Obama Honeymoon Officially Over; Go have Hotdogs with Sociopaths, Mr Appeaser-In-Chief

Obama? You just proved what this cartoon told the world... that it is true.

Obama? You just proved what this cartoon told the world... that it is true.

The more public sentiment astute members of White House Press Corps FINALLY ended the Obama Honeymoon yesterday.

While the Liberal Media’s own love affair is not yet over, there is now a biting public sentiment of disgust with the Liberal Media’s fawning over Barack; a fawning that is being judged for what it really is… Political Propaganda for fun and profit.

Not even Liberals’ doctored Obama Popularity Poll numbers can cover up the steadily mounting American Dissatisfaction with Obama’s Behaviors, and Dissatisfaction with the Liberal Media’s whitewashing of it.

In the end, the Liberal Media has to cut it’s losses and stop publicly drooling over Obama like school girls at a rock concert. It is already too late for ABC and NBC/MSNBC. They are now considered nothing more than Socialist Tabloid Propaganda Machines and most of America now “Gets It.”

And… when asked whether the unrelenting and continuing deadly Iranian Islamic Government Attacks on it’s citizens was to be ignored in favor of going ahead with Obama’s Islamic Thug Diplomacy of inviting the Representatives of Iranian Islamic Sociopath Killers to celebrate the 4th of July at US Embassies World Wide, Obama had nothing to say on the matter… a complete ignoring of the question altogether.

It seems to me, Obama is bent on proving he has no understanding of Americans… and is instead a product of Socialist Brainwashing to which he has been subjected  since childhood.

Obama is a product of that which hates what America stands for and, taken in that light, it explains so many things he says and does.

Let’s take a look at what is being reported about the end of Obama’s honeymoon with America…

For President Obama, the honeymoon is officially over

Michael Goodwin

One job of journalists is, to borrow a horse racing phrase, to “call the turns” of developing news. Yesterday, the White House press corps called the end of the Obama honeymoon.

By peppering the President with forceful questions on Iran and other big topics and by challenging some of his slippery answers, reporters captured the changing tone in the country. Like the end of a real honeymoon, blind infatuation is giving way to a more accurate view of reality.

The reality is that polls show rising doubt about President Obama‘s handling of the economy and wide disapproval about exploding deficits. The reality is that even many Democrats worry the White House health plan is messy and unaffordable. The reality is that ranks of independents who voted for him find Obama far more liberal than they expected.

It’s also true that many news organizations have embarrassed themselves with fawning Obama coverage and are the subject of growing ridicule, including from Obama himself.

Those facts all probably played a role in the unprecedentedly aggressive tone of yesterday’s news conference. More than anything else, Iran – where the President had been a timid fence-sitter while a democracy revolution was blooming, then being crushed by a thugocracy – galvanized the press to probe. Six of the 13 questions dealt with Iran.

“What took you so long?” was the most important one asked of the Obama presidency. It came from reporter Major Garrett of Fox News (where I am a contributor) and put an exclamation point on the President’s failure to respond sooner with appropriate condemnation.

Obama finally found his voice yesterday, saying in his strongest language yet that the world was “appalled and outraged” at the violence against demonstrators. And in calling the video showing the death of Iranian icon Neda Soltan “heartbreaking,” Obama succinctly expressed the world’s emotion.

But in answering Garrett’s question with nonsensical insistence he had been consistent, the President damaged his credibility and missed a chance to explain how his thinking has evolved since the June 12 election.

He blew another chance when a reporter asked whether criticism by Sen. John McCain and other Republicans had forced the tougher stance. “What do you think?” he said, getting defensive and saying, “Only I am the President of the United States.”

It’s a bad habit, a sign of weakness, to pull rank, yet this White House does it repeatedly. Obama brushed back calls for changes in stimulus spending by saying, “I won,” and his press secretary said, “We won,” just the other day to a question.

The notion that victory carries a blank check is fantasy. Especially in a polarized country with a nonstop media blitz, a mandate must be re-won on every major issue.

Obama knows as much, which is why he has been running a continuing campaign since the inauguration. Whether he’s conducting town hall meetings in St. Louis or France or asking for prime-time coverage, Obama uses the bully pulpit and his charisma to aggressively push his agenda.

By and large, the approach has worked. Thanks to full Democratic control of Congress, Obama mostly gets his way, and his personal popularity has remained strong.

But his health plan could be in trouble over the cost and impact, and unemployment keeps rising beyond White House estimates, a fact the President conceded yesterday. He also conceded that stimulus spending has been slower than he wants, which I took as a jab at Vice President Biden‘s supposed management of the issue.

The result is that the public hasn’t seen much economic gain and, combined with the growing debts and prohibitive costs of Obama’s health and energy plans, voters are getting significantly more skeptical about the President. Iran added to the doubts.

The press corps gets it. For Obama, the hard part begins now.

  36. Foxwood says:

Obama’s Speech, Cairo Egypt, June 4 2009 with comments added

I know I know there has been controversy about the promotion of democracy in recent years, and much of this controversy is connected to the war in Iraq. So let me be clear: No system of government can or should be imposed by one nation by any other.

Hasn’t it been our policy for years to stop Socialism/Communism. Democracies and Republics do not war each other. Oh, that’s right. O embraces Socialism/Communism now. An imposition? Do you believe the people of oppressed nations like being oppressed?

And let’s talk Iraq. The Dems voted for war with Iraq. Don’t rewrite history O. The Dems got the same info Bush did.

That does not lessen my commitment, however, to governments that reflect the will of the people. Each nation gives life to this principle in its own way, grounded in the traditions of its own people. America does not presume to know what is best for everyone, just as we would not presume to pick the outcome of a peaceful election.

We know that Socialism/Communism doesn’t work. No Socialist/Communist country has ever had a great economy. Russia and China tell us this, but O doesn’t listen. Example: The USSR. Well O isn’t listening, he wants the USSA.

Pick the outcome of a peaceful election? When have we ever done that? And do you call stealing an election an election? Iran’s election was stolen. Not that you care. So was ours. That’s why you sit and watch the peaceful rallies as civilians get shot down. Could be you hope it ends soon, because American citizens see the future.

    But I do have an unyielding belief that all people yearn for certain things: the ability to speak your mind and have a say in how you are governed;

    Oh yeah?

    confidence in the rule of law and the equal administration of justice;

    BULLCRAP!

    government that is transparent and doesn’t steal from the people;

    Again, BULLCRAP!

the freedom to live as you choose.

    And again, BULLCRAP!

These are not just American ideas; they are human rights. And that is why we will support them everywhere.

    When? I doubt it.

Now, there is no straight line to realize this promise. But this much is clear: Governments that protect these rights are ultimately more stable, successful and secure.

Right, your protecting our rights? It’s ok to take away our rights if your a Liberal, but if your a Progressive Conservative, it’s a crime. Talk out of both sides of your mouth, why don’t you!

Suppressing ideas never succeeds in making them go away.

You don’t believe that! The Fairness Doctrine? Localism?

America respects the right of all peaceful and law-abiding voices to be heard around the world, even if we disagree with them. And we will welcome all elected, peaceful governments provided they govern with respect for all their people.

BULLCRAP! Especially if you disagree with them in your own country.

This last point is important because there are some who advocate for democracy only when they’re out of power; once in power, they are ruthless in suppressing the rights of others.

    Look at yourself, hypocrite.

So no matter where it takes hold, government of the people and by the people sets a single standard for all who would hold power:

You speak from the Constitution so well, but because you know most sheeple have not, will not, and have not been taught the Constitution, you can sound good using it and bastardizing it.

    You must maintain your power through consent, not coercion;

    Walk the walk!

you must respect the rights of minorities,

But it’s ok to force that excrement sandwich down the majorities throats, you piece of sh!t.

    and participate with a spirit of tolerance and compromise;

    Where’s the tolerance and compromise?

you must place the interests of your people and the legitimate workings of the political process above your party.

    Again, when?

Without these ingredients, elections alone do not make true democracy.

    I guess we know now.

thanks sh, I actually just redid it because the few small flaws that could be fixed without much trouble bugged me, so I fixed them. It’s still not perfect, but I think it gets the message across. This is a clear violation of the Clean Water Act. There was no justification to use the term “fill” for the mine tailings. The judges must have trouble sleeping at night. They voted for industry, jobs and Sarah Palin while they disregarded the law and allowed a lake to be destroyed. Shame, shame, shame.

sh, to embed where? Just post a link from youtube here and it embeds.

Obama to Return U.S. Ambassadors to Syria, Venezuela
Sources say the diplomatic effort with Syria includes a quiet campaign by the Obama administration to “bring Hamas into the (peace) process.”
    By James Rosen

    FOXNews.com

    Wednesday, June 24, 2009

The Obama administration has decided to return an ambassador to both Venezuela and Syria after a diplomatic hiatus with both countries, FOX News confirmed Wednesday.

The United States and Venezuela have been working to reinstate ambassadors to each other’s capitals since Secretary of State Hillary Clinton met with Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez in April at the Summit of the Americas, a State Department official said. The move would reverse a tit-for-tat the countries had last year, when Venezuela kicked out the U.S. ambassador and the United States did the same to Venezuela’s envoy.

“The necessary measures are being taken” to return the diplomats to their posts, the official said. “It’s in the best interests of both countries.”

The diplomatic freeze with Syria dates back much further, and a restoration of ties with the Middle Eastern country is seen as part of a broader effort to achieve a comprehensive peace between Arabs and Israelis in the region.

This diplomatic effort is said by knowledgeable sources to include a quiet campaign by the Obama administration to “bring Hamas into the (peace) process.”

The decision to return an ambassador to Syria was reached late Tuesday in a “deputies meeting” at the White House, a State Department official told FOX News. Jeffrey Feltman, acting assistant secretary of state for Near Eastern Affairs, informed Syria’s ambassador to the United States of the decision to restore an ambassador Tuesday night.

  56. rosehips says:

Thanks foxy, but don’t you think they are disregarding the law? that is even a bigger issue, imo.
I don’t think that calling the waste “fill” is legal. I think the justices should have acknowledged that. I think that is blatant disregard for the law. That pisses me off!

  58. rosehips says:

I don’t know what will happen in Iran. I think maybe McCain is right about sanctions. It will be hard on the people, but maybe it will be effective. It worked in South Africa, but it took time. It will be a big decision to go from possible diplomacy and move to an absolute adversarial relationship. We don’t have the influence we once had, regardless of whose fault that is. We are slipping. I think part of the reason is the divisiveness within our country.
    what’s the saying? a house divided….

  71. VotingFemale says:

Since every situation has two sides to the story, here are some facts about the Kensington mine.

Kensington Gold Mine – Tailings Fact Sheet

    • Fact: The Kensington Mine Lower Slate Lake Tailings project is the environmentally preferred alternative.

    • Fact: 40% of the tailings will be placed back underground using a paste backfill process.

    • Fact: The ecological risk assessment completed by the U.S. Forest Service and the Environmental Protection Agency concluded once mining is complete, the overall productivity of the closed tailings facility following reclamation and enhancement would be higher than currently present in Lower Slate Lake. The higher productivity should provide better long-term conditions for Dolly Varden char than currently exist in Lower Slate Lake.

    • Fact: Tailings are the talcum-sized materials that remain after gold and other metals are removed. At this point, the tailings have less metal content than the natural soils or the native lake sediments.

    • Fact: This material is very similar to the glacial silt being naturally discharged into Berners Bay. During the ten year mine life, glaciers will deposit about 74.9 million tons of silt into the waters of Berners Bay. The amount of tailings that will be placed and contained in the tailings impoundment during that same period is 3.15 million tons.

    • Fact: At closure and following reclamation, Lower Slate Lake will be almost three times bigger with productive wetland and open water habitat – a temporary use that will result in a net environmental benefit.

    • Fact: The Lower Slate Lake site will temporarily fill 23 acres of wetlands or other waters. At closure and following reclamation, only 3.5 acres of wetlands will be affected. The dry stack alternative would permanently convert 113 acres of wetlands and other special aquatic sites to dry land. Slate Lake has less environmental impacts.

    • Fact: Consistent with the Clean Water Act, the placement of these tailings in Lower Slate Lake has been approved and permitted by the Corps of Engineers, the EPA and the State of Alaska.

    • Fact: The Lower Slate Lake alternative would result in the smallest environmental footprint, using less than half the energy required for the dry tailings alternative.

    • Fact: This approval is consistent with the 1000’s of similar permits issued by the Corps for placement of material in wetlands or other waters in Alaska each year; for example, for road building, parking lots, and residential and commercial building.

    • Fact: The natural water of Lower Slate Lake does not currently meet state water quality standards. During operation, the naturally occurring elevated metals will be treated and the discharge to Lower Slate Creek will meet all federal and State of Alaska water quality standards.

Hello everybody. I’ve been so busy these past couple of days! I did hear that Obama invited the Iranian government to his 4th of July party… Didn’t Obama say yesterday that he would not do that?? What is he thinking??? He must be thinking about that 3rd stimulus package!

  77. uh oh, there’s karma, shhhhh

    hahahahahaha rofl

  78. karmahd says:

OK what are we talking about??? I digress, the honeymoon is over, and the more people question Bomwow, the more frustrated and insecure he is going to get. Basically fewer are buying the bully pulpit bull shit. Yipiee there is common sense in America!!

  83. rosehips says:

VF, lol @ the car dealership vid. I think I will have to pick my topics carefully. I spent hours on that vid and hardly anyone has viewed it. Maybe when girl scout cookie season comes back around, I’ll make one about them. hahaha

VF, I could dispute a number of the “facts” you stated. I agree with some of them. I didn’t think you wanted to debate this issue again, so I think I will just say that some of your facts are inaccurate.

  84. Foxwood says:

Karma said”Do you know there is major behind the scenes work being done to rewrite the constitution by the governing party??”

    Yes, unfortunately.

  85. rosehips says:

but thanks for the complement on the vid vf. I appreciate it.

I think the best place for gold is in the ground. I don’t think the environmental consequences are worth the jobs the mining operation creates. The stockholders for Coeur Alaska will profit the most from this ruling. Good time to buy stock, eh?

We have plenty of gold already. Mining more deflates the value of the gold that everyone is hoarding.
What is gold really necessary for anyway?

  86. samhenry says:

VF, Belle, WG Rose and whoever is floating on the blog or above it – good evening. This is a flyby.

CNN has just reported that the weeks before the Iranian revolution, President Obama sent a letter to the Ayatollah but did not receive a reply. Oh dear, we need a little return visit from Elvis – he’s in the building Worse, Lou Dobbs just said he had invited Iran to come on the show anytime. Sadly, these people are serious.

  87. ohiobelle says:

Make sure to watch O’Reilly tonight at 8:00! I think it’s round two with Barney Fudd!! lol

  90. Foxwood says:

I have to get ready for bed SamH, I have to work tonight. I’m not sure what Karma has, but the Fairness Doctrine and Localism will put a stop to “freedom of the Press”. That’s the 1st Amendment. I just wrote about that last week.

“Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness” or Property, was undone with the Barack Bankruptcies. That’s the 5 Amendment.

McCain-Fiengold also put a hit on the 1st amendment.

I really suggest everyone get a pocket Constitution from the Heritage Foundation.

Amen on that video. I didnt know China had not been invited. Considering all that money China loaned us, the least Obama could do was offer them a fricking hot dog.

Obama acts like he lacks manners. Look how cheap he was w/GB (cheesy CD’s & a common Ipod).

  93. SamHenry!!! girl you are too funny! Great Video! shoot off a bunch of rockets and make a little stink! hahaha ok really he didn’t invite China? what? SH to Obama, check with your mother [the next time you go to do something stupid!!!] SH, I know you didn’t say [what is in here] I did! Your evil twin! ahhahaha

  94. yes arlenearmy, you are not kidding, he has totally pooped on GB, another embarrassment.

    Imagine that…

  95. samhenry says:

Hi Arlene – thanks to my female colleagues for their kind remarks on the vid.

  98. samhenry says:

Nah, Fox – you’re musty; Kim Jong-il is stinky.

  99. samhenry says:

Thanks for getting me off the computer and into bed last night Arlene. I am going to try to do that every night. I slept pretty well and was up early – best for me.

I’m signing off for a while. I really have to get some stuff done.

    Dog overboard.

  103. hahahaahahahahahaahah

  104. Hey girls! I love that post on the Obama Voodoo doll!

The WH was short w/ Garrett. But Garrett has a job to do. Since Obama had already slammed Foxnews, Garrett figured he had nothing to lose. I noticed that Obama or Gibbs got short w/ Chuck Todd (I think that’s his name).

Also, that Huffington Blogger gets a pass. VF, since you are also a blogger, I think you & other bloggers need to go to those WH press briefings & demand to be brought to front of the room.

  107. arlenearmy says:

Well Obama is from that neck of the woods where Voodoo is practiced. And Im not talking about Nebraska, Hawaii or Chicago. I’m talking about Kenya & surrounding area. He could be working this or maybe a”worker” doing this for him. Maybe a relative. But somebody is working it.

Don’t get me wrong, I think Sarkosy is practicing this also.

I don’t wanna sound superstitious. But in the news the other day, a group of folks were still chanting “Yes We Can”. Look at what ABC is doing ! Chris Matthews !! Killings going on in Iran before our very eyes !! A whole bunch of strange stuff is happening. We don’t know what Obama got going on in that WH.

I know some folks are probably saying Im going over the top w/this theory. I say that there is no logical explanation for what’s going on. What else could it be folks. In my heart, I know I’m right.

You have three schools of thought, Originalism, to revisionism to middle of the road adapting and adding text, here is a link for your review.

  119. samhenry says:

CNN has a video in which someone is commenting on Citi Bank’s loss of staff due to reduced salaries and bonuses: “If they want to leave for these reasons, then they belong in a private company.” OOPS – Citi according to the Government that reiterated it, is only 1/3 owned by taxpayers.

Citi may have come out with plans for a 50% increase in the salaries for key people knowing that would not fly but negotiation could still make it substantial. The problem is the: with out eyes turned by other Obama initiatives, this important area of both bailout monies and government oversight has not got enough of our attention to make a difference.

  120. samhenry says:

No one knows better than SamHenry about burying a bone. First you dig furiously with dirt flying everywhere. Sometimes you can catch a dog burying a bone; sometimes you can’t. It is not something they like to make public. They don’t want people or other canines to see the act and know the bone location.

Obama has a big pile of bones – lots of pending legislation and regulation – that threaten to change our way of doing things if not change our way of life. He has so much going on at one time, he is playing fox with the American public.

By the time the initial shock and awe he generates regarding the bone for one subject, he is on to another while the public linger over another bone burial site struggling to retrieve that bone and put their own views in play, the President is furtively and furiously burying yet another bone. Kicking up the dirt while creating a burial site may also have blinded on lookers. Think of all the legislation in key areas such as journalism that are difficult to find in the process of formulating the the bills when they come out of Committee. Some are not posted. Some are difficult for representatives to locate for adequate time for view.

  121. samhenry says:

IMO the bloggers divide certain subject area to be the primary reporter (others may comment per current practive).

On Lou Dobbs tonight professional journalists say the definition of a journalist is changing. Bloggers are not credited with doing an even more expanded job of bringing news to the population. Dobbs said bloggers provide a link back to the origin of the subjectl

Here is a comment last evening from a visitor here who goes by ‘Dave.’

Dave? I will allow you to comment here but you first need your own blog… need some skin in the game. You can go to http://wordpress.com and create your blog within a few minutes.

In the mean time I will repost your comment for people to read…

    Author : Dave
Comment: Standard argument: what good is the latest high tech medical treatment if only the rich can afford it?

Answer1: In a socialist system, there is no motivation to create new, innovative treatments because there is no financial benefit. If you get paid the same anyway, why bother?

Answer2: New, expensive treatments do not stay that way in a capitalist system. The price is driven down over time due to competition. The more people you can offer the treatment to, the more money you make. Examples? Lasik vision correction and MRI’s (and countless others). Under socialism, these treatments would never see the light of day because they would be considered “too expensive” by the government and would never be improved and refined.

I would encourage the pro-socialists in this forum to please open you minds to the common sense of all this. Socialist health care systems are failing everywhere they are tried and the citizens are not better served. Please do not just blindly walk into this one. You do not want to hand over your life (health) to the same politicians that raided the social security trust funds in order to pay for pet projects. They do not care that the taxpayer is hurt, they only care about themselves. We should be talking about how to dismantle all these failed systems and close them forever, not create new ones.

  131. samhenry says:

Like Fox, VF, I really need to get back to bed. Dogs had me up at 4:30. Need to rack up 4 more hours.

Dog overboard for sure – later….

  132. VotingFemale says:

    Sleep well Fox…

see you when you get back Samh…

  133. samhenry says:

    Again I return for comment.

The pharma companies many of whom make some medical devices spend a lot of money in development. Not all of what they research comes to fruition. This is one reason initial costs are high.

I would imagine if GE were investing in a new imaging device that the argument would be the same.

As a conservlib, and I have pragmatic approaches to these subjects.

Under socialized medicine, the diagnostic equipment available to “the rich” will also be available to the poor IF their doctors agree this kind of diagnosis is needed and that doctors at
    medicare concur.

Right now, different states are handling medical care for the public in a variety of ways.

Implementation of a public health care system will be awkward.

Noteworthy is the fact that Medicare does not cover subscribers if they leave the country. That is a big gap that needs to be considered.

  134. samhenry says:

There are costs not considered for current rush to legislate:

    Administrative
    Long Term Care

Currently, long term care insurance companies have varying degrees of coverage and cost.

Nothing is free. Taxs will go up to pay for this cradle to grave coverage – and for recipients as well. Currently my medicare coverge has a deductible of about @1200 per year.

In addition to demanding to see paperwork from the time this legislation was drafted we should look into the marital status of the senators/congressmen drafting it. LOL

  135. samhenry says:

And now – execution of sleep plans.

  136. karmahd says:

Boy oh boy you guys have some strange hours!! Anytime you socialize anything you take the incentive for excellence out! You will get what you get and be happy for it, I thought the few questions I did see last night that Bomwow was not articulate, and even Sawyer kind of nailed him on the Mayo Clinic issue, where they are providing the best care for generally lower prices. And Good to see LISA, great vids, as usual hi and bye, to all Karma

I was a perfect candidate for lasik surgery. Yeah, it was expensive. I was charged for each eye, including refinement. But I paid for it. I did not expect anyone to give me a hand-out. Until I got the money for that surgery, I did like other folks have done …. BUY EYE GLASSES.
