Below is an example of a typical Socialist tactic of personal attack on voters of whom they enjoy no support.
Progressives can’t allow voiced opposition opinion to go un-smeared… after all, voiced opposition opinion is a exclusively privileged leftist entitlement for Public Progressives and their devoted follower bees.
“learn to speak teabag”
an NPR production paid for in part
with taxpayer dollars
Progressive wholesale personalized besmirching
It’s how Progressives have been taught
to deal with opposition.
Progressives’ indulgence in Reality Revisionism and Historical Revisionism as furtive attempts to hide the truth, has never been more glaring and pitiful than in the days following an all out Socialist Massacre in the Massachusetts Special Election that installed a Conservative Republican as our Senate replacement for Ted Kennedy.
A lightening bolt, perhaps the greatest lightening bolt of modern times, struck Barack Obama and his Progressives nationwide on Wednesday January 19, 2010 as Martha Coakley conceded the election to Scott Brown who won with a 5% margin.
Charles Krauthammer’s post Massachusetts election observations hits the Progressive nail on the head on many, but not all, counts (bold emphasis mine):
What Scott Brown’s win means for the Democrats
By Charles Krauthammer
Friday, January 22, 2010After Coakley’s defeat, Obama pretended that the real cause was a generalized anger and frustration “not just because of what’s happened in the last year or two years, but what’s happened over the last eight years.”
Let’s get this straight: The antipathy to George W. Bush is so enduring and powerful that . . . it just elected a Republican senator in Massachusetts? Why, the man is omnipotent.
And the Democrats are delusional: Scott Brown won by running against Obama, not Bush. He won by brilliantly nationalizing the race, running hard against the Obama agenda, most notably Obamacare. Killing it was his No. 1 campaign promise.
Bull’s-eye. An astonishing 56 percent of Massachusetts voters, according to a Rasmussen poll, called health care their top issue. In a Fabrizio, McLaughlin & Associates poll, 78 percent of Brown voters said their vote was intended to stop Obamacare. Only a quarter of all voters in the Rasmussen poll cited the economy as their top issue, nicely refuting the Democratic view that Massachusetts was just the usual anti-incumbent resentment you expect in bad economic times.
Brown ran on a very specific, very clear agenda. Stop health care. Don’t Mirandize terrorists. Don’t raise taxes; cut them. And no more secret backroom deals with special interests.
While the intonation of Charles’ essay is that of giving a degree of benefit of the doubt as to lack deliberative progressive propaganda strategies vs actual liberal delusional confusion, I think it is quite clear that the Public Socialists knew full well why they were going to loose …before the election …during the election …and after the election.
Thus I contend, the reason for delusional appearing behavior by both Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi after the Coakley defeat is not a matter of the Socialists “not getting it,” quite the contrary.
Obama & Pelosi totally “got it,” right down to the last scrap of nuance.
The seemingly clueless reactions of Obama and Pelosi are indeed deliberate well considered (albeit desperate) Progressive fallbacks to spin-pivot Reality to deliberately mislead and misinform the American Public; a calculated redefinition of reality to regain that which they can not regain: long gone credibility and the smiley face that was so cleverly applied to the spectre of Socialism.
The Majority of American voters are correctly informed and highly motivated Anti-Socialists who’s ranks include majority numbers of Independents and Republicans and a growing minority of Democrats.
The Reality is: Socialism is a scourge on this country and that is why I and my fellow Massachusetts voters canceled their lipstick-laden Socialism like a postage stamp.
To the Progressives/Socialists, this is a war of propaganda, i.e. lies, to make palatable the Socialist medicine they are hell bent on feeding the United States.
The Progressives can not hope to win a single election if the electorate is fully aware of the pitfalls of Socialism and the advantages of Capitalism, thus they glorify mass murderer Che Guevara with trendy tee-shirts and mass murderer Mao Tse-Tung with quaint hats and glorify dictators like Fidel and Chavez via their nationwide network of university faculty communist operatives and now even in K through 12 nationwide and in the media.
Charles Krauthammer summed up quite well (emphasis not mine):
Democratic cocooners will tell themselves that Coakley was a terrible candidate who even managed to diss Curt Schilling. True, Brown had Schilling. But Coakley had Obama. When the bloody sock beats the presidential seal — of a man who had them swooning only a year ago — something is going on beyond personality.
That something is substance — political ideas and legislative agendas. Democrats, if they wish, can write off their Massachusetts humiliation to high unemployment, to Coakley or, the current favorite among sophisticates, to generalized anger. That implies an inchoate, unthinking lashing-out at whoever happens to be in power — even at your liberal betters who are forcing on you an agenda that you can’t even see is in your own interest.
Democrats must so rationalize, otherwise they must take democracy seriously, and ask themselves: If the people really don’t want it, could they possibly have a point?
“If you lose Massachusetts and that’s not a wake-up call,” said moderate — and sentient — Democratic Sen. Evan Bayh of Indiana, “there’s no hope of waking up.”

haha VF. I saw that teabag vid the other day and I think it is hysterical. I found this about the cartoonist:
01.10.10 – 4:26 PM
Cartoonist Receives Death Threats Over “Learn to Speak Teabag”
by Mark Fiore
Cartoonist Mark Fiore writing on on his blog:
The death threats keep coming this fine morning. I guess the Tea Party crew is determined to have “death panels” one way or another. The dustup started because of this cartoon:
“Learn to Speak Tea Bag” ran on my usual client sites, including NPR, which really set off the guys over here, here (note Condi giving child flowers down by “donate” button), here, here and here. Before you could say, “due to a pre-existing condition, your health coverage has been denied,” there was a full-fledged viral campaign by right-wing media outlets and blogs to jump, scream and shout about this animation. Which, to me, is just great!
I say that not because I get some thrill out of receiving emails that are in all capital letters or have more exclamation points than letters in the alphabet, I say that because one of the most important functions of a political cartoon, or political animation, is to foster a discussion. With thousands of comments posted, loads of emails and tweets, discussion was definitely fostered, and then some. It’s the “then some” that worries me.
Of course discussion on the web is not known for its civility, but it finally dawned on me the strangeness of receiving death threats at the same time a crazed Somali extremist tried to kill cartoonist Kurt Westergaard.
Muslim extremist, meet Tea Party extremist. Tea Party extremist, meet Muslim extremist.
That is not to say all people who associate with the Tea Party movement are killers, just as not all Muslims from Somalia are killers. I have very good friends from Somalia, and I have wonderful relatives in Idaho who are pro-gun, anti-government conservatives.
People in this world, my dear Tea Baggers, are not always categorized into easy boxes of Left vs. Right, Socialist vs. Patriot.
As a matter of fact, I myself am a left-leaning, pro-gay-marriage San Franciscan, Catholic, anti-Bush, anti-Nader guy who guts his own fish, has cut down trees with a chain saw and took political science classes with Mary Cheney. Is your head imploding yet?
Surprisingly, one of the aspects of the animation that seems to really enrage the Tea Party set is the term “Tea Bag.” Their claim is that the cartoon uses “bag” instead of “party” in order to take a cheap sexual shot at the Tea Party patriots. You can do your own research on the alternative meaning of “tea bag,” I won’t link to anything here. Oh, except maybe I should link to some Tea Whatever sites that use the very term that appalls them so. Here a bag, there a bag, everywhere a bag bag! (Too bad the sexual angle eliminates any discussion of why the Tea Party crew thinks attempting to reform a disastrous health care system amounts to Socialism, Fascism, Nazism, etc.)
Another aspect of the rabid criticism is that NPR, an organization living high on the hog thanks to the mother’s milk of government (animal metaphors, all around!), should not be funding my anti-Tea Bagger cartoons with taxpayer money. But alas, NPR does most of its villainous work using sponsorship, pledge drives and good ol’ fashioned Capitalism! According to the NPR site, a tiny one to two percent of their yearly funding comes via grants from crazed Socialist organizations like the National Science Foundation, CPB and (gasp!) the NEA. After all is said and done, the amount of taxpayer money that changed hands because NPR posted “Learn to Speak Tea Bag” was about, um . . . two-dollars and twenty-five cents. If you want to dig deeper into NPR’s financial statements, they are publicly available here.
If that sort of taxpayer funding bothers you, you definitely should avoid any taxpayer-funded city streets, return your government-sponsored digital converter box and avoid doing business with any bank that owes its existence to a taxpayer bailout.
To all of you who have written emails and comments, I really wish I could respond to every one of you. I truly appreciate your taking the time to write, even if we may be on different sides of the political fence. If there is one thing that my politically mixed San Francisco/Idaho background has taught me, it is benefit of continuing a discussion even if you don’t agree. Too often these days, the Left and the Right immediately shut down if you are deemed to be from the opposing camp. Here’s to good discussion even if we don’t agree.
Now please don’t kill me 🙂
(kindly “see how to speak tea bag vid above” in blogpost)
Wouldn’t want to mention the leftist extremist out to kill Glenn Beck and Scott Baio and others.
Nope, The only extremists are Conservatives and Muslims…

The Progressives fell ass first into a monstrous rattlesnake den when they took majority power and started marching America into communism…

150,000 dead in Haiti.
Such a sad state of affairs and yet it makes me think of the libs who are for population control and I wonder if this event brings them some kind of hidden joy.
PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti — The confirmed death toll from Haiti’s devastating earthquake has topped 150,000 in the Port-au-Prince metropolitan area alone, the communications minister said Sunday, with many more thousands dead around the country or still buried under the rubble.
Communications minister Marie-Laurence Jocelyn Lassegue told The Associated Press that the figure is based on a body count in the capital and outlying areas by CNE, a state company that has been collecting corpses and burying them in a mass grave north of Port-au-Prince. It does not include other affected cities such as Jacmel, where thousands are believed dead, nor does it account for bodies burned by relatives.
SLIDESHOW: Devastation in Haiti | HOW TO HELP | FULL COVERAGE
The United Nations said Saturday the government had confirmed 111,481 bodies; all told, authorities have estimated 200,000 dead from the magnitude-7.0 quake, according to Haitian government figures cited by the European Commission.
“Nobody knows how many bodies are buried in the rubble — 200,000, 300,000?” Lassegue said. “Who knows the overall death toll?”
Experts say chances are slim that more survivors will be found in that debris, although rescuers pulled a man buried for 11 days in the wreckage on Saturday.
Crews dug a tunnel through the rubble of a fruit and vegetable shop to reach Wismond Exantus, who is in his 20s. He was placed on a stretcher and given intravenous fluids as onlookers cheered, and later told the AP he survived by diving under a desk during the quake and later consuming some cola, beer and cookies in the cramped space.
Exantus was recuperating well at a Port-au-Prince hospital on Sunday, said Ernso Jean Pierre, the man’s brother: “He’s eating, he’s talking, he’s normal.”
Haiti’s government has declared an end to searches for living people trapped under debris, and officials are shifting their focus to caring for the thousands of survivors living in squalid, makeshift camps.

U.N. relief workers said the shift is critical: While deliveries of food, medicine and water have ticked up after initial logjams, the need continues to be overwhelming and doctors fear outbreaks of disease in the camps.
In the notorious slum of Cite Soleil, the site of some looting and violence since the quake, U.S. and Brazilian soldiers handed out food and water Sunday morning to thousands of men, women and children who lined up at a health center.
The U.S. soldiers brought 2,000 food rations, 75,000 high-energy biscuits and 9,000 bottles of water, while the Brazilians had 8 tons of food in small bags of uncooked beans, salt, sugar and sardines, as well as 15,000 liters of water.

As many as 200,000 people have fled Port-au-Prince, a city of 2 million, according to the U.S. Agency for International Development. About 609,000 people are homeless in the capital’s metro area, and the United Nations estimates that up to 1 million could leave Haiti’s destroyed cities for rural areas already struggling with extreme poverty.
The U.S. Geological Survey said Sunday it has recorded 52 aftershocks of magnitude 4.5 or greater since the Jan. 12 quake.

sami, far from a miracle, the Brown win is simply a “correction.” The Dems got elected in 2008 on a wave that snowballed into a tsunami(sorry for mixing metaphors).
Once the water subsided, it became apparent that a mop up was in order. No tsunami keeps building forever; it eventually crests, does it’s damage and everything is cleaned up until the next big wave starts to rise in the distance. The cycle continues….

Seriously, the world is overpopulated. Should we just ignore the fact and do nothing? sami, do you know what the projections are for the future? It’s frightening:
from Wiki:
The world population is the total number of living humans on Earth at a given time. As of 24 January 2010, the Earth’s population is estimated by the United States Census Bureau to be 6,798,300,000.[1] The world population has been growing continuously since the end of the Black Death around 1400.[2] The fastest rates of world population growth (above 1.8%) were seen briefly during the 1950s then for a longer period during the 1960s and 1970s (see graph). The 2008 rate of growth has almost halved since its peak of 2.2% per year, which was reached in 1963. World births have levelled off at about 134 million per year, since their peak at 163 million in the late 1990s, and are expected to remain constant. However, deaths are only around 57 million per year, and are expected to increase to 90 million by the year 2050. Because births outnumber deaths, the world’s population is expected to reach 9 billion in 2040.[3][4]

Wiki…
It’s editable. Not a citable source.

Lots of blogs that state it’s funded by taxpayer money. Blogs aren’t citable either, but…
I sure do let the air out of balloons…
foxy, right about wiki but it is often most convenient.
VF, I did cite the npr ombudsman article that states that roughly 2% of funding comes from gov’t grants. That is why I said “little to none” The actual vid probably didn’t have gov’t funding but airing it on pbs does qualify it as being partially, albeit miniscule, funded with taxes.

foxy, no air released yet foxy. not from this balloon. An old blues tune for Liberals, Democraps, and Progressive Communists.
Hey ya’ll I have a funny story to tell you and a confession, involving James Brown. Ok, I used to love to watch PeeWee Herman on Saturday mornings (confession), you know his program, PeeWees Play house. Anyway, he had the best guests on there and one time it was James Brown and it was a Christmas Special I actually recorded it and watch it at Christmas time, it’s so stinking funny! haahah
All of his guests bring him a fruit cake! haah You either love ’em or hate ’em. Nevertheless, he used them as bricks and built an addition onto the playhouse (made out of fruit cakes). Isn’t that hilarious? ahahahah
Ok, back to James Brown, James Brown and Pee Wee were ice skating (well they had this professional on pretending to be PeeWee)and they put ice skates on James Brown.
Well, James Brown was slipping and sliding and in that sorta queer voice of his, he said, “If God had wanted him to ice skate, he would have given James Brown, a skinny head and big feet!”
it was hysterical! I guess you had to be there.
Also, he had great artists on his shows always, every Saturday and the Christmas special too, like Zsa Zsa Gagor, Grace Kelly, The King of Cartoons (William Horace Marshall) Cyndi Lauper, Franki Avalon, Annette Funicello, Kady Lane, Dinah Shore sang a song once it was so funny

I’m sorry most of you guys might have missed PeeWee Hermans Hey Day! hahaah

ok, funs over back to the issues:
What the Progressive Left lives
They believe that when a white skinhead threatens a black man, it is a sign of a vast racist conspiracy; but that when paramilitary-garbed New Black Panthers with a weapon, spouting racial epithets, stand right in front of a polling place, it is no violation of civil rights at all — even after a judge has already moved to issue a default judgment against the Panthers. They believe that blacks are suffering racial discrimination when black voters themselves choose to hold non-partisan elections. They believe white firefighters can be denied promotions specifically because they are white, and that Asian students can be denied admission to college because they aren’t black, but that black students who want to attend racially integrated private schools should be sent back to de facto segregated public schools in the name of “fairness.”
The Left thinks it is good diplomacy to insult our allies while kowtowing to our enemies and bowing to problematic rivals. They tried everything in their power to stop Ronald Reagan’s Cold War policies and yet now claim to have been part of a decades-long, bipartisan consensus on Cold War efforts. They think Afghanistan is a “war of necessity” until they are in charge of it, after which it becomes a war that must be stopped, one that was inherited from bad Republicans. They oppose missile defense because they say it will never work, and then when it works they oppose it anyway. They think that American imperialists are worse than foreign Communists. They think American servicemen should be prosecuted for (allegedly) punching a jihadist-terrorist in the stomach while capturing him — and in a military court, without civilian due process rights — but that foreign terrorist suspects are too good for military justice and instead deserve Miranda rights and other domestic American civil rights.
They support jail sentences for mere paperwork violations of environmental laws, even of foreign environmental laws or regulations, but they think even violent criminals should be let free if police make unintentional mistakes in paperwork or procedure.
They also think it is dangerous to the point of being an existential threat for ordinary citizens to challenge office-holders at town hall meetings, but perfectly okay for those same powerful office-holders to call their critics “un-American.” They believe in the secret ballot for Mexicans, but not for American workers who are considering unionization. They say, against all evidence, that far more ballots are kept from being cast due to utterly unspecified “intimidation” than are cast fraudulently in the names of people who actually go nowhere near the polls, of dead people, and even of pet dogs …and of dead pet fish!!!
from aggresive fruit again.
Blogwood, why did you do it to me?
Black Lassie (Featuring Johnnie Stash)
by Cheech & Chong
1974
Hi, I’m Johnny Stash
And I’m here to sing about
A great American dog
Black Lassie
Hit it, Carl
She was born in the Detroit ghetto
During the riots of ’65
Her daddy was a big fat alley rat
But he could lick a dog twice his size
Her mama was
A long legged Afghan
And she came from the
High class part of town
But late at night
When the moon got bright
Her and the rat
Really went to town
Black Lassie, fat and sassy
She started poor, aw
But now she’s rich
She’s the queen
Of the doggy world
Top40db: The most accurate lyrics site on the net.
Black Lassie is a ghetto
(Sssh, don’t you say it)
But I’m talking about Black Lassie
Now I want everybody to listen
While Carl plays with his wa-wa
That was Carl and his wa-wa
Thank you very much, Carl
That’s just fine
You can stop now, Carl
Carl, you can stop now
Gimme that wa-wa, Carl
Don’t you ever try to play when I’m
Singing about a great American dog
Black Lassie, fat and sassy
She started poor, aw
But now she’s rich
She’s the queen of
All the doggys in the world
Because Black Lassie
She’s a ghetto
(Sssh, don’t you say it)
But I’m talking about Black Lassie
A great American
Half dog, half rat
Don’t mess with her
Because she’a a real (shut up)
Aw, shut up, yourself
I wasn’t gonna say bitch
I’m talking about Black Lassie
I can just see little Timmy now
Standing in front of that liquor store
Calling his dog
Here, Black Lassie
Here, Black Lassie
Come over here, girl
Get out that trashcan
And come over here
Woo, you stink, where you been
In that store, playing with men again
Come over here, girl
I got a cheeseburger for you
That’s right, sit up
Aw, that’s a good girl
Aw, God, you’re ugly
Those beady eyes
But I love you, girl
Speak for me, girl
Speak for me
I love you
Hit me with your best song, Todd

“My momma she disowned me cus I wear my sisters clothes,
She caught me in the bathroom with a pair of panty hose.”
Got to rest my head somewhere? 🙂
Blog, that’s funny I was thinking about Elton John today…Rocket Man.
Don’t forget Philedelphia Freedom!
wg, wow girl! I’ve never seen you so talkative! Are you stoned? hahaha
I have never seen Pee Wee’s Playhouse but I’ve heard of it lots and now that you describe it, I can see why it was so popular. That guy is so warped that I guess he is endearing. haha at least he was until, you know, the incident. heehee
I’ve mentioned on this blog before that Cheech and Chong was my very first concert when I was about 13 or 14. We were in the second row and I could have almost reached over and pulled Cheech’s tutu right offa him. The special effect reefer smoke was enough to send me to rehab. lol
love the agressive fruit manifesto. So succinct!
hey great to see you. Come back soon, ya hear?
Blogwood said, “She caught me in the bathroom with a pair of panty hose.”
taken out of context just the way the opposition does! hahaha
Let It Bleed Lyrics
The Rolling Stones
Well, we all need someone we can lean on
And if you want it, you can lean on me
Yeah, we all need someone we can lean on
And if you want it, you can lean on me
She said, “My breasts, they will always be open
Baby, you can rest your weary head right on me
And there will always be a space in my parking lot
When you need a little coke and sympathy”
Yeah, we all need someone we can dream on
And if you want it, baby, well you can dream on me
Yeah, we all need someone we can cream on
And if you want to, well you can cream on me
I was dreaming of a steel guitar engagement
When you drunk my health in scented jasmine tea
But you knifed me in my dirty filthy basement
With that jaded, faded, junky nurse
Oh what pleasant company
We all need someone we can feed on
And if you want it, well you can feed on me
Take my arm, take my leg, oh baby don’t you take my head?
Yeah, we all need someone we can bleed on
Yeah, and if you want it, baby, well you can bleed on me
Yeah, we all need someone we can bleed on
Yeah, yeah, and if you want it, baby, why don’cha bleed on me
All over
Ahh, bleed it alright, bleed it alright, bleed it alright
You can bleed all over me
bleed it alright, bleed it alright, bleed it alright
You can cum all over me
Hey rosie! hahahaahah, It’s much easier to be talkative about fun stuff than REALITY! HAHAHAHAH I gotta go, but it sure was fun.
My mom used to call this the ganggreen hour; dinner, baths, homework, laundry, kids to bed, etc. it sucks! hahaha I know I’ll actually miss it one day, just not now.
Let it Bleed was the Rolling Stones answer to the Beatles Let It Be.
gotta get outside while there is still light out.
loved this movie!
No more will my green seas
go turn a deeper blue
I could not foresee this thing
happening to you.
Sweet Home Alabama
Lynyrd Skynyrd
Big wheels keep on turning
Carry me home to see my kin
Singing songs about the Southland
I miss Alabamy once again
And I think its a sin, yes
Well I heard mister Young sing about her
Well, I heard ole Neil put her down
Well, I hope Neil Young will remember
A Southern man don’t need him around anyhow
Sweet home Alabama
Where the skies are so blue
Sweet Home Alabama
Lord, I’m coming home to you
In Birmingham they love the governor
Now we all did what we could do
Now Watergate does not bother me
Does your conscience bother you?
Tell the truth
Sweet home Alabama
Where the skies are so blue
Sweet Home Alabama
Lord, I’m coming home to you
Here I come Alabama
Now Muscle Shoals has got the Swampers
And they’ve been known to pick a song or two
Lord they get me off so much
They pick me up when I’m feeling blue
Now how about you?
Sweet home Alabama
Where the skies are so blue
Sweet Home Alabama
Lord, I’m coming home to you
Sweet home Alabama
Oh sweet home baby
Where the skies are so blue
And the governor’s true
Sweet Home Alabama
Lordy
Lord, I’m coming home to you
Yea, yea Montgomery’s got the answer

Good evening everyone! This is Obama’s message to the American people.
What’s the true purpose of Global Warming, the Climategate Scientists and AlGore?

You know if it wasn’t for Ted Kennedys unfortunate demise from brain cancer there would not have been a specieal elections in Mass. and Scott Brown would not be the new senator from Mass. I believe even in the current political climate Kennedy would have been reelected. You have to ask yourself was Kennedy’s death a blessing in disguise. I welcome all comments and points of view from my friends. Just some food for thought.
Gosh, I love her. She is so pretty and so talented!
Yes. Teddy Kennedy’s legacy was killed by his death.
Blogwood said, Yes. Teddy Kennedy’s legacy was killed by his death…..No pun intended…

oh btw foxy, when I was coming home from Canada last night listening to the CBC, they played Poke Salad Annie on the radio! I was so excited.
If I had stayed up there overnight like I originally planned, I could have seen the Olympic torch go through town today. dang.
Did I ever tell you guys about the time I conspired to steal the Olympic torch when it was on its way down to LA? Hahaha We were driving through a town just when the torch was in town. I thought it would be a great “prank” to drive by and swipe it from the runner. heehee. It was just for a gag but I realized my family back home would be shamed so I let my great idea mellow and slowly fade away. Shoot, my 15 mins of fame slipped away from my grips when I came to my senses.
Blogwood,the music connaisseur, very nice.
and I am also a fan of Procol Harem. I have a story about them too, but I will save it for another day. I’ve prolly already told it anyway.
Conquistador
Procol Harum
Conquistador, your stallion stands
In need of company
And like some angel’s haloed brow
You reek of purity
I see your armor-plated breast
Has long-since lost its sheen
And in your death-masked face
There are no signs which can be seen
And though I hope for something to find
I can see no place to unwind
Conquistador, a vulture sits
Upon your silver shield
And in your rusty scabbard now
The sand has taken seed
And though your jewel-encrusted blade
Has not been plundered still
The sea has washed across your face
And taken of its fill
And though I hope for something to find
I can see no place to unwind
Conquistador, there is no time
I must pay my respect
And though I came to jeer at you
I leave now with regret
And as the gloom begins to fall
I see there is no, only all
And though you came with sword held high
You did not conquer, only die
And though I hope for something to find
I can see no place to unwind
Though I hope for, something to find
I can see no place to unwind
Oh, tellit, is that for me? Of my days gone by? hahahah
Some early YES…
well now I have to show the vid. This version is by Tony Joe White (he wrote it right?) and Johnny Cash. Sounds like a fun duet (I’m listening to it right now.)
Wow, rosehips if you had been successful you might have ended up in prision, or the white coats could hav e come to get you, or you could have been tackled and hurt. Girl, it is a good thing you can to your senses.
Gee whiz, I’m afraid if an idea like that had come to my mind in my younger days I would have definately acted on it. whew, scary thought.

yeah wg, I’d be getting released about now and they’d give me one more day of fame and then I’d be faced with the task of looking for work (lacking all the skills of the last 25 years) with a resume that shows that for the last two and a half decades I worked making license plates in California. haha
They’d ask me if I have computer skills and I”d say “what’s a computer?” lol!

I bet Obutthole wishes he could get his hands on some now.
Let’s try that again… JJ CALE…
One of the very first disco hits.
Obutthole wanted it so bad…
wow, I just came upon this vid totally by accident and it is all photos from my state of Washington. I recognize some of these beautiful places. It’s a nice song by the indigo girls, who are coming to Spokane soon. I might go. They used to be one of my favs, much to the chagrin of my ex hubby. haha
Hey Rose, yeah it’s funny, my bestest friend now when we are together can’t believe the things I don’t do anymore!
Something will happen and she’ll say, used to you would have done this or said this or…yep, my brother say the same thing too.
Yes, I have mellowed and thank God I’m alive!
We all know what happens when a Democrap owns a city for years. We’ve seen it in New Orlenes, Cincinnati, and…
The band was named after a girlfriend sex toy.
Obutthole only wishes he were one…
OMG I love Steely Dan! I have three brothers but the one I listened to Cheech and Chong with we listened to Steely Dan, Pink Floyd, Lyndard Skynard, etc. etc. etc. Speaking of sex toys does anyone else want to take a guess besides Rosehips? LOL ROFL

The jig is up, the news is out…. It’s a heating pad! I know I know, how boring, but I’m freezing and he was my hot body! Do your wives ever put their cold feet on you when you get in the bed at night? hahahah It’s sad, eventhough he never enjoyed it, Ithink he misses it/me…I miss him! This heating pad can only do so much…
Another one Obutthole only wished he had…
Rose! I know I know. I have been very misleading, at first it was unintentional, but it became funny and was sort of a game and especially when you asked me that! hahah Now that was creative and could’ve been true! hahaha
Yes, It has been wierd I really have no time, but today, I’ve actually spent time on the blog and it’s been fun.
Hey and actually my BF is very liberal! can you beleive it???
wg, I must admit, that’s a shocker. hehe
I”m listening to the styx song. It’s bringing my spirits up. I was getting weepy thinking of you with your heating pad. 😦
The jig is up! lol you are full of jokes gurl! LOL
wg said: Hey and actually my BF is very liberal! can you beleive it???
Oh Rose, yes my brother is 49 and single, he’s been married twice but not in like the last decade and no girl friends he usually gravitated toward really crummy women that were psycho or psycho and took him for everything. He finally straigtened out and left the women alone, for the most part! haha
But now, he’s met a girl and I love her. I actually told him if he messed up with her we’d throw him overboard and keep her. We meet at Rosemary Beach every year and I can’t wait. This year all three of my brothers will be able to come and me and my brood, my father lives with me/us. My mom died and I got my dad in here and am fighting the women off! hahahaah
Not really but sort of (on my dad). My dad was/is a very good catch. Sweet, Smart, kind, good looking, etc. He needs to stay single and play the field and enjoy himself. One brother lives in Oregon, one in Wyoming and one in Tennessee, so my dad travels and fly fishes and hunts, etc. If he gets tied down he won’t be able to do that, besides my mom is the only woman he really loved.
sorry, I know TMI!
you renegade, you had it made.
wow, he said “nevermore to go astray.”?
nevermore, like from edgar allan poe?
Let’s do some surfin’!
wg, how old is your DAD???? lol
Rose!!!!! I’m sorry to get you weepy thinking about my heating pad! hahahahahaha
You are so funny!
Gosh, the kids are calling, the Jig is really up now!
I might check back later, this has been so fun, I don’t want it to end. It’s really been a long time since I’ve had fun. My hubby left in October was here for 3 days in Nov. and that was it…
So sad, I’m glad to hear from him when he skypes or calls me.
Thus quoth the raven…
Hey Obutthole! Guess what?
Obama’s vision for the United States.
Obuttholes healthcare plan…
OMG can’t stay where I need to be, took a college course with Tommy Shaws sister, that was a trip. She surprised the class with it, but I just happened to sit next to her.
I can tell you guys sometimes.
foxy, I love alan parsons project. I can’t even begin to tell you.
wg, I had to google tommy shaw, but styx was a great band. I was kind of out of the main stream during their height. They had some kick ass songs!
wg, but way cool that you knew tommy’s sista! haha
You know when the stupid voters elected this fraud president I was appalled but willing to initially give him a chance. Now I hope this lying phony does something to get impeached. I believe he is by far the dumbest f*cking president this country has ever elected and I have not doubt this moron is going to crash and burn. I just hope we all can survive his presidency.

Is David Axelrod Dishonest?
by Turing
Sun Jan 24, 2010 at 09:26:10 AM PST
I listened carefully this morning to David Axelrod’s discussion on ABC of the “lessons” that the Obama Administration has learned from Massachusetts. One lesson he said they’d learned is that “people don’t want us to walk away from health care.” Which is surprising, because I had been under the impression that one of the main things we learned from the debacle was that people hate our current approach to health care reform. This is not so, says Axelrod. Au contraire, “the bill that the House and Senate passed were patterned in many ways on the Massachusetts health care plan,” and 68% of the people who voted said they favored the Massachusetts plan. When I heard that, I thought: this guy Axelrod is going beyond spin. He’s downright dishonest, if only with himself.
* Turing’s diary :: ::
*
One of the great disasters of the current health care reform is that it will leave several of the most loyal Democratic electorates in the nation–Massachusetts being only one–WORSE OFF THAN BEFORE. Massachusetts is worse off because its current plan covers 97% of its residents, and the new plan would not do nearly as well and would cost even more. Governor Howard Dean has eloquently argued that the current “reform” will leave the people in his own state of Vermont WORSE OFF than they are now with the nearly universal coverage that was passed during Dean’s tenure. Out here in San Francisco where I live, we have what is called “Healthy San Francisco” which ensures that even the poorest of the poor can obtain any needed health care services. This program would simply disappear under the new reform.
David Axelrod says that people are disparaging the bill only because they don’t know what’s in it. He says:
The underlying elements [of the bill] are popular and important, and people will never know what’s in that bill until we pass it, the president signs it, and they have a whole range of new protections that they never had before.
In other words, stop carping, trust us, you’ll love it.
Well, Mr. Axelrod, what about the polls that show that public disapproval of Obama’s policies are rising steeply? Ah, said Axelrod:
When the president walked in the door he was handed the worst economy since the Great Depression.
Axelrod shared some of the sage advice he had given Obama when he first came into office. He said he told the new president that his numbers were not going to look nearly as good in a year due to the economic catastrophe he was inheriting. Again the honesty question.
It’s true that there are some very striking comparisons between Obama and FDR. We read that
Mr. Roosevelt swept into office as an enormously popular figure whom voters had entrusted to rescue them from a financial catastrophe that some worried could threaten America’s democracy. By the time Mr. Roosevelt took office in March, 1933, many of the nation’s banks were on the verge of collapse or shut down.
But what Mr. Axelrod seems unfamiliar with is the subsequent trajectory of FDR’s popularity as he proposed and then enacted his New Deal. His popularity soared and within a year was at 80%. How come FDR was adored and Obama is increasingly reviled? Let me suggest a few points for Mr. Axelrod to ponder before he gives the president his next round of advice.
The first point is tactical. We read:
Mr. Roosevelt, like Ronald Reagan a half-century later, figured out how to go over the heads of Congress and appeal directly to the public.
President Obama’s enormous popularity gave him a chance to do this as well, but he unfortunately surrounded himself with hacks like Axelrod and Emmanuel and tringulated instead toward some mythical centerground.
FDR in his first inaugural address proclaimed:
Practices of the unscrupulous money changers stand indicted in the court of public opinion, rejected by the hearts and minds of men…The money changers have fled from their high seats in the temple of our civilization.
Axelrod offered this pale substitute this morning: “This president is never going to stop pushing back against special interests.”
Upon election FDR showed that he meant business about the money changers in the temple:
FDR’s immediate task upon his inauguration was to stabilize the nation’s banking system. On March 6, Roosevelt declared a national ‘bank holiday’ to end a run by depositors seeking to withdraw their money from faltering banks. FDR also called Congress into emergency session where the legislature enacted, nearly sight unseen, the President’s banking proposal. Under this plan, the federal government would inspect all banks, re-open those that were sufficiently solvent, re-organize those that could be saved adn close those that were beyond repair.
Obama’s response was different. His first act, effectively, was to approve a direct $787 billion taxpayer bailout of the banks. Axelrod said Obama had to do it to avoid another Great Depression. But what is really depressing is to look at the difference between what happened to the economy after FDR’s emergency bank legislation and what happened to the economy after Obama’s huge bailout. In 1934 the American economy almost immediately began a long-term recovery from the depression. In 2009 after the bailout the American economy continued to sputter along.
We love Obama, if only he could let out his inner FDR. We thought he was going to be a champion of the middle class and the oppressed, but it appears instead he has become captive to hack political advisers who have forgotten the lessons of history and the ways that a president can use tremendous popularity to gain even more popularity as a champion of the people.
morning peeps!
you’ll love this. cnn has an article on their site with a heading that says: “Losing Kennedy’s seat a gift, Dem says” and it’s accompanied by a vid with the title: “Dem Loss: ‘hurts like hell'”
haha

yeah people don’t know what’s in the bill because the doors were locked!
“David Axelrod says that people are disparaging the bill only because they don’t know what’s in it.”
I wonder where that transparency went?
I don’t want anything they don’t want to show, but ask to “trust us”.
It is a good thing to be here and to be living in the real world.

Oh My God! Think I’m gonna throw up from the MASSIVE FLOODGATE of LIES!!!!!!!!
Guess Barrack didn’t hear this last Tuesday
Good Morning Lisa and thank you for the video.
Seems Obama is not only trying to destroy our Constitution but now also the Supreme Court who just happened to disagree with him.
This man has mental issues and should be evaluated for his un-fitness to serve as our president.
Good Morning Rose and thank you for sharing the CNN article.

hey lisa! Been missing you girl.
ya know, that SC ruling should be an issue we can come together on. Don’t you see the how corporations can control elections if they can spend as much as they like on advertising? If only Americans were smart enough or dedicated enough to find out the issues for themselves and not be influenced by a 30 second spot during a break from American Idol.
I guess that makes our job all the more important. We gots to get the real stories out there to counter the spin we’ll see in full page ads and prime time commercials.
I hope that average citizens won’t be shammed by corporate propaganda.
The Supreme Court are supposed to be impartial, unbiased and non-partisan, no? It seems that they are no more to be trusted than any of our politicians. I my state we elect justices. I think that is an idea that needs to be explored.

Rosie,
Did you feel the same way when Roe vs Wade was announced by the Supreme Court?
Sometimes there is a double standard imo.

I’m divided on this decision….That Nobama is crazy upset, makes me look to the WHY and how he benefited from this before the rule was reversed.

Obama Administration Steers Lucrative No-Bid Contract for Afghan Work to Dem Donor
By James Rosen
– FOXNews.com
The Obama administration this month awarded a $25 million federal contract for work in Afghanistan to a company owned by a prominent Democratic campaign contributor without entertaining competitive bids, Fox News has learned.
Despite President Obama’s long history of criticizing the Bush administration for “sweetheart deals” with favored contractors, the Obama administration this month awarded a $25 million federal contract for work in Afghanistan to a company owned by a Democratic campaign contributor without entertaining competitive bids, Fox News has learned.
The contract, awarded on Jan. 4 to Checchi & Company Consulting, Inc., a Washington-based firm owned by economist and Democratic donor Vincent V. Checchi, will pay the firm $24,673,427 to provide “rule of law stabilization services” in war-torn Afghanistan.
A synopsis of the contract published on the USAID Web site says Checchi & Company will “train the next generation of legal professionals” throughout the Afghan provinces and thereby “develop the capacity of Afghanistan’s justice system to be accessible, reliable, and fair.”
The legality of the arrangement as a “sole source,” or no-bid, contract was made possible by virtue of a waiver signed by the USAID administrator. “They cancelled the open bid on this when they came to power earlier this year,” a source familiar with the federal contracting process told Fox News.
“That’s kind of weird,” said another source, who has worked on “rule of law” issues in both Afghanistan and Iraq, about the no-bid contract to Checchi & Company. “There’s lots of companies and non-governmental organizations that do this sort of work.”
Contacted by Fox News, Checchi confirmed that his company had indeed received the nearly $25 million contract but declined to say why it had been awarded on a no-bid basis, referring a reporter to USAID.
Asked if he or his firm had been aware that the contract was awarded without competitive bids, Checchi replied: “After it was awarded to us, sure. Before, we had no idea.”
He declined to answer further questions, however, and again referred Fox News to USAID, saying: “I don’t want to speak for the U.S. government.”
Asked about the contract, USAID Acting Press Director Harry Edwards at first suggested his office would be too “busy” to comment on it. “I’ll tell it to the people in Haiti,” Edwards snapped when a Fox News reporter indicated the story would soon be made public. The USAID press office did not respond further.
Rep. Darryl Issa, R-Calif., the ranking Republican on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, said Fox News’ reporting on the no-bid contract in this case “disturbed” him.
Issa has written to USAID Administrator Rajiv Shah requesting that the agency “produce all documents related to the Checchi contract” on or before Feb. 5. Citing the waiver that enabled USAID to award the contract on a no-bid basis, Issa noted that the exemption was intended to speed up the provision of services in a crisis environment.
Yet “on its face,” wrote Issa to Shah, “the consulting contract awarded to Checchi to support the Afghan justice system does not appear to be so urgent or attendant to an immediate need so as to justify such a waiver.”
Corporate rivals of Checchi were reluctant to speak on the record about the no-bid contract awarded to his firm because they feared possible retribution by the Obama administration in the awarding of future contracts.
“We don’t want to be blackballed,” said the managing partner of a consulting firm that has won similar contracts. “You’ve got to be careful. We’re dealing here with people and offices that we depend on for our business.”
Still, the rival executive confirmed that open bidding on USAID’s lucrative Afghanistan “rule of law” contract was abruptly revoked by the agency earlier this year.
“It’s a mystery to us,” the managing partner said. “We were going to bid on it. The solicitation (for bids) got pulled back, and we do not know why. We may never know why. These are things that we, as companies doing business with the government, have to put up with.”
As a candidate for president in 2008, then-Sen. Obama frequently derided the Bush administration for the awarding of federal contracts without competitive bidding.
“I will finally end the abuse of no-bid contracts once and for all,” the senator told a Grand Rapids audience on Oct. 2. “The days of sweetheart deals for Halliburton will be over when I’m in the White House.”
Those remarks echoed an earlier occasion, during a candidates’ debate in Austin, Texas on Feb. 21, when Mr. Obama vowed to upgrade the government’s online databases listing federal contracts.
“If (the American people) see a bridge to nowhere being built, they know where it’s going and who sponsored it,” he said to audience laughter, “and if they see a no-bid contract going to Halliburton, they can check that out too.”
Less than two months after he was sworn into office, President Obama signed a memorandum that he claimed would “dramatically reform the way we do business on contracts across the entire government.”
Flanked by aides and lawmakers at the Dwight D. Eisenhower Executive Office Building on March 4, Obama vowed to “end unnecessary no-bid and cost-plus contracts,” adding: “In some cases, contracts are awarded without competition….And that’s completely unacceptable.”
The March 4 memorandum directed the Office of Management and Budget to “maximize the use of full and open competition” in the awarding of federal contracts.
Federal campaign records show Checchi has been a frequent contributor to liberal and Democratic causes and candidates in recent years, including to Obama’s presidential campaign.
The records show Checchi has given at least $6,600 to Obama dating back to March 2007. The contractor has also made donations to various arms of the Democratic National Committee, to liberal activist groups like MoveOn.org and ActBlue, and to other party politicians like Sen. John F. Kerry, former presidential candidate John Edwards and former Connecticut Senate candidate Ned Lamont.
Sources confirmed to Fox News that Checchi & Company is but one of a number of private firms capable of performing the work in Afghanistan for which USAID retained it.
For example, DPK Consulting, based in San Francisco and with offices in Washington, D.C. and elsewhere, states on its website that it has contracted with USAID and other federal agencies on more than 600 projects involving “governance and institutional development” across five continents.
Among DPK’s most recent projects are the establishment of a new public prosecutor’s office in Jenin, in the troubled West Bank area of the Palestinian Authority, and the improvement of court facilities in the Kyrgyz Republic in Central Asia. Similarly, BlueLaw International, based in Virginia, was awarded a $100 million contract by the State Department in April 2008 to strengthen the “rule of law” in Iraq.
Although Obama suggested in his remarks on March 4 that he hoped particularly to address problems associated with defense contracting, an Associated Press analysis last July found that the Defense Department frequently awards no-bid contracts under the aegis of the $787 billion stimulus program, and often at higher expense to U.S. taxpayers.
According to The AP, more than $242 million in federal contracts, or roughly a quarter of the Pentagon’s contract stimulus spending, was awarded through no-bid contracts. And while procurement officers say competitive bidding can actually cost the taxpayers more — because it involves delays and can thereby subject pricing for services and equipment to inflation — the AP analysis found that defense-related stimulus contracts awarded after competitive bidding saved the Pentagon $34 million, compared with $4.4 million when no bidding was involved.
Figures kept by OMB Watch, a non-profit research and advocacy group that tracks federal spending, show that no-bid contracts have been common under administrations controlled by both parties.
During fiscal years 2000 and 2001, for example, when Bill Clinton was president, as much as $139.2 billion in federal contracts was awarded without competitive bidding. The OMB Watch figures show that the practice appears to have accelerated sharply during the Bush administration, but the figures are not adjusted for inflation.
