Obama’s 2010 job 1: recovery pretense and shift the blame

The facts speak louder than Obama slight-of-hand speech making mumbo jumbo.

Barack travels to New Hampshire today to hawk his latest concoction… his proposal of $30 billion in loan guarantees to banks to stimulate small businesses to borrow money.

There are several things wrong here:

Americans are eyes wide open to Obama’s fatal economics. A profound day of Voter vs Socialism reckoning draws continually closer as the clock ticks towards November 2, 2010; the day Congress is shifted from a Progressive/Socialist Majority to a Conservative Majority.

No amount of Obama’s slight-of-hand speech making and appearance making will stop the resolute march of Americans to fire Congressional Progressives/Socialists.

The most damning single flaw the Progressives/Socialist own? Blind underestimation of the combined intelligence and determination of the majority of citizens of the greatest nation on earth… The Right of Center American Taxpayers.

tick-tock tick-tock tick-tock…

The sands of time
are running out
for your Progressivism/Socialism
Obama, Pelosi & Reid

Corporations. Let’s tax the shit out of them to give that money to the little people.

Opps! The corporation move out of country for cheaper tax rates.

    Opps! Americans just lost jobs.

Opps! The tax increase just got added to the product the corporation makes, making the product cost more.

Opp! The American people don’t have a job or the price of shit costs more because of the tax increase.

Economics is a bitch if you don’t know how it works.

his wife, a legal secretary, makes $55,000
    Total income: $255,000

wife quits job, income below increased tax level.

  17. rosehips says:

    economics 2010

enforce tax laws, catch scofflaws, collect fines, gain revenue.

oh wait. that scofflaw is my employer! Don’t make him pay. He can’t afford to run his business in this competitive world without an edge. Putting profits into swiss bank accounts is a creative way to keep our costs down. Now my job is in jeopardy. woe is me.

and now I find out that the small business that cleans my suits will be forced to dispose of their chemicals responsibly or be forced to pay for clean up! wtf!!!! Do you know how much more I will have to pay to clean my suits???? damn progressives anyway.

  18. rosehips says:

Corporations. Let’s tax the shit out of them to give that money to the little people.

Lost American Jobs…. Now let’s tax more businesses. That’s really smart. )

  24. rosehips says:

    Corporations I support:

environmentally responsible companies who factor in pollution controls before beginning the manufacturing process and who adapt to changing regulations imposed to protect the health of the people working in the factory and living in the community by using profits to protect the wellbeing of the people who make it possible for the company to exist.

  25. Foxwood says:

Hmmm… what happens when they get taxed out of the country?

  26. ohiobelle says:

UGH!! I’ve just been branded!! They installed the smart meter this morning. I am watching and waiting for the meter to be installed at the monsters house. lol Good luck with that.

The pamphlet informs me that we no longer need meter readers. We that certainly isn’t a job saved or created!

  27. Foxwood says:

Regulation… Progressive Communism. A way to tax for a made up reason.

  28. ohiobelle says:

Any Feb 11th predictions? Ahmadinejad is really a pain in the ass.

  29. rosehips says:

maybe that’s the problem. Americans think that $250,000 is not rich.

tell that to all the minimum wage earners struggling to pay the bills. ah yes, the american dream. if they work hard enough, they can attain anything they want.

If your personal income is $250,000 and you can’t afford the couple-three point increase in your taxes, you are living beyond reality.

  30. Foxwood says:

A regulated corporation becomes no better than the government that controls them. They make no money and become subsidized by the taxpayer.

Economics is a bitch if you don’t know how it works.

  31. Foxwood says:

Maybe it’s the poor that are jealous of those making $200,000 that are the problem… Hmmm?

  32. rosehips says:

hey belle! I see you are trying to co-opt the conversation again. lol

  33. Foxwood says:

Maybe it’s the luck of the draw and the ones that got the bad draw want government to diaper them with everyone else’s money.

  34. Foxwood says:

Don’t give me a couple of 3 points. Try 50%. Do you watch the news? I wonder if you make this stuff up.

  37. Foxwood says:

  38. rosehips says:

foxy, haha go ahead. continue to insult my intelligence and imply that I am ignorant. My fuses are only 10 amps and you haven’t even made them sputter yet.

I may not have an in depth understanding of economics but I have seen the costs to corporations when they damage our waterways, land and pollute our air. I know it impacts stockholders and consumers. It’s time for stockholders and consumers to see that it is economical to be proactive in reducing emissions and investing in clean technology.

  39. rosehips says:

foxy, no I don’t watch much news. maybe that’s why I am more informed than you. HAHAHa

couple-three point increase is what I’ve heard in the past. how many points are they saying it will go up if you make over $250,000?

  40. Foxwood says:

Can’t make the claim if you don’t know the facts…

    🙂

    I smell smoke.

    SEC Workers Investigated for Porn-Surfing

More than two dozen SEC employees and contractors over roughly the past two years have faced internal investigations after they were caught viewing pornography on their government computers.

The work computer of one regional supervisor for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission showed more than 1,800 attempts to look up pornography in a 17-day span: “It was kind of distraction per se,” he later told investigators.

But he wasn’t alone. More than two dozen SEC employees and contractors over roughly the past two years have faced internal investigations after they were caught viewing pornography on their government computers, according to records obtained by The Washington Times through the Freedom of Information Act and other public documents.

The activities of porn-surfing SEC workers, a small fraction of the overall work force, have been serious enough to warrant a mention in each of the past four semiannual reports sent to Congress by the SEC’s office of inspector general.

In response to the open records request by The Washington Times, the inspector general’s office provided more than 150 pages of records and transcripts on the investigations, but declined to identify the employees involved. The office noted that disclosure of the employees’ names “could conceivably subject them to harassment and annoyance in the conduct of their official duties and private lives.”

Allan Bachman, education manager for the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, said such problems are hardly unique to the SEC. He also said the findings are troubling aside from “the egregious nature of what they’re doing.”

“They’re simply just stealing time,” he said. “They’re getting paid to do something that they’re not supposed to be doing.”

Unfortunately, those corps will be less and less competitive in a world dominated by products and rare earth ore that are critical to our needs. Read my post on the Chinese being out ahead of us in green products (albeit produced in dark ways). It’s disgusting. Unfortunately, dictatorships don’t need to stop and get congressional approval to go into an area of the economy to prop it up and prosper.

  136. m2 says:

Morning Bell: The Obama Budget: Higher Taxes, Higher Spending and More Debt

President Barack Obama will submit a $3.8 trillion budget [1] proposal for fiscal 2011 to Congress today. One might hope that given last year’s $1.4 trillion budget deficit was an all-time high and the President promised a spending “freeze” in last week’s State of the Union, this budget might signal a change in direction from the White House. No such luck. President Obama’s new budget is full of billions of dollars in new spending [2] for failed government programs [3], higher taxes on American families and businesses [2], and deficit spending for as far as the eye can see.

At the very least, the budget document President Obama is submitting today exposes his spending “freeze” promise for the fraud that it is. As outlined [4] last week, the administration would halt spending increases for only a $447 billion sliver of our total budget, with a total of $15 billion to be saved [4]. That is less than half a percent off of last year’s spending. Worse, this isn’t even an across-the-board spending freeze; it is an aggregate one. So “spending cuts” in parts of the budget are immediately channeled to others. For example, even though the federal government does not need any money for the Census next year, President Obama counts the $5 billion spent this year as a “spending cut” that can be immediately spent on other government programs, such as a 16% increase in Department of Education funding [5], a 6.8% increase in Department of Energy funding [5], and increases for ineffective Health and Human Services programs like Head Start [3] and sex education [6].

Given the best case scenario, the most the White House hopes to save from this supposed spending “freeze” is $15 billion [7]. And that is easily dwarfed by just the $100 billion President Obama wants for his Economic Stimulus II plan [8].

    Quick Hits:

    • Defending the secret negotiations and special interest deals used to advance President Obama’s health care plan, Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) told journalists [13]: “The American people don’t care about process.”

    • According to Rasmussen Reports, [14]76% of voters generally trust the American people more than political leaders on important national issues, and 70% believe that the government and big business typically work together in ways that hurt consumers and investors.

    • Since some states have already spent the money on the belief that President Obama’s health care legislation would pass, the administration’s budget includes an additional $25 billion in Medicaid funding for states – an amount that was originally part of Obamacare [15].

    • According to Gallup [16], the percentage of Americans dependent on government-based health insurance grew last year, while the percentage with employer-based healthcare dropped.

    • The United States will deploy a missile defense [17] shield to protect American allies from a potential Iranian strike.

Last year I read about a pack of feral chihuahuas in the west that attacked people. I know it seems absurd that small dogs could harm humans.

I am disgusted by the owners of beagle packs hunting rabbit would just cast off their poor beagles. I wish I could rescue one.

I follow a pack of foot beagles here in the valley. It is a great opportunity to make friends with winter and walk. I love the beagles. We never, ever toss off a beagle. Our MBH is very careful in selecting them from the get go.

If the beagles ever caught a rabbit, they would not know what to do with it and we don’t allow kills. No one carries guns. The same for fox hunting here in the Valley. I have seen the ridiculous situation of the hounds and horses going in one direction; the fox hiding behind bushes as they race by! The fox around here are pretty clever and I have heard some huntsmen claim they thing some actually enjoy the competition.

When I used to ride here, we rode through a stream that had a group of baby fox watching us – sitting out in the sun – in front of their den that was dug out under a tree root system.

I had a riding lesson once attended by a fox that sat – I mean sat at the side of the ring and watched! He was not rabid. I also had one living on my street in the woods behind my house. Saab Sale Was Reportedly Delayed Due to Suspected Involvement of Russian Mafia

The U.S. Government participated in stopping General Motors from selling Saab to a Dutch automaker in December due to possible involvement in the deal by the Russian Mafia, a Swedish media outlet is reporting.

According to the Dagens Industri newspaper, the Swedish government asked its security force, the Sapo, to investigate the financial affairs of the Convers Group, a Russian investment group owned by the family of billionaire Alexander Antonov that was one of the major shareholders of Spyker when the Dutch automaker made the offer to buy Saab in December. That investigation reportedly turned up a “strong suspicion” of ties between the Antonovs and organized crime, information that was passed on to the FBI. The report goes on to say the the board of General Motors was then contacted by the U.S. Government and told to stop the sale.

Click here to read: Spyker Lays Out Plans for Saab’s Future

Since then, Spyker founder Victor Muller has assumed ownership of the 4.6 million shares in Spyker that were controlled by the Convers Group, through a recently created holding group called Tenaci, which is run by Muller. This move apparently opened the door to another offer to purchase Saab, which was accepted by GM last week.

Click here to follow Fox Car Report on Twitter

In the weeks leading up to the sale several media outlets reported that GM was wary of the Antonovs’ involvement over concerns that intellectual property rights could be transferred to competing automakers. When asked during a conference call following the agreement if GM was satisfied with the exclusion of the Antonov family from the deal, GM Vice President for Corporate Planning and Alliances John Smith responded, “as part of finding a sustainable solution for Saab, we are happy with the structures of the company that Victor Muller has put in place for Saab Spyker and I’ll just leave it at that.”

When contacted by Foxnews.com about the Dagens Industri report, General Motors issued the following statment:

“We are declining to comment in any way on the specifics of any negotiations, as they were covered by confidentiality agreements. Our interest was in finding a buyer that could create a viable future for Saab, and we believe we did.”

Efforts to contact officials at Spyker have been unsuccessful at the time of this writing, but when asked by Sweden’s Svenska Dagbladet newspaper to confirm the existing nature of the Antonovs’ involvement with Spyker, Muller told the publication “I do not want to go into this on principal. I am reluctant to talk about them,” adding that the allegations of the family’s criminal ties were “just rumours, there is no proof that it is true.”

Your belief that extending the same equality for all with respect to healthcare would somehow render your Country a absolute “Socialist/Marxist/Communist land is just plain ridiculous!!!!

  162. samhenry says:

Police, Military, Fire and Rescue are social services of one type or other. They are universally needed by all for the protection of the greater good. While someone without health care could spread disease because they could not afford an injection, still, I don’t think ANY society can afford universal health care. Then, too, what level would that be?

    I do think that:
Unemployed should be able to have indefinite cobra coverage
We should establish public clinics for people who have no insurance. Those would be paid for. That would free up the hospital waiting rooms. This would provide needed emergency care. Those using the clinic could pay a small fee. I really want everyone who needs health care to be able to access it at a reasonable cost.

Palin Blasts Emanuel for Calling Dem Idea ‘Retarded’

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is calling on the White House to fire Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel for using the word “retarded” in a strategy session last year.

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is calling on the White House to fire Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel for using the word “retarded” in a strategy session last year.

In a posting on her Facebook page Monday, Palin blasted Emanuel for calling an idea from some of President Obama’s supporters “f—ing retarded” during an August meeting with liberal groups and White House aides.

The Wall Street Journal reported last week that Emanuel made the remarks after some participants said they planned to air ads attacking conservative Democrats who were critical of Obama’s health care agenda.

Palin, whose youngest child, Trig, has Down Syndrome, wrote that Emanuel’s expletive was “heartbreaking” and said his “degrading scolding” has been “completely ignored by the White House.”

“Just as we’d be appalled if any public figure of Rahm’s stature ever used the “N-word” or other such inappropriate language, Rahm’s slur on all God’s children with cognitive and developmental disabilities — and the people who love them — is unacceptable, and it’s heartbreaking,” wrote Palin.

“Rahm is known for his caustic, crude references about those with whom he disagrees, but his recent tirade against participants in a strategy session was such a strong slap in many American faces that our president is doing himself a disservice by seeming to condone Rahm’s recent sick and offensive tactic,” she continued.

Emanuel reportedly apologized for the remarks in a phone call last week to Tim Shriver, CEO of the Special Olympics, which has launched a campaign to end use of the “R” word.

“Rahm called Tim Shriver Wednesday to apologize and the apology was accepted,” a White House official told Politico.com on Tuesday.

“The White House remains committed to addressing the concerns and needs of Americans living with disabilities and recognizes that derogatory remarks demean us all,” the official reportedly said.

On March 19, 2009 the president himself made headlines for a joke on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno in which Obama compared his poor performance in a bowling game to the Special Olympics.

In describing his measly score, Obama said, “It’s like — it was like Special Olympics, or something.”

A White House spokesman was forced to release a hurried statement which said: “The president made an off-hand remark making fun of his own bowling that was in no way intended to disparage the Special Olympics. He thinks the Special Olympics is a wonderful program that gives an opportunity for people with disabilities from around the world.”

At the time, Palin responded by saying: “I was shocked to learn of the comment made by President Obama about Special Olympics. This was a degrading remark about our world’s most precious and unique people, coming from the most powerful position in the world… I hope President Obama’s comments do not reflect how he truly feels about the special needs community.”

Nuclear power plants may not emit greenhouse gases, but they sure could suck in the tax dollars.

Nuclear power could cost trillions over renewables
    By Brendan Borrell
An analysis by economist Mark Cooper at the Vermont Law School claims that adding 100 new reactors to the U.S. power grid would cost taxpayers and customers between $1.9 and $4.1 trillion over the reactors’ lifetimes compared with renewable power sources and conservation measures.
The analysis factors in studies from Wall Street and independent energy analysts estimating the efficiency of renewable energy at 6 cents per kilowatt hour versus 12 to 20 cents per kilowatt hour for nuclear. Cooper says those costs will fall on either ratepayers through higher electric bills or on taxpayers through large subsidies.

And just because his name is Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab that doesn’t mean he’s a terrorist. It’s not like he was on a do not fly list.

  180. samiam60 says:

How could it be a Terrorist Attack if nothing got blowed up and nobodie gots killed. Duhhhaa

That is the Liberal response we have come to expect these days. lol

Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab is being given an American Name.

  182. ohiobelle says:

This whole do not ask, do not tell is pretty stupid if you ask me. If you are defending our country then I could careless if you are gay. I don’t think gays should have to hide their sexual preference to serve our country.

  186. samhenry says:

Hi Fox, Sami and Rose Henry

I just completed an RSVP to the president’s live discussion with the troops Thursday and submitted the following question. I could not afford to fill out their request for money.

The wealthy Brits have had their taxes raised to 50%. Many have vowed to find legal means of tax avoidance. The Treasury therefore cannot be assured it will have the funds needed to carry out programs. How do we fairly redistribute wealth so that the wealthy do not overly pay and those in need receive only what is reasonable for them to survive. In short, what do you discuss to arrive at percentages? Do you calculate in the work of volunteer organizations to alleviate suffering.

  187. ohiobelle says:

Well I just think it is a pretty crappy thing to do. We’re saying that you are good enough to fight for our country as long as you aren’t gay? That’s insane! This is one subject that me and Mr Belle do not agree on.

  188. ohiobelle says:

SamH, I think the idea is to do away with the wealthy. They would like for us all to be poor and begging for the government to save us all. I’d rather lick pond scum then to beg our government to help me. Government got me into this situation; I find my own way out.

  189. rosehips says:

I agree with you on the gay issue belle.

    Disclaimer:
and just so you all know, it was a joke. The only reason I said it wasn’t really an attack is so I could use the 9/10 gag. sorry, I guess it flopped.

i was not trying to dismiss the Christmas bombing attempt as anything less than a real attack.

  190. rosehips says:

    i gotta go. later!

  191. ohiobelle says:

Why in the hell do we need to take $30 billion from TARP?? Correct me if I am wrong but we’ve only spent 20% of porkapolis. What not take money from porky?? Is it even legal to take from TARP? I’d better ask Barney Fudd…

  192. ohiobelle says:

I meant why not.. not what not. Typing too fast.

  193. ohiobelle says:

ROSE WROTE: I agree with you on the gay issue belle.

    WHAT?? WOW!! IT HAPPENED!! LOL

We’ll pick up where we left off!

  194. ohiobelle says:

If it isn’t bad enough that intel officials say we will have a terrorist attempt or attack on U.S. soil in 3-6 months… I just read this:

From Mail Online – Security services believe the move has been prompted by the recent introduction at airports of body scanners, which are designed to catch terrorists before they board flights.

It is understood MI5 became aware of the threat after observing increasingly vocal internet ‘chatter’ on Arab websites this year.

The warning comes in the wake of the failed attempt by London-educated Nigerian Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab to blow up an airliner approaching Detroit on Christmas Day.

One security source said: ‘If the terrorists are talking about this, we need to be ready and do all we can to counter the threat.’

A leading source added that male bombers would have the explosive secreted near their appendix or in their buttocks, while females would have the material placed inside their breasts in the same way as figure-enhancing implants.

Experts said the explosive PETN (Pentaerythritol Tetranitrate) would be placed in a plastic sachet inside the bomber’s body before the wound was stitched up like a normal operation incision and allowed to heal.

  195. ohiobelle says:

Honestly, those folks don’t have a clue. They really do truly believe all the Obama lies.

The Progressives over there do not believe they are Socialists at all. They cannot even comprehend that possibility. The Kool-Aid is strong with Obama.

I imagine it was the same for Noah when he tried to tell people to get into the Ark. They just laughed and laughed till God water boarded them all.

Good night my friends. Its good to back on the side of Sanity. ps, they also called me bad names.

brb and GOOD MORNING ALL! 😉

  226. samiam60 says:

I invited a couple to come over but I don’t know if VF will let them in. They are a vulgar bunch of idiots and won’t listen to reason. We would be better off NOT to have them on here. VF maintains a civilized post here and we don’t need these Neanderthals roaming around here spewing their hatred.

  227. Foxwood says:

It’s official. Obutthole is a puppet, because he’s too stupid to be a President. The Crotch Bomber has been enticed to talk. Well, how convenient. That makes Obutthole look really good now.

Someone wasn’t thinking, but I’ve found most Progressives aren’t thinkers, but indoctrinated koolaid drinking followers, as it appears Obutthole is. Now the enemy know the jig is up and will move from their terrorist camps.

Didn’t think of that, did you Obutthole? Because you don’t think. If you know what the enemy is doing, you don’t tell them. Can you say dipsh!t!

  228. Foxwood says:

She doesn’t allow Neanderthals, but she certainly does allow Troglodytes… 🙂

  229. samiam60 says:

I had to post this to all the Progressive Socialists over at CNN this morning. These people have now evolved into the scum of the Earth:

Oh my goodness, wake up to find the scrum of the earth crawled out from under their rocks during the night and littered this post with racist, vulgar, and crude remarks. How very typical of all you Left Wing Loons. It is this kind of behavior that has sent MSNBC AND CNN to the bottom of the ratings charts. Chris Mathews and Obermam must be your poster children when it comes to being disrespectful and uncouth. Is it no wonder that the decent people in America are rising up in record numbers to take back our Country from the likes of you?

Your behavior on here is nothing more than the acts of a Depraved Mind. You folks go far beyond the Kool-Aid and have taken disrespect to a whole new level. Shame on all of you each and everyone. Having witnessed this behavior now first hand my resolve to work hard and remove the Progressive Socialist movement from our Government will take on a whole new meaning as I work to get people out to vote against this most disgraceful and disrespectful ideology.
