Obama: How Dare the Supreme Court affirm today, the 1st amendment!

Gee… for a guy who relied/relies on massive special interest  campaign contributors who’s donations are crafted to get around campaign finance laws, Obama sure gets uppity if everyone can do it!

There’s that Progressive Exclusive Privilege thing again. lol

From FOXNews:

In a stunning reversal of the nation’s federal campaign finance laws, the Supreme Court ruled 5-4 Thursday that free-speech rights permit groups like corporations and labor unions to directly spend on political campaigns, prompting the White House to pledge “forceful” action to undercut the decision.

In a written statement, President Obama said the high court had “given a green light to a new stampede of special interest money in our politics.” He called it a “major victory” for Wall Street, health insurance companies and other interests which would diminish the influence of Americans who give small donations. Obama pledged to “work immediately” with Congress to develop a “forceful response.”

“The public interest requires nothing less,” Obama said.

Obama, what exactly is it about the First Amendment of the US Constitution the gets you so wee-wee’ed up?

And, just what do you think you are going to do about it?

Call your buddy Andy Sterns and tell him to have his SEIU Union pay its members to picket the US Supreme Court?

Whine to the Congressional DEM Caucuses that need campaign funding?

Pretend to stand up for the bitter ‘little guy’ that drives a pickup truck, reads his bible, and clings to his guns?

And which DC lobbyists are going to grease the congressional rails for your new quest to change the US campaign Finance Laws?

Seems you broke your primary campaign promise and went for the big money doners after you said you wouldn’t.

Gee… laws can be so inconvenient, huh?

Scott Brown can have a change of heart on certain issues and so it is that I believe he fills the need of the Conservative Movement in spite of some disturbing views. I checked out our Awesome Blog post and am so glad I did. We have a lot in common.

  19. arlenearmy says:

what Im trying to understand is why would obama whine about the Court’s decision, when he benefited from donations during the campaign.

Remember, when he & mccain were butting heads on campaign donations, in which obama broke his promise to mccain.

So I think obama would be happy w/the decision.

If i got it wrong, will somebody enlighten me.

  20. VotingFemale says:

    Good evening Arlene!

Obama has been attacking and trashing businesses for the last year… and attacked the US Chamber of Commerce…

He wants to cut the legs of any who oppose him.

This decision gives the very businesses and the private sector he has been trashing for a year the power to pick and finance campaigns that favor them and oppose Obama.

    wooo HOOO

    OBama is bumming major…

  21. arlenearmy says:

    Hey VF
I had feeling that Obama didnt like Justices decision for the reason you gave.

What confused me was the mentioning of McCain Fingold bill. It was brought in the news, but it was not explained.

  22. VotingFemale says:

    McCain is a conservative progressive…

The news outlets really did not go into the real story…

  23. Foxwood says:

I’m hearing conflicting reports that McCain-Fiengold may not be affected by what the Supreme Court did.

  24. VotingFemale says:

Foxwood… the reports have not been very deep on this… but I saw Obama go postal over it today…

    It modifies the bill…

  25. VotingFemale says:

FOXNews has been discussing it as we speak

  26. Foxwood says:

Like Krauthammer just said, you can’t take money out of the process. With McCain-Fiengold, they just found ways around it. Stop regulation. Period.

  27. VotingFemale says:

the change in the bill benefits Republicans in 2010 and 2012

Businesses have a lot more money than Unions have…

Thus the Marxists are going totally postal over this.

The comment sections of leading Leftist Blogs have since been melting down due to in fighting about the mistake it was to choose Obama instead of Hillary… it is nasty:

some Obamacrats now questioning the choice (error?) they made in 2008 in selecting Obama over Hillary.

The argument goes that while Hillary might have ended her first year in the same Obamacratic disappointments, she would have at least been a fighter where Obama is not even trying.

The Hillary buyer’s remorse is coming to a head in the comments sections of prominent left-wing blogs, with Clintonistas infuriating Obamabots with gleeful, smug ‘I told you so’ declarations.

At the Huffington Post, blogger and MSNBC analyst Craig Crawford rocked the boat with a cross posted article provacatively titled ‘What If Hillary Had Won?’

One of the comments from a PUMA: “Would it have made a difference if an inexperienced unqualified pilot had landed in the Hudson instead of Sully? Of course it would have made a difference.”

Another: “I agree, you don’t send your young, cool guy with the smooth words to tackle a major crisis. You send the Bitch!”

But a counterargument from a Clinton-hating Obamacrat doesn’t buy it:

“We’re WAY better off with Obama than we would be with any of the alternatives! I shudder to think about version 2.0 of Whitewater and Travelgate were Hillary in the oval office. Not to mention Bill on the prowl for all the interns he can eat. No, thank you.”

At Matthew Yglesias’s website, things turned profane when a Hillary supporter with a long memory called out Yglesias for suggesting that Obama has governed with the exact even-keeled pragmatism he allegedly promised during his campaign:

“Oh. My. God. Please stop this revisionist bullshit…

One candidate demonstrated through her rhetoric that Republicans were to blame for our current crisis, and that she would be taking a tough (partisan, in fact) approach to the Democratic agenda: identifying allies and villians, issuing threats, knocking heads in Congress…

The other candidate, the one Matt supported, said that that approach was doomed to failure; rather, the country needed someone to transcend partisan divides in order to find common ground on those issues where consensus could be reached. In essence, this candidate argued that really everyone pretty much agreed with the Democratic agenda, it will just take someone fresh and nice (not that old “likable enough” bitch) in order to get it through Congress…

That this approach actually held sway with half of the Democratic primary electorate is maddening. That people like Matt want disingenuously argue that this didn’t happen is infuriating.”

A sample response from a rabid Obamabot:

“We’ve got PUMA’s talking about Hillary again? Seriously? Now I now things are totally fucked. The last thing people should be bitching about is the g-ddamn 2008 primary. This is a full on meltdown.”

And the great Obamacratic Party explosion continues.

Yes, its been really great. We celebrated w/champagne when McDonnell & Christie were victorious in Virginia & New Jersey.

The MA race sort of snuck up on me. By the time I noticed Scott Brown, I didn’t have time to get champagne. But we did celebrate. I went outside & honked horn of my pickup truck.

  34. m2 says:

Wow, VF, I cannot believe that inside look at the Progressives…. You are brave for visiting their site!

  35. Foxwood says:

I think Scott Brown got the snow ball rolling downhill. I hope the momentum picks up and the ball gets bigger. I truly think the Supreme Court issue started because of Scott Brown.

  36. arlenearmy says:

I think it was Kratuhamer who said that Obama is much more weaken as a President when Brown won, than he was prior to.

Do not give this wounded animal any first aid.

  37. m2 says:

Although, it’s entertaining, -I have a hard time looking at the Nutroots sites..

I also have to laugh that they ACTUALLY think Obama has been “above the partisan divide” and “working to much with Republicans”….

Are these people single celled organisms.

    Talk about stupid.

  38. m2 says:

I have to watch Charles Krauthammer every night. He’s the best analysis there is.

But Arlene, think that was Fred Barnes that said he (Obama) is a weakling now…

  39. m2 says:

“Der Spiegel magazine, the international edition found on the World Wide Web has a story entitled, “The World Bids Farewell to Obama,” and what it is is a series of paragraphs and quotes from other newspapers in Europe. Here’s one. “The Financial Times Deutschland writes: ‘For everyone else in the world, this means that they will have to bid farewell to a candidate for whom the hopes were so high. They will have to say goodbye to the charisma they fell in love with. Obama will be staying home after all.'” So I guess the world is disappointed in Obama and therefore in America all over again. Oh, it was all for nothing!”

  40. arlenearmy says:

thanks M2…. so much information overload on the news & the internet.

When I heard it said that Obama is weakened or weakling, the 1st thing I thought in my mind was a wounded animal (dingo or predator).

I know! I know!! They’re trying to salvage some kind of professional “image”… but the kicker is, Obama won’t change course.

How can he? He’s never had a real job other than an ACORN representing Lawyer and agitator… He doesn’t know anything different than the brain-washing he received by his Communist pedophilic friend “Frank” Marshall Davis, and his Marxist Grandpa and Obama, Sr. and beloved friend Ayers.

The man is psychologically voided… whoever put him into this position (of POTUS, Soros?) really put his life at a disadvantage.

He is doomed to be the largest failure in American politics.

  46. arlenearmy says:

I saw a youtube clip of Roland Martin saying that while Democrats were sleeping, Scott Brown was running. And that Rachel Maddow is trying to make a sex discrimination issue out of Coakley losing.

But I distinctly remembered Juan Williams saying that Obama is gonna double down on republicans.

  47. m2 says:

I saw Juan saying that too… Juan is a rose-goggled Liberal who wants to believe Obama is not the Loon he’s been, not the failure he’s been, and that Obama will accomplish something.

I guess Juan is headed for disappointment.

    • Air America is dead

  54. m2 says:

Of course, y’all know I mean it’s wonderful to elect a person of any race, but not on that alone. I just always thought this would be bad for people who invested too much in the “appearances” of his election.

I gotta go, my show’s on.

  55. arlenearmy says:

    M2
Yeah, but on Glenn show, that Dr. indicated that Obama may has some mental problems. Obama growled back at the banks & then stocks took a dive.

See, Obama aint got the sense & temperament of Bill Clinton.

Another thing, Obama aint the hot dude on the block. Even liberal women are wagging their tongues over Scott Brown. Its like Brown is a REAL hunk of a man who got real manly balls. Brown’s the man – 100%. And look at Obama whose looking like a wimp whose got a wife that more manish than he is. Brown will get his hands dirty.. but Obama is acting like a sissy w/pretty hands. Obama is NOT A MAN!!!!

  56. Foxwood says:

  58. m2 says:

Arlene, I’m still reading those comments on the Krugman blog and those people agree with you- Obama is not a man!

But they are all crazy on that blog with respect to everything else they say. It’s funny to see their antipathy about the man that they looked at as a God 1 year ago. That man fell long and hard from his golden pedestal!

Oh, and like you said about the mental disease, I am sure of it! I hope Beck does have the psychiatrist on to talk more about it… it’s obvious. And not really his fault, he was raised and surrounded by NUTS! With no stable family life, different names different countries… crazy. And he hasn’t released his medical records.

    Wonder why!?
    Well we know why….

Well, I gotta go! Catch you later!!

  59. Foxwood says:

    “Obama is NOT A MAN!!!!”

  60. m2 says:

I just mean, he’s going to be a disappointment to a whole part of the population that’s been waiting for a long time to break this racial barrier, and I always thought of it as a sad thing.

speaking from a woman’s point of view, a man is more attractive when he does manly things. When I shake a man’s hand who has callous I return a smile. But if the man has soft hands & manicured nails, I pull back.

Brown in that pickup truck & wearing duck jacket & w/his manly “farm boy” walk, makes him looks like a hard working man. One can easily visualize that this man when he swets, its a gooooooooooooooooood thing. But if Obama swets, its a slime.

Appearances these days does matter. Its a reality. For sure, it helped Brown (in my personal point of view) especially when he was hard of terror & supports waterboarding.

The answer is obvious that Scott Brown stumping will win hands down. No contest.

This is why the democrats are sucking up & kissing Brown’s ass. They probably washed & waxed his truck in parking garage. They know that the republicans are already talking about convincing Brown to get on the stump for them in 2010 races.

Dems are PETRIFIED of Brown. It shows.

After the news of Clinton remark of Obama fetching his coffee, I noticed the war unfold:

    1. Clinton goes to MA for Coakley & threw monkey wrench to hurt Obama ( Clinton told voters that a vote for Coakley is a win for Haiti). Ouch!

    2. Obama gives impression that he will make Clinton fetch his coffee when he dispatched Hillary to the tarmac of diseased infested Nation, namely Haiti.

    3. Obama trips up Clinton’s fundraising after Clinton gets on TV airwaves asking for Haiti donations to be sent to Clinton foundation. Shortly after that, Obama calls in Bush, which caused another charity called Clinton, Bush Haiti Relief Fund. This takes spot light away from Clinton.

That is true some woman look at a man’s heart or his ability to fix things but I have to tell ya from my experience the bottom line usually is the bottom line. Love butterfly’s fly out the window when the going gets tuff. I have been married twice and that has been my experience.

China Lashes Out at U.S. for Internet Criticism

China rejects call by Secretary of State Clinton to lift restrictions on the Internet in the communist country, denouncing her criticism as “information imperialism” that “harm China-U.S. relations.”

  142. samiam60 says:

    Here we go……………………..!

  143. samiam60 says:

BEIJING — China rejected Friday a call by U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton for the lifting of restrictions on the Internet in the communist country, denouncing her criticism as false and damaging to bilateral ties.

A state-run newspaper labeled the appeal from Washington as “information imperialism.”

Clinton’s speech Thursday elevated the issue of Internet freedom in the U.S. human rights agenda as never before. She urged China to investigate cyber intrusions that recently prompted search engine Google to threaten to pull out of the country.

“Regarding comments that contradict facts and harm China-U.S. relations, we are firmly opposed,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Ma Zhaoxu said in a statement posted Friday on the ministry’s Web site.

“We urge the U.S. side to respect facts and stop using the so-called freedom of the Internet to make unjustified accusations against China,” the statement said.

In her speech in Washington, Clinton cited China as among a number of countries where there has been “a spike in threats to the free flow of information” over the past year. She also named Tunisia, Uzbekistan, Egypt, Iran, Saudi Arabia and Vietnam.

Ma defended China’s policies promoting the Web, saying the nation boasted more than 380 million users, 3.6 million Web sites, and 180 million blogs.

“The Chinese Internet is open and China is the country witnessing the most active development of the Internet,” Ma said, adding that China regulated the Web according to law and in keeping with its “national conditions and cultural traditions.”

Internet control is considered a crucial matter of state security in China, and Beijing is not expected to offer any concessions to the U.S. Beijing promotes Internet use for commerce, but heavily censors content it deems pornographic, anti-social or politically subversive.

Chinese cyber police troll the Web for sensitive content, and many foreign news and social media sites, including Twitter, Facebook and YouTube, are permanently blocked. Following ethnic rioting in Xinjiang last summer, authorities cut off public Web access entirely to the western region, portions of which they have only recently begun restoring.

Clinton’s speech came on the heels of a Jan. 12 threat from Google to pull out of China unless the government relented on rules requiring the censorship of content the Communist Party considers subversive. The ultimatum came after Google said it had uncovered a computer attack that tried to plunder its software coding and the e-mail accounts of human rights activists protesting Chinese policies.

Eric Schmidt, Google’s chief executive, said Thursday that the company hoped to find a way to maintain a presence in China but intended to stop censoring search results within “a reasonably short time.”

U.S. State Department officials have said they intend to lodge a formal complaint with Chinese officials soon over the Google matter. Clinton not only urged China to investigate the cyber intrusions but openly publish its findings.

China has sought to downplay the Google dispute and Ma repeated China’s standard line that its laws ban hacking and that it was a leading target for cyber crime.

On Thursday, Vice Foreign Minister He Yafei was quoted by the official Xinhua News Agency as saying the Google case “should not be linked with relations between the two governments and countries; otherwise, it’s an over-interpretation.”

Clinton’s speech was also denounced by an official newspaper Friday as part of a U.S. campaign to impose its values and denigrate other cultures, labeling it “information imperialism.”

China must defend itself from information from the West that comes “loaded with aggressive rhetoric against those countries that do not follow their lead,” said the English-language Global Times, published by the Communist Party’s official People’s Daily as part of a government-sponsored campaign to develop international media and influence opinion about China overseas.

“Unlike advanced Western countries, Chinese society is still vulnerable to the effect of multifarious information flowing in, especially when it is for creating disorder,” the newspaper said. It offered no examples.

As part of Washington’s promotion of Internet freedoms, U.S. diplomats in China have reached out to bloggers as a method of skirting Beijing’s Internet controls, sometimes called the “Great Firewall of China.”

On Friday, the U.S. Embassy in Beijing and consulates in Shanghai and Guangzhou were hosting Internet-streamed discussions with members of the blogging community to “share insights and answer questions about Clinton’s speech,” the embassy said.

The Republican Scott Brown Victory Tuesday has set off a chain of events that have sent Democrats and Progressives into a tailspin that is now out of control. The Obama Kool-Aid was no comfort to those who witnessed first hand the Will of the true Patriots in America.

Our Constitution is Strong and working just fine as the Supreme Court overturns a ruling that now puts Politics on a Freedom of Speech Basis and leaves Obama without the advantage of being the only one with huge money from his supporters. In fact it seems the Obama Supporters are now falling away from the chosen One and in a rabid fight with their fellow Liberal/Progressive/Democrats. We may soon see the label of
Progressive changed as it now has a very, very, negative connotation attached to it.
Socialist/Marxist/Communists must now come up with a new name for themselves.

I propose the name of “Bi-Polar Party” based on the incredible infighting we are now seeing amongst them.

The SEIU stormtroopers and Acorn have lost the protection of the Chosen One who is now weak and feeble. Nancy,Harry, and Barney must be in a total state of shock and dismay at having their short time in power Shortened!

Looks to me like the melt down we are now seeing can all be attributed to the name calling we have seem from the Left towards us on the Right. When will they learn that sticks and stones may break our bones but names will never hurt us.
Good by to all of you hate filled Progressives out there. You did this to yourselves and are too stupid to realize it. RIP

President Obama is trying to Whitewash Terrorism.

Task Force Recommends 35 Gitmo Detainees Face Trial or Commission

A presidentially-created task force has recommended about three dozen Guantanamo Bay detainees face trial or military commissions, two government officials said Friday. Such prosecutions would almost certainly take place in the United States.

The two officials said that a task for has recommended 35 Guantanamo Bay detainees for prosecution. Attorney General Eric Holder has already decided that five of those will be tried in New York federal court for their alleged roles in the 2001 terror attacks.

Another six have been chosen to face military commissions. A venue for those commissions has not been decided yet, but the most likely place is a planned prison facility in Illinois to house terrorism-era detainees. The Obama administration still needs money from Congress to renovate that facility.

As part of President Obama’s plan to close the Guantanamo Bay prison, the task force has recommended 47 detainees be held indefinitely without charge. Another 17 detainees who are Yemenis are likely to be held for some time to come, until U.S. counterterrorism officials can find a secure place in their home country or other foreign countries to send them, the officials said.

They also said that a total of about 110 detainees have been approved for transfer.

The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the findings of the task force. The new figures were first reported in Friday’s editions of The Washington Post.

The group’s conclusions are not binding, and could be changed by the National Security Council.

There currently are 196 detainees remaining at Guantanamo. In the past year, the administration has transferred more than 40 inmates, but has fallen far short of its goal of closing Guantanamo by its one year deadline, which came Friday.
