I have long followed the Global Warming debate and controversy, its Socialist Politicization, and the salivating greed of companies like General Electric who have eagerly done sixty-nine with Obama and other Socialists for years just to corner a market for a contrived solution to a non-existent problem… the Myth of Global Warming.
One of the best articles I have see to date on the uncovering of the most damning evidence of Scientific Malpractice since Alchemy is the article by James Delingpole published in the Telegraph in the United Kingdom…
Climategate: the final nail in the coffin of ‘Anthropogenic Global Warming’?

If you own any shares in alternative energy companies I should start dumping them NOW. The conspiracy behind the Anthropogenic Global Warming myth (aka AGW; aka ManBearPig) has been suddenly, brutally and quite deliciously exposed after a hacker broke into the computers at the University of East Anglia’s Climate Research Unit (aka Hadley CRU) and released 61 megabites of confidential files onto the internet. (Hat tip: Watts Up With That)
When you read some of those files – including 1079 emails and 72 documents – you realise just why the boffins at Hadley CRU might have preferred to keep them confidential. As Andrew Bolt puts it, this scandal could well be “the greatest in modern science”. These alleged emails – supposedly exchanged by some of the most prominent scientists pushing AGW theory – suggest:
Conspiracy, collusion in exaggerating warming data, possibly illegal destruction of embarrassing information, organised resistance to disclosure, manipulation of data, private admissions of flaws in their public claims and much more.
One of the alleged emails has a gentle gloat over the death in 2004 of John L Daly (one of the first climate change sceptics, founder of the Still Waiting For Greenhouse site), commenting:
“In an odd way this is cheering news.”
But perhaps the most damaging revelations – the scientific equivalent of the Telegraph’s MPs’ expenses scandal – are those concerning the way Warmist scientists may variously have manipulated or suppressed evidence in order to support their cause.
Here are a few tasters. (So far, we can only refer to them as alleged emails because – though Hadley CRU’s director Phil Jones has confirmed the break-in to Ian Wishart at the Briefing Room – he has yet to fess up to any specific contents.) But if genuine, they suggest dubious practices such as:
Manipulation of evidence:
I’ve just completed Mike’s Nature trick of adding in the real temps to each series for the last 20 years (ie from 1981 onwards) amd from 1961 for Keith’s to hide the decline.
Private doubts about whether the world really is heating up:
The fact is that we can’t account for the lack of warming at the moment and it is a travesty that we can’t. The CERES data published in the August BAMS 09 supplement on 2008 shows there should be even more warming: but the data are surely wrong. Our observing system is inadequate.

So what do we do about this? I think we have to stop considering “Climate Research” as a legitimate peer-reviewed journal. Perhaps we should encourage our colleagues in the climate research community to no longer submit to, or cite papers in, this journal. We would also need to consider what we tell or request of our more reasonable colleagues who currently sit on the editorial board…What do others think?”
“I will be emailing the journal to tell them I’m having nothing more to do with it until they rid themselves of this troublesome editor.”“It results from this journal having a number of editors. The responsible one for this is a well-known skeptic in NZ. He has let a few papers through by Michaels and Gray in the past. I’ve had words with Hans von Storch about this, but got nowhere. Another thing to discuss in Nice !”

There is a wonderful program on PBS – Frontline – about Credit card abuse on the part of the banks.
It is getting into the banks lobbying.
With the Depression, Americans were demanding change – there was a lot of anger out there about the cards.
Financial industry people were very aggressively lobbying.
They were into retroactive interest changes and, get this, if you were late paying say your electric bill, they raised your rates!
The credit industry immediately worked around the new laws AND retained the ability to raise rates to anything they want.
Congress could not make the law immediate – the lobbyists got 80 or more days.
Card companies are reducing lines of credit at the same time they are raising interest rates. This is really tough on small businesses.
Small businesses are EXCLUDED from the new credit card law. Small business and their hiring will bring us out of recessions.
Banks are scared of credit card losses. The way they make up for losses is to make it up by charging those left to pay for the others.
Banks have software that sorts out the overdraft checks from the largest to the smallest. That means they get to overdraft faster.
Banks say well customers want us to process their mortgage checks and student loan checks first.
Movement to cap credit card interest rates but Geitner and Banks don’t want this. The government would be into the market – it is against the rules of capitalism.
Obama Admin opposed to doing anything radical to hurt the banks.
New rules mean harder to get credit cards.
Their needs to be less debt in the system and we need to make it possible for people to pay back their loans.
The sad fact is the people will pay anything for a loan when they need it.

For NO REASON other than to get the higher rates in before the deadline, Several of my credit cards have jumped 5% higher on the rates than what I AGREED to pay when I got the cards.
As I see it, I will pay my debt at the rate I agreed to, then stop paying the bill. They have already been contacted and told this was what I would do.
At this point, I don’t give a rat butt what the corrupt bastards do. Loan sharking is against the law and I did not agree to that percent, so too bad being them.
Since I demanded NO to the bailouts–but was ignored, I refuse to bail their sorry asses out AGAIN.

On August 6th Kenneth Gladney attended the Russ Carnahan town hall meeting in south St. Louis County. Kenneth was there to make some money selling freedom flags and buttons. After the meeting Kenneth was assaulted, beaten and stomped by angry SEIU thugs who were upset that a black man would be selling anti-Obama merchandise. Gladney was taken to the hospital following the attack.
Ken Gladney was in a wheelchair after his public beating by SEIU thugs. Kenneth Gladney attended this protest against SEIU violence in August in St. Louis. He was beaten, kicked and called racist names by Russ Carnahan’s SEIU supporters after the town hall meeting earlier that week. St. Louis County officials have yet to press charges.
It’s been over 3 months and still St. Louis county officials have not met with Kenneth Gladney to discuss the case nor have they press charges against the SEIU thugs who beat him.
Today after Kenneth set up an appointment with the county officials to discuss the crime– they blew him off. Kenneth made the appointment and they totally ignored him.
Later today Kenneth Gladney talked about how the county is ignoring the crime against him:
Kenneth Gladney was beaten once in the street in a hate crime. But, it doesn’t matter to county officials.
They have better things to do than protect a black man who was assaulted by SEIU thugs.
This Socialist Partisan parsing of justice on the basis of Politics is a major component of rejection of a Two Faced Politicial Party and Ideology… if a government is powerful enough to provide you with everything you need… it is powerful enough to take away everything you have… including protection under the law for political motivated crime like this.

He is innately a private person accustomed to having his secrets. Living as president in the white house must be torture for people like him… he can repeat what he reads on a teleprompter well …speaking extemporaneously in view of the public eye speaking causes his obvious stress.
His facade which covers his problems is starting to crack wider and wider…. I want to see his psychological medical history.

Adult Autism, one of the symptoms…
Obama’s reaction to the Cambridge arrest of the professor is a case in point.
Obama was totally blindsided by the normal reaction to his behavior by normal people. His disconnect from people was glaring in the extreme.
I am on the mission… Obama has a mental condition… and I’m going after it with the determination of a Puma on the hunt.

Obama’s Approval Slide Finds Whites Down to 39%Support has declined much more among whites than among nonwhitesby Jeffrey M. Jones
PRINCETON, NJ — Since the start of his presidency, U.S. President Barack Obama’s approval rating has declined more among non-Hispanic whites than among nonwhites, and now, fewer than 4 in 10 whites approve of the job Obama is doing as president.
Obama last week fell below 50% approval in Gallup Daily tracking for the first time in his presidency, both in daily three-day rolling averages and in Gallup Daily tracking results aggregated weekly.
“The only subgroup showing a greater change than whites is Republicans, down 24 points since Obama’s first full week in office.”In his first full week in office (Jan. 26-Feb. 1), an average of 66% of Americans approved of the job Obama was doing, including 61% of non-Hispanic whites and 80% of nonwhites. In the most recent week, spanning Nov. 16-22 interviewing, his approval rating averaged 49% overall, 39% among whites, and 73% among nonwhites. Thus, since the beginning of his presidency, his support has dropped 22 points among whites, compared with a 7-point loss among nonwhites.
Given the 17-point drop in his approval rating among all U.S. adults, it follows that Obama’s support has declined among all major demographic and attitudinal subgroups, with one notable exception — blacks.
Blacks’ support for Obama has averaged 93% during his time in office, and has been at or above 90% nearly every week during his presidency. Thus, part of the reason Obama’s support among nonwhites has not dropped as much as his support among other groups is because of his consistent support from blacks. (With Hispanics’ approval rating down five points, greater declines among Asians, Native Americans, and those of mixed races account for his total seven-point drop among nonwhites.)
The accompanying table shows how Obama’s approval rating has changed by subgroup from his first full week in office to the most recent week. The only subgroup showing a greater change than whites is Republicans, down 24 points during this time. Independents’ approval of Obama has declined nearly as much (down 18 points), whereas support among Democrats is down only 6 points.
Obama’s strongest support comes from blacks, Democrats, and liberals — all of whom give him approval ratings above 80%. He maintains solid support of more than 60% from nonwhites, Hispanics, and young adults.
A Closer Look at Race and Party
One reason Obama may have maintained support among blacks is their overwhelming affiliation with the Democratic Party. This is not a sufficient explanation, though, because Obama’s approval rating has dropped among Democrats even as it has held steady among blacks.
In fact, it appears as though Obama’s relatively small loss in support among Democrats has come exclusively from white Democrats. In late January/early February, Obama averaged 87% approval among white Democrats and 90% approval among nonwhite Democrats. Now, his approval rating among white Democrats is 76%, down 11 points, but is essentially the same (if not a little higher) at 92% among nonwhite Democrats.

Really? A tax on national defense? I hear liberal Congressional proposals and I, like most Americans, wonder if they’re serious. We’re going to put a price tag on security?
With Congress and President Obama spending money on everything at breakneck speed, it’s interesting that they are only now getting nervous about spending – but only when it comes to providing the necessary funds to complete our mission in Afghanistan. They don’t need a new “war tax” to fund a strategy for victory in the war zone. They simply need to prioritize our money appropriately.
I find it telling that the Pelosi-Reid Congress is only cost-conscious when it comes to our national defense. Scary. Nonsensical. Unacceptable.

Navy SEALs Face Assault Charges for Capturing Most-Wanted Terrorist
Navy SEALs have secretly captured one of the most wanted terrorists in Iraq — the alleged mastermind of the murder and mutilation of four Blackwater USA security guards in Fallujah in 2004. And three of the SEALs who captured him are now facing criminal charges, sources told FoxNews.com.
The three, all members of the Navy’s elite commando unit, have refused non-judicial punishment — called an admiral’s mast — and have requested a trial by court-martial.
Ahmed Hashim Abed, whom the military code-named “Objective Amber,” told investigators he was punched by his captors — and he had the bloody lip to prove it.
Now, instead of being lauded for bringing to justice a high-value target, three of the SEAL commandos, all enlisted, face assault charges and have retained lawyers.
Matthew McCabe, a Special Operations Petty Officer Second Class (SO-2), is facing three charges: dereliction of performance of duty for willfully failing to safeguard a detainee, making a false official statement, and assault.
Petty Officer Jonathan Keefe, SO-2, is facing charges of dereliction of performance of duty and making a false official statement.
Petty Officer Julio Huertas, SO-1, faces those same charges and an additional charge of impediment of an investigation.
The three SEALs will be arraigned separately on Dec. 7. Another three SEALs — two officers and an enlisted sailor — have been identified by investigators as witnesses but have not been charged.
FoxNews.com obtained the official handwritten statement from one of the three witnesses given on Sept. 3, hours after Abed was captured and still being held at the SEAL base at Camp Baharia. He was later taken to a cell in the U.S.-operated Green Zone in Baghdad.
The SEAL told investigators he had showered after the mission, gone to the kitchen and then decided to look in on the detainee.
“I gave the detainee a glance over and then left,” the SEAL wrote. “I did not notice anything wrong with the detainee and he appeared in good health.”
Lt. Col. Holly Silkman, spokeswoman for the special operations component of U.S. Central Command, confirmed Tuesday to FoxNews.com that three SEALs have been charged in connection with the capture of a detainee. She said their court martial is scheduled for January.
United States Central Command declined to discuss the detainee, but a legal source told FoxNews.com that the detainee was turned over to Iraqi authorities, to whom he made the abuse complaints. He was then returned to American custody. The SEAL leader reported the charge up the chain of command, and an investigation ensued.
The source said intelligence briefings provided to the SEALs stated that “Objective Amber” planned the 2004 Fallujah ambush, and “they had been tracking this guy for some time.”
The Fallujah atrocity came to symbolize the brutality of the enemy in Iraq and the degree to which a homegrown insurgency was extending its grip over Iraq.
The four Blackwater agents were transporting supplies for a catering company when they were ambushed and killed by gunfire and grenades. Insurgents burned the bodies and dragged them through the city. They hanged two of the bodies on a bridge over the Euphrates River for the world press to photograph.
Intelligence sources identified Abed as the ringleader, but he had evaded capture until September.
The military is sensitive to charges of detainee abuse highlighted in the Abu Ghraib prison scandal. The Navy charged four SEALs with abuse in 2004 in connection with detainee treatment

ABC announces Oprah-Obama Christmas special

The queen of daytime will interview the president of the country during an ABC holiday special that brings together Oprah Winfrey and Barack Obama.
The network has announced “Christmas at the White House: An Oprah Primetime Special,” which includes an interview with the president, a conversation with the First Couple and tour of the White House.
The special marks the first time Winfrey has interviewed Obama since he took office. “Christmas at the White House” will air Sunday, Dec. 13, at 10 p.m.
Winfrey, who has never endorsed a presidential candidate before, was a strong supporter of Obama during his presidential campaign, stumping for him in key states.
She attended Obama’s victory rally in Chicago last November and the president’s inauguration in January but has not been politically involved since the election and recently interviewed former Alaska governor and Obama rival Sarah Palin.
Winfrey also didn’t attend the high-profile first White House state dinner Tuesday night, but her close friend Gayle King did.
While she reigns in daytime with her talk show, Winfrey has rarely hosted primetime specials, most notably her 1993 interview with Michael Jackson at his estate. Oprah recently announced she will end her syndicated talk show in 2011 and focus on launching her cable network, OWN.

Lending Declines as Bank Jitters Persist

U.S. lenders saw loans fall by the largest amount since the government began tracking such data, suggesting that nervousness among banks continues to hamper economic recovery.
Total loan balances fell by $210.4 billion, or 3%, in the third quarter, the biggest decline since data collection began in 1984, according to a report released Tuesday by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. The FDIC also said its fund to backstop deposits fell into negative territory for just the second time in its history, pushed down by a wave of bank failures.
The decline in total loans showed how banks remain reluctant to lend, despite the hundreds of billions of dollars the government has spent to prop up ailing banks and jump-start lending. The issue has taken on greater urgency with the U.S. unemployment rate hitting 10.2% in October, even as the economy appears to be stabilizing.

Real Time Econ: Takeaways from the FDIC Report “There is no question that credit availability is an important issue for the economic recovery,” FDIC Chairman Sheila Bair told reporters Tuesday. “We need to see banks making more loans to their business customers.”
She said large banks — which account for 56% of industry assets and received a large share of the government’s bailout funds — accounted for 75% of the decline.
James Chessen, chief economist at the American Bankers Association, an industry trade group, said, “It’s a very risky time for any lender because the probability of loss is greater, and they are being prudent in their approach to lending. Their regulators are demanding it.”
The FDIC’s quarterly banking profile, which analyzed data from 8,099 federally insured banks, reported that 552 financial institutions, with combined assets of $345.9 billion, were on the government’s problem list at the end of September, up from 416 with $299.8 billion of assets at the end of June. That means roughly 7% of all U.S. banks are on the list and face a higher probability of failure.
FDIC officials don’t disclose the names of banks on the list, in part because it could lead to bank runs.
Many banks on the problem list are expected to return to health, but the FDIC is seeing a jump in the number of failures. Fifty banks failed in the third quarter, the most in a single quarter since the fourth quarter of 1992. Three new banks were chartered in the third quarter, the lowest quarterly number since World War II.
The FDIC said its deposit-insurance fund, which backstops trillions of dollars in deposit accounts, fell to a negative $8.2 billion at the end of September, an $18.6 billion drop from the end of June. The FDIC said one reason for the decrease was that the agency shifted $21.7 billion from the fund into reserves for bank failures over the next 12 months.
Even though the FDIC’s fund balance was negative, it still had reserves of cash. The FDIC said it had $23.3 billion in cash at the end of September to help resolve future bank failures.
FDIC officials recently agreed to require banks to prepay three years’ worth of government insurance fees, which is expected to bring in an additional $45 billion by the end of the year.
The decrease in loan balances reported Tuesday likely reflects a decline in demand for loans among economically anxious businesses and consumers, as well as a reduced willingness by banks to lend.
The total of commercial and industrial loans, a category that includes business loans, fell to $1.28 trillion at the end of September, from $1.36 trillion at the end of June. The outstanding total of construction loans, credit cards and mortgages also fell.
Government officials have stepped up pressure on banks to make more loans in recent weeks.
The banking industry recorded a net profit of $2.8 billion for the third quarter, compared with a $4.3 billion loss in the second quarter, according to the FDIC report. Banks wrote off $50.8 billion in bad loans in the third quarter, $22.6 billion more than they did in the third quarter of 2008.
Ms. Bair said the industry wasn’t likely to be profitable in the fourth quarter, in part because banks are expected to write off more bad loans before year-end.

We’ve tried fried turkey a couple yrs. ago. But the person who made it, didn’t fix it good enough. He had us buying peanut oil & turkey fryer. It was the only meat we had on that Thanksgiving Day. The result: It turned out dry & it was burnt. I had to pretend to like it so feelings wouldnt get hurt.
This is why I went back to fixing traditional turkey.

My people came out from England, Scotland and Ireland. The “old sod” is, as I have reported on my blog and mentioned here is slowly being overcome by another culture; other laws. The landscape is now flooded with mosques and burka-wearing women.
My heritage is under siege. I would like to leave you this Thanksgiving eve with the elegiac Nimrod section of Elgar’s Enigma Variations. It is played on many state occasions in Britain. This year at the wreath laying at the Cenotaph.
This is next – “Jerusalem” based on the poem by William Blake – is like a national anthem. You will remember it from the movie “Chariots of Fire.” For those of you old enough, I believe it was the hymn sung in church in the war-time movie, “Mrs. Minniver.”
The poem was inspired by the ancient legend that the young Jesus accompanied by his uncle Joseph of Arimathea , who was a maritime trader, traveled to the area that is now England and visited Glastonbury.
The final piece to honor a heritage under siege is the hymn “I vow to thee my country.” Princess Diana sang it often as as school girl and loved it. Here is is sung by the choir at Westminster Abbey at her funeral:

The DOG remembers having to go to the grocery store – the DOG’s favorite place to sit down with a nosh and all the trashy magazines and have a quiet time thinking about fluff and murder.

To get really down and dirty with fantastic references – I put “university” in my search string and I have pulled up a lot of scholarly works. Also, you can do an advanced search in google – one is called scholarly.
