Obama arrogantly attempts Serious Violation of the US Constitution (video)

MESSAGE TO THE PRESIDENT:

This is a Constitutional Democracy
You are NOT ALLOWED
TO VIOLATE
THE US CONSTITUTION
Under Penalty of Law

obama arrogant

Obama’s Nixonian Behavioral fallout
will chase him
like a pack of wolves
running down a sheep

The arrogance of Obama seems to know no bounds… and for a Constitutional Lawyer to attempt such a blatant and serious violation of the US Constitution which he took a vow to uphold almost got his butt in a sling from which few presidents survive politically.

The White House Press Pool was instructed by the White House to Black Ball FOX News from participating in the WH Press Pool interviewing of Kenneth R. Feinberg.

Had they followed the WH instructions a major violation of the US Constitution by the White House would have occurred and there would have been no undoing the fact that it happened. Obama’s fate would have been sealed.

The US Judicial System would have been automatically mandated to step in and block the Executive Branch in its unconstitutional actions.

ABC CBS NBC CNN saved the President from a disaster.

The event…

Obama told the White House Press Pool to blackball FOX NEWS from being part of the press pool interviewing Kenneth R. Feinberg on his announcement to slash the pay of executives by up to 90% who work for bailed out financial companies.

The arrogance of Obama narrowly missed the infliction of self-damage of colossal proportions.

In direct and unequivocal defiance of President  Obama, ABC CBS NBC CNN refused to interview Kenneth R. Feinberg unless FOX News was allowed to also interview him.

President Obama backed down… and the FOX News interview proceeded to completion.

White House attacks worry moderate Democrats

A White House effort to undermine conservative critics is generating a backlash on Capitol Hill — and not just from Republicans.

“It’s a mistake,” said Rep. Jason Altmire, a moderate Democrat from western Pennsylvania. “I think it’s beneath the White House to get into a tit for tat with news organizations.”

Altmire was talking about the Obama administration’s efforts to undercut Fox News. But he said his remarks applied just the same to White House efforts to marginalize the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, a powerful business lobby targeted for its opposition to climate change legislation.

“There’s no reason to gratuitously piss off all those companies,” added another Democrat, Rep. Jim Moran of Virginia. “The Chamber isn’t an opponent.”

POLITICO reported earlier this week on an all-fronts push by the White House to cut the legs out from under its toughest critics, whether it’s the Chamber, radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh or Glenn Beck and the rest of the Fox News operation.

White House Communications Director Anita Dunn has defended the push, saying the administration made “a fundamental decision that we needed to be more aggressive in both protecting our position and in delineating our differences with those who were attacking us.”

Congressional Republicans counterattacked Thursday. House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) said the administration was “targeting those who don’t immediately fall in line” with “Chicago-style politics” aimed at “shutting the American people out and demonizing their opponents.”

Boehner’s No. 2, Minority Whip Eric Cantor (R-Va.) complained that the nation’s problems are growing while the White House “bickers with a cable news network.”

Liberal Democrats have little heartburn over the administration’s attacks on Fox and Limbaugh. But the attacks make moderates uneasy — especially when they extend to the Chamber of Commerce.

While Limbaugh and Fox commentators like Beck make no secret of their dislike for Democrats, the Chamber’s Republican lean is partially counteracted by nominal and financial support for pro-business Democrats who need to win votes from pro-business Republicans. The campaign websites of moderate Democrats from across the country are filled with endorsements from the Chamber of Commerce.

Rep. Brad Ellsworth of Indiana, for example, has this testimonial from a Chamber official on his site: “On issues ranging from lowering taxes to increasing trade, Indiana’s businesses and workers have no better friend than Brad Ellsworth.”

Ellsworth got a $5,000 campaign contribution from the Chamber in the past election.

Rep. Sanford Bishop (D-Ga.), another recipient of a Chamber contribution, said Thursday that he had no intention of stepping into the middle of a fight between the White House and the Chamber, but he did note that he had won an award for his voting record from the national Chamber of Commerce.

A senior House Democrat, speaking on the condition of anonymity while questioning the wisdom of the White House strategy, said: “I have no problem with [going after] Rush at all. I don’t have much of a problem with Fox. I think the Chamber’s another story.”

The Democrat took issue with Chamber leaders in Washington, who he said “do not do a good job of representing the interests of their members.” But he also acknowledged the benefits the Chamber’s goodwill can confer on certain segments of the caucus.

He said that the White House is trying to “take advantage of the discontent within the Chamber. Several flagship companies, including Apple and PG&E, have cut ties with the Chamber to protest its opposition to the climate change legislation that passed the House earlier this year.

Some Democratic critics of the White House attacks say it may strengthen the relationship between the Chamber and moderate Democrats in Congress, who will fast become the organization’s best hope for addressing its concerns if it is frozen out by the White House.

“I don’t think the White House’s relationship with the Chamber will have any effect on individual members’ relationships with the Chamber,” said Indiana Sen. Evan Bayh, a centrist Democrat. “I think we’ll be judged on how we conduct ourselves.”

  30. tellitlikeitis says:

It’s His Rubble Now And the American people want him to fix it.

At a certain point, a president must own a presidency. For George W. Bush that point came eight months in, when 9/11 happened. From that point on, the presidency—all his decisions, all the credit and blame for them—was his. The American people didn’t hold him responsible for what led up to 9/11, but they held him responsible for everything after it. This is part of the reason the image of him standing on the rubble of the twin towers, bullhorn in hand, on Sept.14, 2001, became an iconic one. It said: I’m owning it.

Mr. Bush surely knew from the moment he put the bullhorn down that he would be judged on everything that followed. And he has been. Early on, the American people rallied to his support, but Americans are practical people. They will support a leader when there is trouble, but there’s an unspoken demand, or rather bargain: We’re behind you, now fix this, it’s yours.

President Obama, in office a month longer than Bush was when 9/11 hit, now owns his presidency. Does he know it? He too stands on rubble, figuratively speaking—a collapsed economy, high and growing unemployment, two wars. Everyone knows what he’s standing on. You can almost see the smoke rising around him. He’s got a bullhorn in his hand every day.

It’s his now. He gets the credit and the blame. How do we know this? The American people are telling him. You can see it in the polls. That’s what his falling poll numbers are about. “It’s been almost a year, you own this. Fix it.”

    ***
The president doesn’t seem to like this moment. Who would? He and his men and women have returned to referring to what they “inherited.” And what they inherited was, truly, terrible: again, a severe economic crisis and two wars. But their recent return to this theme is unbecoming. Worse, it is politically unpersuasive. It sounds defensive, like a dodge.

The president said last week, at a San Francisco fund-raiser, that he’s busy with a “mop,” “cleaning up somebody else’s mess,” and he doesn’t enjoy “somebody sitting back and saying, ‘You’re not holding the mop the right way.'” Later, in New Orleans, he groused that reporters are always asking “Why haven’t you solved world hunger yet?” His surrogates and aides, in appearances and talk shows, have taken to remembering, sometimes at great length, the dire straits we were in when the presidency began.

This is not a sign of confidence. Nor were the president’s comments to a New York fund-raiser this week. Democrats, he said to the Democratic audience, are “an opinionated bunch.” They always have a lot of thoughts and views. Republicans, on the other hand—”the other side”—aren’t really big on independent thinking. “They just kinda sometimes do what they’re told. Democrats, ya’ll thinkin’ for yourselves.” It is never a good sign when the president gets folksy, dropping his g’s, because he is by nature not a folksy g-dropper but a coolly calibrating intellectual who is always trying to guess, as most politicians do, what normal people think. When Mr. Obama gets folksy he isn’t narrowing his distance from his audience but underlining it. He shouldn’t do this.

But the statement that Republicans just do what they’re told was like his famous explanation of unhappy voters are people who “cling to guns or religion.” (What comes over him at fund-raisers?) Both statements speaks of a political misjudgment of his opponents and his situation. They show a misdiagnosis of the opposition that is politically tin-eared. Politicians looking to win don’t patronize those they’re trying to win over.

    ***
But the point on the We Inherited a Terrible Situation and It’s Not Our Fault argument is, again, that it is worse than unbecoming. It is unpersuasive.

How do we know this? Through the polls. In all of the major surveys, the president’s popularity has gone down the past few months. A Gallup Daily Tracking Poll out this week reported Mr. Obama’s job approval dropped nine points during the third quarter of this year, that is between July 1 and Sept. 30, when it fell from 62% to 53%. It was the biggest such drop Gallup has ever measured for an elected president during the same period of his term. A Fox News poll out Thursday showed support for the president’s policies falling below 50% for the first time. Ominously for him, independents are peeling off. In 2006 and 2008 independents looked like Democrats. They were angry and frustrated by the wars, they sought to rebuke the Bush White House. Now those independents look like Republicans. They worry about joblessness, debts and deficits.

The White House sees the falling support. Thus the reminder: We faced an insuperable challenge, we’re mopping up somebody else’s mess.

The Democratic Party too sees the falling support, and is misunderstanding it. The great question they debated last week was whether the president is tough enough: Does he come across as too weak? It is true, as the cliché has it, that it’s helpful for a president to be both revered and feared. But this president is not weak, that’s not his problem. He willed himself into the presidency with an adroit reading of the lay of the land, brought together and dominated all the constituent pieces of victory, showed and shows impressive self-discipline, seems in general to stick to a course once he’s chosen it, though arguably especially when he’s wrong. His decision to let Congress write a health-care bill may yield at least the appearance of victory. And if Mr. Obama isn’t twisting arms like LBJ, and then giving just an extra little jerk to snap the rotator cuff just for fun, the case can be made that day by day he’s moving the Democrats of Congress in the historic direction he desires. All his adult life he’s played the long game, which takes patience and skill.

The problem isn’t his personality, it’s his policies. His problem isn’t what George W. Bush left but what he himself has done. It is a problem of political judgment, of putting forward bills that were deeply flawed or off-point. Bailouts, the stimulus package, cap-and-trade; turning to health care at the exact moment in history when his countrymen were turning their concerns to the economy, joblessness, debt and deficits—all of these reflect a misreading of the political terrain. They are matters of political judgment, not personality. (Republicans would best heed this as they gear up for 2010: Don’t hit him, hit his policies. That’s where the break with the people is occurring.)

The result of all this is flagging public support, a drop in the polls, and independents peeling off.

In this atmosphere, with these dynamics, Mr. Obama’s excuse-begging and defensiveness won’t work.

Everyone knows he was handed horror. They want him to fix it.

At some point, you own your presidency. At some point it’s your rubble. At some point the American people tell you it’s yours. The polls now, with the presidential approval numbers going down and the disapproval numbers going up: That’s the American people telling him.

Check this out about Guardisil vaccine, I’m glad I didn’t get it!!

Merck’s Dr. Harper told CBS News that a girl is more likely to die from an adverse reaction to Gardasil than from cervical cancer.

What would be the point in promoting the inoculation of millions of girls and women with a useless, sometimes dangerous drug? And it really is useless: Merck’s current project is to push it to pre-teen girls, but Dr. Harper pointed out that, once a girl hits puberty, any effectiveness of the vaccine disappears, and she has to start over again with the course of shots. And by the way, the efficacy of the drug in pre-teen girls hasn’t actually been tested.

One thing we know about Gardasil is that each three-dose treatment costs $360, which has helped Merck a lot. It’s been one of the company’s top-selling drugs. That has led to political contributions by Merck PACs, which helped certain politicians. After FDA approval in 2006, the company lobbied state governments all over the country to promote mandated Gardasil vaccination for 12-year-old girls. Governor Richard Perry of Texas got into trouble when it was revealed that, right before he issued an Executive Order requiring all of Texas’s 6th-grade girls to get doses of Gardasil, he and his political allies had been lobbied by Merck. He also received money from Merck’s PAC. In the uproar, the legislature passed a measure countermanding his order, and Merck announced it was canceling its 18-state “Gardasil mandate” campaign. But sales of the drug are down this year, so the company gamely mounted a “Back to School” ad campaign. (Why? To coincide with the Fall Scholastic Sex Season?)

John Yarmuth will not break from this communist agenda because he is too stupid to see that Soros and Obama are dismantling the nation.

Even when common sense points to us needing to do the exact opposite.

Deeds ignored advice, White House says
Top Democrats seek to shield Obama in case of election loss

By Rosalind S. Helderman and Anne E. Kornblut
    Washington Post Staff Writer
    Friday, October 23, 2009

Sensing that victory in the race for Virginia governor is slipping away, Democrats at the national level are laying the groundwork to blame a loss in a key swing state on a weak candidate who ran a poor campaign that failed to fully embrace President Obama until days before the election.

Senior administration officials have expressed frustration with how Democrat R. Creigh Deeds has handled his campaign for governor, refusing early offers of strategic advice and failing to reach out to several key constituencies that helped Obama win Virginia in 2008, they say.

Democratic strategists said that over the summer, Virginia Gov. Timothy M. Kaine (D) offered Deeds advice on winning a statewide election. Among other things, Kaine, who is also chairman of the Democratic National Committee, told Deeds that he should lay out more of his own vision and stop attacking Republican Robert F. McDonnell so ferociously. But Deeds did not embrace the advice, according to a national Democratic strategist.

A senior administration official said Deeds badly erred on several fronts, including not doing a better job of coordinating with the White House. “I understood in the beginning why there was some reluctance to run all around the state with Barack Obama,” said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity in order to speak candidly about the race. “You don’t do that in Virginia. But when you consider the African American turnout that they need, and then when you consider as well they’ve got a huge problem with surge voters, younger voters, we were just a natural for them.”

A second administration official, who also spoke on condition of anonymity, said: “Obama, Kaine and others had drawn a road map to victory in Virginia. Deeds chose another path.”

A loss for Deeds in Virginia — which for the first time in decades supported the Democratic presidential candidate in last year’s race — would likely be seen as a sign that Obama’s popularity is weakening in critical areas of the country. But the unusual preelection criticism could be an attempt to shield Obama from that narrative by ensuring that Deeds is blamed personally for the loss, particularly given the state’s three-decade pattern of backing candidates from the party out of power in the White House.

Deeds advisers insist the notion that he has distanced himself from Obama isn’t true. “We’ve enjoyed a tremendous relationship with the White House,” said Mo Elleithee, a campaign spokesman. “The campaign has worked very closely with them and the DNC and the [Democratic Governors Association] from the very beginning. They have given us just about everything the campaign asked for.”

    A key meeting

An adviser to the Deeds campaign said that on June 17, top campaign staffers held a meeting with the White House political team as well as representatives from the DNC and the Democratic Governors Association at the DGA’s Washington offices. They came equipped with some requests of the White House: two visits by the president before Nov. 3, e-mails from the president to his Virginia supporters and a visit from Vice President Biden. Almost all of their requests have been met, the adviser said.

But national Democrats are contrasting Deeds with New Jersey Gov. Jon S. Corzine and New York congressional candidate Bill Owens, who they say have more actively sought the White House’s help and more vigorously and publicly backed its agenda. Polls show Corzine in a competitive position in New Jersey and Owens ahead, while Deeds has turned aggressively to Obama voters in recent days in an effort to overcome a significant deficit in the polls.

Although Deeds often praises the president on the campaign trail, he has distanced himself from Obama and Democratic policy priorities at times. At a debate in September, he declined the opportunity to label himself an “Obama Democrat.” And just this week, he said he did not believe that a public health insurance option is necessary and that as governor he might consider opting out of one if Congress extends that right to states.

Deeds campaign officials said they’re running a centrist campaign, in the mold of previous successful Virginia Democrats.

Obama will campaign with Deeds in Hampton Roads on Tuesday, and his political organizing group this week sent an e-mail signed by Obama to tens of thousands of Virginia supporters asking that they volunteer for Deeds to keep “the promise of change alive” in the commonwealth. The White House also signed off on a Deeds television commercial released Thursday in which Obama praises him.

But privately, administration officials said they see almost no way for Deeds to win on Nov. 3.

Asked to respond, a senior Deeds adviser, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said: “I have no interest in doing a postmortem on a race that we’re working hard to win and that we think is still winnable. I don’t see a need for either side to be critical — we’re all fighting for the same thing.”

Kaine said he spoke at length with Obama about the race on Tuesday, and the governor rejected post-game analysis of a race he said can still be won. “You’ve got to sprint through the tape,” Kaine said. “Quite often, the successful campaign is the one that tunes out the background noise and the doubters. Every campaign has them, and you’ve got to tune them out and go for the win.”

    Wooing key Democrats

Democrats on both sides of the Potomac River cite prominent Democratic businesswoman Sheila Johnson’s endorsement of McDonnell in July as the first sign of trouble in the Deeds campaign. They say Deeds let several weeks go by after his June 9 primary without calling Johnson, the co-founder of Black Entertainment Television and one of Kaine’s leading donors.

A senior Deeds aide said that the Democrat traveled to Johnson’s Middleburg ranch in April and that the two did not hit it off. Johnson mostly wanted to talk about her opposition to labor unions, and the aide said Deeds told Johnson that he had concerns about congressional legislation that unions favored, but she seemed unhappy that he was unwilling to “trash” unions.

The campaign decided after Deeds’s primary win that the best approach was to have staffers try to set up another meeting. The aide said Deeds and staffers for Kaine’s political action committee tried to reach Johnson a dozen times but that she did not return their calls. Deeds himself did not place a call.

Johnson declined to comment, but through a spokesman said she didn’t remember when Deeds contacted her. She has been actively campaigning for McDonnell and stars in a television ad calling him the better bet to right the economy.

“She was the canary in the coal mine, not just because of how it might affect African American and women voters, but she’s politically savvy — she saw something going wrong in the campaign,” said a national Democratic strategist.

With Johnson’s defection, an endorsement from the nation’s first elected black governor, Democrat L. Douglas Wilder, became more essential.

But as late as August, Deeds’s campaign was calling around Richmond looking for a way to reach Wilder, according to a longtime state lobbyist and also Wilder’s nephew, Michael Brown.

“It was a high official within the campaign who called,” said Brown, who supports Deeds.

A Deeds adviser said the state senator placed his first post-primary call to Wilder on June 23, leaving a message, and rejected the idea that the campaign did not know how to reach him.

The White House also became deeply involved. Obama political director Patrick Gaspard spent two hours with Wilder in July trying to persuade him. Obama made a phone call. Last month, Wilder announced that he would not endorse either candidate in the race, issuing a lengthy statement largely critical of Deeds.

Ill fix it for ya dear…

  42. VotingFemale says:

Tellit, I agree with you. Also why do you think Obama tried to force Governor David Paterson not to run for office in the up coming race for Governor in New York.

  43. tellitlikeitis says:

VF, They know Patterson doesn’t have a chance. He’ll be knocked out early in the primaries probably by Mario Cuomo’s son.

I just had to add a link to your post at my blog today! You helped me correct my previous dumb idea that the Media of Mass Deception was standing up for Fox because of the free speech issue. Instead, you have rightly revealed that it was only to save the bogus POTUS’ A**!!!

  47. Foxwood says:

Doesn’t matter that we can’t find the source. If they can do it to Limbaugh, we can do it to Obutthole!

  48. VotingFemale says:

oh yeah… they were covering Obama’s backside… plus there is also this Christine:

Jake Tapper of ABC ask some real probing questions of Gibbs over the WH house declaring FOX is not a News Company… that was a dark and sinister move on the part of Obama.

Jake Tapper is now in the White House Dog house for that and is penciled in on the WH Enemies List… also the Anita Dunn video of her bragging about totally controlling the media has not gone over well with the other Media outlets. It is insulting and condescending in the extreme.

It is one thing for ABC CBS NBC AND CNN to support a DEM president… it is another to be a slave of a All Controlling Dictator telling the media what they can and can not do…

So… some of the defense of FOX was also self serving on the part of ABC CBS NBC and CNN.

    Christinewjc says

It would really make my day if Obama does something to get himself impeached. Oh no!!! That would mean plugs Biden alias gaffe boy would become president. God help us!

Be carefull, I hear mumps is running rampant in NY.

  58. tellitlikeitis says:

The difference between Obama and Biden is Obama is a smart man that acts stupidly and Biden is a stupid man who tries to act like he is a smart man.

  59. VotingFemale says:

Christine, I believe the jokers at MSNBC, left to their own devices, would follow Obama into hell, howling like the loons they are all the way into eternal damnation just so they can get their daily dose of shivers up their legs.

The rest of the Fringe Media seem to have a sense of some propriety in there somewhere, notwithstanding their worship of Obama on a daily basis. They can not help but realize their nonstop Obama worship sharpens the tongue of FOX News as the sole stand out who is serving the public interest in the role of keeping Obama honest.

Additionally, the Fringe Media can read the polls and the ratings for each of the Media channels… and can not escape the reality of people are turning away from them and towards FOX News… and why it has been happening.

It is time this slobbering love affair with Obama by the Fringe Media come to an end… and then perhaps FOX News can relax a little not being the only one of all of them to carry the water.

  80. samhenry says:

VF and FOX – thank you for your concern for my medical life – the only life I know right about now. I was able to have the REGULAR flu shot. After today, my doctor will not have any more until new supplies are made. They are distressed that when they first got this lot, no one anywhere said supplies were short so they did not prioritize people getting them. They said had they known then what they know now they would have prioritized the distribution.

That other shot, they are not sure they will get the serum for anytime soon. I cannot have it until all the kids and pregnant women who need or want it get it even though I have severe pulmonary problems and I am 67. Because I was exposed as a child, they think I may be able to get along without it but my doctors want me to have it if possible and I will get it. Several doctors I have consulted knowing the severity of my problems have said it is better for me to have it.

  81. samhenry says:

Hi, M2. I like sweet tea – does that make me a true southern lady?

  82. Foxwood says:

    Godda like bourbon also…

    🙂

  83. Foxwood says:

Well, that’s for the southern men and the saltier ladies…

  84. samhenry says:

I put bourbon in my peach and pecan pies mmmmm.

I really love rum. Pinya collada is mother’s milk to me.

I love red wine, crusty bread and unsalted butter.

I love a wee dram of Drambuie.

Now that’s the extent of my imbibing.

  85. samhenry says:

Fox, if I call you Big Daddy and run around with Spanish moss in my hair, will I be a southern lady?

  86. samhenry says:

You can tell I’m a convert to Southern ladyhood by the Sun umbrella in the stand at the front door – the front door that has a fan window.

  87. samhenry says:

You can tell I’m a southern lady by the books on my bed stand:

My favorite woman writer and do you think I can remember her name? She brings to life the very air in the room of an old Southern home. I love her short stories.

Here is a lovely quote I found:

“In the South, perhaps more than any other region, we go back to our home in dreams and memories, hoping it remains what it was on a lazy, still summer’s day twenty years ago”
    – Willie Morris

  88. Foxwood says:

I tried a Pinya Colonic once. I stay away from those health spas anymore…

Eudora Welty – that’s the name for which I was reaching. No one like her

I’m more into darker reading. As a child I liked Poe. I have a collection of Lovecraft (1930s) and Machen (1890s).

  91. samhenry says:

Geeze, FOX, I was trying so hard to prove to you that I could be a southern lady, albeit fat, that I got Spanish moss stuck between my toes.

  92. samhenry says:

Poe wrote “the Raven” at an old Dutch patroon, or estate, in Saratoga Springs called Yaddo. It was the estate of the Trask family. We Skidmore girls used to tell our dates stories about “Katrina Trask, etc.” and other family ghosts.

  93. samhenry says:

My Father and Thomas Wolfe both had the same brain surgeon at Johns Hopkins, Dr. Dandy. He was a pioneer in brain surgery. Dad had cancer of the brain; Wolfe had tuberculosis. I learned of this when I did a literature paper on Wolfe. Then I worked at Harvard and his papers, I believe, are there. Certainly an oil portrait of him by an artist in my home town is there and I was able to tell the staff at the Houghton Library about the artist. The Librarian told me a man was there doing research for a book on Dr. Dandy. The book came and and out of print before I could read it. “Dandy of Hopkins” is the title. He was apparently a very interesting personality.

  94. Foxwood says:

Machen wrote “The Great God Pan” kind of a Mary Shelly style novella about brain surgery…

I’m cooking frajita’s. That’s why it’s taking so long to get back to you, and the short comebacks…

  103. m2 says:

Oh and right now I am reading Persuasion by Jane Austen…Now Jane was a hoot (as VF might say). There’s so much subtle comedy in her characters!

  104. samhenry says:

I always liked that tune – oh H, VF. I’m trying to perfect sweet tea made with fake sugar. Not the same thing at all but have to do it.

I have a cousin who married a Carolinian and lives in Spartanburg. She likes sweet tea from just one source and when she comes up for visits, there are jugs of it in the car!

  105. samhenry says:

That there is, M2, that there is. And he wonder of it is that althought you see the occasional character dressed in military garb, there was no hint of a major war going on. Talk about subtle.

I’ll just bet Jane Austen could write a helluva book and no one would know Barack was President!

    Edgar Allen Poe: The Bells
    Date: 1845

Poe lived in the Bronx for number of years, and his house can still be visited a few blocks from Fordham, on the Grand Concourse. You could not hear the bells of University Church there now – the din of the Bronx is too great, and since the Church was only built in 1845, its bells would have had to have had a dramatic effect on Poe. Still, stranger things have happened……

    I

Hear the sledges with the bells –
    Silver bells!
What a world of merriment their melody foretells!
    How they tinkle, tinkle, tinkle,
In the icy air of night!
    While the stars that oversprinkle
All the heavens, seem to twinkle
    With a crystalline delight;
    Keeping time, time, time,
In a sort of Runic rhyme,
To the tintinnabulation that so musically wells
From the bells, bells, bells, bells,
    Bells, bells, bells –
From the jingling and the tinkling of the bells.

    II

Hear the mellow wedding bells –
    Golden bells!
What a world of happiness their harmony foretells!
Through the balmy air of night
How they ring out their delight! –
From the molten – golden notes,
    And all in tune,
    What a liquid ditty floats
To the turtle – dove that listens, while she gloats
    On the moon!
Oh, from out the sounding cells,
What a gush of euphony voluminously wells!
    How it swells!
    How it dwells
On the Future! – how it tells
    Of the rapture that impels
To the swinging and the ringing
Of the bells, bells, bells –
Of the bells, bells, bells, bells,
    Bells, bells, bells –
To the rhyming and the chiming of the bells!

    III

Hear the loud alarum bells –
    Brazen bells!
What a tale of terror, now, their turbulency tells!
In the startled ear of night
How they scream out their affright!
    Too much horrified to speak,
    They can only shriek, shriek,
    Out of tune,
In a clamorous appealing to the mercy of the fire,
In a mad expostulation with the deaf and frantic fire,
    Leaping higher, higher, higher,
    With a desperate desire,
    And a resolute endeavor
Now – now to sit, or never,
By the side of the pale – faced moon.
    Oh, the bells, bells, bells!
What a tale their terror tells
    Of Despair!
How they clang, and clash and roar!
    What a horror they outpour
On the bosom of the palpitating air!
Yet the ear, it fully knows,
    By the twanging,
    And the clanging,
    How the danger ebbs and flows;
    Yet the ear distinctly tells,
    In the jangling,
    And the wrangling,
How the danger sinks and swells,
By the sinking or the swelling in the anger of the bells –
    Of the bells –
Of the bells, bells, bells, bells,
    Bells, bells, bells –
In the clamor and the clanging of the bells!

    IV

Hear the tolling of the bells –
    Iron bells!
What a world of solemn thought their monody compels!
In the silence of the night,
    How we shiver with affright
At the melancholy menace of their tone!
    For every sound that floats
From the rust within their throats
    Is a groan.
And the people – ah, the people –
They that dwell up in the steeple,
    All alone,
    And who, tolling, tolling, tolling,
    In that muffled monotone,
Feel a glory in so rolling
On the human heart a stone –
They are neither man nor woman –
They are neither brute nor human –
    They are Ghouls: –
And their king it is who tolls: –
    And he rolls, rolls, rolls,
    Rolls
    A paean from the bells!
    And his merry bosom swells
With the paean of the bells!
    And he dances, and he yells;
    Keeping time, time, time,
In a sort of Runic rhyme,
To the paean of the bells: –
    Of the bells:
    Keeping time, time, time
In a sort of Runic rhyme,
To the throbbing of the bells –
Of the bells, bells, bells: –
To the sobbing of the bells: –
    Keeping time, time, time,
    As he knells, knells, knells,
    In a happy Runic rhyme,
To the rolling of the bells –
Of the bells, bells, bells –
To the tolling of the bells –
Of the bells, bells, bells, bells,
    Bells, bells, bells, –
To the moaning and the groaning of the bells.

Tea time. OMG I think I hear the dulcet tones of Rick Sanchez – who’s sick on CNN tonight? Now I’m sick. Now he’s talking about those pilots about over shooting the runway. He over shoots it every time he opens his mouth. Looks like he is replacing Brown.

To the God’s truth, Iah dozed off a while back! I am still a little foggy but I can still dance on them keys! OH, yez. Tea time.

In the startled ear of night

  121. samhenry says:

Sanchez is filling in for Brown and will be talking about Dick Cheyney and what he said about Obama’s dithering.

Cheyney is right but he is also blazing a trail for his daughter. She has a good cow catcher on her front so she is ok on her own, Dad.

  122. samhenry says:

Sock a little polk salad to me
you know I need a mess of it

  126. samhenry says:

    You are already a mess,FOX.

Now we have Amanpour and that Aussie reporter in his shirt du jour and

  127. samhenry says:

You all should have seen Rick Sanchez try to hold down the fort during a discussion with Christian Amanpour and that Aussie. Actually, Chriatian outclassed both of them and boy she told them both to shut up while she made her points (indirectly said shut up). It was marvelous to see. She implied we had the hearts and minds of the Afghan people and all they wanted was to be given hope and a chance and we took all of our resources and ran into Iraq. I hope we can save Afghanistan.

  128. samhenry says:

God help us, now Sanchez thinks he can help Jeff Toobin make a point. The man knows no limits.

  129. Foxwood says:

I had the hots for Christian Amanpour when I used to watch CNN ten years ago… Still hot, just wrong…

  130. samhenry says:

OMG – it’s the second coming. Sanchez is about to report on the Obama – FOX controversy and he says he will tell us why he is in FOX’s corner. OMG next will be the conversion of the Jews and he will report it followed by the rising of the dead and a mass march to the end of the universe where everyone will be treated to sweet tea, polk salad and buffalo wings.

Is Anita Dunn really a fan of Mao Tse Tung, who was one of the most prolific mass murderers of the twentieth century? Glenn Beck, quick the find anything bizarre in the Obama administration, thinks so. Joseph Lawler thinks she must be joking.

Anita Dunn did say that her two favorite political philosophers are Mother Theresa and Mao, seemingly as a joke about how very different they are, sort of like pairing Gandhi and Hitler. Then Lawler continues, taking note of the Glenn Beck video:

“But then Dunn goes into a somewhat long history of Mao and Chiang Kai Shek in 1947 that’s a little bit too bright, and little too hagiographic. It suggests that she was in fact not joking that Mao is one of her favorite political philosophers. The joke was the juxtaposition between him and Mother Teresa, not her beliefs. Her love of Mao’s political philosophy, unfortunately, doesn’t seem to be one of the speech’s jokes.”

Considering the sort of people that Barack Obama had associated with or have had working for him, from Bill Ayers to Van Jones, it may not be surprising that there is a Maoist in the Obama White House.

To suggest that idolizing Mao is kind of like idolizing Hitler is not to violate Godwin’s Law, even in spirit. According to Matthew White’s page listing twentieth century mass deaths, Hitler put an end to about forty million lives during World War II, which includes Holocaust. While Mao was in power more than twice as long as Hitler, he snuffed out the lives of fifty million human beings, without having to resort to a world war or having an industrial style genocide machine the Nazis built.

It is possible that Anita Dunn is admiring of Mao’s “achievements” while blanking out on his atrocities.

White House Communications Director Anita Dunn’s husband is emerging as the top candidate to replace Greg Craig as White House counsel, Fox News has learned.

Dunn’s husband, Bob Bauer, is President Obama’s personal lawyer and a former counsel to his campaign, as well as the top lawyer for the Democratic National Committee.

Senior White House officials declined to comment, but Democrats close to the situation said Bauer is under serious consideration to replace Craig, who is expected to leave the White House by the end of the year.

I was perusing YouTube this AM and came upon one of a favorite “hymn” of my family and all in WWII generation. It is a tune by the great English anthem writer, H. Parry, and the lyrics are from William Blake’s “Jerusalem.” It has in it the famous phrase “chariots of fire” that gave the title to that movie. It is considered England’s 2nd national anthem. Here goes.

  141. samhenry says:

“Jerusalem” also known as “and Did those Feet” was sung at my mother’s school growing up and I recall in many WWII movies of the “Mrs. Miniver” style.

    Hi folks…

So is Obmmer’s. Lawyer getting his dues for covering up is sociopath medical records, communist school papers, entrance recommendation letters and Foreign born passport?

They all must be on thorizine or whatever the Dunn takes.

  192. m2 says:

I told hubs while watching Jonah G. talk to F&F about the letter some guy sent to Barack regarding Afghanistan… They act like he actually makes “decisions”! What a laugh! Obama is a figurehead there to assauge ‘his’ people. He doesn’t make any decisions. He has a network of radicals who all at one time believe they are the brain and president. I am supposing Rahm figures he is running the show. Axlerod thinks he is. Ayers believes he is the most powerful man in the world. Soros thinks he is. Pelosi thinks she is. Jarret believes she is! And if course Obutthead thinks he is. None of them realize this about eachother.

    Why?

Because they are immature, selfish, egocentric, greedy capital A Assholes.

And thus we have the current way of governing.

What’s really funny is Barack still thinking he is the biggest man in the world without making any decisions (i.e. WORKING!)

  193. VotingFemale says:

    Good Morning M2!!

Sorta like Lindsey Lohan… he needs to give peeks at his peaks

  196. m2 says:

    Morning!

    Glenn is amazing.

And that the FBI suggests watching Beck is extraordinary. The truth.

The Obuttheads are all so superficial and lacking genuine character each one believes that ‘they’ are the most powerful man/woman in the nation/world. I wonder if that would work as well if Obutt knew he was thought of that way!

What’s hilarious is they are so devoid of goodness that they are able to operate completely unaware of their peers ambition.

This is what it looks like when Butthead makes a decision in the Oval Office:

  197. VotingFemale says:

The upside to the Obama Mob is their own bad selves… they are systematically shooting themselves in the foot on a daily basis… and why they resort to attacking their enemies as opposed to basking in the acceptance of the goodness they spread…

They are their problem… everyone else is just the messenger

wtg, CNN… your alienation of people is hilarious!

  201. m2 says:

Obama’s narcissism disorder means he does
know the others view him as a puppet to advance their influence. A lifetime of rewarded unachievement is like a NPD’s heroin.

What is also good is that the FBI is onto the communists and Beck has an op on the inside.

    That’s great news!

What would be even better is if the Clinton political machine would side with Americans and work against the communists.

I am sure George Soros is here influencing the country like this. When even quasi-socialist France banned him from the country. Shame on the Democrat party for getting in bed with the devil who’s money alone made it possible for the communists to take over our government.

Facts about Liberal Billionaire George Soros

Thanks to a Free Republic poster who posted this tonight. We have believed all along that Soros is behind the manipulation of the markets, banks, and currency to tank the United States like he tanked other countries. As a Freeper brought up about Bush and TARP it makes you wonder but not too hard when you realize that money was stolen electronically. One name comes to mind to anyone who has done any researach — George Soros.

George Soros manipulation to get Barack Obama elected and not let anything go to chance started when he made sure Obama had enough money to self fund his campaign and not take federal money even though he promised he would so they could manipulate contributions. They turned off the security numbers of prepurchased cards which is against the law and would bet money that it was Soros money who bought the cards. Their plans to take out Hillary with voter fraud in the primary but mostly in the caucus system had already been put in place. Believe the Clintons know she was robbed and Obama’s meeting with Bill Clinton was to get her the Secretary of State job that Obama’s wife did not want Hillary to have.

Then to make sure everything went smooth he set ACORN loose on America with plenty of money to make sure in close states they had enough manufactured votes to turn them Blue. Obama didn’t draw the crowds, Sarah Palin did over and over again. Her crowds were not manufactured but Obama’s were bused in sometimes from other states.

How did the GOP lose so many seats in Congress starting in 2006 — ACORN voter fraud in close elections. Soros had to have a total Democrat Congress including seeing Mickey Mouse vote in Orlando. We believe that the 2006 George Allen race in VA was stolen by ACORN. Records being recovered in several states show their plans to take over the various states and then the Country. We know Soros money is behind ACORN and their massive voter fraud effort to give Obama a filibuster proof congress. When Franken in MN came close, they manufactured more votes and got the courts to give him his uneared victory.

Now we know about ACORN voter fraud and what Soros is up to, the outcry against this Administration and their move toward socialism is only going to get worse. Americans will not take having our freeoms taken away because some powerbroker has decided his money can guy anything he wants including the Presidency and the Congress. ACORN is being investigated in the States because frankly the DOJ under Holder is not trustworthy.

Soros should be in prison for his money manipulation around the World but instead he is the puppetmaster to the Presisident of the United States. How much did Soros pay to have all the records sealed so no one would know where Obama was born, anything about his school records including if he went to college on foreign scholarships that has been alleged, and why nothing of his writings? We even found thanks to investigation by Jack Cashill ‘Dreams of my Father’ was written by Bill Ayers with some antedots in the book not even belong to Obama but what does our Obama media do? Goes MIA!

Obama may be attempting to silency the health insurance companies, Fox News and anyone who gets in his way, but the American people are not going to continue to stand to have our freedoms limited. This is America, Home of the Free and Home of the Brave and we intend to keep it that way.

Republicans, Democrats, and Independents of all walks of life, races, and backgrounds are coming together to say no to the federal takeover of everything Obama can get his hands on. Please stand up and JUST SAY NO to OBAMACARE and CAP and TRADE and start to turn this Country around in November 2010. Send the ACORN elected House and Senate members back to their respective states to the end of the umployment line as they have been bought and paid for by George Soros in our opinion. It will take six years to get all of the ACORN voter elected Senators out but we can do it. We are sick and tired of what Soros has done to the Democrat Party by using it as a front to do his dirty work and now time for all of us to work together to take back America.

Lifelong Republican but the Democrat Party was the loyal opposition until the Democrats decided to sell themselves out to have voter fraud help them win. When we say Democrats for Sale we are talking about today’s Democrats not the earlier Democrats like David Boren, Sam Nunn, Carl Albert, Sam Rayburn, and others who would stand for what is right no matter the party in days gone by. Now we are left with Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi who would sell their mothers if it gave them power. Democrats have been manipulated into giving all their power to the Progressives who want destroy America as we know it today. Know a lot of Democrats that didn’t want Obama anymore then Republicans so how did he win by so much?

Every voter list in this Country needs to be checked for fraud, motor voter done away with, and photo ID required to vote. Voting is too precious to have a group of community organizers hire people to commit voter fraud like ACORN. At least now states are starting to file charges against ACORN. We are wondering if Oklahoma’s Governor Henry and AG Edmonson will do a thing to see them prosecuted since Henry was a kneepadder for Obama. Will they put Party ahead of what is the right thing to do. Our bet is YES!

Soros’ background is frightening to say the least. This is a start on Soros but there is a lot more come on just how he bought himself a President and tanked our economy. Now we find it hard to believe that Obama will send the necessary troops to Afghanistan because Soros is against it. The jury is out whether Obama will continue to sacrifice our troops to make Soros happy.

OPPOSE OBAMA PELOSI REID CARE GET ON THE TEA PARTY EXPRESS 11 TOUR BUS KICKOFF SUNDAY OCTOBER 25 2009 San Diego, CA Los Angeles, CA

All throughout the recent Tea Party Express national bus tour we kept receiving calls from people around the nation who lived far away from the route our buses took across America. We vowed at the time to keep the Tea Party Express effort alive – and that’s exactly what we are doing.

Join us from October 25th to November 11th, 2009
as we tell Congress and the White House: “Enough!”

Let’s stand up and stop the bailouts, cap and trade, out-of-control spending, government-run healthcare, and higher taxes! We’re back and determined to take our country back!

When Barack Obama won the presidential campaign of 2008 along with sizable Democratic majorities in the House and Senate, we knew things were going to get worse for America.
We just didn’t know how bad it would be – but it’s becoming clearer and clearer with each day.

We’re under assault from liberals in Congress who have gone on a spending spree to the tune of over $10 trillion. Taxpayer-funded bailouts have been passed against our consent. Taxes are being raised. Our government is trying to run the affairs of private businesses. And now Obama-Pelosi-Reid want to have the government take over our health care choices.

Our Country Deserves Better and we ask you to join our fight for conservative beliefs as we strive to make this a better and brighter America.

    Conservatively yours,

    Hon. Howard Kaloogian, Chairman

When I lived in Tulsa, I knew all kind of Law Enforcement people. Not so much anymore. Does anyone know Law Enforcement people or Medical Emergency people to ask questions?

  240. Foxwood says:

Obutthole says this is like calling for an emergency before a hurricane.

    NO IT’S NOT!

States ask for a state of emergency from the President. This is the President calling for it. It is NOT his job!

    This stinks… something is wrong.
