breaking: John Edwards may face prison time

This breaking story is timely with respect to the Socialist corruption stories on the front pages today.

Your eyes are not deceiving you… this story is an exclusive breaking story today by the National Enquirer.

The ultimate fall from grace, a Federal grand jury is about to indict John Edwards, The ENQUIRER has learned exclusively.

In another shocker, close sources say Edwards’ estranged wife Elizabeth could help send the former presidential candidate to jail!

Edwards, the disgraced two-time Presidential loser, is being investigated by the feds, including the FBI and IRS, for possible campaign violations related to paying his mistress Rielle Hunter.

The grand jury has been meeting since April 2009, and insiders say an indictment is imminent.

Click here to read the rest of the abbreviated internet version of the story… for the rest of it you will need to hit the grocery story check-out magazine rack and buy your own copy of the National Enquirer.

If the National Enquirer does not end up getting a Pulitzer Prize for breaking this story from the beginning, then Pulitzer Prize is no more meaningful than Obama’s Nobel Peace Prize.

  1. Foxwood says:

The National Enquirer with breaking news again! Eat that CNN! The National Enquirer was the paper that originally broke the news of this.

  2. Foxwood says:

    I’ll try this again…

In the beginning there were no Conservative and no Socialism. The founding fathers were Liberal. Not like the Liberal today. They were conservative Liberals. It wasn’t until after Marx that Socialism, Communism and Progressivism started. In the 1900s, they infiltrated the Liberal Democrap party.

Rosey, I frequented a blog in the UK for a time before I found VFs. They were Liberal. When I would talk bad about Liberals they had to explain to me the we in the U.S. F-ed up the word Liberal. They have my values but they are called Liberals. Yes they have the Torres, and they are conservative also, the Liberals would be compaired to our Libertarians.

My point being. U.S. Liberalism is a POS. Regressive Progressivism is a POS.

  3. samiam60 says:

I am not seeing this being reported on Fox News as yet.

  4. rosehips says:

The National Enquirer is a very reputable publication, if you are of the mind that odious screed is worthy of repute. heehee

VF, did you know that a $50 entry fee is required to be considered for a pulitzer? They also now allow for online news to be eligible.

We could all pool our money and enter one of your posts. Which one do you think we should submit?

I say this in jest with only the best intentions: to humor you. I do not intend to mock or insult as that would be wrong and not keeping with my new affirming nature. I just know you’ll understand that I mean you nothing but smiles… 😉

and besides, I am your nummer one fan!

  6. rosehips says:

This also from the Enquirer. Interesting stuff!

    EDWARDS MISTRESS SECRETS

While John Edwards’ political and moral transgressions are now a matter of confessional public record, here’s some facts you may not know about his mistress Rielle Hunter, the mother of their daughter, Frances Quinn.

Rielle’s not her real name: it’s an invention of the woman born Lisa Jo Druck. Other AKAs previously were Lisa Hunter, Lisa Jo Hunter, and Rielle Jaya James Druck before settling on her most famous incarnation.

Druck’s also been married – having wed NY attorney Alexander “Kip” Hunter III in 1991. He backed a play for her in 1995 that she wrote entitled Savage In Limbo.

They divorced a decade later when Rielle entered the “movie business”, appearing onscreen with Goldie Hawn as a dancing bikini babe extra in Overboard and as “the woman with a microphone” stuck in Denzel Washington’s face in Ricochet . SEE RICOCHET HERE SEE OVERBOARD HERE

A member of high society, her own father, James Druck, was part of a horse murder racket. He concocted a scheme to get insurance money to kill his then 17 year old daughter’s prize filly Henry the Hawk by electrocution. Druck died before federal prosecutions were able to indict him. Reportedly, Rielle never forgave him. (it’s on Wikipedia – look it up!)

Edwards hooked up with 80s literary hot shot writer Jay McInerny (Bright Lights, Big City) who used her as the basis of his character Alison Poole, a “cocaine-addled” and “sexually voracious” character in his novel The Story of My Life. The same character also appeared in Bret Easton Ellis’ seminal depiction of Wall Street madness American Psycho.

Rielle also appeared as a game show contestant on the quiz show Limbo. She won $500 on the crossword puzzle gamer.

  7. Foxwood says:

I find it funny, Rosey, that the National Enquirer is more of a news organization that CNN.

  8. rosehips says:

Funny, I tried to find a clip from the play she wrote. I could not find any corroboration that she wrote that play. There is a play by that name written by Patrick Shanley. Hmmm.. I wonder if the Enquirer got their facts wrong? naw, couldn’t happen to such a fine pub, could it? hehe

“Druck’s also been married – having wed NY attorney Alexander “Kip” Hunter III in 1991. He backed a play for her in 1995 that she wrote entitled Savage In Limbo.”

  9. rosehips says:

I find that funny too foxy!

  10. rosehips says:

did I ever tell you how I was almost a game show contestant?

this is funny. Jim Carrey plays Ronald Reagan. Imagine that!

  19. ohiobelle says:

Sorry guys but I’ve been avoiding the blogs lately. I’ve been afraid of what I would say about Jim Bunning and the GOP in general.

  20. Foxwood says:

    MR. PRESIDENT! YOU LIE!

  21. ohiobelle says:

    Hello Fox!

We should all fear Obama right now. He stopped caring what we thought about him or his agenda.

  22. ohiobelle says:

I am so pissed off at Jim Bunning. Maybe he forgot that he and all Senate Republicans voted AGAINST Pay-go!!

  23. samhenry says:

    Hi FOX, Rose, Belle

Yes, FOX, I got to see the Wizard. I always have entree in the palace.

  31. ohiobelle says:

UGH!!! JIM BUNNING IS ON NEIL!!!! UGH!!!! GET HIM NEIL!!

  32. ohiobelle says:

Bunning has got some NERVE!!!! UGH!!!!

  33. ohiobelle says:

I hope Romney does not back Bunning! Romney is one of the few people that I like but that could all change if he backs Bunning.

  34. ohiobelle says:

These error messages are really ticking me off. What is going on??

  35. Foxwood says:

I understand what he’s saying, Belle. The Dems put in a rule, but because they are Dems, they don’t have to abide by the rule. The rule was only meant for if a Republican tax cut came about, Republicans have to pay for it before they can bring it up.

  36. ohiobelle says:

Fox wrote: I understand what he’s saying, Belle. The Dems put in a rule, but because they are Dems, they don’t have to abide by the rule. The rule was only meant for if a Republican tax cut came about, Republicans have to pay for it before they can bring it up.

Fox, I understand what you are saying but they are now playing politics with people that are hurting because of their politics.

  37. rosehips says:

belle, what is wrong with paygo? I thought Bunning did a good thing by making his point loud and clear. So a bunch of peeps were thrown out of work or couldn’t get federal unemployment bennies. Guess what? Our country is in a mess and noone will understand until they start to feel some pain! How is that gonna happen if people keep getting their checks deposited into their accounts each week? Don’t blame Bunning. It’s not his fault we can’t balance the budget. He’s fed up and I don’t blame him.

  38. ohiobelle says:

Rose, Bunning is a JACKASS and he is hurting the very people that got him elected!! He pulled this stunt because he is not running again. You said that nobody will understand until they start to feel some pain?? Are you kidding??? UGH!!!!! I can’t even address that with you right now. I need to calm down!

  39. samiam60 says:

    Rose,

Do you personally know anyone collecting Unemployment Benefits?

  40. ohiobelle says:

    Hello Sam!

Rose, I respect your opinion but I strongly disagree. This is just one of the many reasons I’ve been avoiding the blogs. I’ve gotten so pissed at what I see happening and nobody can seem to stop it.

  41. ohiobelle says:

Right now I hate the Republicans and the Democrats. They are creating more bad than good. It needs to be stopped.

  42. samiam60 says:

    Ohio,

Good afternoon dear. I survived last year Only because of Unemployment Benefits. There were many touch and go moments while collecting and without it I could have become homeless.

Employers pay into that fund and I am sure it affects how much we are paid. Those who collect unemployment are entitled to those benefits by their employers and what ever help the State and Federal Government lends.

Funny how some can not see the need for Protecting Actual Workers and look the other way at the 3rd Generation Welfare recipients.

Explain that to me someone? Please.

  43. Foxwood says:

“It’s not his fault we can’t balance the budget. He’s fed up and I don’t blame him.”

    WE AGREE! OMG!

  44. samiam60 says:

I am all for Drug Testing everyone who is on Welfare.

Imagine what that would do to the numbers.

  45. rosehips says:

yes, sami I do know lots of people on unemployment. I am on unemployment. As long as they continue to extend benefits, these people will continue to collect, including me. Should we continue digging a deeper hole and throwing money into the pit? Are all the unemployed peeps entitled to benefits endlessly? Well, it would be nice but we simply can’t afford it. Yes there will be homeless people but if you don’t have a job, how do you expect to keep your home? Who do you blame when you are out on the street? Pick a target. There are plenty of them.
sorry belle, but I think we need to get off the gov’t teet, no matter how hard it hurts.

  46. samiam60 says:

    Rose,

Being that you feel that way why not save us all some tax dollars and forfeit your Unemployment Benefits. Perhaps you will start a trend in doing so and end Unemployment once and for all in the United States.

  47. ohiobelle says:

    Hello Sam!

I hear you loud and clear. I’ve been searching and searching for a new job but haven’t found anything. I do not want to be on unemployment but I thank God everyday for it. I’ve worked so hard all my life and now I feel like I am being punished for things our government has done. I hate being unemployed!!! I would give anything to work again.

  48. rosehips says:

I’ve heard the “entitlement” song many times. “I paid into it, I deserve it”

I believe that unemployment insurance and ss insurance should be just that. Insurance, if and only if you need it.

oh my god, did rosehips really say that? She wants to redistribute my social security to people who need it?

Yes, that’s what I think. Let the bashing begin!

  49. ohiobelle says:

Rose wrote: Should we continue digging a deeper hole and throwing money into the pit? Are all the unemployed peeps entitled to benefits endlessly?

Rose, not endlessly but until their politics stop killing jobs.

  50. rosehips says:

sami, if I thought that would do any good, I’d consider it. But I’m not gonna deny myself a handout if everyone else is getting one. haha

  51. samiam60 says:

    Ohio,

How do you feel about the welfare program in this Country? You know how I feel and that is a far reaching program compared to Unemployment Benefits.

  52. ohiobelle says:

Rose, I have zero desire to start any bashing. Again, I respect everyones opinion but reserve my right to disagree if need be.

  53. rosehips says:

belle, I lost my job in Oct 08. The policies that cost me my job are debatable. How can we keep companies from outsourcing our jobs? Regulate? That sounds like a democratic thing to do. What about the free market system? It didn’t work for me.

  54. samiam60 says:

    Rose,

Just like CNN, you only comment on parts of someone’s opinion. How do you feel about 3rd Generation Welfare Recipients? How about 2nd Generation?

  55. rosehips says:

belle, I know you wouldn’t bash me. I respect your opinion too. I don’t expect peeps to agree with me, especially around here. I am just glad that I can speak my mind and I am prepared to defend my position. I also have an extra tent if you need it. whoops, sorry. not funny.

  56. samiam60 says:

So Rose you have just about exhausted your Unemployment Benefits. Is that correct?

  57. ohiobelle says:

Sam wrote: How do you feel about the welfare program in this Country? You know how I feel and that is a far reaching program compared to Unemployment Benefits.

Sam, Welfare in our country is a big part of our problem. I think welfare keeps people from ever working and we should do away with it.

  58. Foxwood says:

I’ve heard Bunning and other Republicans say take what’s left of the Stimulus package and use it to extend unemployment. 60% has NOT been spent. The Dems said NO.

I can understand getting unemployment because the President caused the lose of your job. This President HAS lost jobs. Prove jobs have been saved. Prove it!

  59. samiam60 says:

    Ohio,

I am all for Workfare. Collect welfare but you have to do work for it. Local towns and communities could benefit by having people doing these “Shovel Ready” jobs.

  60. rosehips says:

welfare sami? I support what we do here in Washington. We don’t let welfare recipients sit on the couch. They must make efforts to find work, or get trained. Not like unemployment. Welfare recips have to put in hours to get off the tit. I think that keeps people from abusing the system. But some people are unemployable. I still think we need a safety net.

  61. Foxwood says:

“How can we keep companies from outsourcing our jobs? Regulate? That sounds like a democratic thing to do. What about the free market system? It didn’t work for me.”

Were traveling back into Marxism again.

  62. ohiobelle says:

Rose wrote: belle, I lost my job in Oct 08. The policies that cost me my job are debatable. How can we keep companies from outsourcing our jobs?

Rose, it’s our government that is causing jobs to be outsourced. They are selling us out as payment for their f!cked up agendas.

  63. rosehips says:

sami, I think my bennies will be exhausted in July.

  64. Foxwood says:

Let’s do the Communism thing. That’s what will make Amerika work.

  65. samiam60 says:

Here is another serious question. Can those people who do exhaust their Unemployment Benefits apply for and receive Welfare?

    If not, why not?

  66. Foxwood says:

That free market thing doesn’t work. Let’s try Socialism. We were taught all wrong about it when we were kids. Maybe Communism is the answer.

  67. samiam60 says:

    Rose

Are you saying your benefits lasted 21 months?

  68. ohiobelle says:

Rose wrote: Welfare recips have to put in hours to get off the tit. I think that keeps people from abusing the system. But some people are unemployable. I still think we need a safety net.

hahahaha. Any system that is run by our government is going to be abused. Just wait until ObamaCare is in place.

  69. Foxwood says:

Rosey. I hate to be the one to remind you. It wasn’t the free market system that did this, It was SOCIALISM! Wake up.

  70. ohiobelle says:

Sam wrote: Can those people who do exhaust their Unemployment Benefits apply for and receive Welfare?

Maybe if you have 10 kids and 1 more on the way. lol

  71. rosehips says:

belle, my company outsourced because Microsoft put them in the position that they either outsourced or lost over 80% of their business. MS demanded a worldwide workforce for any company they contract with! The company is paying the price because the outsourcing cost them. They have to pay toward the retraining, insurance subsidies, and other fed bennies to their laid off workers here in the States.

  72. samiam60 says:

    Ohio

    Lol

  73. samiam60 says:

Time to watch Glenn Beck. I only get to see his show one day a week.

  74. rosehips says:

sami, people can apply for welfare but they must sell most of their assets first. I don’t think you can own a home. Your car can’t be worth more than a certain amount. You can’t have savings or investments. You basically have to be poor, not just without an income.

  75. ohiobelle says:

Rose wrote: belle, my company outsourced because Microsoft put them in the position that they either outsourced or lost over 80% of their business. “we tried that and businesses failed miserably.”

“I never said we should kill granny. Just put her out to pasture.”

  82. Foxwood says:

Was it the “Revisionists book of Communism”?

I am doing a post on Russ Feingold’s stirring oratory against reconciliation. Since Republicans are condemned for using it, why haven’t we heard of Feingold’s speech?

Going with the Senate Nuclear Option will have a lasting effect on the Democrat Party the likes of which has never been seen in American History.

Obama has already been defeated… the Nuke Option is the act of a defiant mouse flipping the bird at a Raging Elephant in the act of stomping that mouse into a mouse pancake.

Arrogant to the end… thanks Obama, you arrogant mouse. You have done more to pull Americans out of their sleep and into action than anything the GOP could have ever done.

Darwin Foes Add Warming to Targets
    By LESLIE KAUFMAN
    Published: March 3, 2010
Critics of the teaching of evolution in the nation’s classrooms are gaining ground in some states by linking the issue to global warming, arguing that dissenting views on both scientific subjects should be taught in public schools.

Bud Craft/Legislative Research Commission, via Associated Press
“Our kids are being presented theories as though they are facts,” said State Representative Tim Moore of Kentucky.

    Related
In Kentucky, a bill recently introduced in the Legislature would encourage teachers to discuss “the advantages and disadvantages of scientific theories,” including “evolution, the origins of life, global warming and human cloning.”

The bill, which has yet to be voted on, is patterned on even more aggressive efforts in other states to fuse such issues. In Louisiana, a law passed in 2008 says the state board of education may assist teachers in promoting “critical thinking” on all of those subjects.

Last year, the Texas Board of Education adopted language requiring that teachers present all sides of the evidence on evolution and global warming.

Oklahoma introduced a bill with similar goals in 2009, although it was not enacted.

The linkage of evolution and global warming is partly a legal strategy: courts have found that singling out evolution for criticism in public schools is a violation of the separation of church and state. By insisting that global warming also be debated, deniers of evolution can argue that they are simply championing academic freedom in general.

Yet they are also capitalizing on rising public resistance in some quarters to accepting the science of global warming, particularly among political conservatives who oppose efforts to rein in emissions of greenhouse gases.

In South Dakota, a resolution calling for the “balanced teaching of global warming in public schools” passed the Legislature this week.

“Carbon dioxide is not a pollutant,” the resolution said, “but rather a highly beneficial ingredient for all plant life.”

The measure made no mention of evolution, but opponents of efforts to dilute the teaching of evolution noted that the language was similar to that of bills in other states that had included both. The vote split almost entirely along partisan lines in both houses, with Republican voting for it and Democrats voting against.

For mainstream scientists, there is no credible challenge to evolutionary theory. They oppose the teaching of alternative views like intelligent design, the proposition that life is so complex that it must be the design of an intelligent being. And there is wide agreement among scientists that global warming is occurring and that human activities are probably driving it. Yet many conservative evangelical Christians assert that both are examples of scientists’ overstepping their bounds.
