North Korea Nuclear Threat; Fanned by Obama Policy, re: “I think it would be a profound mistake for us to use Nuclear Weapons in any circumstance”

The USA and the World became less safe the day Obama was elected

The USA and the World became less safe the day Obama was elected

We moved closer to receiving a First Strike Nuclear Weapons Attack by sociopath enemies of humanity like North Korea, the day Obama was elected.

If there are no perceived nuclear consequences in store for a Nuclear Armed Nation in the event they use their nuclear weapons on others, then there is no consequential reason for these Sociopath Countries like North Korea not to use them.

For Obama to take the position and to publicly state:  “I think it would be a profound mistake for us to use Nuclear Weapons in any circumstance”

…cultured, in my opinion, increased threat of  Nuclear Attack against the USA and the World by nations like North Korea.

Reflect back on Obama’s Stance on the use of Nuclear Weapons if President

Now …let those quivers run freely down your leg and groin

  1. Foxwood says:

This is a disaster waiting to happen.

  2. Foxwood says:

An on top of that, Mypanties AreInAWad was givin the th go ahead to create nuclear (weapons) energy.

  3. samhenry says:

I awoke to this? I’m glad I had my say last night. I am dumbfounded. That pic, VF – looks like nuclear dumplings over a stew of air pollution. I’d say good post but it is too chilling. I am sure you will get lots of hits on this one.

Mornnig who ever is left – Fox – Sami?

  4. VotingFemale says:

I focused on North Korea because it is in People’s Faces…

and of course Iran is a ticking nuclear time bomb…

  5. samhenry says:

Well, as you said, the Administration wait and see attitude about the election – that they are monitoring it – who the hell are we – HE to monitor and he will wait to see ashes of NYC drift onto the White House lawn.

Korea – I like your focus on people’s faces – that says so much – it is so true.

  6. VotingFemale says:

SamH… the subject of this blogpost is indeed sobering… this is an issue that makes the economic recession look like… well… like a flagellating flea by comparison.

  7. samhenry says:

AH, VF, I do love your reduction of the situation to a farting flea. I forget what doing that in writing is called but it really has impact!

We really are on the eve of destruction. For Hillary to step out on not one but three different occasions within as many weeks doesn’t make our situation any better. Do you see her leaving her post?

  8. samhenry says:

…Hillary step out and go against the President on this issue…

  9. samhenry says:

I cannot tell you how frightened I am that this disagreement between Obama and Clinton has moved from conversations closed discussions in the White House bunker into the light of day.

  10. Foxwood says:

flatulating fleas? Can’t smell too bad…

  11. samhenry says:

WG will surely want to drive by and smell our fleas.

  12. rosehips says:

it’s so sobering I fear I will never feel giddy again. can I change the subject?

I saw this video on single payer rallies that managed to catch the attention of Congress. Single payer went from being off the table to being back on. I never saw anything about these rallies in the mainstream media. I am going to try to embed. This is from Grit tv. I hear they have a citizen journalist blog.

  13. rosehips says:

sorry, it wouldn’t embed. here’s the link:
    http://www.freespeech.org/video/grittv-struggle-single-payer

  14. samhenry says:

Biden: Biden said the resolution represented joint action by the Security Council members “like never before,” noting that longtime North Korean ally China signed on. He called possible North Korean use or spread of nuclear weapons “a serious threat to the world, and particularly in East Asia.

I believe that here he glossed over or did not read a warning from China about the US taking action against Korea. I will try to find the quote.

  15. rosehips says:

how are you this morning sh? you were busy in the wee hours, eh?

  16. VotingFemale says:

mmmm… visitor… need to go but they wont stay too long… came for my coffee!

    BBIAB

  17. rosehips says:

    anyway, sorry to divert.

Imagine how the families of the journalists who were convicted feel. Is it safe to say that N. Korea may be annialated? Is that what some think should be done?

  18. samhenry says:

Yea, Rose, busy this AM doing a verbal delivery to the clean blog spot. Sorry for the mess. It is filled with farting fleas.

When a wealthy Russian builds a ship that can withstand rocket attack, it says some people are so concerned about the world situation that at the first sign of fracture in the political universe they will put out to sea.

  19. rosehips says:

ah, vf. I am jealous. your barista talents are legendary. I think I will go for another cup of my version of cafe heaven. It’s humble but good. just like me. heehee

  20. samhenry says:

I’ve thought of them too, Rose. Previous administrations have declared that, like Israel, they are prisioners of war and should expect to be among the victims I guess.

I think I know what Obama is doing in pulling back. He hopes others will, too. But especially in he Middle East, respect goes to the strong. I can only imagine that Kimmy is so over the cliff that nothing anyone “says” anymore matters. He is waiting for the “does” to happen. Stay giddy, girl because we need it now more than ever. FOX where are you with the musical relief?

Video about health care demonstration and movement very important TX

  21. samhenry says:

Alone on the blog again – don’t like it. I’m away for the day – back late night – or maybe not….

  22. Foxwood says:

I don’t mind healthcare reforms, but single payer will crush what economy we have left, not to mention raise prices, put improved medicine off limits, lines for specialized procedures, and death.

I think reform is the best bet. Take the auto insurance approach. If you are taking care of yourself, your costs are lower. If you are at high risk, the cost increases. That also adds incentive to respect yourself.

  23. Foxwood says:

I don’t think we need to annihilate N.Korea. The people have no control of their dictator. But we could grow some balls and put pressure on them.

If we weren’t so indebted to China, we could do more. I know it’s not Obama that stated that, but the best thing he could do in that situation is to get us out of debt with China. That’s just a stupid situation.

  24. ohiobelle says:

Hey guys I just wanted to come on and say hi. I won’t be logged on for long. We just got a call that my husbands friend died last night. Very very sad day.

  25. samhenry says:

    FOX – final words

We can get out of debt but we can’t bring out industries home; we have no time to gear up for war. Missles and bombs are of limited value except in nuclear attack and even then, if Obama is at the theatre in NYC and kim pushes the button, guess who will win? Kimmy because Obama will want to see the end of the play and it will give him a chance to think about what to do.

  26. Foxwood says:

Theme song here. The Gap band is a Tulsa band, Gap standing for the streets Greenwood, Archer, and Pine, or Peoria, I can’t remember which.

and I do feel that stress is a major contributor to health problems.

  41. ohiobelle says:

    hahah… love the link!

I think I am right. The stress of the news could have caused his heart attack.

  42. ohiobelle says:

When I got laid off my blood pressure went sky high! Had it not been for vf, rosehips and lisa telling me to go to the emergency room for the dog bite then I never would’ve known my blood pressure was 200 over 100. The doc said I was lucky and now I know just how lucky I was.

  43. ohiobelle says:

And I believe you also told me to go to the emergency room.

Well I think I’d better get off the computer. Thank you for cheering me up. I am just so sad. He thought his dealership was safe because he made it through the first round of cuts. Sucks.

sometimes mine is so low I don’t think they can find it! I have mitriol valve prolapse… which means one of my valves has a relaxed “seal”… doesn’t close and open as efficiently as it could.

Stress is very bad for the heart…
I’ve been good at controlling my stress over the last 4-5 years, but I used to get really uptight about things and totally push my body overboard.

  48. m2 says:

we always had more “homework” at our college that at Ohio State U.

Welcome to Ohio State University!! lol

  52. rosehips says:

belle, that’s terrible news about your friend. way too young to die. I know a few who have had massive attacks but luckily survived. It is so tragic to lose a friend. we need to take heed. I know you work out and I’m glad. I threw out my back because I don’t stretch enough and I guess weeding my garden must have been too much. I just bent over to pick up clothes and ouch. So now I am crippled up.

Hang in there. I know it will be a difficult experience for your hub and you. I thought it was so cool that you went hiking with him yesterday. That’s the kinds of things we need to be doing to offset the stress the economy and the world climate create. good for you! It sounds like your friend must have been through hell recently.

  53. rosehips says:

and hi to you belle and m2!

  54. rosehips says:

m2, a new avatar? is that letterman? lol

  55. rosehips says:

my college was a big party school.

It was written up in Playboy as one of the top places to be on St Paddy’s Day. But alas too many students died or were paralyzed by the parties and so they made our Spring Break to coincide with St Pat’s Day and that ended the bedlam.

  57. Foxwood says:

Rose, exactly where does your back hurt? I do some amateur acupuncture. I can hit my spots, sometimes other peoples. If I know the spot, I can do some investigation.

  58. Foxwood says:

I said acupuncture. I meant pressure.

OMG… on the youtube page, I read the first comment and thought it was so great, I was going to copy/paste it here- then I saw the author was VF!!! Ha Ha Ha Ha!!!

  60. rosehips says:

foxy it’s the lower back. I have a friend who wants to apply pressure, but I think he has ulterior motives. I will probably make an appt with a chiropractor. It’s been so long that I will probably be charged double. They always do that for the first time and if you don’t go regularly, they sock you. I hate that. Maybe I should check out acupressure or massage. There are a lot of them in this town.

  61. VotingFemale says:

    Belle driveby?

    Hey Belle!!!! ( waving)

so sorry to hear about the death of your family friend dear. hugs

  62. VotingFemale says:

what caused it to flair up Rose?

    can you pinpoint the event?

hanging from a chandelier drinking champagne?

  63. Foxwood says:

I see an acupuncturist and I highly recommend it. If you don’t like needles, they have laser and pressure. Laser is the better.

Is it the entire lower back?

  64. Foxwood says:

“hanging from a chandelier drinking champagne?”

That would mean she was swinging. I don’t think our Rose does that.

  65. Foxwood says:

I’ll check back, I gotta check my coals. Grill out Sunday, ya know.

  66. rosehips says:

vf, yeah but it was too wierd. I was picking up clothes off the bathroom floor after a bath. It just went “ping” : instant pain. That will teach me not to drop my clothes on the floor. tuff lesson.
Actually when I worked I did yoga every morning. Only 6 sun salutations. It only took a matter of minutes but the stretches really helped and I never had any back trouble. As soon as I heal I am resolved to go back to that routine.

  67. Foxwood says:

    Yoga is another good prevention.

  68. Foxwood says:

Don’t do so much yoga… more into the stretches before the bag.

  69. rosehips says:

no, never a swinger. I missed out on that fun. I had a bf who was quite a bit older than I and he had stories of swinging days. I don’t think I’d be comfortable doing that at all.

foxy, I feel the most pain around my lower vertabrae. I really think an adjustment would be all I need. I know a couple of acupuncturists. I have only gone to one many years ago in NYC. I don’t recall what for or the outcome.

  70. rosehips says:

what youtube was m2 talking about?

  71. Foxwood says:

Rose, I’ll do some research. It’s not going to hurt, and especially if it helps. I’ll be back in a few. If I miss you, read the comments.

  72. VotingFemale says:

A twisting tilting motion is sometimes all it takes to strain a back muscle. Been there; done that and it is painful for weeks afterward.

Golf helps me stay limber and exercised back wise and I go to the driving range during winter months as well…

yoga seems a great idea… in the meantime I wish you a speedy recovery…. I know it must really hurt right now… hugs…

    rosehips says

  73. rosehips says:

vf and foxy. thanks. it really doesn’t hurt until I move. haha

I don’t really want to exagerate my condition. I think I will be fine in a day or two and if not an adjustment is all I will need. If I can find someone who can crack my back, I can maybe avoid a visit to the chiro. Not sure who I know anymore that can do that. I’ve had it done before and it’s pretty easy to do.

  74. arlenearmy says:

    VF
On that 1st video, Obama should never say “NO”.

  75. arlenearmy says:

On that 2nd video, I’m reminded of the familiar wall plates: Jesus Christ, MLK & Kennedy. I wonder if Obama will be the 4th place ? Or will his mug shot replace MLK ?

Many yrs. ago there was a preacher who reminded me of Obama. He did not preach well, but some how he broke up the church in half & relocated the flock to another building. He started wearing red robes & had the deacons carrying the end of his robe like he was King, He only drank his water ??? from a gold cup. Eventually, there were many unhappy members (fedup). The others were afraid to speak against him. He stole all the furnishings, ceiling fans, organs & carpet. He demanded 40% tithes. He even had the parishioners bowing. A big argument happened on Sunday morning over money shortage. The deacons called a vote to remove him. Preacher said it was his church & he refused to go. Then GUNS were pulled. The members had to call the cops & a local judge to intervene. The judge ruled in favor of the parishioners. But the preacher did not leave w/causing damage.

Folks, this could happen to us.

  76. VotingFemale says:

In my opinion it is happening, Arlene…

  77. arlenearmy says:

The back & forth on US part seems like all talk … just words. Meanwhile, Korea has not backed off. I am waiting to see what action Obama will take. I amm stilllllllll waitingggggggggggggggggg.

  78. Foxwood says:

    Rose,
This one works best with needles or laser, but you can try the fingers. Lie on your back with your kneess up and bent. Place your fingertips in the center of the crease behind each knee and press and move the fingers in a clockwise circular motion.

    Can’t hurt to try.

  79. Foxwood says:

  110. rosehips says:

Arlene, my kids and I were almost in the Postman! It was filmed just over the mountains from where we were living and we went twice to apply to be extras. The crew was gone both times we showed up. I know a lot of extras in that movie. I went and hung out one night when they were filming a dance party scene. It was fun. I need to get a copy of that and watch it again. I have a friend here in town who I borrowed it from last year.
The Postman could be what life will be like post apocalypse. who really knows?
I am watching “Slumdog Millionaires” It is amazing how resourceful human are when they need to be. Of course that isn’t necessary in a socialist world. ha ha

    Me gotta go

Fine little girl waits for me
Catch a ship across the sea
Sail that ship about, all alone
Never know if I make it home

    Louie Louie, oh no
    Me gotta go
    Aye-yi-yi-yi, I said
    Louie Louie, oh baby
    Me gotta go

Three nights and days I sail the sea
    Think of girl, constantly
On that ship, I dream she’s there
I smell the rose in her hair.

    Louie Louie, oh no
    Me gotta go
    Aye-yi-yi-yi, I said
    Louie Louie, oh baby
    Me gotta go

Okay, let’s give it to ’em, right now!

    See Jamaica, the moon above
It won’t be long, me see me love
Take her in my arms again
Tell her I’ll never leave again

    Louie Louie, oh no
    Me gotta go

greywolf, I have already taken a stand and protested the killing of greywolves which is now allowed I believe.

“freedom” is not taken for granted by many of our citizens. The US is the world’s largest jailer. Why do we continue to moralize and lock up non-violent drug offenders?

If you really stand for “freedom”, you will support Senator Jim Webb’s bill S714 which will study our prison system and recommend reform that works. It’s time to stop the rhetoric and start to really do something to make our country truely free.

    http://www.nytimes.com/2009/06/14/opinion/14kristof.html?ref=opinion

  185. rosehips says:

this is from the NY Times article (link above):

“We’ve spent a trillion dollars prosecuting the war on drugs,” Norm Stamper, a former police chief of Seattle, told me. “What do we have to show for it? Drugs are more readily available, at lower prices and higher levels of potency. It’s a dismal failure.”

For that reason, he favors legalization of drugs, perhaps by the equivalent of state liquor stores or registered pharmacists. Other experts favor keeping drug production and sales illegal but decriminalizing possession, as some foreign countries have done.

  186. rosehips says:

Here in the United States, four decades of drug war have had three consequences:

First, we have vastly increased the proportion of our population in prisons. The United States now incarcerates people at a rate nearly five times the world average. In part, that’s because the number of people in prison for drug offenses rose roughly from 41,000 in 1980 to 500,000 today. Until the war on drugs, our incarceration rate was roughly the same as that of other countries.

  187. samiam60 says:

    Rose states:
freedom” is not taken for granted by many of our citizens. The US is the world’s largest jailer. Why do we continue to moralize and lock up non-violent drug offenders?

In this we are in agreement Rose. It is gone far beyond rational to continue on this war on drugs that is ineffective and so very costly. I am against drugs for sure, but lets face it corruption in government has brought on this huge drug problem we face in America.

  188. rosehips says:

Second, we have empowered criminals at home and terrorists abroad. One reason many prominent economists have favored easing drug laws is that interdiction raises prices, which increases profit margins for everyone, from the Latin drug cartels to the Taliban. Former presidents of Mexico, Brazil and Colombia this year jointly implored the United States to adopt a new approach to narcotics, based on the public health campaign against tobacco.

  189. rosehips says:

Third, we have squandered resources. Jeffrey Miron, a Harvard economist, found that federal, state and local governments spend $44.1 billion annually enforcing drug prohibitions. We spend seven times as much on drug interdiction, policing and imprisonment as on treatment. (Of people with drug problems in state prisons, only 14 percent get treatment.)

  190. VotingFemale says:

“to wake up the “We’s” who are sleeping…”

and that is a primary goal of blogging… at least for me it is…

  191. rosehips says:

The stakes are huge, the uncertainties great, and there’s a genuine risk that liberalizing drug laws might lead to an increase in use and in addiction. But the evidence suggests that such a risk is small. After all, cocaine was used at only one-fifth of current levels when it was legal in the United States before 1914. And those states that have decriminalized marijuana possession have not seen surging consumption.

“I don’t see any big downside to marijuana decriminalization,” said Peter Reuter, a professor of criminology at the University of Maryland who has been skeptical of some of the arguments of the legalization camp. At most, he said, there would be only a modest increase in usage.

  192. rosehips says:

    have I proselytized enough? lol

  193. samiam60 says:

The Mafia came to real power in the 20′ and 30’s thanks to Government intervention and so it has been again since Nixon. The drug cartels would go belly up if the laws were relaxed.

  194. samiam60 says:

Good Golly Miss Molly we finally agree on something, LOL

I agree that too much money and resources are being wasted on drug users…

yet… Obama wants to create a Civilian Defense Force

Talk about squandering money and distracting resources of the Nation…

And what is Obama planning to do with his Civilian Defense Force? and to whom will he do it?

  199. rosehips says:

sami, I think we need a lot of change, but going retro is ok and freedom is great as long as it doesn’t infringe on others or our Earth. If I sell you drugs and we are both consenting adults, fine. If you pay me for sex and we are both consenting adults, fine. But if you dump toxins into the creek on your land, you don’t deserve that land. I do not support a person’s right to harm their family or the Earth. I draw the line there. There has to be limits on freedom, don’t you think?

U.N. Official Calls for Review of American Raids

KABUL, Afghanistan — In unusually firm remarks, the chief of the United Nations mission in Afghanistan said there was an “urgent need to review” the Special Operations forces here.

The official, Kai Eide, called the political costs of civilian casualties from special operations raids “disproportionate to the military gains,” and said the Special Operations forces needed to become “more Afghanized.”

Report: Feud, falsehoods inspired US Afghan attack
    1 day ago

LONDON (AP) — A British television report to be broadcast on Monday says American forces who killed scores of people last August in Azizabad, western Afghanistan, attacked the village on the basis of false allegations inspired by a blood feud with a neighboring community.

An hour-long, in-depth documentary, previewed by The Associated Press and to be broadcast by Channel 4, includes scenes from a Herat provincial court trial in which a leader from the rival village was sentenced to death for murder for having given false information leading to the deaths of 91 innocent Azizabad civilians.

Finch: Palin jokes no laughing matter, says CBS should fire Letterman
    by The Post-Standard
    Friday June 12, 2009, 6:42 PM

Auburn, NY — Assemblyman Gary D. Finch has called on CBS President and Chief Executive Officer Leslie Moonves to fire comedian and late-night talk show host David Letterman.

“Gov. Sarah Palin was a guest of the city of Auburn in New York state,” Finch said in a statement released Friday. “She was subjected to degrading comments about herself, her 14 year old daughter and all women on primetime television by Late Show host David Letterman. I find these comments to be completely unacceptable and outrageous.”

Palin was invited by the Seward House museum in Auburn to help the city celebrate its first Founder’s Day. Auburn is part of Finch’s 123rd Assembly District.

This is the 50th anniversary of Alaskan statehood, and Auburn’s William H. Seward was secretary of state under President Andrew Johnson when the United States bought Alaska from Russian in 1867.

In his letter to Moonves, Finch wrote: “While she was a guest of our state, Gov. Palin, her daughter and all women, were subjected to Mr. Letterman’s outrageous comments on national television. To make the situation more egregious, during Mr. Letterman’s explanation of his remarks, he took the opportunity to continue making degrading comments towards women.”
