Pelosi Approved Waterboarding; Proof? Dems block Pelosi-CIA inquiry

The Pelosi Waterboard Lie

The Socialist two-faced lying revisionist, Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi out right lied to the Nation in order to launch a witch hunt against the Bush Administration for political purposes when in fact, Pelosi approved of water boarding and was fully informed of plans to use water boarding, that water boarding was being used.

The proof Pelosi lied and falsely attacked the CIA stating the CIA lied to her has now been shown.

The DEMs voted down a “Truth Commission” to investigate Speaker Pelosi and her lies.

Let’s see what is being reported…

Dems table Pelosi-CIA inquiry

By PATRICK O’CONNOR | 6/16/09 2:24 PM EDT
Updated: 6/16/09 4:38 PM EDT

Republicans aren’t letting go of the Nancy Pelosi-CIA flap.

This afternoon, the House GOP drafted a privileged resolution that would establish a select subcommittee under the Intelligence Committee to “review and verify the accuracy of the speaker’s aforementioned public statements.” Democrats quickly tabled the resolution on a 247-171 party line vote. No Democrats crossed party lines to vote with Republicans on this resolution.

Republicans wanted to create a special committee that would be comprised of four members of the Intelligence Committee  — two appointed by the chairman and two appointed by the ranking Republican on the panel. The subcommittee would have subpoena power for documents and testimony and be forced to report its findings in 60 calendar days.

Because Republicans packaged this legislation as a privileged resolution, the House was forced to vote on it, but Democrats decided they would back their speaker – many Democrats have dismissed these GOP resolutions as purely political.

“I am disappointed that, once again, rank-and-file Democrats have refused to join Republicans in establishing a bipartisan investigation into these serious allegations,” Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) said.

Yesterday there was additional concern about “air Pelosi.” She was heard to say defensively that if a military plane were going where she would, sorry boys, but she’d be on it. Okay, resolution of the Pelosi problem is within our reach. Convince her that a hired plane is filling in for military aircraft – off you go and you can leave her where it will take her a long time to walk into town.

Meanwhile, every time she gets on TV and puts down Republicans for moving to investigate her, her hair and nails are perfection. This means she is in it for the long term.

Cheney and Pelosi Have Poor Ratings in Common
Pelosi’s ratings down, while Cheney’s improved from record low
    by Lydia Saad

PRINCETON, NJ — Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and former Vice President Dick Cheney have little in common politically, but they receive almost identical image ratings from the American public. According to a May 29-31 Gallup Poll, 37% of Americans have a favorable view of Cheney and 34% have a favorable view of Pelosi. Both Cheney and Pelosi are viewed unfavorably by at least half of Americans.

    7g23qc87xuwvgpkydlylyq

The similarity between Cheney’s and Pelosi’s ratings is notable given that the two have emerged as the leading voices on either side of this year’s debate over whether the government’s use of “enhanced interrogation techniques” against terrorist suspects constitutes torture.

Obama can never win can he? For once a President is standing up to corporate America and saying “Hold On!”

Do we really want advertisers to be allowed to make false claims? Why will noone but sh speak out and admit to just one thing that Obama is possibly doing for the interests of Americans.

The stuff about the VA doctors prescribing dietary solutions to medical problems confuses me. These doctors are trying to save tax money by advises prevention through diet. But Americans will object because they are programmed to believe the answers to our health problems are all at the drugstore. The pharmacists are licking their licks and the doctors arse’s to get customers in their doors to make them more profits.
If you get the sniffles do you expect the doctor to prescribe you antibiotics, just in case?

I am glad to see Obama calling doctors out about the liberal way they prescribe meds. This is a major health care cost that is being manipulated by advertisers, pharmaceutical companies, and doctors.

And a major crisis in Iran and NO KO. This all leads me to the conclusion that, POLITICIANS SUCK!!!

  50. rosehips says:

We will never solve our health care problems without using common sense. Good diet=prevention=lower costs.

A single payer system is the best solution but Obama won’t do it because too many profiteers have Americans by the balls, and they are gently stroking them to get the maximum effect: a collective scream regaling what every other industrialized country provides for its people: universal health care.

  51. rosehips says:

Americans are fat and lazy and want a health pill they don’t want to work out and eat right to be healthy so I would not hold out for prevention

  58. Foxwood says:

  63. karmahd says:

This whole argument Rose and Fox is do you trust the intelligence of the people or does the government have to MANDATE to its people what is right?? Are we that stupid that we think Cherrios will be our life saver if we eat it, NOOOOO

  64. samhenry says:

Dog yelling from shore at friends on mothership: Hi Karm. I’m all for that pill.

Fox, the FDA does not regulate the entire market system – only areas that affect what we eat or put on that largest of organs – the skin. Believe me, in the bad old days, a company added a poisonous substance to cough syrup by mistake. Those two most fragile sectors of the population were effected – children and the elderly – they died.

As for foods, we have clean (relatively) food markets thank to FDA rules and regs.

The FDA was set up under a law; they are authorized to create regulations in their area: Drugs, cosmetics and foods (primarily processed).

  65. Foxwood says:

“Why shouldn’t doctors prescribe medications that they know won’t be effective but will help drug companies who they are in bed with?”

    With BIG Government? Naw.

  66. Foxwood says:

Government is as corrupt as you say business is.

  67. karmahd says:

Back to Pelosi, the scourge of reason, and lier who to cover her ass threw the CIA under the bus, now that was one stupid move!! They have more shit on her or are in the process of leaking it if she does not retract, I hope she does not retract her statement, I want to see the covert forces of the CIA pick her apart slowly

  68. rosehips says:

foxy, wish it worked that way. You don’t pay more for the care, your insurance company does and their answer is to raise everyone’s insurance rates. Have you heard rates have risen quite a bit over the past few decades? Do you know how many families are priced out of the market because they can’t afford hc insurance? Do you really think our current system works for the average American? Know anyone who had insurance, got sick, went bankrupt? Try talking to someone like that and explain how our system is so superior to other industrialized countries.

  69. samhenry says:

Other agencies created by acts of Congress (FAA, etc) were set up to ensure the safety and well-being of the citizenry. They do not get into business practices that do not effect public safety. In short the purpose is not to regulate to squash competition, etc. but to protect the public safety.

  70. karmahd says:

  73. samhenry says:

No, they are restricted under the law from acting in any other areas and in that manner.

The FDA does not want to take over Cherrios. They want Cherrios to change the wording on their box so that it does not make a claim that it causes changes in the human body. Wording that says “may” or something like that. Believe me, the FDA does not have money or personnel to run companies. They want our drugs, for instance, to be competitive and safety is a big factor after efficacy that does that. You would not want to be paying for drugs that are neither safe nor effective.

  74. karmahd says:

Well SH on the business aspect, you have this thing called lobbyist, and they have a way of convincing the FDA and other politicians to do things that jussssst might not be in the best interests of the people with this little thing called MONEY! If they were altruistic and cared I would be a little less concerned

  75. samhenry says:

Karm – there are always pressures – there are plenty from the companies themselves whose products they review for safety and efficacy. Lobbyiests have little sway here because of how the regs are set up. Regulations are regulations and deviation from them is easily detected. There is nothing it it for the FDA to be anything other than an agency of protection. You see, other companies watch what they do and if there is favoritism, these other companies would go out after them.

karma, good to see you my man. Unfortunately I think that Americans are stupid enough to believe that Cheerios will lower cholesterol if it says so on the box. Well, some Americans will. I think SH has very, very valid points and Obama has made a wise decision to stop the false claims. He is not restricting our choice of breakfast cereal. I can eat whatever I want for breakfast. I can even drink breakfast if I want, which is what I may start doing. I love a good beer buzz early in the morning….

  79. Foxwood says:

“I think that Americans are stupid enough to believe that Cheerios will lower cholesterol if it says so on the box.”

But because Oats so reduce points. there is nothing wrong. It’s not stupid. BTW, I don’t like oats.

  80. Foxwood says:

I agree Rose. Insureance is done Wrong, But Government is not the answer.

  81. samhenry says:

  85. samhenry says:

Final word Karm since you brought up the subject:
Karm said: they have a way of convincing the FDA and other politicians to do things that jussssst might not be in the best interests of the people with this little thing called MONEY.

Most reviewers at Drug divisions are physicians and pharmacists – people appropriate to the review process. The same for cosmetics and foods. They aren’t “civilians.”

Sorry to carry on about this VF and Karm – I want people reading this to know that Obama is not taking advantage of the system – no President can. He is just asking for the FDA to be more assertive – but O, that will take more staff and $$$$$$$$$$.

  86. karmahd says:

  89. karmahd says:

Not disagreeing with you SH, my point is his time could be spent in more productive manner and to hit the press with this is a distraction in a time when Obamawow is trying to implement other more socialistic programs, his propaganda team is creating little fires all over to distract from ROME burning down…

  90. rosehips says:

thanks for sharing that vid vf. It is sobering to see what is happening to people who are expressing their outrage. It’s another Tinnamin Square and I fear the results for the good people of Iran.
Did anyone expect any other results? It was pretty predictable that the election would be a sham. I didn’t realize so many people would brave the streets to rally like they did and I have high regard for the protesters. It is no surprise that they are now being gunned down. very sad.

  91. Foxwood says:

BTW, to keep me healthy I’m having bacon, sausage and eggs for breakfast.

  92. Foxwood says:

  93. karmahd says:

Rose like all governments when the voice of the people desires to be heard they will do so at all costs. The reality is the government is really at the will of the people who out number them usually a 1000 fold, the front line people will give there life if the wave continues, but if the ranks break, then you have a shit storm and eradication of the source. Go freedom seekers of Iran…..

  94. samhenry says:

Karm – Last night in agreement with you I mentioned that Obama and Co are going swiftly into many areas concurrently and this activity could be diverting us from focusing on something.

  95. Foxwood says:

“Obamawow is trying to implement other more socialistic programs, his propaganda team is creating little fires all over to distract from ROME burning down…”

Right out of Rules for Radicals.

  96. karmahd says:

Sorry Samhenry, last night I was numbingly tired and did not read nor have the ability to put a coherent thought out for public consumption, thus the Snidley Whiplast cartoon had to speak my mind.

  97. karmahd says:

EXACTLY Foxwood, that was my point on the propaganda

  98. Foxwood says:

Obama has done his homework well. Just at the cost of our security.

  99. samhenry says:

Great Vids., VF. Am watching FOX and there are clerics in the crowds. I read where there would be.

There are reports gas prices will go up if this continues. I for one am willing to pay the price for freedom for my fellow world cits. Persia is making a comeback. I hope Iran will die like the Soviet Union that reverted back to recognizable countries. HELLO ROSIE – forgot to greet you and thanks for the kind words about my FDA reports.

  100. rosehips says:

karma, I think Obama is spending a lot of time on health care issue because it is a top priority for many, many Americans. I realize that people who currently have health insurance don’t see what the big deal is, but companies are closing down because of the costs of insurance for their employees, people have to decide between paying their mortgage or paying their insurance premiums, and many Americans are going bankrupt due to health care costs.

I don’t think Obama really spent that much time on the Cheerio issue. He does have folks at the FDA that take care of that for him.

There are many issues that the President must address as we the people demand answers and action. I am glad that Obama is responding in a way that no other President ever has. Of course he doesn’t have it all right. I am opposed to his energy plan. They are now gearing up to issue licenses for new construction of nuke power plants. At the same time we are learning that the nuke companies haven’t put aside money to dismantle defunct plants. Who will bail them out for these costs? The gov’t better not. But if your energy bill rises due to the cost of dismantling the plants, remember how cheap nukes are said to be. Remember when they told us nuclear power was “too cheap to meter”?

  101. Foxwood says:

Government as the only insurer is still not the answer. And people within government and ACORN have already been on television explaining how they would run private insurance out of business.

  102. rosehips says:

I am writing way too much. gotta go give my fingers a rest. bbs.

  103. karmahd says:

Rose my whole issue with the current administration is that their platform is being implemented without focus or concern for the outcome to the health of the US economy. Where everyone might have some form of health care, and be amplely warned as to the misadvertising of some of the markets products, who is going to pay for this and what price will we all have to pay.

Obamawow is totally oblivious to cost!!! He does not care what anything costs, and the pragmatic way of doing business is throw out the window, this is the difference between free market items verses government provided products, if the government fucks up and runs over they do not go out of business we dig deeper in our pockets to bail them out. So in essence we are the business owners of all these government run sources, and I do not remember being asked if I want MY MONEY spent that way. I DO NOT TRUST our government in running any business where profit is not the motive!!! It is an ideological difference, I have never said any of these issues were not needed, they just are not needed to be run by the government who does not care what they spend, the people will always have to open there coffers to pay for the governments mistakes!!!! That is JUST WRONG>

Trouble is, all Obama took time for was to tell the FDA to get going then he returned to what his real priority was to work on – and we can hope the situations in Iran and Korea.

He achieved his purpose – he got us and others stirred up. Now we are trying to play catchup on what makes the FDA tick. Clever man that O.

And the reason is not based on national security, she is just plain stupid and lying about her knowledge and she should be run out of office for her antics!!!!

    4.55pm:
Here’s another new video claiming to show today’s protests in Tehran.

    4.40pm:
Mousavi has sent a letter to the guardian council alleging that there were plans to rig the election months in advance, according to his website.

Here’s the Farsi version, and there is a very rough Google translation here.

    3.30pm:
An eyewitness in Enghelab square reports around 20,000 riot police, made up of Basiji militiamen and soldiers, and armed with rifles, tear gas and water cannons.

The eyewitness saw dozens of people beaten by riot police in an attempt to frighten them into evacuating the square, with one young man being beaten to the ground by four policemen.

The protesters were not wearing the green insignia that signifies support for Mousavi, and were not making victory signs or chanting.

The eyewitness reports riot police attacking people on passing motorbikes and, on occasion, innocent passersby who have no way of escaping the heavy police presence. Nonetheless, there are thousands of Mousavi supporters, marching peacefully near the square, where rthey have been subjected to these brutal reprisals from the police.

Across Tehran, there is widespread fear and panic, with many desperate to know what is going on in Enghelab square, but unable to find out due to reporting restrictions. Now the question seems to be: what will Mousavi do next?

    A Young Girl Shot Dead

Posted by iranrevolution on June 20, 2009

WARNING: The link in this post is graphic and gruesome. Update: Video is now removed from Youtube.

I am sitting in the comfort of my study and writing blogs which in a very small way I hope will contribute in toppling the oppressive regime of Iran. I am asking my fellow countrymen to go out on the streets and ask for what should be their birthright, freedom.

But as I watch in horror and disbelief the last moments of a young girl dying in the streets of Tehran I wonder if we are entitled to ask our fellow countrymen to become martyrs so that the rest of us can once again be free. Yes I have doubts, great doubts. I am, like so many of my fellow countrymen sick and tired of a nondemocratic autocratic repressive regime that discredits Iran in the world and deprives its citizens from basic human rights. Dare I utter a simple truth: We all want to live our lives freely! This should be a right given to every human being by birth. There should not be a price to pay for being free. There should not be! Still, in Iran today, we are witnessing the indiscriminate killings of our fellow countrymen for the crime of being freedom lovers. And I am wondering, do I want to see even one more of my beloved countrymen to fall victim by the hands of this evil, vicious and cruel regime and its foot soldiers? Am I in a way responsible for the death of this girl?

It is a truly sad day for all of us. Please, never ever forget her. Promise to remember her as if she was your sister.

    With a heavy heart…

    THE WHITE HOUSE

    Office of the Press Secretary
    _______________________________________________________________
For Immediate Release June 20, 2009

Statement from the President on Iran

The Iranian government must understand that the world is watching. We mourn each and every innocent life that is lost. We call on the Iranian government to stop all violent and unjust actions against its own people. The universal rights to assembly and free speech must be respected, and the United States stands with all who seek to exercise those rights.

As I said in Cairo, suppressing ideas never succeeds in making them go away. The Iranian people will ultimately judge the actions of their own government. If the Iranian government seeks the respect of the international community, it must respect the dignity of its own people and govern through consent, not coercion.

Martin Luther King once said – “The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.” I believe that. The international community believes that. And right now, we are bearing witness to the Iranian peoples’ belief in that truth, and we will continue to bear witness.

  231. samhenry says:

  232. samhenry says:

And of course in the video above, it was played just after 9/11.

  233. Hey SamHenry, I’m great what about you?

  237. VotingFemale says:

I could not help but shake my head reading Obama’s words to the Government of Iran today… remembering all the internet Troll Attacks I and many others have been enduring for almost a year, attacks on us for the political purpose of suppressing our Right To Expression and Free Speech…

Their tactics, of those of threats and personal attacks, are tactics of Terrorists… are intended to cause fear and intimidation for political reasons… and as God is my witness, if one of them goes over the line again, as has happened in the past, I will bring the authorities down on them for it.

    believe it…

  238. samhenry says:

VF you have done well to remind us of the enemy within. Freedom of speech is never really guaranteed. It is like driving a car. There are laws and rules to guide drivers but when you come to an intersection, you cannot be guaranteed that you will have the right of way when it is clearly yours. That is, IMO, the way it is with freedom of speech in this country. I t may be guaranteed under the law but you are sometimes hard pressed to find help in ensuring it. Trolls exist in all societies and in all people. It is the same as with genocide.

  239. VotingFemale says:

    well stated SamHenry…

and rule one… stand up to it… let them cross the line.

  240. ohiobelle says:

    Hello everybody!

    vf, where is the update??

  241. samhenry says:

And the FOX has a point in saying it could happen here. It surely could at any time during our fragile truce with the dark forces who have brought us to this place. And when we go against our leaders, will there be someone to express with all forms of the verb “to be” the fact that O’s administration “must realize” that it is our right to speak freely. How many times have we all been told that to say to anyone “you must” is to loose the argument?

  242. ohiobelle says:

Sam, I hope to god something like that never happens here.

  243. ohiobelle says:

I like our tea parties. lol

  244. ohiobelle says:

I’ve never heard of anyone being killed by a runaway tea bag.

  245. samhenry says:

VF has said: and rule one… stand up to it… let them cross the line.

The above is what people of character and leaders do. I do not see Obama as being able to bring himself to draw a line in the sand. If he did and if someone would call his bluff and cross it and then he would have to excuse himself to consider quietly what to do. He would also need to consult with 30 people of differing views who would give him a overview to all angles of the issue.

Thank you, VF for your kind words on my words.

  246. The USA is under so much OPPRESSION from Obama and Company, it is disgusting.

  247. Hey he won’t draw the line, he is a weak scared weenie and incompetent. Plus he’ s muslim and cannot do what must be done.

  248. samhenry says:

Hi Belle. I hate to sound dour and dire but really there are so many pressures and fears that are driving citizens crazy today. People need some relief from unemployment, from taxation, and generally release from the angst Obama has caused in getting into a million areas of reform within 5 short months. If promises are not fulfilled, frustration will be great and who knows what will happen. I don’t think we have reached economic bottom yet and I don’t think the people have really got a grasp on the reality that it will take years to turn things around. And even when things are turned around, things will never be “normal” again as we have known it.

  249. ohiobelle says:

    Hi warrantone and sam!

Sam, I understand and respect the way you feel. I hope (if it were to happen here) that it is because of government and taxation; not race. I would never want to see a race war in the United States… we’d all lose.

  250. ohiobelle says:

As I said before I am happy with our non violent tea parties. If we had them more often then you’d see a difference. I don’t think violence will ever solve anything.

  251. samhenry says:

Well said, Belle. Unfortunately there are those who take all issues and subsume them under race. It is a terrorist tactic. It is used to instill fear and brings us to the recent call for an apology for slavery and to consider reparations. It seems we just can’t escape it. The initial economic success of our country was based on slavery and their descendants understand this. But how does one generation pay for the sins of another? That is tough. And all of this is happening at a time when we can’t afford anything. I hope with you that it does not involve race. However, it may involve class.

  252. samhenry says:

Belle, when I did a lot of iReports, I interacted with a lot of black reporters. They took a dim view of the tea parties. They considered that all attendants were upper class whites. Now this is not entirely true but this is just to let you know that the tea parties were being assessed by some of our fellow citizens who did not view them as we did.

  253. samhenry says:

I hate to leave but I have two dogs who are literally tugging on my toga trying to make me get up to feed them. I will eat at the same time so that our schedules continue to jibe.

    Dog overboard….wooooooooooooooooof, splash!

  254. ohiobelle says:

Sam, I was not happy by the recent call for an apology for slavery. I don’t feel that I have anything to apologize for because it was not me that did it. That did upset me.

I think we can all feel the tension and my fear is it would become about race and not government. I assume alot of Obama supporters probably assumed the tea parties were about color when in fact they were about taxation. I remember the hatered of iCry. I am so glad to move away from that.

  255. ohiobelle says:

hahah! I know what you mean. My dogs are driving me nuts right now.

I am taking off as well. I’ll talk to you later.

  256. Hey, Ohiobelle! I do not see America as having a race war, it will be a class war and it won’t be pretty.

    Hello:

This is simply an introduction of me to you. My name is JoWazzoo and my avatar is either a Jackalope or a gynoid (female robot). If you see a post from John H Galt, that will likely be me as well. (Many imposters.) My long time good friend Bob aka Foxwood invited me as he thought I might fit in. I am a Right Thinker in that my thinking is not only Right, but usually right. 🙂

I don’t know much about WordPress, so please be gentle. I have been on the Net about 20 years and know a lot about privacy, ownership, security and Net Abuse issues. I am also a Geek, a Nerd and conservative – among other things. Finally, do not hold it against me, but I am also er umm an Economist. [ROFLYAO not allowed.]

Oh BTW, VF Boss Person – those Ipswich Green heads can be horrendous. Also in that neck of the woods are mosquitos big enough to carry you away, no-see- ems (you never see the little buggers), ticks that give you Lyme disease (and the medicine rips your guts apart!!) and worst of all, lotsa freaking Liberals.

I spent the day trying to put a hack together so that on one or two pages, I can get rss feeds, tweets, blogs and other goodies to try to keep up on near real time the Iran situation. When I get done, I will let you know as some of the good folks here seem to be interested.

    cheers … Honorable Reverend JoWazzoo
