Hussein Obama Snubs French President, Chicago Style

Obama snubs French President and First Lady, Chicago Style

Obama snubs French President and First Lady, Chicago Style

President Sarkozy dared to correctly criticise the Enchanted One, pointing out Hussein Obama’s lack of experience during the G20 meeting earlier this year.

Well… The Enchanted One hates criticism and nothing angers him more…

Way to go President Sarkozy! Tell that FIGJAM US Pompous-In-Chief how it is.

And way to go Obama! Prove to the world that you are skilled at Public Payback to foreign heads of state which are not Muslim.

Way to go, in a very public way, by refusing the dinner invitation, on the eve of the D-Day Celebration in France, that you were invited to attend by the President and First Lady of France. That will show them!

Obama, your skill at Chicago Snubbery is well known and noted. We saw it clearly during the primaries in 2008 against Hillary Clinton.

Sunbbery, Obama Chicago Style

Sunbbery, Obama Chicago Style

Who else are you going to snub in such a public and contemptuous way just because they dare criticize your lack of experience?

The entire non-Muslim world???

You have already scared the crap out of the US Media with the exception of FOX News… with your behind the scenes threats of using the full force of the Presidency to silence opposition. Been taking lessons from Hugo Chevez and your buddy Fidel Castro?

Wow! Who you gonna Tazer next? Pelosi? hahahahahahahahahahahaha

Gonna sic your new Internet Czar on bloggers legally exercising their freedom of speech?

I would love to see your reactions to being on the receiving end of the treatment your Zombie MOONBAT Trolls threw at Sarah Palin and her children on the internet and in the Mainstream Media.

Sarah Palin is ten times the man you will ever be, and she is a woman!

Who else have you been snubbing???

You mean there is more???

OMG!!! hahahaha

Obama snubs Berlin in brief German stop-over

President Barack Obama has arrived in Germany amid speculation that the brevity of the visit reflects a simmering row between Washington and Berlin. Squeezed in the middle of his trips to Egypt and France, and ignoring the German capital, the US president’s schedule focuses on the city of Dresden which was almost destroyed by Allied bombing in 1945.

Although there will be a brief meeting with Chancellor Angela Merkel, German requests for a more public address, a walk about in the now re- built modern city and the hope that Obama would include a more extensive round of talks were all refused.

It is mooted that the US is disappointed over German criticism of its handling of the economic crisis, Berlin’s lack of commitment to the Afghan war effort and a reluctance to take in Guantanamo inmates.

And of course there is that “Proxy Snub” By PM Gordon Brown on your behalf, Obama.

But then Brownie is on his last leg as a brainless Socialist Big Spender with voters in Great Britian… and likely will soon be required to step down from office for screwing up the economy… well sorta like you are doing in the US.

You just don’t snub the queen

Thursday, June 4, 2009

Gordon Brown, Britain’s beleaguered prime minister, has put his foot in it again. Somehow, inexplicably, he forgot to ask Queen Elizabeth II to join President Nicholas Sarkozy of France, President Barack Obama and himself at this year’s 65th D-Day commemoration on June 6.

It is the first time Britain’s head of state has been omitted from such gatherings. The queen reportedly is not amused. She is decidedly displeased.

The slight should rankle. The queen, now 83, is the only living head of state on the globe to have worn a uniform during the Second World War. As a young woman she served as a truck driver in the Women’s Auxiliary Territorial Service.

In contrast, Mr. Brown, Mr. Sarkozy and Mr. Obama were all born after the war — in Mr. Obama’s case, 16 years later.

Mr. Brown, and the Labor Party he heads, have seen their public standing plummet during the recession. The party’s popularity reached new lows after the recent series of disclosures that members of Parliament have sought repayment from the government for personal expenses such as cleaning a moat, buying a floating nest for ducks and making payments on a non-existent mortgage.

The scandal led to the resignation this month of House of Commons Speaker Michael Martin, a political ally of Mr. Brown.

The Labor Party is expected to suffer the consequences in local elections June 4. But Mr. Brown is not required to call a general election until next year — if he lasts that long.

His discourtesy to the queen may persuade his party to seek a new leader. Royalty still commands respect in Britain, even on the left.

And of course your throwing Isreal under the Middle East Bus has so endeared you with Israel… who is now responding to your “My Way or the Highway” style of which you accuse Bush 43.

I guess your suck up to Muslim World Leaders and demonizing the former US Administration and your “Obama Snubbery” of Western European Leaders is Racism; Straight Up.

By The Way… Where is your Long Form Birth Certificate, Obama???

Where are you really from, Obama?

Where are you really from, Obama?

Is arragoance not in his vocabulary?? Just try to silence the internet Tea Bag parties will look like a cake walk. FDA=Fucking Dumb ASS, last usage of the fornication word but this pisses me off,!

  2. karmahd says:

I wonder how much that little Napoleon Rham is steering this crap!

  3. rosehips says:

wow vf! First of all, good morning to you.

You sure managed to get a lot of issues crammed into this post. oh boy.

What did the queen say about the snubbing? Maybe she doesn’t want to be there. The whole aristocracy thing is superficial. She really isn’t the head of state, is she? It’s all fluff and pomp and circumstance. I suppose the guys need a woman to set them straight and keep them from letting their testosterone go wild and make deals that will keep us all indebted for eternity. So I say, go Queen go!

  4. rosehips says:

what pisses you off the most karma?

Why did the President refuse the dinner invite? Maybe he had a conflict?
    What excuse did he give?

  5. VotingFemale says:

lol Rose! And good morning again dear!

There are so many topics, so little time!

    rosehips says

  6. karmahd says:

I guess what pisses me off is that image and substance are polar extremes with this guy. I am a big believer in truth, and I constantly see it twisted to massive degrees with Obama, you know say one thing do another, then hide behind the flag and spout patriotism?? LIE’S

  7. karmahd says:

Rose I will email you about your last comment on the page before, lots of telling tidbits in that statement. (graduation statement)

  8. rosehips says:

I did a little research and I so far there is no reason given for the Obama snubbing of Sarkozy. They are meeting and dining today I think. All the politics is a bit much. Everyone wants to spend time with Obama. If he doesn’t give everyone equal time, it’s an affront. It’s almost comparable to jr. high girls and their birthday parties. It gets so petty.

  9. rosehips says:

karma, I will look out for your email. You think I should be concerned?

  10. rosehips says:

I’ve got to make a birthday phone call and get some stuff done. bbl.

  11. karmahd says:

Rose not concerned but aware of the big picture, this is not about your feelings it is about the motive behind your sons snubbing of the graduation, seems to me that there is some pain there, and if not faced it will fester! The best thing I always tried to do right or wrong was plow on through the fear, I will try to shoot it off to you now. Karma

  12. VotingFemale says:

Sarkozy pissed off the French Socialists by saying people should go to work…

now they work hard… at demonstrating against his view that they should go to work instead of expecting a free ride.

  13. hey karma, glad to see you are getting ticked off!

Great post VF-Q! this is a drive by! bbl

  14. karmahd says:

OH warrantonegirl, I have always been ticked off, but too much emotion is what they want, I try to attack with logic!! Most cannot handle that, and it always trumps ridicule!

  15. rosehips says:

reminds me of when my dad said “I’m not mad, I’m ticked off.”

    Ok dad, whatever…lol

  16. karmahd says:

I try to never get mad, pissed yes, but mad requires action, and those actions don’t always benefit either party!

  17. rosehips says:

karma: “I’m not mad, I’m pissed off!”

    ok, karma. whatever. lol.

  18. rosehips says:

    mad=pissed off

    ruff ruff grrrrrrrr…..

I can’t believe it, but they seem to be the only ones not on the Obama-Can-Do-No-Wrong bandwagon.

I was horrified by Obama’s “historic” speech to the Muslim world. Speechless actually. I’m glad to see you’re still speaking up against this madness.

  66. SamHenry says:

Speaking of “bombs,” this is D-Day and we should avoid mention of the sulfurous ones close at hand, as it were, and focus on the ones of long ago that decimated our culture.

  67. SamHenry says:

    Good play on words, FOX.

  68. ohiobelle says:

First North Korea and now Iran! If Obama is so popular then why is everybody feeling the need to launch missiles?? hmm… We are all sitting ducks my fellow extremist..

  69. SamHenry says:

    Good evening to our Belle!

  70. ohiobelle says:

    Right back at ya Sam.

  71. SamHenry says:

Did Iran shoot one off again today or threaten same or was it just their fearless blabby leader shooting off his mouth?

  72. ohiobelle says:

I haven’t been watching the news this week so I haven’t had much to comment on until now. It’s disturbing that North Korea and Iran have been allowed to fire missiles. Way to go UN. lol

While Barack was safe in his home town over seas we faced a terror attack on US soil. The US must appear to be pretty weak.. I wonder why that would be? lol

  73. ohiobelle says:

    My comments aren’t showing up…..ugh!

Yes Iran did fire a missile today.

  74. Foxwood says:

Obama’s just getting ready for the 4th of July… He’s already invited the Iranians. I’m sure he’s been meaning to Invite N.Korea also…

  75. SamHenry says:

Like all misguided youth – especially those without the Latina skill set to make intelligent decisions – men in the White House are at risk. Imagine nominating a judge who would sit in judgment on attorneys of his sex! That’s biting the hand that fed you.

He accepts all invitations to travel outta here does he not? That means that Biden and Pelosi are all we have in the immediate area. His majesty is still in control but in the time it takes for him to jet home on Airforce Fun, the kids could have ruined everything.

  77. ohiobelle says:

    hello foxwood.

My 5 year old isn’t afraid of the UN so why would we think Mahmoud Ahmadinejad would be afraid?? lol

  78. SamHenry says:

Belle – Fox – I’m being dragged off by two hungry dogs. I’ll be ok, I can handle them. BBL

  79. ohiobelle says:

I just love how we become sitting ducks while he spends taxpayers money kissing butts and apologizing for our sins. Biden and Pelosi had to stay behind to make sure there was still a crisis so they can continue to spend our money. God forbid we didn’t have a crisis in our near future.. oh we do, Cap & Trade!!

  80. ohiobelle says:

Bye Sam! I know what you mean. I am having the same distraction on my end. I will be back after a bit.

For once it appears Joe Biden was and is Right!!!!

Lets face it, Barrack showed the whole world what a weak, inexperienced man he was as he bowed down and shook hands with those who’s only desire is to destroy our way of life.

What they don’t realize is that Obama is doing that all by himself single handily by bankrupting our ability to mobilize any real Military defense.

So, N. Korea will make their move into S. Korea, China will take Taiwan, Russian will reclaim its former states, Iran will Launch against Israel, Pakistan will fall to the Taliban, Afghanistan will become a global hot spot, Iraq will return to its former self, and Japan and Australia will be forced into a defensive mode. The US will need to defend, Taiwan, S.Korea, Afghanistan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Japan, and Georgia under our NATO alliance. That is the recipe for World War 3 and a way for the World to solve its financial worries. Remember it took World War 2 to take the US out of the Depression. I know this may all sound far fetched and I hope it is. One thing for sure, everything is being put in place for just a scenario for WAR,

It will be interesting to see if, after the sand settles following Le Trip and “THE ADDRESS TO THE UN-INFIDELS,” Obama will get his hand slapped by the gun toting, rocket shooting, women suppressing Arabs of his dreams. One thing is clear, it is not easy to see les terrorists for the camel gas.

  127. SamHenry says:

One thing you will never see is a camel suicide bomber. They are more valuable that their brothers; unlike their brothers, camels can’t be taken in by their smooth talk and bumpy vests.

Oh, my, the puce colored burka I ordered through VF arrived in the mail today. I can’t wait to wear it to school in the fall if I become a substitute teacher.

  129. fox, can you really? c’mon brother…

SH, back yard? about? or the latest post? I saw one and usually I reply directly to the blogger. I will check.

  130. karmahd says:

AAAA, we have THREE MEN HERE!! Don’t forget the Karma, it will bite you!!

  131. karmahd says:

    Four forgot Indy

  132. SamHenry says:

Sami – hi fin man. Hey I want you to know my final observation about Obama’s Normandy Gig.

I got there ahead of you sir, sans helicopter. I went to the lady’s room and lo, each piece of the rather stiff toilet paper was printed with “property of the US Government.” I brought a few home for show and tell at school. If you, mr Prez, have sent the making of these offshore, I will be literally pissed. I will not so much as wipe my ….. with anything made in China under the current trade imbalance. And do not think to set up these same trade policies among the sand dunes.

  133. SamHenry says:

    peepers under the bus, karm?

  134. karmahd says:

    Hellllooo is anybody in there

  135. SamHenry says:

EGAD the dogs are at the door; they want dinner. Later lads and WG.

  136. karmahd says:

    Love this version…

  137. Karma, love it too man.

  138. rosehips says:

    hey hey hey!!!

had a great day. I posted a few pics of my grad and his bro and even me! That’s rare. lol.

Jonah went through with the graduation and they had some weather related issues and postponed that dang thing by over an hour. boring……

here’ the link to my wordpress blog:

    karma, there you go…

  139. Now I gotta look up some guitar music. Did I ever tell you guys I play er um, used to play a 12 string?

In my younger days…Ah youth it’s fleeting.

  140. Foxwood says:

    Here’s a Pink Floyd for ya…

  141. rosehips says:

hmmm…just left a comment but it had links. I guess vf will have to authorize.

here’s the link to my wordpress post from my son’s graduation:

  142. rosehips says:

wah, none of my comments are posting?

  143. ok fox hope it’s as good as the last

  144. rosehips says:

    how are you all tonight?

  145. rose, i see a rose.

  146. Foxwood says:

Rose just upset the guy girl ration… 😦

  147. rosehips says:

coool warranton. a rose is a rose is a rose….

  148. SamHenry says:

I see your post now, Rose. Hi all, Warrant is not the only one who can hop in a convertible and drive through! YEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  149. Foxwood says:

HMMMM… The n got on the end of ratio. :-/

  150. rosehips says:

    ahhh foxy, sorry 😦

  151. Foxwood says:

    Hey Rose 🙂

  152. ah c’mon fox that is for the days of lucy in the sky with diamonds man, not today.

    Get something else for us.

  153. SamHenry says:

MMMMM what is the ration all about, Fox – ration????

  154. Foxwood says:

We were just discussing how many more gals the guys are here…

  155. SamHenry says:

Oh, I see, you answered. I thought the economy had got so bad I had to eat spam tonight.

  156. rosehips says:

    drive through?

  157. I guess fox is rationing his comments. Gosh I sure hope so. Those ones earlier NEEDED to be rationed! hahaah

  158. rosehips says:

sh, how was your day at the liquidation?

  159. SamHenry says:

Rose – Drive through or by is what I joke with Warrant about. She just drives through – drops a comment and then drives off in her convertible, ears flying in the wind. I want to be a dawg just like her. Drive in, drop a few good comments, drive out and get some work done…

  160. Foxwood says:

WG… I used to listen to that with my headphones on in a stupor.

“and the wind cried back, thankyou”

Now I use it to scare kids on Halloween.

  161. rosehips says:

I actually tried to post a link to my wordpress blog. I have a new blog about my son’s graduation. It includes pics of my sons and includes one of me too.

  162. Foxwood says:

    Drive through rationing…

I think there might be a market for it somewhere.

  163. m2 says:

hey guys… hey rosehips, did you go to the graduation?

  164. SamHenry says:

Oh, Rose, and the drive thru imagery I take to the extent that I promise to have some fast food waiting for her the next time she drives through. I’m not driving through or over anyone’s thoughts or ideas or words.

  165. rosehips says:

dang, everytime I try to post my wordpress blog link, it doesn’t post. I posted a new report about my son’s graduation. It just has 3 pics of Jonah and his brother and me. You will have to follow the link vf has above to see it.

  166. Foxwood says:

Drive through Spam burgers! I think it might out do McDs

  167. SamHenry says:

one spam buger – one with sourcoke and blackened fries at the first window.

  168. m2 says:

rose, y’all are too cute for words!

  169. rosehips says:

yes m2, the graduation was interesting. Go to my tonsofwash wordpress link above to hear more about it.

They had it outside even though thunderstorms were looming. Then they postponed it for over an hour! That was lame. We went into the gym later and it was only Jonah’s friend Ian who actually gave a very amusing speech. All the other speeches were totally LAME!!!

  170. SamHenry says:

Rose – just saw your liquidation question. Not a good day. Did you ever have a 40% off sale and no one came? That’s what happened. I had to leave early because he could not afford to pay me. Life in western NY is rough these days.

  171. rosehips says:

I wish I had got Ian’s speech on tape. It was a riot!

  172. m2 says:

oooh lawwwrd… I brought my Nintendo DS to my brother’s graduation… what speeches?? LOL ..

  173. rose, we can just click on your name and see your post child. I hope! I’m going to try it now.

  174. m2 says:

does Austen get a lot of grief over that nose ring? My brother had those spacer earrings for the last 6 years.. and he just took them out on Easter weekend… and my mom was like “I can see sunlight coming through your earring hole”…

    No joke.

the hole was as big as a dime!

    He says it’ll grow together… but I dunnnooooo…

  175. SamHenry says:

Karm, Fox – on PBS here now (may not be nationwide) there is a long program on Neil Young and his career and from the Squires to Buffalo Springfield.

  176. m2 says:

WG, very in-depth post on the Obama family. Good job.

  177. SamHenry says:

Fox – this is not immigration. They are free to come back anytime. This not the 1960s quota system.

  178. Foxwood says:

The guy gal ratio just all went to hell…. Where did the rest of the guys go?

  179. m2 says:

    well shit.

I just ate a fudgey browning and I’m about to watch some more of my show!! Karma, come back!!!

  180. m2 says:

    well shit.

I just ate a fudgey browny and I’m about to watch some more of my show!! Karma, come back!!!

  181. m2 says:

    double post about fudgey brownies…

it’s time to call it a night… LOL

  182. m2 how many times are you going to say that? hahhahah

yes, don’t tip me, I’m a plaigeriser, hahaha did I spell that correctly?

  183. m2 says:

crap… I was trying to fix my typo in “brownie” and it posted 2x. No one needs to talk about fudgey brownies this much… and yes, I do like to add the descriptive ‘fudgey’… ’cause it makes me laugh.

  184. m2 says:

    where did rosehips go?

  185. m2 says:

    Neil Young is rad.

Well gettin’ off, see you kids tomorrow!

  186. m2 says:

and rosehips, you might have to approve my comments on your post since my handle changed… 😀

  187. Foxwood says:

Young is a good singer player, he just needs to sing it, not bring it. Was I time I used to say Right On man! Then I stopped smoking dope.

  188. rosehips says:

    love neil. right on y’all!

  189. I love Ann Coulter!

  190. karmahd says:

Hi HO off to the beer tap I gooooooo, be back later bye

  191. Foxwood says:

Looks like I picked a bad week to stop smoking dope.

  192. SamHenry says:

It’s always a good week to stop smoking

  193. hey guys, check me out when you can,I’m on a roll, just posted another post.two tonight.

VF, where are you? Ooops, it’s late you are sleeping, hope I didn’t wake you by yelling your name. smile.

  194. Foxwood says:

    Some late nite music…

  195. karmahd says:

    Two O Clock bar music!!

  196. Indycoltsfan says:

Hi Guys , sorry i missed the party again. Lots of good music. I will leave you all tonight with a song.

  197. Indycoltsfan says:

BTW, Foxwood I love ELP. My favorites are “from the beginning” and “Lucky man.”

  198. FYI:
The Time TO DEMAND ACCOUNTABILITY FROM THE GOVERNOR OF YOUR STATE IS NOW surfing the web today, and there were many articles about revolution brewing in the heartland. 2 or 3 more states passed 10th amendment sovereignty resolutions and the fed is being very quiet about it. The governors of two states were quoted as saying they have had it with the feds and their overreaching power. The argument about who has authority to legislate for or against firearm ownership is turning into a cold war between the states and the feds. This may lead to something we least expect. I think we should become warriors in this cold war. Pressure on the feds is a waste of time. I’d concentrate on putting all your efforts on your state to stand firm. I’d also ask if they are aware the feds took states right for themselves in 1920.[ Missouri v. Holland, 252 US 416, 1920, the Supreme Court decided that powers reserved to the States by the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution could be given to the national government by Treaty.] this may make some politicians mad enough to challenge the ruling before the supreme court. If we make enough noise it could turn into something really big with the entire nation watching. It could change the entire political climate in the homeland. We may be able to agitate the state governments into putting the feds in their place.
Government on all levels know the people are a heartbeat away from open rebellion. If we could force the states to go to the supreme court and ask “BY WHAT AUTHORITY DID YOU DESTROY THE CONSTITUTION” we may get it back.

  199. Indycoltsfan says:

Here’s one for foxwood. Another video of the one you posted earlier.

  200. Indycoltsfan says:

Sorry Foxwood! wrong video! I’ll try again. LOL!

  201. Indycoltsfan says:

Dam, What is happing tonight! I’ll try again. Sorry.

  202. Indycoltsfan says:

Ok, It worked this time. LOL!

  203. samiam60 says:

    Good Morning to all.

  204. SamHenry says:

Sami – I was going to bravely guess that those were the fins of a ’69 caddy but then realized they could belong to another brand.

Just a word about the history torturing ceremony in France yesterday. It was disgraceful not only for the lack of an invitation for Queen Elizebth, the ONLY HEAD OF STATE to have participated in the war effort. Prince Charles only participated to the extent of laying a wreath. The regard with which the Brits recognized this event was further made apparent by the lack of the presce of the Dutchess of Cornwall, wife of Prince Charles. Then Prime Minister of Britain flubbed a line and referred to Omaha Beach as OBama Beach. By the time President Sarkozy attempted an embarrassing hi five to President Obama to conclude the ceremony, the total effect this event had on this viewer could best be characterized as “men behaving badly.”

  205. SamHenry says:

Sam, I think I am the “all.” Karm’s vids came early AM before he went to bed or whatever.

  206. SamHenry says:

Sam – This ole dawg has to go back to bed. See ya later gater!

  207. samiam60 says:

You are Correct, this is the tail lights of a 69 Cadillac.

  208. samiam60 says:

59 Cadillac I meant to say.

  209. Foxwood says:

ZZZzzzZZZzzzZZZzzz(Bo Derick running on the beach)ZZZzzzZZZzzzZZZzzz

  210. VotingFemale says:

    Hi Dear,

I have to balance real life with blogging and commenting thus I sign off early from the computer… sometimes I will check in just to see what is going on but it is rare for me to be on in the evenings…

I checked out your blogpost! WOW!!!

    warrantonegirl says

hey guys, check me out when you can,I’m on a roll, just posted another post.two tonight.

VF, where are you? Ooops, it’s late you are sleeping, hope I didn’t wake you by yelling your name. smile.

  211. VotingFemale says:

    lol @ Bo Derick comment.

    men… gotta love ’em

  212. Foxwood says:

ZZZzzzZZZzzz… WHA-huh? Whyd ya wake me up for… I was having such a good dream!

  213. VotingFemale says:

And wGirl, yes… this goes beyond partisan politics… and goes towards Federal Overstepping the Bounds of Power at the expense of State Governments.

And as I understand it this started when the law was changed from State Congress’ chosing Federal Legislators and having state elections of Federal Legislators… when that happened out of state money and influence was the tipping point of the elections of FED legislators based on groups of Power Elites with the money to control who gets elected for profit and power.

This whole thing was destined to come to a head… and as I have said before… Obama is the worst thing that has happened to the DEM party… He is a pure Socialist, straight up… and a Racist… hell bent on pay back to Free Marketeers (Capitalism) and the Conservative Party (insert “Whitey” and African American “Traitors”)

This is still a Nation of Law… and huge numbers of voters are leaving the DEM Party and are going Independent…

Case in point, AngelaB, who commented here yesterday…

These folks are not Marxists or Socialists… and will not give their loyalty to such extremists.

The DEM Party is losing it’s base… and in their normal mode of operation hide that fact from the Public… just as they declared there was no party split when Obama was handed an unearned nomination and the DNC threw Hillary under the bus.

  214. rosehips says:

    hey all. good morning.
I volunteered at Project Graduation this morning. It’s a big all night alcohol-free party. Man there was a lot of food there: pastries galore, everything you can imagine. The door prizes were pretty generous too. Those kids made out like bandits and seemed to have a lot of fun. I came home with a load of leftover ceasar salad. whoopee.

  215. rosehips says:

well, I recognize a snubbing when I see one. Ok, I will just go away now.

But first I will leave this link to a youtube I made. talk about a snubbing. I caught Austin reading some of this blog yesterday after I had left it up on the screen. Then a little later, on the way to graduation, he went on a little rant about my blogging buddies. sorry, but it’s kind of funny….lol

  216. karmahd says:

Rose, I have to agree with his assessment, LOL and what is with the snbbing stuff everyone is reading the morning paper!!

  217. rosehips says:

karma, don’t know. it seems like sometimes you are all having a side convo w/o me. I am feeling sorry for myself I guess. what are you up to today?

  218. VotingFemale says:

Rose? Why are you snubbing me?

    rosehips says

well, I recognize a snubbing when I see one. Ok, I will just go away now.

  219. VotingFemale says:

Good Morning Rose, Karma, Fox, SamH, wGirl!

been in and out… working on “stuff”

  220. SamHenry says:

    Yawn oooooooooooooooooh good morning all.

  221. karmahd says:

Yeah I was reading the paper and cooking some eggs Rose, I got a little buzzzzed last night as you might see from the videos I posted, Looking cloudy here today, I might be forced to clean my house, the man mansion (not really) is in need of a hosedown

  222. SamHenry says:

Pas de gaz today gentlemen, pas de gaz.

  223. rosehips says:

hey vf. just shuffling along this morning. I think I got up too early and on the wrong side of the world. 😉

  224. rosehips says:

karma, yeah a good old hosedown is sometimes what it takes. I wish a woman’s job could be so simple. I’d put all my dishes in the back of the pickup and go to the car wash. heehee

  225. SamHenry says:

With all of this hosing stuff, be very careful. SH is afraid of water and doesn’t know how to retrieve. Somewhere there was “brain washing.”

Sam and Imp had me up and perhaps the neighbors too, barking at a poor orange cat who got into the yard under the fence but who could not find his/her way out – must have been a “his” who would not ask for directions. All of my hosta and ferns – well I will see them next year. I’m sitting here having a self-chat about what is really valuable in life trying to recover. All I can see are trampled hosta. I am so undone, I will never dance again.

  226. VotingFemale says:

As if that does not happen to me…

Major Hugs for my dear friend…

    rosehips says

hey vf. just shuffling along this morning. I think I got up too early and on the wrong side of the world. 😉

  227. karmahd says:

Rose, I wish I could just press a button like the Jetsons and have 10 little robots clean for me, I am not a slob but I HATE TO CLEAN!!

  228. karmahd says:

Sam it is early and I am hung over and not that sharp yet, ARE YOU OK??

  229. VotingFemale says:

Karma… you are just too funny!

    “Man Mansion” indeed…

TV is probably parked on the Man Channel

  230. SamHenry says:

I cannot tell you how undone I am about the boyish behavior of Sarkozy and Obama. We have a couple of cliquish, self-loving kids in charge of the free world. There is no leadership – just performance to look like it. But to see these boys reviewing troops…. Chilling. One of the US vets died the night before the ceremony – probably of shock. I think it was lovely, however, he was among his buddies and just drifted away in his sleep.

  231. rosehips says:

karma, were you a big fan of “the Man Show?” I’m betting on ya my man…lol

  232. VotingFemale says:

frankly a man who likes to clean is _______ !

  233. VotingFemale says:

I dont “like” to clean… but I “dislike” having a dirty house… ergo… clean house wins over not liking to spend my time cleaning.

The lesser of two evils lol

  234. rosehips says:

Is this a game vf? Ok, hmmmm… let’s see, fill in the blank.
a man who likes to clean probably has a centerfold of mr. clean hanging in his locker. mr. clean in the sauna. without his uniform. heehee.

vf said: frankly a man who likes to clean is _______ !

  235. karmahd says:

Man show had its moments ziggy ziggy zah, but for the most part that came out after I was out of COLLEGE, LOL.

The cleaning thing sucks but when you have a GF that you could eat off her floors, she can only tolerate the “mess” for so long before she blows, and that is not a play on words!!!

  236. SamHenry says:

Thank you for you care of my psyche, Karm. I am concerned myself. At 2:30 am and again at 4:00 running around my back yard not always successful in dodging poops, dressed in my night gown wearing snow boots – the only “shoes” at the door wielding a long broom yelling like a banshee. I could easily have sacraficed all three of those animals to the god of sleep.

  237. VotingFemale says:

yard work is a joy for me… I love spending time working outside and having a cool looking yard and nice flower beds and the like… and love having a nice small vegetable garden.

  238. rosehips says:

not a cleaning freak, like clean house, never seem to get it clean enough, then I have to start all over again. The cleaning never effin’ stops.

  239. VotingFemale says:

I blame that on Obama and his “popularity contest” mentality. That is why Obama can not stand criticism of any kind… what makes it powerful to justifiably criticism him.

His primary strength is his popularity… thus going after his popularity is a strength in itself.

    SamHenry says

I cannot tell you how undone I am about the boyish behavior of Sarkozy and Obama.

  240. SamHenry says:

VF – love the garden myself in between July and August when trees and grasses are not active in the pollen arena. We share that in common during daylight hours. At night, chasing dogs and cats, well, I am blinded by a different perspective and am obsessed with the correct spelling of sacrifice.

  241. Foxwood says:

    Rose said,
“I came home with a load of leftover ceasar salad.”

I thought they finished him off years ago?

  242. VotingFemale says:

Rose… I run an powered air filter to help control the dust… and it has cut down on dust accumulation rate by at least 50% or more… probably more.

And I accepted that the house will never be ready for a visit from the folks at House Beautiful… but it is “clean.”

Thus I only clean behind and under the stove and refrigerator every six months.

  243. Foxwood says:

I make my cats clean the house. I also use them for throw rugs.

  244. karmahd says:

SAMHenry the closer you get to all this the more it does not make sense, and if one is capabable of logic and sees the world on a meta-process (of the whole) you cannot help but be dismayed!!!

It is so transparent as to the motives not only of our President, but the politicians on the world stage, one just wants to take a bandanna and a stick and hop on a train to the unknown.

When I get to that point it is a clear sign that I am over thinking my importance in this process, I can understand it, I can voice my disagreement and short of anything radical that is really all one can do until it is time to vote. Unfortunately, the process of turning around out government, will take decades, and a large movement will need to take place, the current public apathy and ignorance as to TRUTH, regardless of the party will even further delay that utopia. My mantra is I am in my early 50’s, I am going to live it up until I die, and I plan on dieing with nothing but moths in my pockets!! Live for today, tomorrow will always be there, well not always…

  245. SamHenry says:

Good point, VF. Going after the popularity factor will be another critical area. He thinks it’s cool to thumb his nose at tradition.

Perhaps more focus on the creators of the creators of the popularity machine to expose them as the iron fist beneath the velvet glove – as almost puppet masters. Their support perhaps even makes Obama feel secure and cocky. Yes, the chief of staff and the head of his on-line empire.

  246. VotingFemale says:

I have been reading that there is thinking amongst companies… that moving their employees off shore to continue working for their company is a viable push back against the Socialists.

  247. Foxwood says:

    Karma said.
“It is so transparent as to the motives not only of our President, but the politicians on the world stage, one just wants to take a bandanna and a stick and hop on a train to the unknown.”

I go to other blogs and it’s like they are oblivious. Somehow, he is able to hypnotize half of the population.

Did I say I go to other blogs? I mean I hear from other people that go to other blogs…

  248. VotingFemale says:

Who would balk at say working in Thailand making $50 grand to $150 grand, depending on one’s actual job… and living like royalty due to the very low cost of living and taking the tax dollars with them?

  249. karmahd says:

VF please mark 15 demerits for Foxwood, he was blogging with “others”

  250. Foxwood says:

That would make an American a target for sure tho…

  251. SamHenry says:

Karm – ” cat can look at a king.” And a cat – and also a dog … can hope to have some impact else there is only slavish obedience. The key, in my outrageously super ego driven opinion is hooking up with others of the same view. That is the “active” participant part. But remember – the writings of Thomas Payne – very influential in his time as will be VF in hers leading her vociferous and prolific confreres who don’t subscribe to “Good Housekeeping.”

  252. SamHenry says:

VF has pointed out the need for joining with others just within the last few days.

  253. rosehips says:

yeah foxy is right. an american making that kind of dough living like royalty in Thailand is a sure target. Thailand is pretty unstable right now.

  254. SamHenry says:

VF I CANNOT move offshore. There wasn’t even good deli in Philadelphia. I had to come home to New York and that’s not chopped liver.

  255. rosehips says:

American exiles in other countries had better invest in some good quality armor. They will need it.

  256. VotingFemale says:

    Karma… consider this…

Every time Obama sees his popularity start slipping in polls he has no direct influence over.. he counters with televised activities like going on the Jay Leno show… and having hand picked “Town Meetings” which are staged televised events of Obama Worship!

But like Hitler… who came to power via his popularity and ability to deliver stirring speeches… it is his Actions that will be his undoing…

There are still living breathing Hitler Worshipers walking the Earth to this day… and Charles Manson has his fans… and women who want to marry him.

And regardless of anything harmful Obama does… there will be people… with blogs …who will idolize him no matter what.

This is above their Obama Worship… the reality is… the majority of Americans are not going along down that Marxist/Socialist path once their eyes are opened up…

That is why I blog… to open as many eyes as possible using facts and logic… and discrediting the Obama worship for what it is… Cultism.

  257. samiam60 says:

Your supposed to clean under the Fridge and Stove?

    Vf sais:

Thus I only clean behind and under the stove and refrigerator every six months.

  258. SamHenry says:

You are quite right, Rose. And the companies should be prepared as is the military to make provision for visitation rights home and for mothers to take maternity leave in the US.

Rose, I feel so snubbed – and I feel so bad too. We cross-snubbed each other this am although I think we both said “hi all.”

  259. rosehips says:

sh, you just have to forget about NY delis when you go overseas. Focus on all the delicacies that each country offers. Yum.

  260. karmahd says:

Samhenry, I am not a passive observer of the or passive aggressive, or I would not be on this blog. I think we kind of had this discussion or began to, when you have a nation of individuals who are swayed by propaganda, and the power of that propaganda is creating belief in a set of platforms, to bring to light with logic and clear purpose where that platform is NOT for the betterment of society is a noble cause, if it is tempered toward the process and no so much the individual. Obama is just one of the many in this machine, he is a figurehead, a mouth, he is not the brains behind this, lets dig up the roots and do that consistently, that I believe I am attempting to do. This is a deep cancer that needs to be cut out or cured, and we are the host, and oblivious as a sum part of the whole that we are even infected. Daunting task!!

  261. SamHenry says:

I’m the same way here, Rose. I enjoy all manner of exotic foods and then, wham, it hits. You are quite right about others, young others. But aside from new ideas, I am not open to much that is new.

  262. SamHenry says:

VF re your comment on popularity – and that it was the element that brought Obama to power.

It is exactly what Jefferson feared. An uneducated public is ripe for being swayed by well spoken dictators.

  263. VotingFemale says:

    yes, Sam…

    samiam60 says

Your supposed to clean under the Fridge and Stove?

  264. karmahd says:

Hey VF I am with you, those are the results to the superficial actions of the politicians, they will via there actions continue to step in shit. But these guys are all backed by other GUYS, lets not forget them. Who is telling Obama what to say and why, as Marx said, “to discern motive follow the money”, who is to gain by this socialization of our government?

  265. karmahd says:

Hey Sam I had dust Buffaloes under my fridge, a small herd of brown fuzzies

  266. VotingFemale says:

    Ohhhh… SamH!!!!!

gads… the guilt tripping is way funny!

    I love you too dear!

And Jefferson was a very insightful man…

Most people who voted for Obama actually voted for his speech making ability and charm and some along racial lines.

But the bottom line… Americans like being Americans… and what Obama and the his gang of socialists are doing is steering the boat off the course Americans by and large see themselves as the path they choose for themselves.

The 2010 elections will be critical… as will the 2012 elections.

  267. SamHenry says:

Karm – those behind Obama are those creators of the Obama myth – his chief of staff and his chief of the online machine.

  268. VotingFemale says:

Sarah Palin is the Joan of Arc in all this…

Whether or not she ever becomes President is moot.

that her popularity is huge and for the right reasons scares the Image Crafters of Obama out of their minds…

they must have pooped their pants when she was selected as VP

  269. VotingFemale says:

I need to run… time to get going out the the Sunday Driving Range outing and work on the shots I flubbed last week! lol

See you all later! And keep the faith…

Obama is losing… and the Rasmussen Reports’ Obama Job Approval Index tells the story.

He started with a +30 Index… and last week it reached a new low of ZERO…

  270. SamHenry says:

Notice how the chief of staff – a very powerful figure – has been working below the surface recently. You don’t hear about him. We need to ferret him out. We need to review the my Barack website for a tinge o f pressure group activity. I sincerely opine that their activities approach pressure group status. I will try to get a definition about what is considered a special interest group.

Meanwhile, I am again dealing with restless dogs who want food and another go at the cat. I must resolve this. The specter of me in my nightgown during the day is hideous.

  271. karmahd says:

If anyone is looking for an understanding of the dynamics of power, I suggest reading the following chapter in this book “power vs force” by David R. Hawkins, actually read chapter four, the rest is rather intense but this chapter goes thought the different levels of emotions and though processes behind them, it is the only book I have ever read that made any sense as to the actions of individuals who try to obtain power by using force or try to change opinion via that method as well.

“Force is seductive because it emanates a certain glamor, whether that glamor is manifested in the guise of false patriotism, prestige, or dominance; conversely, true power is often quite unglamorous. What could be more glamorous than the Luftwaffe or the Gestapo of Nazi Germany during World War II? These elite branches embodied romance, privilege, and style, and certainly had enormous force at there disposal-including the most advanced weapons of the day and an esprit de corps that cemented their might, the weak were attracted to this and would even die for this, but the cause not based in truth failed in the end”

Interesting dynamics of the use of force; IE politics to gain power, in the end it never sticks!!

  272. SamHenry says:

Rose, I am so with you on so many things – especially cultural. But please excuse a lapse this am. There is perfectly good cooked turkey for a sandwich in the refridge. However, I am off for a Reuben Sandwich – open face (so they are forced to make it more generous) at the local deli. Later all and may your lunches all be satisfying, you day filled from rest from cleaning and the weather be amenable to outside pursuits up to and including reading in the shade of tree about radicals. Bye ROSE et al.

  273. SamHenry says:

    Karm – good reference.

  274. rosehips says:

lol sh, what an excellent idea! I think I will take my book outside and start to delve. Then I will notice weeds in my garden and beds that have yet to be planted and I will perhaps get motivated to fork the soil. Yes it will all parlay into a force of nature starting with a cup of coffee, a book and a lawnchair. see you all later! have fun on the range vf. enjoy that samwich sh, karma, you floatin’ the boat today?

  275. karmahd says:

To all read George Wills Op/Ed piece in today’s paper…

  276. SamHenry says:

I am watching Fareed Zakaria. This is my passion. Why? Because he does include all views from all over the world. Today he has a panel from around the Muslim world. One good point of view Juan Cole blogger – Professor on Islamic studies u. of Michigan: “Obama seems to be positioning himself as the opinion maker for the Muslim world. And this is, of course a danger.

I have to agree with many that the focus should be on getting the Israeli – Palestinian peace initiative underway again. The problem of Iran is almost a side issue to this in terms of maintaining long-term peace. If Iran does not enter into negotiations, it is not a difficult thing to threaten and/or take military action at such a stance. Hanan Ashrawi of Palestine is odious to many but I think that her comment that Israeli Occupation undercuts Israel’s standing is correct. There was always Benny Morris of Israel who questioned the value of emphasizing the peace process since it will take another 100 years to resolve. Personally, I cannot understand why there cannot be a two front effort. Wars are fought that way. They did refer back to Eisenhower and how he operated even evenhandedly with players in the Middle East. Farheed had 7 members of his panel of pro-muslims from all over the world. We need to hear their voices in order to understand the entire situation. The voice of radicals and terrorists cannot drown out civilized discussions of the issues. Many would label some on the panel as terrorists. I don’t feel that way as long as they are entering into a spirited debate. At the very least it is important to “know thine enemy” for those who would disparage this panel and discussion. My enemy right now is the President’s Chief of Staff who is carrying power and opinion in ways unheard of for anyone previously in such a position. And he does so in both domestic and international arenas. Chow for now my friends. ROSE – I am about to join you in reading today. Karm – I will read George Wills Op/Ed – I love him. I’ll be he doesn’t have a dust buffalo anywhere in his house.

  277. SamHenry says:

Fareed now has an economist on the show today to assess the economic meltdown. Michael Lewis [book Liar’s Poker] has said there will be another reckoning on down the road that the stress test was phony. Further, there is complete lack of insight into financial corporate profiles and a lack of honesty in revealing just what is on their books. On the future of Wall Street his view is that there is a general sense that risk taking will be regulated. However, it is hard to believe risk takers will totally cease the ways that brought us to where we are now. Hedge funds will continue. The people who created the problem are so powerful in involvement in trying to clean this up. No independent voices in decision making. Wall street too cozy with regulators. SEC is impotent. Sec of treasury will end up on Wall street so this will influence his behavior. Finance became detached from the productive society. Need to get back to idea that finance is the handmaiden of productive society. Really smart people in a position of privilege will find ways of getting around the new rules. Lewis went on to say that we are living through a period of political idealism – 20 years from now a look back and assessment might ask the question – did the culture change or just the rules.

All of the above raise question we need to consider and answer from another point of view.

Fareed Zakaria’s show repeats later on Sundays. All of his shows are summarized on his CNN web page.

The pressure to politicize the economy is spreading. John Sweeney, head of the AFL-CIO, and Gerald McEntee, head of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees — which is government organized as an interest group to lobby itself — have demanded the resignation of two directors of Citigroup. Their premise is that businesses receiving direct government subventions should conform to the wishes of the president’s allies. – George Will – 6/7/2009

Thanks for the above, Karm. What a mess. WARRANT – where are you to agree with me on this?

  280. SamHenry says:

    Back outside! Later all

HeHeHe – I suggested all go outside. Ah, Ha – now I am in the spotlight on the blog. Few know I will be reading “The Prince” under the trees!

VF, when you get back from golf- gold star comment of the day award… lol

  286. samhenry says:

    Great choices, my FOX

Karm – so nice of you to remember mother even if it is in connection with cleaning. Mothers never acknowledged the art of procrastination. If they had, they might not have missed out on some wonderful and delicious experiences.

m2 I just read this this am – where is your quote from?

  288. karmahd says:

Ahh Well finished working, can’t make up my mind if I will go on the motorcycle or drop the boat in?? Maybe just to to the beach bar and have sushi and drink. Wonder what “others” are stewing or doing, Karma

  289. samhenry says:

Well, I’m headed out for a late dinner ’round about sevenish with friends at a really neat old hotel on an old spur of a canal not here anymore “The National Hotel.” It has not yet been “gentrified.” The bar is wonderful – dark wood, candle lit and everyone lit. It’s a lot of fun and very good food. Been cleaning up the back yard – dust bunnies there and that cat from the night before. I put the dogs in the clink and ushered her out the gate. Enough!

Hey Palin in Auburn, NY south and east of me. She drew a large crowd. The election season is open.

Well dang, it sounded like I had read it in some upbeat rag! I’m getting really senile. Or perhaps the allergy meds. Really, VF writes well and it is wonderful to have such a pace horse. Whatcha up to today – any freedom to do something solo – a time all moms need.

  303. m2 says:

I’m left-handed so I pull the club through pretty good when I play right-handed.

  304. rosehips says:

lol vf, did you have a some more microbrews after whacking on them golf balls? (hiccup)

  305. m2 says:

hey rosehips are you going to watch Milk too? I want to see that movie…

  306. VotingFemale says:

No brewskys… we went for bar-b-q and iced tea afterwards!

  307. VotingFemale says:

Yeah, M2… I could have gone either way with golf… and have used both left and right handed clubs… but I was given a set of right handed ones and have been stuck on that since… except for putting… I freak people out when I borrow a left handed putter when playing with a leftie and putt out! hahahahahaha

  308. samhenry says:

VF – there is nothing so fierce as a woman scorned. I will be writing up a little something for the blog about Obama’s excellent adventure with Sarkoze. It is what he did not do. He paid little respect to the Brits or their Queen in London; he did not send some signal that he was displeased at the lack of an invitation for the Queen in France. It is so clear to me now and of course the one voice on Fareed today that called out “he has made of himself the opinion maker for the Muslim world.” Well, in ignoring the ruling Brits, he was reaching out to the fastest growing group in Britain – the Muslims. Believe me, you will be hearing from me on this one in a calmer mode. He has also ripped apart the Anglo-French detente. And the gum chewing – an outward and visible sign of his inward rot. Stay tuned.

  309. m2 says:

I put left handed too 😉

I have my grandpa’s putter… my dad shortened it I think… it just gets so hot and humid here…

My dad likes that weather though.

  315. VotingFemale says:

The driving range where we go has a great practice putting green… with 8 cups… numbered…

So for two dollars a piece we can play a putting game as long as we want… putting from hole to hole keeping score.

That is an unbeatable deal and it is great practice at the same time.

  316. m2 says:

LOL … we have a practice course here called “Different Strokes” … me and hubs crack up every time we drive by it.

  317. VotingFemale says:

M2, gotta go out early in the morning with that humid weather… We played a lot of golf in Florida and thus got used to the hot humid weather… I always wore a sweat band to keep the perspiration out of my eyes…

  318. VotingFemale says:

    That is too funny, M2!

  319. m2 says:

yes, I believe my dad and his golf buddies go to Florida just for the heat… they’re nuts.

I’m quite a flunky at sports you know… hence the whole “art” thing… LOL …

  320. m2 says:

I had to do it all too… but when I broke down on my knees as my dad was pitching a soft ball to me and started crying, and my mom ran out all native- then I got to quit all sports… and I joined a choir.

  326. rosehips says:

I don’t think I could golf righty. I’m sure I’d be about as good as if I tried batting righty, which is not good at all. never could play field hockey either cuz they don’t make those clubs for lefties. maybe they do now. hockey I used a lefty stick. I guess I’m a lefty through and through. hahaha

  327. m2 says:

VF, who is your favorite golfer??? I really like Tiger because of his attitude and determination.

  328. VotingFemale says:

used lefty clubs are generally less expensive…. which is nice.

I was born lefty… and had to switch due to a fracture.

  329. m2 says:

see now rosehips if you play golf right handed and are left handed- you are at an advantage! Because your arm is much more powerful.

    I play guitar right-handed too…

  330. rosehips says:

foxy, been listening to eric burdon and the animals in my car for a bit.

my younger brother is a jock and he plays golf a lot. I’m sure he’s good cuz he’s good at all sports.

  331. m2 says:

foxwood sucks about your internet… having nightmares of dial up! Remember those days all?

  332. m2 says:

I should check out Palin’s twitter and sign up too! She’s awesome.

  333. VotingFemale says:

    Tiger is my now favorite…

But I was in love with Payne Stewart…

so dashing in his period golf outfits…

He was a modern day pro golfer and purist who believed one needed to be dressed the part… such was his love for the game… my God rest his soul. He died a tragic death.

  334. rosehips says:

yeah m2, but some things you can’t change at this point. what would be the point?

I never really played guitar but when I tried, I used a right handed guitar and that is the most natural for me now. I guess it’s what you get accustomed to.

Jonah is watching “Defiance” It’s good. I am not following it too closely though.

  335. rosehips says:

I hear twitter is addictive. I’m staying away.

  336. rosehips says:

My neighborhood only got high speed two years ago. I remember dial-up all too well. ach.

  337. m2 says:

    I know VF I was heart-broken when I heard about his death… 😦

    He was awesome.

  338. rosehips says:

was it a plane crash that payne stewart died in? I remember when he died but forget the cause. I suppose I could google it….

  339. m2 says:

Oh man, 2 years ago!! I remember dial up about 10 years ago… still technology moves fast!

  340. VotingFemale says:

And Tiger has the most endearing smile in all of sports… he is a True Legend in his own time.

  341. m2 says:

I’ve always loved Tiger not for his game but for his passion and his dedication and his entire attitude. He is a total package Role Model!

  342. rosehips says:

heck, I was using a radio phone about 12 years ago. It seems like light years ago.

  343. m2 says:

    lol rosehips

  344. VotingFemale says:

Payne Stewart was aboard a Lear type jet that lost cabin pressure… which killed him and all on board… the jet continued on auto pilot till it ran out of fuel and crashed.. several states past it’s destination… the air force scrambled fighter jets to fly formation with it to try to figure out what was going on… that was recent post 911…

    Seriously tragic… I cried and cried…

  345. rosehips says:

    Tiger is the golf man.

  346. VotingFemale says:

in fact it is making me tear up just thinking about it…

  347. m2 says:

sounds like the cause of that trans-Atlantic French flight was loss of cabin pressure too…

  348. m2 says:

VF, I think I teared up too… and I don’t even watch golf. I just do when I’m around my dad and he’s watching. He always pointed out Payne telling me how amazing he was. That’s how I know who he is…

  349. rosehips says:

so how does the cabin suddenly lose pressure? Through a malfunction, or human error?

  350. VotingFemale says:

I hope they find that black box, M2…

I doubt it was Al Qaeda… else they would have taken credit for it.

  351. m2 says:

sounds like the plane was going faster than their mechanical instruments read, and when that happens- the pieces start to break apart (if they are going through a storm), I think breaking apart of the plane caused the cabin pressure loss, which knocked everyone out- and then it totally broke apart.

But going too fast in a thunderstorm was the catalyst I think.

  352. VotingFemale says:

Rose, with the Payne Stewart situation, I recall it was loss of oxygen… not actual air pressure… a malfunction of some type…

  353. m2 says:

    so sad…

  354. Foxwood says:

Do you know what Tiger Woods and Jennie from ‘I Dream of Jennie’ have in common?

    They’ve both blown Masters…

I know I’m gonna get a beating on that one. 🙂

  355. VotingFemale says:

Riding motorcycles is a bigger gamble than I think I am willing to take. I guess I’m too chicken.

  368. Me says:

But that was very funny! I give credit when credit is due LOL

    On topic….
Since Obama gives the excuse that business comes before pleasure, then why the hell he took Michelle w/him ? She should had stayed her ass at home (Chicago).

He said that he can hold hands & look in the eyes when he is out of office. If that’s the case, then why the hell is he taking Michelle on dates on tax payer money?

  372. arlenearmy says:

Senator Grassley said that Obama got nerves to go sight seeing in France …

  373. samhenry says:

Good to see you, Arlene. I’m pulling a late night for two more minutes. I have read the article you refer to. It does seem kind of hypocritical for Prez Obama to ask captains of industry to get rid of their corporate jets and then run around abusing the privilege of having Air Force Fun. The Prez has just finished another trip abroad and with each one, he seems to distance himself further from traditional allies in order to reach for new ones. That is not bringing people together.

Another blogday. Good morning to those to come after this – I will check back later.

Good Morning to all my friends here at our quest to stay Free. I have a new look coming that will terrorize all the little doggies avatars today. Not to worry though as he is neutered and very very non aggressive.

Morning SH, and Sam, I see that new avatar! Maybe I should change mine to my Finny (autralian shep) he could take on that wolf!!

I’m just going around and checking out these great links our friends posted last night.

  377. m2 says:

well well… isn’t it just Deja Vu??? After all, the largest stimulus package in history was rushed through Congress only to wait on Obama’s Valentine’s Chicago weekend!

WASHINGTON – Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley says that President Barack Obama “got nerve” to go sightseeing in Paris while telling lawmakers it’s time to deliver on a health care overhaul.

  378. samiam60 says:

Greywolf is back and alive and well. He is not looking for any confrontation from autralian shep as he has no b@lls anymore.

  379. m2 says:

    check this out:

Gigot: It’s only the largest entitlement expansion since LBJ, but President Obama and congressional Democrats want to push their health-care overhaul through Congress before it breaks for this summer. Though specifics of the plan have yet to be revealed, the Senate plans to begin marking up legislation as soon as next week. Why the rush, and what’s likely to be in the bill?

Former New York state lieutenant governor Betsy McCaughey is a patient advocate and chairman for the Committee to Reduce Infection Deaths. She joins me now.

Welcome, good to have you back.

    McCaughey: Thank you.

Gigot: The Obama administration is making a kind of a core argument on health-care reform. It’s saying if we insure more people, bring more people under government subsidies, we can save money. Save money–is that possible?

McCaughey:: No, it is very important that everyone has coverage. But it will not save money. Once people are insured, according to the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office, they will use about 70% more health services than they currently do. The most problematic area of this effort is this: The president wants to slow the flow of dollars into the health-care system.

    Gigot: Right.

McCaughey: That’s going to force cuts in hospital budgets, fewer nurses on the floor, less diagnostic equipment available, and waits for treatment.

Gigot: But if you talk to the Obama administration people, they say, Look, we spend 18%, almost one out of every five dollars of this whole economy, on health care. And they say, That’s too much, because the costs are rising. We’ve got to get this under control.

    McCaughey: Well, actually–

Gigot: Are you saying that’s not the right direction for policy?

McCaughey: No. Americans spend more on health care than Europeans, for example, because they earn more. Ninety percent of the difference in spending is due to higher per capita incomes in the United States. And we spend more, but we also get more. For example, American women have mammograms more frequently. Their breast cancer is detected sooner and treated faster, and they have much better survival rates than in most parts of Europe.

Gigot: So why are costs rising? Because this data I’ve seen show they’ve been rising about 2.7% a year, faster than in the overall economy, the overall prices, since Medicare began in 1965. Why is that happening?

McCaughey: Mostly because of technology. According to the CBO, again, about two-thirds of the annual increases in health-care costs are due to innovation. If you walk into an electronics store, you will see products that were not there 10 years ago.

    Gigot: Right.

McCaughey: If you walk into the hospital, it is the same thing.

Gigot: And these are things like screenings–MRIs, CAT scans.

McCaughey: Yes. One statistic tells you a lot. In 1980, if you had a heart attack and made it to hospital alive, you only had a 60% chance of surviving for a year. Now your chance of surviving is well over 90%. Nobody wants 1980s health care at 1980s prices.

Gigot: But is this trend, this cost-increase trend–is it sustainable or are we going end up–the argument is we’re going to chewing up more and more of our economy with health care and that will take money away from other things that we need.

McCaughey: Well, in fact, health-care costs are rising much less rapidly than in previous decades. Even though the politicians in Washington from both parties keep using the word “skyrocketing.”

Gigot: So actually, the trend is slowing.

McCaughey: Oh, the trend is very much our friend. In 1970, health care spending increasing 10.5% a year. In 1980, 13%. For last five years, it’s been increasing less than 7%, and in 2007, it reached a new low of 6.1%. So we’re not in a crisis here.

Gigot: Now the administration is talking about a couple of things they can do. They say, Well look, if everybody was as efficient as the famous Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., which is renowned as very good medical center, but if we could be as efficient and spend dollars and get the same outcomes, we could spread that across the whole system, we could save hundreds of billions of dollars. Realistic?

McCaughey: Well, government controls to achieve that kind of efficiency are just too blunt an instrument. The Rand Corp. has done a lot of research on how other countries have tried to achieve this, and they found that never do government controls eliminate inappropriate care. They end up rationing care, mostly based on age. For example, Rand found that cardiac procedures are much less frequent in Canada, but generally because they’re eliminated for most people over age 65.

Gigot: So if you read between the lines here, when people say spend less on health care, they’re really saying ration care, particularly for older Americans?

McCaughey: This is why families really need to pay attention now. The politicians have promised you can keep your health plan if you like it, and that may be true. But when you get to the hospital, you’ll find a lower standard of care. When you limit the flow of dollars, as the president has called for–a 1.5% annual cut in health care growth–you will have less money to spend on everyone. And with 46 million Americans now entering the system as insured, it will mean medical scarcity.

Gigot: What about prevention, which is another theme that people talk about? Look, if we learn to live healthier, just get these tests earlier, we’ll be able to spend less because we’ll take care of the problem before it becomes a big problem like heart disease.

McCaughey: I’m a patient advocate and I believe in prevention because it saves lives. But 80% of precautionary measures do not save money. They actually add to medical costs. For example, most people who take cholesterol- lowering drugs will never get sick. Same is true with mammograms. So prevention is important–

Gigot: So that’s one case where prevention matters and can reduce, or at least postpone the onset of heart disease?

McCaughey: The data are so convincing that prevention adds to medical costs that the only people who ever talk about prevention saving money are politicians.

Gigot: All right, there’s one other thing they’re talking about, which is a new health policy board, which would be somehow set up like the Federal Reserve Board is for monetary policy–you know, seven or eight people, however many, who would make decisions on what to cover, what to pay for and so on and so forth. Do you like that idea?

McCaughey:: No, because it removes it from the democratic process, and it really reminds me of the British NICE Board, N-I-C-E, which doesn’t do very nice things. For example, in 2006, they ruled that elderly people could not get a new drug to prevent the loss of vision from macular degeneration until they had already lost vision in one eye. Then they could get the drug to save the other eye. Well, that’s the kind of rationing that goes on with those boards. And I don’t want to see that happen here.

Gigot: All right, Betsy McCaughey, thanks for being here. This is a debate we really want to follow. It’s so important. Thank you.

I found Sams song this morning…

  385. rosehips says:

our health care system needs to be reformed. How can we continue to allow the system to suck every dollar out of hard working Americans who are faced with catastrophic illness or injury? Is the system just if a tax paying, insurance owning citizen descends into bankruptcy through no fault of their own? Look how many bankruptcies and foreclosures happen to people as a result of catastrophic health related problems? A profit driven system is not working. Any one of us could be next. I wonder if you’d feel the same if it was you?

This ireport by tjc illustrates the problem from his very personal perspective.

  386. rosehips says:

I feel awful for the women journalists. I hope it’s true that now they can receive a pardon and will not actually have to do 12 years of labor. How awful would that be?

  388. Foxwood says:

    Morning Sam, Rose, M2.

For sure a state run health care system will NOT work. Never has, I’ve been to them, It’s not a local problem.

  389. rosehips says:

can we all agree at least that the status quo is NOT working???

  390. m2 says:

I can agree with that rosehips! I got to go take our car to be fixed… bbl.

  391. Foxwood says:

I can work with you on that, Rose. 🙂

  392. Foxwood says:

There’s not a health care system for cars yet…

  393. samiam60 says:

Thank you for the song Foxwood

  394. rosehips says:

there is a health care system for cars foxy. It’s called a “service contract” and it’s a rip off. I’d never buy into it myself.

  395. samiam60 says:

Rose, as bad as our health care system currently is Socialized Medicine is NOT the answer. Sorry to disagree with you but just because there is an alternative to what we now have don’t make it the fix to our problems. I am speaking from experience here Rose and Government Run health care is the worst thing that could ever happen to America. Just because Obama wants it don’t make it right! Please open your eyes and stop rooting for everything the man wants.

  396. samiam60 says:

So many Americans have become like sheep before the slaughter with their blinded eye wishful thinking. Obama is the beginning of the end of the America we all love. Wake up America!

  397. rosehips says:

I think it’s imperative that we somehow put more responsibility into the hands of our people for their own health. Diet and exercise and preventive health will save us so much in health care costs. Let’s insure people for catastrophic care and educate them on the importance of proper diet and exercise. Look at all the diabetes that is caused by poor eating habits and inactivity?
Food stamps should not be used for chips and ice cream. I don’t know how we can really mandate exercise and diet, but we should all have a moral duty to take care of our bodies. They are our temples, no?

  398. rosehips says:

lol sam. I do not root for everything obama wants. I have been an advocate for a single-payer health care system for over 20 years. No system is perfect, but our system is one of the costliest and the quality of care is not even near the top of the best in the world. But the medical industry will try to convince you we are the best. But if health care bankrupts so so many people in this country, shouldn’t we ask why?

  399. samiam60 says:

Rose we are a Free society and will always have those who will not take care of themselves and end up in emergency rooms on the tax payers dime. Nothing new there for sure. Here is an example of a government run health care system. I had to wait 3 years for an MRI because my condition did not justify the expense. (fact) After the MRI was done it was determined that my condition had deteriorated to the point where no treatment would help me. Is this what you want for you and your family Rose?

  400. rosehips says:

I have lived in socialized countries and I don’t know why so many Americans are so fearful of social programs that provide for all citizens. What a horrifying concept! Take care of the health of everyone? Eliminate profit to bring down the costs of maintaining good health? Stop pharmaceutical and insurance companies from gouging us? oh no, say it won’t be!

  401. samiam60 says:

Well being that Big Government wants to regulate everything in this country why have they never ever dared to regulate the American Medical Institute or any other health care provider that is Gauging its patients and Insurance companies?

  402. Foxwood says:

    Rose said,
“I think it’s imperative that we somehow put more responsibility into the hands of our people for their own health. Diet and exercise and preventive health will save us so much in health care costs”

Then you run into the problem of personal freedoms. If you enforce people to eat and exercise, you might as well enforce right thinking, enforce labor, etc.

  403. rosehips says:

No sam, I do not want a poorly state run system. I think that there does need to be constraints on procedures and priorities have to be determined. I am sorry that you were not taken care of properly. I just think the system in Canada and some European countries is superior to ours. Yes, people must wait longer for care, but at least they are not denied care because of lack of money. We might as well just throw all the uninsured under a bus and eliminate them. They are too much of a burden and they are inhibiting the rest of us our right to the pursuit of happiness. damn them.

  404. Foxwood says:

    Rose said,
“I have lived in socialized countries and I don’t know why so many Americans are so fearful of social programs that provide for all citizens. What a horrifying concept! Take care of the health of everyone? Eliminate profit to bring down the costs of maintaining good health”

Waiting lines, denial of care, death.
