Rose, in the case of Rush’s statement… it is true that once an entitlement program is passed into law… getting it repealed is a virtual impossibility.
Legally it can be done… but repealing large entitlement bills has not been successful in the past.
The progressives were the ones who pushed through Alcohol Prohibition… and that got repealed… but it was a prohibition not and entitlement.

They never said it wasn’t relating to the death panel of bureaucrats. For the record, when the R. Sen addressed this on the floor weeks ago (rule change), I had know it was in reference to the death panel of bureaucrats and never thought otherwise. And as a Rush fan, he didn’t fabricate anything different from the death panel of bureaucrats, and furthermore he didn’t spend more than 10 min. on the subject in totality.
I think you pretend to know what Rush is about Rose, but you should listen to him yourself before making definable assertions based on another person’s listening, be it Foxwood, or the Left.
That they defy the rules of the Senate and write in that about the death panel of bureaucrats should give any and every American a cold chill down their spine. Especially being there is no support at all for the totality of this “Bill”, by the people on the Left and Right, or even amongst the total whole of Democrats in D.C. (buy offs, closed doors, and 7 am votes on Christmas Eve.. Screams the monstosity and evil of this bill which they are not proud of.)
vf, I was disheartened when the news came on yesterday afternoon about the earthquake and at that time, as photos emerged of the widespread destruction, the Obama admin issued a statement that he “was monitoring” the situation and would offer aid if needed (or something like that.) I thought it was lame. It was already obvious that aid was needed IMMEDIATELY.

You know, this is amazing, folks. I don’t know if you know this or not, but last night Martha Coakley, the Democrat candidate in Massachusetts, was in Washington for a fundraiser, and the fundraiser was basically put on for her by insurance company and pharmaceutical lobbyists. I’m going to comment on that later, ’cause people are asking, “What in the world are these two groups trying to help a Democrat get elected for and maintain this stupid Obamacare?” I’ll tell you what’s going on with that in just a second. But when she came out of a restaurant last night, she was followed by a report named John McCormack. He from the Weekly Standard. He tried to ask her a question, and somebody came and shoved him to the sidewalk into a metal railing, and he fell down on the sidewalk.
This is a taught tactic. Then the same person goes up and says, “Oh, my God somebody fell!” He goes down, helps the person up and then kept bumping the guy, the reporter, so he couldn’t get close to Coakley. Now, this was assault and battery. The video shows it. It was Michael Meehan, a Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee guy, “message expert.” He’s been imported at the last moment here to try to help out the Coakley campaign.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – More than a dozen U.S. state attorneys general visited Washington on Wednesday threatening to sue the U.S. government if the so-called “Cornhusker Kickback,” a special subsidy offered to Nebraska, is included in pen1ding healthcare reform legislation.
The subsidy, which was included in the Senate version of the bill, is “capricious and arbitrary treatment of Nebraska,” said South Carolina’s Republican Attorney General Henry McMaster, who has organized a group of 15 attorneys to pursue a lawsuit.
The group includes two Democrats, one from Oklahoma and one from American Samoa.

we have identified six possible scenarios that could
cause ObamaCare to be defeated.
I’ll start with the least likely…
#6–Union blues
The left is nearly as angry as the Right, calling the Reid bill
a bailout for the insurance industry. The unions are upset
about the tax on their so-called “Cadillac” health care plans
and want that removed. The Left has held the coalition together
with a “live together, die alone” motto, but politics changes
with the wind. And the Left knows the winds are changing. I
list this first because it is the least likely. But it is
still possible.
#5–One Democrat Senator can’t make it to the floor to vote.
Despite the backroom deals and dirty tricks, as we understand
it there will be one more final cloture vote in the Senate.
Rules require 60 votes to invoke cloture. If one Democrat
Senator can’t make it to the floor, for any reason (health,
accident, death etc.) they don’t have 60 votes.
#4–The Cornhusker Kickback kicks back.
Arnold Schwarzenegger told California’s members of Congress
to vote NO unless their state also gets the Cornhusker
Kickback. Now Dems are scrambling to give every state a
kickback. The more talk about kickbacks and the more
uncomfortable everyone is with this entire fiasco.
#3–Abortion issue divides Democrats.
Rep. Bart Stupak has already voiced his opposition to Nelson’s
compromise and says he has the votes to stop any abortion-
funding ObamaCare bill. An equal number of House Democrats
have vowed to torpedo any final bill that includes Stupak’s
amendment. One group must blink for ObamaCare to pass.
#2–Three House Democrats change their votes.
Abortion is just one of the issues dividing Democrats. Rep.
Cantor has identified 34 House Democrats who are facing a
very difficult vote based on three issues: abortion, Medicare
Advantage, and state budget crises. It is now an election year.
The pressure is building. If three members feel enough heat
to switch their votes, ObamaCare fails.
#1–The Massachusetts Miracle.
The Bay State’s special election next week to fill the late
Sen. Kennedy’s seat is now a tossup in some polls, and
Republican candidate Scott Brown has pledged to be the
41st vote to block ObamaCare. If Brown is seated before
the final ObamaCare vote, game over. There is already
talk that if Brown wins, Democrats will stall his election
certification in order to keep him from casting the
deciding vote.
The special election is next Tuesday (1/19), before any final
votes will be cast on ObamaCare. If a Republican takes Teddy
Kennedy’s seat, I say all bets are off. Democrats from
coast-to-coast will suddenly get a lot more nervous about
voting for ObamaCare. Unlike old king Belshazzar in the
book of Daniel, they won’t need a prophet to interpret the
“handwriting on the wall” — vote now for ObamaCare and
get defeated in November.
Just about the only thing we can do is to vote the dems out in 2010, w/the hope that newly elected will reverse this monstrosity.
Of all the things in this country that we should have stability in, it should be healthcare. Doctors are already getting spooked ahead of the vote.

Taxes on businesses get passed on to customers… another hidden tax… to pay for ObamaCare which is not financially feasible, as designed. And they cast the financial institutions who were strong armed by the Socialists’ Community Organizations Coalitions of Power to execute the Cloward – Piven Strategy to destroy the financial sector by forcing them into the high risk real estate loans which was the cause of the 2008/2009/2010 recession.

Just me, I thought Glenn was easy on her. It’s was like a love fest. I think she needs tougher questions from friends to get her used to what the Commie Press will give to her.

I ran off and started working on a Jarrett blogpost
Bill O has been dishing the ‘tough love’ on Sarah Palin by the barrel… some say some of it is over the top. Sarah is guarded with Bill. Not so with Hannity… I saw in Sarah’s eyes during her first apparence on Hannity, a distinct level of affection for Sean.
I saw the Beck/Palin hour as an emotional spiritual patriot mind meld.
It is quite obvious to me… Glenn is head over heels in love with Sarah on many levels. It was a worship fest.
Beck was validating his views and feelings through her… seeking a kindred spirit. I saw Sarah take on the nurturing role but it was quite subtle.

VF – I tell you…. My lights went out in part of the basement and the furnace. Electrician came at a cost of millions and got all working but says I need my furnace man – sticky gas valve. Well, I’ll tell you, I’ve got a sticky gas valve myself, lol.
Next, the outlook mail on this computer is shot – got a blue screen this am. Have to go to upstairs computer to get mail. Border territorial about area where computer is. Call into computer people to move computer and set up elsewhere. I just can’t lift that cpu and I am not up to dealing with ANYTHING.
VF – that part native American blood you have – can you contact a spirit or something to give me some relief. Jaweh seems to be busy.
I have to admit to a crush on the woman. But beyond that, she has my values.
VF just got a desperate e-mail from OFA yesterday calling all storm troopers to go to Mass for door to door, etc. I really think that organization is illegal. I think any outside influence in a local election is illegal.
