Ohhhh yeah… SEIU has most definitely “Jumped The Shark.”
from Big Hollywood:
The term “Jump the Shark” has been with us for a while. The clever metaphor is used for the moment when something of cultural significance begins to lose its luster, and descends into lameness. It is a reference to the T.V. show “Happy Days,” specifically the episode when Fonzie water skied over shark infested waters. This is the precise moment where the show began to decline.
It is a virtual certainty… that there have been NO neutrally independent verified and documented evidence of any effective Financial Firewalls to separate funds within the ACORN-SEIU Complex.
Illegal transfers of Taxpayer Money from ACORN to SEIU for donations to Socialist Politician Campaigns is all but assured at this point.
Public Calls are now being made for Specific Socialist Politicians who received SEIU contributions to their campaign, to return SEIU campaign contributions back to SEIU. Let SEIU squirm in the sea of money as they are investigated by the FED and State Governments.
Foot dragging on investigations of SEIU is now a RED FLAG of collusion.
Of course SEIU will take a defensive stance.
From here: Michelle Ringuette, an SEIU spokeswoman, said the union had suspended all organizing work with Acorn, pending a review of the organization. She said Republicans are engaged in a “smear” campaign against the union.
But, there is no denying the graft and corruption of ACORN and the joined-at-the-hips financial and management relationship between ACORN and SEIU.
Let the Conservative Squeaky Wheel grease the way for SEIU Management to be put in prison and public defunding of SEIU. The Socialists will never investigate ACORN or SEIU without having their feet held to the fire of demanding public opinion that they do so. Why is that? lol
SEIU will now
“Punch Back Twice As Hard”
utilizing their well practiced
SEIU Modus Operandi

It's a "UNION THANG"; You Wouldn't Understand *cough* *cough*
ObamaCare is issue ONE for SEIU. Check out Temple of Mut’s Blogpost as action is very needed at this point in time: Temple of Mut: Next Healthcare Push – Senate Contact List Posted

Key health care vote to be delayed, sources say
WASHINGTON (CNN) — A key congressional committee vote on health care reform, originally expected as early as Tuesday, is now likely to be pushed back several days, according to two Democratic staffers.
Sen. Max Baucus has spent months working on a health care bill with others on the Senate Finance Committee.
Sen. Max Baucus has spent months working on a health care bill with others on the Senate Finance Committee.
The long-awaited vote in the Senate Finance Committee has been delayed in order to allow nonpartisan budget analysts to “score” the nearly $900 billion bill, or make sure its cost and revenue estimates are accurate.
The committee is expected to vote shortly after receiving the Congressional Budget Office analysis. While the vote could come by Friday, it may also be pushed back into next week, the staffers said.
The bill was drafted by committee chairman Sen. Max Baucus, D-Montana, after months of negotiations with five other panel members — three Republicans and two Democrats — and represents the only proposal so far with the potential to attract any Republican support.
Another Senate committee and three House committees have passed Democratic health care plans rejected by Republicans. After the Senate Finance Committee votes on its measure, the Democratic leadership in each chamber will meld together single, separate proposals for floor debate in coming weeks.
If both the House and Senate pass their respective versions, a conference committee would then negotiate a final version that would require approval from both chambers before going to President Obama for his signature.
Obama has made health care reform his top domestic priority this year. He and Democratic leaders want the bill to include a government-run public health insurance option as one choice for consumers currently unable or unwilling to obtain coverage. Republicans unanimously oppose such a plan.
Of the five proposals in Congress, only the Baucus plan lacks a public option. Instead, it would allow non-profit health care cooperatives that negotiate collective coverage for members to compete with private insurers to bring down costs for low- and middle-income Americans.

The “Concept” of a labor union is good.
The “Reality” of Labor Unions and the Gangster Management is bad.
good vs bad…
Dirty Unions rob people they are suppose to represent… now they rob tax payers and bully businesses like Chicago Thugs…
SEIU IS GOIN DOWN. MARK MY WORDS
Utube has countless pages of Union Violence videos available.
Nancy Pelosi, Union Thugs beating innocent people don’t frighten you?
Unions served they’re purpose years ago before there were Federal Labor Laws. They are now obsolete and not needed. The Mafia came to power and with them came the corruption of the Unions we see to day. Reagan had the right idea.
Acorn, SEIU, Obama, and the libs in Congress have all got to go.
HIT THE ROAD JACK, AND DON’T YA COME BACK NO MORE NO MORE, HIT THE ROAD JACK AND DON’T YOU COME BACK NO MORE.
The Conservative Blogosphere is Just as well trained, just as powerful as the SEUI…
Run SEIU Run!
The internet blood hounds are sniffing out your trail 24/7… sting operatons may have already been carried out; whistle blowers are spilling their guts… and if it can be proven anyone in the administration is culpable… it will be revealed or used as political leverage by the powers that be to bring the administration in line.
that’s politics, folks… the good, the bad, and the U.G.L.Y.
Perhaps the “urgency” felt by the Socialists, to get ObamaCare passed ASAP is also hinged on what they know and when they knew it… SEIU and ACORN are but the first of Many Socialist Controlled and Operated entities to come within the reach of We the People and Justice within the Laws of the Land. The Liberal Congress is no doubt shaking in their boots… as to how far this SEIU rat hole goes and how many other socialist rat holes will be sniffed out.
Twas the Unions that sucked the life blood out of GM, Chrysler and Ford. Yep, and everyone knows it.
Samiam, the collusion between the Administration and the UAW in the settlement of the GM & Chrysler bankruptcies is a matter of record. But they own the FED Justice System… it will have to wait until conservatives gain enough power to take them to task.

Lawmakers Lash Out at McChrystal for Stepping Outside ‘Chain of Command’
The 55-year-old top commander of U.S. forces in Afghanistan made an open appeal in London last week for increased military presence in Afghanistan and took aim at an alternative plan proposed by Vice President Biden — one that called for troop withdrawal and airstrikes against Al Qaeda targets.
Administration officials and top Democrats on Capitol Hill are suggesting that President Obama’s top commander in Afghanistan stepped “outside the chain of command” when he made a public plea last week for more troops.
Gen. Stanley McChrystal made an open appeal in London last week for increased military presence in Afghanistan and took aim at an alternative plan proposed by Vice President Biden — one that called for troop withdrawal and airstrikes against Al Qaeda targets.
“The short answer is no,” McChrystal said last week in London when asked if Biden’s approach was feasible. “A strategy that does not leave Afghanistan in a stable position is probably a short-sighted strategy.”
“I think any decision to go forward will not just be based on resources. It will be based on what are our goals. And I know people are re-looking at what our goals and objectives are, and redefining and clarifying those,” said McChrystal.
In a subsequent 66-page confidential report leaked to the Washington Post, McChrystal wrote that tens of thousands more troops are needed in Afghanistan to address a “deteriorating” security situation and maintain stability in the region. Military experts have placed that number at 40,000.
As Obama prepared to meet Tuesday with 31 members of Congress to discuss war strategy in Afghanistan, several Democratic lawmakers had lashed out at the president’s hand-picked commander for voicing his appeal so publicly.
In an interview Monday with PBS, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said McChrystal’s “recommendations to the president should go up the line of command. They shouldn’t be in press conferences.”
On Sunday, alluding to McChrystal’s remarks, National Security Adviser Gen. James Jones said “it’s better for military advice to come up through the chain of command.” Jones said McChrystal’s assessment was his “opinion,” and he said the president should be presented with options, “not just one fait accompli.”
On Monday, Defense Secretary Robert Gates said “it is imperative that all of us taking part in these deliberations — civilian and military alike — provide our best advice to the president candidly but privately.” He did not mention McChrystal’s name.
Pentagon spokesman Bryan Whitman told FOX News on Tuesday that he’s “disappointed” at the overall lack of confidentiality within the Pentagon over the Afghanistan war strategy.
“It was always the secretary’s intent to try to have these discussions to review the assessment within the chain of command and that was the design of it,” Whitman said. “That’s not how it unfolded, so I would be disingenuous if I didn’t say that it is disappointing at times as an institution that prides itself on discipline when there are individuals that violate that trust that’s placed on them.”
After his speech in London, McChrystal met privately with Obama on Friday during the president’s quick trip to Copenhagen — a meeting that White House press secretary Robert Gibbs described as constructive. Obama, who has called conflict in Afghanistan a “war of necessity,” has not committed to a troop surge.
But some leading Republicans, like Rep. Buck McKeon of California, ranking member of the Armed Services Committee, have said McChrystal is simply following the objectives and strategy put into place by Obama in March.
“McChrystal was hand-selected to implement that strategy,” McKeon told FOX News. And speaking of the president, he added: “I hope he’ll listen to his military commanders that he personally put in place.”
FOX News’ Justin Fishel contributed to this report.

DOG OVERBOARD
We Must Win in Afghanistan
For two years as a candidate, Senator Obama called for more resources for the war in Afghanistan and warned about the consequences of failure. As President, he announced a comprehensive new counterinsurgency strategy and handpicked the right general to execute it. Now General McChrystal is asking for additional troops to implement the strategy announced by President Obama in March. Hundreds of thousands of Americans have sons, daughters, fathers, mothers, sisters and brothers in harm’s way in Afghanistan right now. We owe it to all those brave Americans serving in uniform to give them the tools they need to complete their mission.
We can win in Afghanistan by helping the Afghans build a stable representative state able to defend itself. And we must do what it takes to prevail. The stakes are very high. The 9/11 attacks were planned in Afghanistan, and if we are not successful there, al Qaeda will once again find a safe haven, the Taliban will impose its cruelty on the Afghan people, and Pakistan will be less stable.
Our allies and our adversaries are watching to see if we have the staying power to protect our interests in Afghanistan. I recently joined a group of Americans in urging President Obama to devote the resources necessary in Afghanistan and pledged to support him if he made the right decision. Now is not the time for cold feet, second thoughts, or indecision — it is the time to act as commander-in-chief and approve the troops so clearly needed in Afghanistan.

Democratic Senator Takes White House to Task Over ‘Czars’
Sen. Russell Feingold, D-Wis., said Congress needs to know whether some of the czars make policy but have no obligation to submit to congressional questioning.
WASHINGTON — A liberal Democratic senator questioned the roles of Obama administration policy “czars” Tuesday, but the White House denied it is using these officials to evade congressional scrutiny.
Sen. Russell Feingold, D-Wis., said Congress needs to know whether some of the czars make policy but have no obligation to submit to congressional questioning.
While the Obama administration is hardly the first to name high-level advisers to handle issues like health care and climate change, Feingold said, “It’s not good enough to simply say, ‘Well, George Bush did it too.'”
Prior to a Senate Judiciary subcommittee hearing that featured academic experts, Feingold released a letter from White House counsel Gregory Craig that defended the officials.
Craig said some presidents have used such special advisers, or czars, to undermine Congress, but “that is simply not the case in the current administration.”
Feingold also was critical of the administration for declining to send a witness to the hearing.
“The White House decided not to accept my invitation … to explain its position on the constitutional issues we will address today,” Feingold said, referring to the Senate’s role in confirming top officials.
“That’s unfortunate. It’s also a bit ironic since one of the concerns that has been raised about these officials is that they will thwart congressional oversight of the executive branch.”
Craig’s letter broke down the roles of 18 officials questioned by members of Congress.
Eight are in federal agencies whose employees testify regularly before Congress. This group includes Richard Holbrooke, the Afghanistan czar and Ron Bloom, the car czar.
Four more are in the National Security Council, individuals who have no independent authority and whose sole function is to advise the president.
Another four are in the president’s and vice president’s offices and function as senior White House advisers on health, energy and environment, urban affairs and domestic violence. They are Lynn Rosenthal, domestic violence; Carol Browner, energy and environment; Adolfo Carrion Jr., urban affairs and Nancy-Ann DeParle, health.
Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., said the administration has created doubt about its promise of transparency. However, neither Coburn nor Feingold would criticize any specific official.
It’s not even clear what constitutes a czar.
“‘Czar’ is not an official government title of anybody; it is a vernacular of executive branch public administration,” said Bradley Patterson, a hearing witness who has served on the White House staff under Republican presidents Dwight Eisenhower, Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford.
“It is a label now used loosely hereabouts, especially by the media,” Patterson said.

Hmmm…that is something we could ‘hope’ for, but then who would take his place??? Biden? Pelagosi? I shudder to think of who they would get that might be dumber than a box of rocks….lmao
Are there no more men and women the caliber of our Founding Fathers?
At this point I would settle for Biden.
At least we would always know what he is doing and saying. lol
MORE FROM SARAH PALIN:
Further Proof of the Need for Energy Independence
The British newspaper The Independent reported today that Gulf oil producers were negotiating with Russia, China, Japan and France to replace the dollar in pricing oil with a basket of currencies.[1] According to the Wall Street Journal, Arab oil officials have denied the story, but even the possibility of such a talk weakens the dollar and renews fears about its continued viability as an international reserve currency.[2] In fact, today a United Nations official called for a new global reserve currency to replace the dollar and end our “privilege” to run up huge deficits.[3] We can see the effect of this in the price of gold, which hit a record high today in response to fears about the weakened dollar.[4]
All of this is a result of our out-of-control debt. This is why we need to rein in spending, and this is also why we need energy independence. A weakened dollar means higher commodity prices. This will make it more difficult to pay our bills – including the bill to import oil.
In his book Architects of Ruin, Peter Schweizer points out that the Obama administration is focusing soley on “green energy”, while ignoring our need to develop our domestic conventional energy resources.[5] We’re ignoring the looming crisis caused by our dependence on foreign oil. Because we’re dependent on foreign nations for our oil, we’re also at their mercy if they decide to dump the dollar as their trade currency. We can’t allow ourselves to be so vulnerable to the whims of foreign nations. That’s why we must develop our own domestic supplies of oil and gas.
Though the chant of “Drill, baby, drill” was much derided, it expressed the need to confront this issue head-on before it reaches a crisis point.
Bottom line: let’s stop digging ourselves into debt and start drilling for energy independence.
