country to appreciate its currency,” he said yesterday. Once again he demanded that the US takes “concrete steps to reassure investors” over the safety of US assets.

“Some say China has got more arrogant and tough. Some put forward the theory of China’s so-called ‘triumphalism’. My conscience is untainted despite slanders from outside,” he said

Days earlier the State Council accused America of serial villainy. “In the US, civil and political rights of citizens are severely restricted and violated by the government. Workers’ rights are seriously violated,” it said.

“The US, with its strong military power, has pursued hegemony in the world, trampling upon the sovereignty of other countries and trespassing their human rights,” it said.

“At a time when the world is suffering a serious human rights disaster caused by the US subprime crisis-induced global financial crisis, the US government revels in accusing other countries.” And so forth.

    Is the Politiburo smoking weed?

I let others discuss the rights and wrongs of this, itself a response to the US report card on China. Clearly, Beijing is in denial about is own part in the global imbalances behind the credit crisis, specifically by running structural trade surpluses, and driving down long rates through dollar and euro bond purchases. No doubt the West has made a hash of things, but the Chinese view of events is twisted to the point of delusional.

What interests me is Beijing’s willingness to up the ante. It has vowed sanctions against any US firm that takes part in a $6.4bn weapons contract for Taiwan, a threat to ban Boeing from China and a new level of escalation in the Taiwan dispute.

In Copenhagen, Wen Jiabao sent an underling to negotiate with Mr Obama in what was intended to be – and taken to be – a humiliation. The US President put his foot down, saying: “I don’t want to mess around with this anymore.” That sums up White House feelings towards China today.

We have talked ourselves into believing that China is already a hyper-power. It may become one: it is not one yet. China is ringed by states – Japan, Korea, Vietnam, India – that are American allies when push comes to shove. It faces a prickly Russia on its 4,000km border, where Chinese migrants are itching for Lebensraum across the Amur. Emerging Asia, Brazil, Egypt and Europe are all irked by China’s yuan-rigged export dumping.

Michael Pettis from Beijing University argues that China’s reserves of $2.4 trillion – arguably $3 trillion – are a sign of weakness, not strength. Only twice before in modern history has a country amassed such a stash equal to 5pc-6pc of global GDP: the US in the 1920s, and Japan in the 1980s. Each time preceeded depression.

The reserves cannot be used internally to support China’s economy. They are dead weight, beyond any level needed for macro-credibility. Indeed, they are the ultimate indictment of China’s dysfunctional strategy, which is to buy $30bn to $40bn of foreign bonds every month to hold down the yuan, refusing to let the economy adjust to trade realities. The result is over-investment in plant, flooding the world with goods at wafer-thin export margins. China’s over-capacity in steel is now greater than Europe’s output.

This is catching up with China, in any case. Professor Victor Shuh from Northerwestern University warns that the 8,000 financing vehicles used by China’s local governments to stretch credit limits have built up debts and commitments of $3.5 trillion, mostly linked to infrastructure. He says the banks may require a bail-out nearing half a trillion dollars.

As America’s creditor – owner of some $1.4 trillion of US Treasuries, agency bonds, and US instruments – China can exert leverage. But this is not what it seems. If the Politburo deploys its illusiory power, Washington can pull the plug on China’s export economy instantly by shutting markets. Who holds whom to ransom?

Any attempt to retaliate by triggering a US bond crisis would rebound against China, and could be stopped – in extremis – by capital controls. Roosevelt changed the rules in 1933. Such things happen. The China-US relationship is no doubt symbiotic, but a clash would not be “mutual assured destruction”, as often claimed. Washington would win.

Contrary to myth, the slide to protectionism after the 1930 Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act did not cause the Depression. Trade contracted more slowly in the 1930s than this time. The Smoot-Hawley lesson is that tariffs have asymmetrical effects. They devastate surplus countries: then America. Deficit Britain did well by retreating into Imperial Preference.

Barack Obama has never exalted free trade. This orthodoxy is, in any case, under threat in the West. His top economic adviser Larry Summers let drop in Davos that free-trade arguments no longer hold when dealing with “mercantilist” powers. Adam Smith recognized this too, despite efforts by free-trade ultras to appropriate him for their cause.

China’s trasformation has been remarkable since Deng Xiaoping unleashed capitalism, but as ex-diplomat George Walden writes in China: a Wolf in the World? you cannot feel at ease with a regime that still covers up Mao’s murderous nihilism. He reminds us too that China has never forgiven the humilations inflicted by the West when the two civilizations collided in the 19th Century, and intends to exact revenge. Handle with care.

The capitalist countries, stupid and decadent, will rejoice to cooperate in their own destruction. They will jump at another chance to be friends. A message to all members of Patriotic Resistance

    Grassfire Nation News Alert
    ObamaCare final votes this week

    3/15/2010

    Dear Patriots,

Today, the House starts the final push to pass ObamaCare
by launching the “reconciliation” bill with House Budget
    Committee “Mark Up”.

This is just a bogus “shell” bill that will be replaced
later in the week (the latest procedural trick employed
to ram this bill forward). It is clear that Democrats will
stop at nothing to get this bill passed before the Easter
    recess.

Nonetheless, the New York Times is reporting that
the House could vote on the Senate bill as soon as
Thursday. Both the original Senate bill and the
reconciliation” bill could both be passed and
signed into law before the end of the weekend.

Of course, Obama and Pelosi are trying to create an air of
inevitability, but there are many conflicting reports as
to whether they have the votes to pass ObamaCare even
    using the reconciliation trickery.

EVERY DAY THIS WEEK IS CRUCIAL — especially with groups
like MoveOn.org ramping up the pressure on members of
    the House and Senate.

    + + Three key actions

It is vitally important that every Representative
and every Senator hear from their constituents right now.
Here are three ways you can expand your voice…

#1 — Send faxes right now

If you want to use this service to get a
message to your members of Congress and other
key Congressmen, go here to schedule faxes:

    http://www.grassfire.com/3122/offer.asp?ref_id=500062

(As always, we provide all the information for you to send
your own faxes if you prefer. Just click the above link.)

#2 — Call your Senators and Representative

Your two Senators and your Representative WILL VOTE this
week on ObamaCare. Your Rep will vote at least twice —
Senators will vote only on the “reconciliation” bill.

Call if you want them to hear your position on this issue:

    http://www.congressmerge.com/onlinedb/index.htm

Call the Congressional Switchboard (202) 224-3121

    #3 — Alert your friends

We will be delivering petitions to Congress this week
opposing both ObamaCare and the use of budget “reconciliation”
    to ram this bill through.

Please forward this link to your friends and invite them
to have their petitions delivered as well:
    http://www.grassfire.com/122/petition.asp?ref_id=500064

    Finally…

Be sure to go to ResistNet to network with other grassroots
conservatives and take part in protests and rallies that are
    developing right now:

  68. Foxwood says:

Constitutional attorney Mark R. Levin asks, “They’re going to present a rule, issued by her [Slaughter] committee as chairman, that says that the House already adopted the Senate bill when we know it didn’t?”

U.S Constitution, Article I, Section VII, Clause II.

Every Bill which shall have passed the House of Representatives and the Senate, shall, before it become a Law, be presented to the President of the United States; If he approve he shall sign it, but if not he shall return it, with his Objections to that House in which it shall have originated, who shall enter the Objections at large on their Journal, and proceed to reconsider it. If after such Reconsideration two thirds of that House shall agree to pass the Bill, it shall be sent, together with the Objections, to the other House, by which it shall likewise be reconsidered, and if approved by two thirds of that House, it shall become a Law. But in all such Cases the Votes of both Houses shall be determined by Yeas and Nays, and the Names of the Persons voting for and against the Bill shall be entered on the Journal of each House respectively…

According to Levin, James Madison himself gave special care and attention to this clause in the Constitution.

Levin: And do you want to know why? Because this clause goes to the heart of this Republic.

This clause goes to the heart of how our representative body, that is Congress, makes laws. And so I want you to [observe] how particular the Framers were… They have to pass a Bill to present it to the President…

This is one of the most exacting clauses in the Constitution.

And, to the best of my knowledge, which extends over three decades, no Congress has previously tried to institute policies without actual statutes.

Here we have the President of the United States and Congressional leaders actually talking about the possibility of a brazen and open violation of one of the most fundamental aspects of our Constitution and Republic! How we actually make laws!

Let me be as clear as I know how. If this is done, this will create the greatest Constitutional crisis since the Civil War. It would be 100 times worse than Watergate.

…It would be government by fiat… meaning there would be no law… the mere discussion by officials in this government is such a grotesque violation of the actual legislative function of Congress [that it] puts us… at the brink. At the brink.

This is why we conservatives revere the Constitution. This is why we stress the Constitution’s words have meaning and historical context and must be complied with. Because otherwise we have anarchy, which leads to tyranny.

This is a crucial lesson for those of you who… aren’t sure what your beliefs are, or if you have any beliefs. Or aren’t sure if you even care. We have an effort underway by the one of the most powerful chairmen in Congress, the woman who heads the Rules Committee, …openly discussing gutting Congress. Gutting Congress.

    ***

And it indeed appears to be unprecedented. Mark Tapscott at the Examiner:

Members of the U.S. House of Representatives have never before been asked to pass legislation by “deeming” it approved under a House rule instead of following the process required by the U.S. Constitution in which they actually vote on the proposal itself, according to a senior aide to House Republicans.

The procedure – dubbed by critics as the “Slaughter Solution” – is the brain-child of House Rules Committee Chairman Rep. Louise Slaughter, D-NY, who, at the request of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-CA, is trying to fashion a rule that would allow the House to move toward passage of a health care reform bill without a recorded vote on the Senate version.

Like the Senate, which adopted its health care reform measure on Christmas Eve, the House passed its version last year. But there are major differences between the two measures, especially concerning federal funding of abortions. The Senate version includes billions of dollars to fund new health care clinics that would offer abortion services. The House bill was passed only after Rep. Bart Stupak’s amendment barring federal funding for the procedure was included.

Slaughter’s approach would bring to the House floor a reconcilliation bill to resolve differences between the House and Senate versions of health care reform with the rule deeming the House to have approved the Senate version. The GOP aide, who requested anonymity, said a search of the House archives failed to reveal any previous use of the Slaughter Solution.

The Cloward–Piven strategy is a political strategy outlined by Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven, then both sociologists and political activists at the Columbia University School of Social Work, in a 1966 article in The Nation entitled “The Weight of the Poor: A Strategy to End Poverty.” The two argued that many Americans who were eligible for welfare were not receiving benefits, and that a welfare enrollment drive would create a political crisis that would force U.S. politicians, particularly the Democratic Party, to enact legislation “establishing a guaranteed national income.”[1]

things are really brewing in the Middle East.

according to Congress Watch, a conservative estimate of the aid we gave Israel in 2008 is almost 5 billion. Does anyone know what we give them now?

They need to learn not to bite the tit that feeds them. Unfortunately, China can say the same for us. sigh

  91. rosehips says:

    this is from wiki:

President Obama’s Fiscal Year 2010 budget proposes $53.8 billion for appropriated international affairs’ programs. From that budget proposes $5.7 billion for foreign military financing, military education, and peacekeeping operations. From $5.7 billion, $2.8 billion, almost 50% is appropriated for Israel.[30] Israel also has available roughly $3 billion of conditional loan guarantees, with additional funds coming available if Israel meets conditions negotiated at the U.S.-Israel Joint Economic Development Group (JEDG).

  92. rosehips says:

well, I sure hope those additional funds will not be forthcoming.

Israel is like the spoiled biological child amongst a bunch of foster kids in a family. They always get the best of everything and think that they are unaccountable for their misconduct. Mommy and Daddy need to put her in her place. She should be setting an example for all her foster brothers and sisters.

  93. rosehips says:

I wonder what Israel would do if Obama pulled all foreign aid?

I wonder what the US would do if China called in all our debts to them?

  94. rosehips says:

Interesting spin on Somali piracy. Turns out many of the pirates are fishermen who are enraged that their waters have been contaminated with radioactive waste. Man, if that happened to me, I might become a priate too! Arghhhh….

In recent times, the world has witnessed a growing phenomenon in the Horn of Africa: Piracy. Something that was considered a relic of the past has returned in strength, mobilizing governments, navies, and security companies determined to fight without reserve. As a result, Somalia has become the demonized “producer of pirates.” But we know very little about the reasons why this phenomenon has arisen in a country where the pirates are miserably dressed men in arms, with poor handling outboard engine ships equipped with a simple GPS.

    Censored News
It is very striking that Project Censored, an academic program at the University of Sonoma in San Francisco, which produces an annual listing of the most censored news, has in third place this year, a story that shows the flip side of Somali pirates.

This report, reveals that many pirates are actually bankrupt, outraged local fishermen who have rebelled against the continued abuse of their fishing grounds by large foreign vessels illegally fishing and infecting their waters and coasts with radioactive and toxic discharges, in front of a passive Mogadishu government.

I do have an undeveloped opinion about peeps who are on gov’t assistance who win lotto. I think they should pay back the money the gov’t has given them. Afterall, it was our two bucks that bought that lotto ticket right?

of course this will discourage lottery purchases but should peeps on welfare be buying them anyway?

gambling is a terrible addiction. I have seen it. I had a co-worker/friend who scratched at work. I noted her behavior when she was ducking behind her monitor while she scratched. I thought it a little chilling. She stopped scratching at her desk. I noticed scratched lotto tickets in the bathroom after that.

I had discussion with her about it. She used to work at a convenience store. Her boss let them scratch before paying. They had to pay back if they didn’t win. She claimed she came out on top. I’ve heard that before.

and I would like to comment on your rennovation. If you have the work done, will it be by a contractor? DYI?

I think many of us have hired or worked under the table at some point in our lives. I have. This is illegal. But is it wrong?

If you don’t think your gov’t is using our taxes wisely, is it wrong to withhold taxes? I used to have a friend who was a tax resister. He withheld a certain amount that would be his share of war taxes. He included a note explaining why. I don’t know if he was ever called out for that. I know that some peeps did it for years.

My son just recently helped a friend put up a fence. I know he should pay taxes on that money. Should I advise him to file taxes and claim his earnings? He won’t have made enough to pay anything but he will be in the system and the feds may go after him someday to pay for all the health insurance he will not buy when the gov’t mandates it. This could be a problem for him someday.

I wrote to Senator Patty Murray this morning to tell her I am opposed to the health reform proposal and one reason is because of the mandate. I hope it does not pass.

  110. rosehips says:

foxy, that is a very powerful video. I have said it before, I admire Michelle Bachman. I don’t know her platform so I wouldn’t say I’d vote for her, but if I were a republican, I might just get on her bandwagon in 2012. She should run. She would give ANY dem a run for their money, imo.

the only issue I have with that speech is her reference to “panty-waisted wussies”. What is that supposed to mean? what is panty-waisted and why is she picking on those who are, or like it? haha

also the chants in the audience about “ship them to cuba” and for some reason the filmmaker felt it was important to add that caption although it was loud and clear. I think that message detracts from the important issues here. Vote the tyrants out! Michelle should call on her supporters to stop the calls to send liberals to communist countries. It detracts. The “love it or leave it” sentiment is sort of anti-American, imo. Don’t we all have freedom of speech? We technically still live in a democracy, although I know some consider it a farce. Do they feel so powerless to fight the threat that they don’t feel they can do it democratically?

  118. Foxwood says:

“the only issue I have with that speech is her reference to “panty-waisted wussies”.”

Should be called “boxer challenged”! 🙂

“The “love it or leave it” sentiment is sort of anti-American, imo. ”

On the other hand, is also protected speech, tho. It’s the feeling that our country has been subverted.

  119. rosehips says:

yes, foxy. I realized they have a right to say it and I support that right with my whole heart, but I think it detracts from whatever message is trying to be conveyed. In this case, I think Michelle would not approve and should say so. If someone says it and is cheered by a politician, I would actually be pleased. It would tell me a lot about the politician and save me the time of listening to anything else they say. Unless I want to tear up their arguments of course. Then I might listen further.

  120. Foxwood says:

I was waiting for you to ask if I wore boxers or briefs!

  121. rosehips says:

fox, I have you pegged for a boxer kind of guy. I dunno why. heheehee

  122. rosehips says:

    or maybe boxer briefs?

  123. Foxwood says:

HA! I knew I had you fooled! THONG!

  124. rosehips says:

thong lol. I forgot you were a southern guy. haha

  125. Foxwood says:

    🙂 🙂 🙂

  126. rosehips says:

I should run and get some stuff done. I actually do work sometimes. But I have the luxury of working at home and for myself so I can check in and out at my leisure. life is so hard. I wish the commies would come rescue me. 😉

  127. Foxwood says:

Naw, you got it right. I don’t know how anyone could have something riding up their cr@ck.

  128. Foxwood says:

Ok, Rose. I have to admit to enjoying myself with you.

  129. Foxwood says:

    I’ll keep checking in. bye!

  135. rosehips says:

Well I just called the White House. I know it probably isn’t going to make much diff but I did it for the parents of Rachel Corrie and for the memory of Rachel Corrie, a 23 year old activist from my home state of Washington. 7 years ago she stood courageously in front of a bulldozer on the Gaza Strip as Israelis were bulldozing down Palestian houses. Was she dumb? perhaps. Who whouda thought they’d crush her?

Her mom emailed me and asked that I call the President and ask him to send George Mitchell to Gaza and offer humanitarian aid to the starving people of the Gaza strip and help them rebuild and of course keep the Israelis from developing there!

I hope the President knows that there are people who feel that the Palestinians deserve Gaza. Israel should stay in Israel. They deserve a homeland too.

  136. rosehips says:

I need to clean out my kitty boxes. I’d like to hire someone to do it. It won’t take much time and I will pay $25/hr.

that will be the best use of $6.25 I can think of. I would forgo a six pack if I could get someone to clean the litter.

  137. rosehips says:

I went to my eye doctor’s office yesterday. The frames my insurance bought for me almost two years ago broke in my hands. I didn’t realize there was only 35 days left on the warrantee. I didn’t realize my doctor’s staff had to fight tooth and nail to get them replaced. The small company that made them got gobbled up and the new comp didn’t want to honor the warantee, since it was almost expired. They didn’t have the exact match of my frames. The frames were expensive. almost $300. I wouldn’t have ordered them if my company’s deductible hadn’t covered the whole cost. Anyway, they replaced them, but one side was wiggly and my hair gets caught in them and then yesterday I got pinched! hard. Well, the gal explained what she had been through and apologized and fixed the wiggle but told me I should be careful because they might pinch me again! holy crap. I hope not. It seriously almost drew blood and I still have a red mark on my finger.
I guess I could have demanded new frames but I don’t want them to cut into their profits. I do like that I can bring my glasses in there any time and they fix them. They even do it if you are not a patient of theirs. That’s pretty cool.

  138. rosehips says:

there was only one other gal in the waiting room when my glasses were getting fixed. She used to work at the corner convenience store where I sometimes buy beer and occasionally gas up. She said she quit there and was working for herself, cleaning houses. I told her I’d like someone to clean my litter box, but she didn’t offer. Not a self promoter.
I told her about the movie I saw just yesterday, Sunshine Cleaning. It’s a bout dysfunctional sisters who start a cleaning business for crime scenes and suicides. They call it dark humor. I see why.

I am just sharing some non-political musings although in a way it all comes back to the economy. Some peeps are spending their retirements starting businesses. They better know what they are doing. Most businesses fail. It’s a fact.

  139. Foxwood says:

    Is this true?

Wow! So there is no freedom of speech! The guy that fainted at Obuttholes speech yesterday, didn’t faint! He told Obutthole where to go. Obutthole adlibed “call for a medic” as the guy was hauled out by police.

A woman in the background yelled “How dare you!”

I can only find one version of this vid. Other versions are said to have captured more.

If true, they should be coming out somewhere.

  140. Foxwood says:

Heard it might be what actually happened. The only place I find it on the web is here.
