Barack Obama? You better be clean, Mister. I mean squeaky clean. ACORN is on its way to collapsing in on itself and the full truth of it’s money trail and dirty deeds is destined for revelation to the world.

Your hip-pocket Media can not save you or ACORN… it is just too big with too many smoking guns with too many internal whistle blowers and too much money… much of it tax payers money …much of it donated money from Socialist big time wheeler dealers like George Soros.

The strings are being tugged daily Barack and the more these strings are pulled, the more other strings appear thus are being pulled.

Do you really think you can cover it up? Give it a try if you think you can… it would make the Watergate Cover Up look like a fairy tale in comparison.

See Barack? You are your own worst enemy… your arrogance leads to assumptions that you are Tefon. Go ahead Mr Telfon… start your cover up.

Let’s see what is being blogged about your friendly neighborhood community organizing 2 billion ton gorrilla… ACORN:

They thought it would go away. They were wrong. Obama and the Left thought ACORN’s scandalous racket was a dead issue. But whistleblowers, investigative bloggers, and talk radio continue to press for transparency and taxpayer accountability. Iowa GOP Rep. Steve King has renewed efforts for congressional hearings into the financial structure of the massive, publicly subsidized activist group and its non-profit affiliates. Judicial Watch sheds light on ACORN’s partnership with the Census. Keep an eye on ACORN’s propaganda role in the Obama push for a government health care takeover. And Glenn Beck spotlights the left-wing strategy session to rescue ACORN.

My column today returns to one of the Obama campaign’s big lies — that Barack Obama “never organized with ACORN” and that ACORN had nothing to do with Project Vote. They were joined at the hip back then and they remain joined at the hip today.

Here’s the text of e-mails from ACORN and affiliate staffers patting themselves on the back for their role in Obama’s voter registration drive (click here for the original). Note the addressees, including Frances Piven. Yes, that Frances Piven:

It’s the coordinated corruption, stupid. And if the GOP doesn’t start fighting back, the consequences will be permanent.

The truth about ObamACORN

Left-wing groups in Washington, D.C., are panicked. The New York Times and other Team Obama whitewashers have tried hard to suppress mounting evidence of legally suspect coordination between the Obama presidential campaign, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), and Obama’s old employer Project Vote (ACORN’s non-profit canvassing arm). Alas, the truth keeps seeping out.

At a closed-door pow-wow hosted Thursday at the left-leaning Center for American Progress, activists discussed how to combat a relentless stream of corruption charges from ACORN/Project Vote whistleblowers. But it’s too late for a reputation bailout. Former Project Vote official and whistleblower Anita MonCrief has harnessed the Internet to crowd-source a massive cache of documents showing ties between Obama staff and the supposedly “non-partisan” ACORN operations.

Last fall, the New York Times abandoned an investigation into whether Obama had shared donor lists with Project Vote, a 501(c)(3) organization that is prohibited from engaging in political activity. Public editor Clark Hoyt earlier this month called it “the tip that didn’t pan out.” Critics suggested that the donor lists could have been compiled through public records. But I have obtained the lists — not only of Obama donors, but also lists of Democratic National Committee, Hillary Clinton, and John Kerry contributors. The records include small donors to the Obama campaign who are not disclosed in public campaign finance databases. It’s information only a campaign could supply.

MonCrief testified under oath last fall that her then-boss, Karyn Gillette, gave her the Obama donor list and told her the campaign had furnished it. Moreover, e-mail between ACORN, Project Vote, and other affiliates, including ACORN’s subsidiary, Citizens Services, Inc. (CSI), make explicit references to working on “Obama campaign related projects.” [Click here for the e-mail.] The “list of maxed out Obama donors” is explicitly mentioned in staff e-mail. [Click here for the e-mail.] Another message from ACORN/Project Vote official Nathan Henderson-James warns ACORN and affiliated staff to prepare for “conservatives…gearing up a major oppo research project on Obama.”

Henderson-James wrote obligatorily, “Understand I’m not suggesting that we gear up to defend a candidate’s campaign.” But that, of course, is exactly what the ACORN enterprise did.

Folks,

The attached link goes to a story on TPM Muckraker that says that conservatives are gearing up a major oppo research project on Obama.

We should prepare for this information being used to tie Obama to the bogus voter fraud charges leveled against PV and ACORN from the last two election cycles. It may or may not gain traction, it may or may not be chosen as a way of attacking him, but I think we cannot afford to ignore the possibility and plan what our response(s) might be (if any).

Understand I’m not suggesting that we gear up to defend a candidateís campaign, but prepare for the scrutiny and possible ancillary attacks that will come our way because of this.

Why does this matter? Transparency, tax dollars, and electoral integrity. ACORN’s own lawyer, Elizabeth Kingsley, acknowledged last year that a vast web of tax-exempt ACORN affiliates were shuffling money around – making it difficult to impossible to track whether campaign rules and tax regulations were being followed. ACORN receives 40 percent of its revenues from taxpayers. Americans deserve to know whether and how much commingling of public money with political projects has occurred over the last four decades – and what role the Obama campaign played in this enterprise.

Remember: Last August, the Obama team admitted its failure to properly disclose $800,000 in payments to ACORN’s subsidiary, CSI – which works hand-in-hand with Project Vote and the ACORN parent organization. Obama mysteriously re-classified the campaign advance work expenditures as “get-out-the-vote” activities. Nary a peep from electoral integrity watchdogs.

Despite heated denials from Team Obama, the links between ACORN, Project Vote, and CSI are inextricable. As Obama himself reminded ACORN leaders after its political action committee endorsed his presidential candidacy in February 2008:

I come out of a grassroots organizing background. That’s what I did for three and half years before I went to law school. That’s the reason I moved to Chicago was to organize. So this is something that I know personally, the work you do, the importance of it. I’ve been fighting alongside ACORN on issues you care about my entire career. Even before I was an elected official, when I ran Project Vote voter registration drive in Illinois, ACORN was smack dab in the middle of it, and we appreciate your work.

As I’ve reported before, the Obama campaign’s “Vote for Change” registration drive, running in conjunction with ACORN/Project Vote, was an all-out scramble to scrape up every last unregistered voter sympathetic to Obama’s big-government vision.

In an e-mail message to whistleblower MonCrief last summer, New York Times reporter Stephanie Strom told the truth: “The real story to all this is how these myriad entities allow them to shuffle money around so much that no one really knows what’s getting spent on what.” By October 6, 2008, Strom had thrown in the towel in the wake of blistering phone conversations with the Obama campaign. She wrote:

“I’m calling a halt to my efforts. I just had two unpleasant calls with the Obama campaign, wherein the spokesman was screaming and yelling and cursing me, calling me a rightwing nut and a conspiracy theorist and everything else…I’d still like to get that file from you when you have a chance to send it. One of these days, the truth is going to come out.”

It’s only just begun.

Yesterday, I posted a few of the e-mails between NYTimes Stephanie Strom and ACORN/Project Vote whistleblower Anita MonCrief. You can download the entire series of message by clicking here. Mike Gaynor has transcriptions of several of the message here, including:

1. “I’m a little miffed with the funders, too. They have to be aware that the grants they make to c(3)s like Project Vote are being funneled to Acorn, which, whether c(4) or simply nonprofit corporation under state law, they aren’t supposed to give money to. ” July 10, 2008 8:18:52 PM

2. “I really want to see 1024 Elysian Fields in New Orleans. It’s the official ‘home’ of something like 50-plus Acorn related entities. The real story to all this is how these myriad entities allow them to shuffle money around so much that no one really knows what’s getting spent on what — and for the charities like the housing orgs, that’s a problem. Charitable money cannot be spent on political activities. It’s a big no-no that can cost organizations their exemptions. July 31, 2008 5:17:49

“When you say the DC Local waives the credit report charges if clients sign up for bank drafts with ACORN, do you mean ACORN actually runs a banking services organization? That would be news to me. The rumor I’ve heard about the chief organizer’s fund is that this is what the Rathkes have used to ‘repay’ Acorn and the two charities that Dale embezzled from. It’s a huge slush bucket controlled by Wade and Maude Hurd, no one else.” July 31, 2008 5:17:49 PM

3. “You are a gold mine! = ).” July 31, 2008 6:06:26 PM

4. “Thanks so much for this. I’m getting a clear picture of what went down last week with the fund raising letter and their scramble to get money somewhere, anyway, in response to my questions. Why not just say they’re having trouble? So are lots of nonprofit groups right now, even those that arent connected to a scandal of any sort. Sometimes the cover up is worse than what’s being covered up.” August 3, 2008 11:51:15 AM

5. “I’m a bit worried about reaching out to Amy if she’s in the process of rejoining Acorn. Doesn’t that mean she’s drunkt the Koolaid?” August 4, 2008 1:40:52

6. “I don’t need to ‘out’ the member who was intimidated. I basically just need her to confirm what I’ve been told. I can then recount the incident as if I know it to be fact.” September 4, 2008 8:59:59 PM

7. “Am also onto the Obama connection, sadly. Would love the donor lists. As for helping the Repubs, they’re already onto this like white on rice. SIGH.” September 7, 2008 1:59 PM

8.”Separately, I’m wondering whether you can give me any more details about the Nov. 2007 meeting with the Obama camp. Where did it take place? Who was involved? Any details would help.” September 12, 2008 3:57 PM

9. “You’re the best. If we could get the names of two or three people who were either sacked or forced out on suspicion of having passed information to me, that would clearly demonstrate the lie.

“What a mess.” September 13, 2008 9:43 AM

  4. VotingFemale says:

The Saga of ACORN and the OBAMA connection is being covered up but to no avail… and thus there will be two tsunamis

    ACORN itself

    And… the politicians/media cover-up of it all

  5. m2 says:

vf, they get away with everything. nothing’s going to happen. Look how many prosecutions there already have been of ACORN. They use poor people, encourage them to collect invalid registrations, and then throw them under the bus when someone goes for the jugular of the ACORN body… they are the worst form of “agency”…

They have been doing this for so long, nothing came of their corruption during the election b/c the liberals don’t care about legality just the result of illegality.

    and they will continue.

    Just like high-queen Pelosi…

  6. m2 says:

that’s what’s absolutely cackling hilarious about Obama draping himself in the Constitution symbols and talking about morality. He doesn’t know the meaning of morality.

  7. VotingFemale says:

M2, they are not going to get away with this one dear…

there is serious blood in the water… and when that happens politicians start making decisions about their own careers… go for covering it up or cover my ass and side with the ACORN investigation.

This is so totally beyond voter registration fraud it is insane

  8. rosehips says:

Poor ACORN. So misunderstood and maligned. They need to disband and start from scratch and eliminate mismanagement and corruption.

Community organizing does a lot of good for some of the neediest in our society. It empowers people to get involved and become part of the solution.

I don’t agree with making it too easy for people with limited incomes to buy a house. I think we need to change how our society puts so much worth in being a home owner. ACORN should concentrate on renter’s rights more and less on helping poor people to procure loans.

  9. rosehips says:

Giving quotas and incentives for registering voters invites fraud. Incentives help get results, but there will always be those who will deceive in order to get their unjust rewards. There is greed and corruption at every level. I don’t know if we can ever rid ourselves of it.

  10. m2 says:

actually you know I agree with you rosehips…

  11. rosehips says:

    m2, thanks re: my avatar.
I didn’t know who yours was, but I was informed it is the new McCoy, as opposed to the “real” McCoy.

  12. VotingFemale says:

  13. rosehips says:

Here are some of the people that ACORN has empowered and helped to get active in community organizing. There is even on person in Louisville m2.

man my stupid firefox. I don’t know how you guys even use firefox… it makes me feel dirty. Like when I use a PC.

  16. m2 says:

    OMG TOTUS is toooooo funny.

  17. rosehips says:

ACORN hires some of the most unemployable in our society and helps give them a voice and a modicum of self-worth. What would these folks do otherwise? Public assistance, illegal drug trade, prostitution….

  18. m2 says:

I don’t see them as helping… the people they are hiring (the innocents) are the first ones they knock down, steam roll over to get media off the corrupted core. They’ve been corrupted. They are no longer harbingers of what they stand for. The owners, one embezzled millions and was ousted. The second brother is equally corrupt. If this were a private company doing the same- it would be plastered over the airwaves and spewed by liberals, as we do here. Calling out corruption, corruption has on moral equivalency.

  19. karmahd says:

    Those ACORN people are NUTS!!!

  20. m2 says:

all good things can be corrupted…

  21. VotingFemale says:

The Mission statement of ACORN is laudable, Rose.

The problems are what is going on in the background there… and it appears they are victimizing the very people they are supposed to be helping. It is all about money… by rich political power broker insiders at the expense of the ACORN members and the taxpayers who are in the background at ACORN.

but… I expect many folks to want to turn a blind eye… stick their head in the sand.

It will not matter… The corruption of the money people behind the scenes are not going to escape this…

It is not really about quote ACORN unquote… it is about the corruption within that cobweb.

  22. m2 says:

karma I see you as a dog with a toupee! LOL

  23. m2 says:

VF on TOTUS’ blog, his cast of characters!! LOL

    Joe Biden: Joey B, Joe
    Janet Napolitano: Bruno

  25. m2 says:

y’all left me. I sees how it is.

  26. rosehips says:

whereever money is there will be corruption. When i was writing grants up in Northport, I knew how to paint a bleak picture of poverty, lack or community resources and need. It is communities like this that often get disproportionate help because they can’t help themselves.
I think a majority of ACORN people are good people. You can accuse them of intentionally exploiting the people they are helping, but I ask you where you learned that this is happening?

I have personal knowledge of the good ACORN has done, and knew people who worked for them in NYC back in the 80’s and they were not corrupt or conniving. They wanted jobs that were principled and the low pay didn’t matter to them.

  27. karmahd says:

I am sure you know and you might have been noted above, but 9 billion to ACORN in the Stimulus package??

And Rose I saw where you mentioned something about housing for the people Acorn serves, I can tell you Credit scoring is what is used and is also very telling as to race and there feelings about maintaining good credit.

  28. Taini says:

    Good morning everyone.
I’m glad to see that the corruption of ACORN is finally gathering some real heat. This has been an ongoing problem for years and they dare to use our tax dollars to fund this corruption. Are we all mad yet?

  29. m2 says:

rosehips.. you know I see your POV, but look at the rabit hole of ACORN… this is an immense scale that we don’t know the half of. They may have been okay at one time, but now they are like the mafia arm of the democrat wing. If they were doing the opposite for republicans, you’d be so sick you’d puke.

  30. m2 says:

it goes beyond using the poor they claim to help, millions of dollars are funneled into a shadow building in New Orleans, and doled out to 100’s of 503 or 501c’s .. etc.

  31. Taini says:

    VF and M2
TOTUS? Where and what is that? lol

  32. rosehips says:

karma, that stimulus money going to ACORN will most likely help to train and employ many people who otherwise might have no other opportunities. And like I said, they would be on public assistance or wind up in our prisons at $30,000/yr. If they can learn job skills it might just be a worthwhile investment that will save us money. I don’t think it’s a perfect solution, but the options right now seem limited.

Like I said, I don’t think they should focus on loan procurement.

  33. Taini says:

This is what really got me angry about the latest round of attacks. The DHS and the unprecedented attacks on American citizens.
    From the Judge report:
“Hate groups, Law enforcement, anti-immigrant groups, any groups that might make people fearful of participating in the Census…” The release of these Obama Commerce Department documents comes in the wake of an Obama Department of Homeland Security report released in April linking opposition to illegal immigration to “rightwing extremist radicalization.”

  34. rosehips says:

m2, where can I read about the shadow building in New Orleans?

  35. karmahd says:

I see my little dog get no respect!! yelp yelp. Be backlater

  36. VotingFemale says:

Rose… do your own research, dont ask me for proof. The issue I take by saying this is folks what to believe what they want to believe and will turn a blind eye rather than find out for themselves what is going on.

Also, that ACORN had done good thus ACORN is good is about a faulty an assumption as would be the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club is good because of their Charity Work…

    from: http://hubpages.com/hub/Hells-Angels-give-to-charity

On Labor Day over 300 bikers from more than 20 motorcycle clubs in the Las Vegas area rode over 50 miles to raise money for Jerry’s Kids. The even was organized by the Las Vegas Chapter of the Hells Angels.

  37. Taini says:

    Karma
Your little dog is precious. lol
Last I saw you, you were a beaver though.

  38. VotingFemale says:

    Morning Karma! Cute dog!

  39. rosehips says:

vf, did I ask you for proof? I have done research but I will not accept the word of wnd or the washington times. They are not credible to me.

  40. karmahd says:

OK one more bark before I go, from what I have heard or read which is all just someones opinion, ACORN was originally a honorable cause, but like all things it became corrupt over time with its growth.

Since it is a non profit?? The books have not been open for public display, my point being if we the people are going to FUND this charity with 9 billion of our own money then dammit they better come clean. You will find in time that this outlet/charity was bacically a shell or a front and the facade was used by the Obama team to create fricking havoc and to funnel funds to many many causes. This is being held under wraps by the current leadership, which will be seen like there brethren in Chicago as the most corrupt presidential team in history. Rahm and the boys, are backroom shady dealers of power, and this is just one of the many tools they use to obtain and keep there power. Good Morning I just got up and am grumpy!

  41. rosehips says:

karma, I think your doggy needs to get a little dignity. The toupee needs to go. What is wrong with the hair of the dog that it was born with. hahaha

  42. Taini says:

    Rose
The core of ACORN is corrupt by those that use the poor to gain money and power. They do not care about the poor except it gives them the means/front to get grants from the government and contributors. It is a scam.
The people you worked with are not the top dogs in charge. They are the poor that really do care for others, but are not aware they are being used by the corrupted ones.

  43. m2 says:

rosehips the video is O’Reilly talking to Bertha Lewis and another lady head of a state chapter of ACORN.

  44. karmahd says:

Now your picking on my hair?? I am jewish and lost it when I was weening!!!

  45. VotingFemale says:

I added a Video of an interview of the CEO of ACORN to the above blogpost… thanks for the idea M2!

  46. m2 says:

in their own words… good interview.
Do not like the private organization that public money is feeding into… basis of the problem right there.

  47. Foxwood says:

Keep an eye on O’Rilley and Beck. They’ve said ACORN was corrupt since the begining in the late 60s.

  48. Foxwood says:

If you go to the ACORN site (I’m researching), they endorse Sonja Sotomayor.

  49. VotingFemale says:

I see… shoot the Media Messenger… wait for the Socialist Media to “tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.

Meanwhile watch what ACORN CEO says about an audit of the books of ACORN… which have never been audited.

vf, did I ask you for proof? I have done research but I will not accept the word of wnd or the washington times. They are not credible to me.

  50. karmahd says:

Rose you asked me yesterday who hired the Black Panthers at that voting site, my best guess it would be ACORN.

What I see from this organization and a lot of its followers (Obamities) is that now that they have a half black president there sense of entitlement has risen to new levels. They believe (pathologically) so that they will be taken care of for all the ill will and misdeeds of the past. They have risen, and the new Phoenix is Obama, he will take care of them. It is a pattern in individuals with low self esteem and those individuals are easily swayed by the smell of money.

  51. Taini says:

    Karma
Well stated, this group at ACORN is like a Mafia front group.

  52. karmahd says:

And for god sake if someone pulls the race card on me for saying what I posted about half black president, they are lost. This has more to do with corrupt government associating with a corrupt non profit for the gain of its top leadership. The race card is a mindless defense used by those who cannot handle the truth, its is not about race, just thought I would put that out there.

  53. m2 says:

I’m going to a Ren Faire today!! Hollah!!!

  54. karmahd says:

    EXACTLY Taini!!!

  55. karmahd says:

Eat a Turkey leg for me M2, I am sure it will be a jousting good time

  56. karmahd says:

OK this dog has to go for a walk, be back later

  57. rosehips says:

karma, I am sorry that you are so jaded and cynical. Why would ACORN hire black panthers? Why don’t you think the nbpp sent the guys to the polls. Are you sure they were paid to do that?

If I was a poor black person from the projects trying to better myself and help my community, I would be very insulted by your words.

karma said: Rose you asked me yesterday who hired the Black Panthers at that voting site, my best guess it would be ACORN.

  58. Taini says:

Beck and O’Reilly have formed an investigative team to expose the funeral home front that houses over 200 sub-sects of ACORN.

  59. rosehips says:

vf, I won’t accept the “socialist’s media” excuses for ACORN. I watched the O’reilly vid and I agree that the books should be open and ACORN should be accountable for the money they accept from the government. I suspect there is a lot of waste and corruption.

When a group is awarded a grant there needs to be accountability and they need to show outcomes or they will not be refunded.

Perhaps ACORN is just too big and too corrupted to continue to the work that I believe is necessary to help the poorest people rise above poverty and become productive members of society.

  60. VF, oh my gosh, so much great stuff here! Tabula Rasa puuleeease!!!! That’s what is wrong with the left they are all Tabula Rasa’s.

    Good grief.

    Great post!

  61. VotingFemale says:

Bill O’Reilly announced that he, and Glenn Beck will ask Gov. Bobby Jindal, Louisiana to investigate ACORN with their New Orleans headquarters, and to request FBI assistance in the investigation.

    Good grief.

    Great post!

  63. rosehips says:

When the gov’t dispenses grants, there is often an administrative agency that manages the funds and disperses it to smaller organizations. That is usually how our grants worked. There was an agency in Spokane that administered our grant and provided lots of support and held us accountable to every penny.

  64. m2 says:

    That’s exactly how I feel…

rosehips says: vf, I won’t accept the “socialist’s media” excuses for ACORN.

  65. Taini says:

BRB. I have a phone call.

  66. rosehips says:

taini, if you watch the vid you will see that the building used to be a funeral home and calling it a “funeral home front” is a bit misleading. Are you actually implying that they are using a funeral home as a front?

  67. m2 says:

    BrioMio is Baaaaaaaaack!
    hollah!

  68. Foxwood says:

Rose, Dale and Alan were corrupt since the beginning, if you believe O’Rilley. Dale started ACORN to skim money. I don’t think O’Rilley makes this stuff up.

  69. karmahd says:

Rose if I appear “jaded” and “Cynical” it is because I am!! I came from poor white trash, the only opportunity I ever had were the ones I created. I did not utilize unemployment or any sort of assistance until 18 months ago when I had no other recourse and did so for a total of 5 weeks in my entire life. If you are poor, get off your ass and find some sort of work, do not use the color of your skin or what ever to get a pass. The same goes for the poor white trash, it is a choice 99% of the effected make to stay that way. Jaded/cynical, yep you have massive corruption in all politics, you have a mass blooming of a species that is devouring our earth, you have people that will literally kill you for the shoes you wear, fucking A I am jaded and cynical!!!

  70. m2 says:

technically it is a “front” impenetrable to the public, where they send millions of dollars and redistribute it to 260 organizations, without open policy on the “books”…

I’ve seen reporters try to go in and speak to an in-charge person… they won’t let them.

  71. Foxwood says:

    Rose said:
“Are you actually implying that they are using a funeral home as a front?”

    O’Rilley does, so I do. I believe it’s credible.

  72. m2 says:

    LOL!!! from Brio’s report:

    Report violation
ACORN will turn out to be Obama’s Halliburton.

  73. VotingFemale says:

    Rose… state or federal agency?

  74. rosehips says:

warranton, are you implying that a person’s surroundings don’t influence their ability to succeed? I think it is much more difficult to overcome barriers to success if you grow up in the projects than if you are raised in a middle class suburban environment.

There are many success stories like Sotomayer’s of people who overcame humble beginnings and rose to the top. But for each of these stories, I believe there are many more who did not have the good influences necessary to work overcome the obstacles and many are now dead because there is really very few options than to get into dangerous criminal activities that lead most times to death or impisonment.

  75. karmahd says:

OK first cup of coffee done, I am becoming more human

    The funeral home….

ACORN’s New Orleans building was… WAS a funeral home.

When ACORN took residence of that building it was converted from it’s prior use as a funeral home to an office building.

ACORN is not using that building a a Funeral Home Front… and Rose, if you were informed about even a little of this you would know all this…

  77. rosehips says:

vf, it was ESD 101 (Educational Service Dist). I think they might be a state agency but the money came from the 21st Century Community Learning Center funds. It was part of “No Child Left Behind” and funded afterschool programs. We had an awesome program for rural middle schoolers but after 3 years the funding dried up.

It’s debatable if the money was really well spent. We didn’t have enough time to really know how we impacted these kids. We had great activities and educational support for them but at the end of the day they go home to families who are ill equipped to be good influences. Many of our students are drug addicts, pregnant, unemployed or dead. sigh.

vf said: Rose… state or federal agency?

  78. karmahd says:

Rose, bull hockey! It is nurture not nature, it is cultural, what defines poor is not just monetary, poor in will, poor in drive to become better, poor in the choice to bring children in this world that one cannot support, over all poor choices. Those who choose to be better can, and that does not mean they leave there surroundings, they choose to be productive.

  79. VotingFemale says:

And at this point… Sotomayor is a distraction whom I do not care to discuss.

I hope she gets the job… and I hope she leglates from the bench with as much “empathy” as she can muster… I hope she swings the court so far the the left it looks like communism.

There is going to have to be a lot of pain before people are shaken awake.

    now… about ACORN

    lol

  80. rosehips says:

vf, why do you expect me to know everything about ACORN? I only know from personal experience what I have said about knowing people who worked for them in the 80’s. I never heard about the new orleans “front” until I saw the vid. I challenged the accusation that they were using a funeral home as a front. This is purely based on the vid. I came to the same conclusion as you. We agree. why are you being mean to me? 😦

  81. VotingFemale says:

Karma, Rose is attempting to steer the conversation away from ACORN

let bring it back on track… this is not about Sonya the Rich and Privileged Enchanted New York Latina who attended private schools starting with high school who claims a “poor me” background.

  82. karmahd says:

Off topic but North Korea is getting ready to shoot another missile and Obama sent gates to do the dirty work with the threats

  83. karmahd says:

bad timing for that comment, yes back on topic

  84. VotingFemale says:

    Rose… I love you, Ok?

It is tough love… I want you to wake up and nose around and see for yourself what is going on.

And if there is corruption… be it Right Wing, Left Wing, Up Wing, Down Wing… let’s you and I nail the bastards/bitches.

  85. rosehips says:

vf, this is what I said above:
“taini, if you watch the vid you will see that the building used to be a funeral home and calling it a “funeral home front” is a bit misleading. Are you actually implying that they are using a funeral home as a front?”

then this is what you said in response:
    “The funeral home….

ACORN’s New Orleans building was… WAS a funeral home.

When ACORN took residence of that building it was converted from it’s prior use as a funeral home to an office building.

aren’t we basically saying the same thing?

  86. karmahd says:

Rose where there is smoke there is usually fire, my original question stands, if ACORN is going to get 9 BILLION dollars of MY money, then DAMMIT I want accountability of where that money is going to be used. If this is just a coffer for Obama and his cronies to use for what they wish or to support candidates outside of PACs and 501’s then I want to know that as well!

  87. Foxwood says:

    VF said:
“ACORN is not using that building a a Funeral Home Front”

My missread. The building is being used…. not as a Funeral Home tho.

  88. rosehips says:

vf, I think I am being open-minded. I am not excusing anything corrupt ACORN has done. I will go as far as saying perhaps they should not be the agency to handle government funds. But I would like to see an investigation and not just condemnation from the likes of Bill O’Reilly and Glen Beck.

  89. Foxwood says:

    Rose Said:
“But I would like to see an investigation and not just condemnation from the likes of Bill O’Reilly and Glen Beck.”

    They are investigating!

  90. Foxwood says:

They have reporters on the ground at New Orleans.

  91. Taini says:

Karma states: “Rose if I appear “jaded” and “Cynical” it is because I am!! I came from poor white trash, the only opportunity I ever had were the ones I created.”

I agree. I too was born poor and have had to work my whole life. Some jobs I liked, some I did not. Some paid fair wages, some did not. Regardless of those things, I worked to make ends meet and never expected the government or fellow tax payers to bail me out or promise to make life ‘fair’ FOR me.
This is the LIE that those socialist activist in government wants people to believe. This is the exact same precedence of corruption we are seeing within ACORN.

  92. karmahd says:

Rose, if you google ACORN corruption you will find 1,070,000 sources LOL

  93. VotingFemale says:

YES! there is no “funeral home front” I was backing you up on that point.

  94. rosehips says:

and vf, I mentioned sotomayer one time using her as an example of how good influences can help to overcome the many obstacles to success that poor people are faced with. I was not trying to steer the convo away from ACORN. You however went on comment on Sotomayer in two subsequent comments. But I don’t care if we steer it all the way back to dung beetles. Or North Korea. We can talk about the Queen for all I care. speaking of, I wonder if she has enjoyed her ipod that Obama gave her. lol.

As to the funeral home front. I’m sure that those that had services there over the years voted in this years election for Pres. Obama. lol

  96. karmahd says:

OK everyone is grumpy, reboot!!! GRRRRR

  97. rosehips says:

  98. VotingFemale says:

    Taini and Rose and Karma…

I too came from humble beginnings… what I achieved, I did on my own… no one gave me anything except love and nurturing and security while growing up.

My education and resulting professional career hinged on my god given intellect and personal drive.

I have always been independent as my husband will attest… we have always had three pots… mine, his, and ours for shared expenses.

  99. Foxwood says:

I was born Grumpy, and Dopey, and Sleepy…

  100. Taini says:

Sotomayer is a true and real success story of what a person raised in the projects can do IF they want it bad enough. She had a mother that uplifted her, and did not tell her that she was entitled to live off the government or deserved it for past racial discriminations.
That is the difference IMO of what made her who she is today.

  101. Foxwood says:

    Hmmmmm…. I’m working a story on Sotomayor… She’s not what she seems…

  102. karmahd says:

VF when I was married we had three pots as well, mine she took, hers she would not let me touch, and ours which she controlled LOL

  103. Foxwood says:

Karma, You didn’t get one on the head? I thought that was a part of the marriage ritual.

  104. VotingFemale says:

I admit that I am taken aback by how little you actually know about all this at this point.

    rosehips says

vf, well it felt like you were backing me up until the sentence below:

  105. VotingFemale says:

Karma… what can I say? you let her, dear!

  106. karmahd says:

VF yes it was a choice I made, I did very well and there was enough to go around, and she coveted money where I could have cared less

  107. rosehips says:

vf, did you get any financial aid to help you through school? My family was poor too when I was young and my dad worked his way up to be a successful advertising salesman working on Madison Ave. Then he started a business and the year before I started college, he made $800. so I got full finacial aid. Then I became independent from my parents and because I was a student working only part-time jobs, I qualified again for full finacial aid. I only had about $2500 in loans to pay off after I graduated. I must admit that I couldn’t make the $100/mo payments at first and my dad paid off the loan. He felt since he put all my other sibs through college he should help me too.

  108. VotingFemale says:

mmmm… Karma, then you and I are alike in that respect. I have never coveted money… it was not in my thinking… but I would not let others take advantage of me for their own greed.

  109. Taini says:

    Rose
I’m sorry. It was not my intention to state the ‘funeral home’ was still in use as a funeral home. However, it was one in the past and the location address is being used by over 200 sub-sects of ACORN to warehouse funds from various sources.
IMO, this building location is a “front” in order to dispense ill gotten money.

  110. karmahd says:

From the above link to Foxwood

Among the groups prohibited from participating in the U.S. Census — “…Hate groups, Law enforcement, anti-immigrant groups, any groups that might make people fearful of participating in the Census…” That’s right, law enforcement organizations and groups that oppose illegal immigration are now lumped in with “hate groups” by the Obama administration. (Perhaps this should come as no surprise, considering the Obama Department of Homeland Security’s ridiculous report released in April linking opposition to illegal immigration with “rightwing extremist radicalization.”)

  111. rosehips says:

but I think I had advantages many do not. Although my folks were poor when they started out and had too many kids (7), they were both college educated and it was expected that all of us go to college. I never really considered anything else after hs. I did take semesters off which freaked my folks out a bit because they thought I’d never go back. I think I was more determined to graduate and do it with honors just to prove them wrong. lol

  112. VotingFemale says:

I earned scholarships with my intellect. When I finished High School I was on my own.

    rosehips says

vf, did you get any financial aid to help you through school?

  113. karmahd says:

OK that was about ACORN assitisting with the Census, forgot to add that.

VF I know when people were taking advantage of me over money, and sometimes I let them to a certain degree out of empathy, but never for a large amount. Karma always was returned for that.

  114. Karma, great post above. You are correct we have to take SOME responsibility for ourselves. My parents struggled relentlessly 2 kids lived in a quonset hut through college my dad hitchhiked 50 miles back and forth/work (gas station) to college. joined Reserve Marines/college/work/family. Bottom line it was not easy and NO ONE Gave them anything. They had tens of thousands of dollars in school loans too.

Bottom line, people now think instead of the age of enlightenment, it’s the age of entitlement.

    Gaaaddds. Really ticks me off.

  115. rosehips says:

taini, I don’t think “warehousing” is really an appropriate description. Grants get administered and the money is centralized and dispersed. If they are doing something shady by holding the funds in a private organization’s trust, I think they need to be exposed. This doesn’t sound right and I don’t support this. The money needs to be accountable and the books open to scrutiny.

  117. VotingFemale says:

  118. karmahd says:

Thanks Warrant, it is all about responsibility. I left home at the age of 17, and did obtain three scholarships , not based on intellect LOL, but sports, and worked full time while carrying a full load of classes. My self esteem I reversed, I was doing this to prove I was worthy our of low self esteem, not sitting on the couch waiting for someone to do it for me, both motives are not right or healthy but the fork in the road leads two directions.

  119. karmahd says:

The bulk of my education was from donations made by individuals, not student loans which indebt young people starting out, and something that seems to be the basis of the Obama Admin.
Not all students are entitled to a college education, because they lack drive.
Some should be happy to go into trade schools and be productive citizens.

  121. rosehips says:

I think that if you look at how grants are dispersed you will find many agencies and organaizations that you would consider “fronts”.

  122. Hey VOTING FEMALE SPEAKS!
As concerned, hurting, assaulted citizens we Must let Elected Officials Know.

Bill O’Reilly announced that he, and Glenn Beck will ask Gov. Bobby Jindal, Louisiana to investigate ACORN with their New Orleans headquarters, and to request FBI assistance in the investigation.

It may be a good idea for all of us to call or email his office an encourage this action.

taini, I worked part-time to support myself while going to college too. I could not have done it without financial aid. I would have been steeped in debt and I have never been highly paid for the work I have done.

The costs of colleges have skyrocketed. My son is getting lots of financial aid and he will have loans to pay off and will also have to work. Not all of us can get scholarships or help from individuals. Not everyone can go to college. I am paying all my tuition from my savings right now but am looking into trying to get help. I am on unemployment but am not trying too hard to get a job until I am finished with school. Should I feel guilty?

Fox, In my view… The Obama Socialist Debauchery of a Presidency …being a know nothing arrogant asshole has already dug his own grave. He hit the credit line limit and blew close to 2 trillion dollars on non-economy stimulating pork barrel crap… taxes collected by the FED Government is down 44% from this time last year… and now… to institute his pet project of Universal Health Care he has no choice but to raise that trillions through tax increases… and if he does that the limping economy will be shot dead in the head… thus even more FED TAX shortfalls… the hand writing is already on the wall and I think he now realizes what a totally stupid shit he really is… and the world will figure it out from the coming events and will declare him the worst president in the history of the United States.

I am glad I am not hooked up with CNN and the rest of the butt licking socialist media companies.

  147. Foxwood says:

But that brings uw again to ACORN. ACORN is the network laid down since 1966 to be in place when Capitalism fails. The objective is to put so much pressure on a Capitalistic system, that the Socialist infrastructure that is already in place (ACORN), will be there to take over.

Obama’s place in the system is to bring the economy down and then be there to pick up the pieces. His hand is all over ACORN. It’s just not been discovered yet.

looking forward to it foxy, 😉

  159. Foxwood says:

You’ve read Alinsky? I have, Hillary has, and so has Obama. Read more about ACORN… Dale and Alan have been at this for years.

  160. rosehips says:

no foxy, I have tried to check it out of the library, but it has been overdue for months and I would guess possibly years. those damn radicals don’t have any respect…that book was paid by my tax money. lol

  161. Foxwood says:

Sorry if I don’t answer right away… I’ve been checking in every so often as I research and work on my BBQ.

  162. rosehips says:

regardless foxy, ACORN has a bad reputation and I think it is insanity to believe anyone plans to put them in control. And I doubt there was ever a plan unless it was some grandiose scheme of Dale and Alan.

  163. Foxwood says:

And that Boss… He needs to shut up and sing his tune… enough about the ‘no nukes’ crap…

    Oh, sorry… must have had a flash back… 🙂

Springsteen does sing a good tune.

  164. Foxwood says:

It was Rose… from the beginning. Read.

  165. rosehips says:

research bbq? are you trying a new sauce recipe? I love that you put so much time into cooking. I don’t cook 1/2 as much as I used to. I love a good home-cooked meal made from scratch.
I used to always make potato salad and baked beans from scratch for bbq’s. Last week I just sent the guys out for a tub of ps and a can o’ beans. It might not have been as good but it sure was easier and I heard no complaints.

  166. Foxwood says:

    “I’ll be bauck.”

  167. Foxwood says:

Naw, I got my secret BBQ recipe… I’m researching Sotomayor and ACORN.

  168. Foxwood says:

You know that every good southern man drinks bourbon and has his own secret BBQ recipe. 🙂

  169. rosehips says:

Well there is a British Fur Trade Encampment re-creation on the Columbia River near here that I am thinking about going to. It’s on the former near where the native tribes used to fish and trade. There is going to be a salmon feast including traditional wild foods gathered and prepared by local tribal members. It celebrates the Ceremony of Tears when the damming of the Columbia covered old Kettle Falls and the tribal fishing grounds in 1039. I think I might be able to get a pretty good ireport out of it.

    But dang it’s hot outside.

  170. rosehips says:

    that should read 1939 lol.

  171. Foxwood says:

Reminds me…. I got to get some Salmon ready. It’s so good smoked and served with a charred steak off the grill.

Opps, my glass is empty… Some more Jim Beam please?

  172. Foxwood says:

“Champagne for breakfast and a Sherman in my hand.
Peached up, Peached Ale, never fails.
Must have been a dream I don’t believe where I’ve been.
Come on, let’s do it again.”

Damn, didn’t know what ‘Shermed out’ was till I got to Pheonix. Do they still do that stuff?

  173. arlenearmy says:

I was stunned when I heard that ACORN’s located in a funeral parlor. How morbid … millions of $$$ going to that address.

If I were the heads of Acorn, I would immediately change the name. But I wouldn’t change it to any form of the “nut” family.

On the overhand, ACORN needs to dissolve. Since its already in the funeral home, they need to call ole Sharpton to have a casket-showing rally & make it official.

  174. VotingFemale says:

They need to send a pack of the ACORN Rats to Levensworth

  175. arlenearmy says:

    warrant
I went to Jindal’s website. I think the email page is

    http://www.gov.la.gov/index.cfm?md=form&tmp=email_governor

  176. Foxwood says:

Send an email to my man Bobby!

  177. Thanks Arlene! you are the best! bbl hubby and son on the way home from bball tournament and hungry!

Foxwood, I love pralines and Cajuns. hahahah

  178. Foxwood says:

    Hmmm…. I’ve eaten pralines… never had a Cajun… 🙂

  179. hahahhaahah me either.

  180. rosehips says:

I think ACORN needs to change their name to a flower. How bout:

    Reform
    Organization
    Socializing
    Every (effin’) thing.

You can add an “S” to the end. That would stand for “Scumbags.” heehee

anybody around. We went to the the encampment and there was a Pow Wow with Native dancing and drumming. I got permission from them to film it. One of the native american dancers didn’t want me filming her kids, which was cool. They were all really nice and thanked me for asking them. I’ll post the link after I upload to ireports.
Jonah and I went to the beach and we dove into the cold Columbia. I wish the water was cleaner. I feel dirty and need to take a shower. But it felt good. It was about 90 degrees today.

  181. Foxwood says:

You really don’t believe Acorn is the lynch pin to brining down Capitalism, Rose?

  182. Foxwood says:

I’ve got some really good poop.

  183. Foxwood says:

I used to do some “Native American” dancing. In Oklahoma they called it Indian Pow Wows. My oldest girl is half Choctaw and I tried to get her to embrace her heritage, but she didn’t want too. Being a white guy, I couldn’t participate in all the dances, but it was an experience.

  184. rosehips says:

cool foxy. I have never been to a pow wow before and this wasn’t exactly one but they did call it that and you will see if you watch my vid that they are truely pow wow dancers. I was so impressed with their outfits. I didn’t really get the nerve to interview the dancers personally but I talked to one in the meal line (grilled salmon with native roots like bitterroot and camas, and then normal bbq salads. They also had indian fry bread which is a staple and traditional food for many years. They didn’t even really charge for it but had a donation bucket that they half-heartedly asked if we wanted to we could donate for the meal and they will put it toward next year’s pow wow.

When it was time to eat, they of course feed all the elders first and make sure they all are provided for. My son asked me if I was considered an elder. My friend and I just laughed and wouldn’t take on that tag just yet. I wish I had the guts to ask some of the elders for an interview. One old woman who is 81 was talking about the old times and she was so sweet. She kind of rambled and she had a very soft and quivering voice. I so wanted to talk to her but never did.

  185. rosehips says:

and I could have interviewed the dancers which would have been cool, but you know that it’s not really that cool to photograph or film indians and I am always sensitive to that. I did capture some of the young dancers inadvertently and I am trying to edit them all out. The one’s I show will be the one’s who gave me permission.

  186. Foxwood says:

It may be different now, but they were called Indian Pow Wows, and I took my daughter to Indian Education. The hospital was called Claremore Indian Hospital. It may have changed since I’ve lived in Oklahoma.

  187. arlenearmy says:

    Rose
That would be really neat posting a native American pow wow. I haven’t been to one for quite some time. Every November, I used to help promote its awareness. But they don’t have them that much these days. Drummers get larger share of the money & pow wows gotta have several of them … not to mention the prize money for the dancers. It takes a lot of planning to put on a pow-wow.

Now that I think about it, I dont know why most bloggers dont recognize Native American History Month. And since you are gonna put it on ireport, it would be refreshing that the network honor Native American History Month & not get stuck on its perpetual Black History Month assignments.

  188. Foxwood says:

Born in Duncan, Oklahoma, Hoyt Axton wrote and sang many country and rock song including I’ve never been to Spain. His mother Mae Boren Axton wrote for Elvis, Heartbreak Hotel.

  189. rosehips says:

arlene, there were a few different groups of drummers there today. I don’t know if they get paid because the event was free and like I said they weren’t good at asking for donations.

The guy on the dinner line (the guy in the orange outfit) told me I should go to the pow wow on the 4th of July in Nespelem if I want to see a really good one. I might do that.

  190. rosehips says:

foxy, I think the indians still call it an indian pow wow around here too.

  191. arlenearmy says:

    Rose
Perhaps you should suggest to CNN that they should make it an assignment .. especially for month of November.

btw, the pow wows that have dance contest are the ones that pay the drummers (sometimes donated amount). No drummers … No pow wow. Of course, they gotta pay the prize money for the dancers.

I used to hit the circuit on those dance competitions. The bigger the prize, the more dancers show up & the more awesome the grand entry.

  192. rosehips says:

my vid didn’t upload so I am gonna try tomorrow. Have a great night!

  193. Foxwood says:

I wasn’t meaning to be disrespectful. Even the Native Americans in Oklahoma (meaning red man) call themselves Indians. There was not hatred with this term, at least at the time.

  194. Indycoltsfan says:

Foxwood, I always heard that Jimi Hendrix taught Ernie Isley how to play guitar. By watching this video you will see many Jimi Hendrix characteristics in his playing of this song. I am now convinced the rumors are true.

  195. Indycoltsfan says:

BTW, For those not familiar with Jimi Henrix style. Note how Ernie Isley plays the guitar behind his back, behind his head and with his teeth. These are all classic Jimi Hendrix trademarks

  196. VotingFemale says:

    Morning Everyone! Happy Sunday!

    yawn…. sips coffee

  197. Foxwood says:

Morning VF. Time to make the coffee.

  198. Foxwood says:

    Indy,
This is what I found in Wikipedia:

Ernie first was reared in Cincinnati, where his older brothers formed The Isley Brothers, first as a gospel group, then as a secular-singing group, until 1963 when he and his family moved to Englewood, New Jersey, where Ernie began to teach himself to become a musician. First skilled in drums, he moved on to guitar, bass and various other instruments.

After befriending future rock legend Jimi Hendrix, who was one of the touring guitarists for his brothers and actually lived at the Isley’s home for several years, and being influenced by Jose Feliciano’s version of The Doors’ Light My Fire, Ernie trained himself to be a guitarist.

  199. Foxwood says:

I have also heard that Jimi Hendrix played in Little Richard’s band before being with the Isleys.

Good Morning all, I have been very busy lately and so I am just catching up on all this Acorn Stuff.
Great report VF! I have a question and hope it will be taken in the light in which it is asked. For the better part of my life I have watched as our Government has thrown Money at the Inner City Problems of Poverty. Namely Inner City Crime Task forces, Education including Security and Metal detectors, Housing, Welfare, Head start, Food Stamps, Drug Prevention, Jobs Creation, Affirmative Action, Day Care, Housing, and the list continues to grow. Now I have watched this over the last 40 years or so and my question is this. Why have I not seen any improvement in this sad situation what so ever? It seems to me the poverty and crime is worse now than ever before and so why has not all of those Government Funded programs improved the over all quality of life in our inner Cities? Where has all of that money gone and why is Violent Crime at such a high level today?

  201. VotingFemale says:

    Good morning Fox and Sam!

    Been missing ya Sam!

  202. VotingFemale says:

Sam… I am sure you understand that question.

    As I see it..

The Socialists can not have their cake and eat it too. If poverty problems were actually solved, they lose their political weapon… they need folks to stay victims.

And those with the drive and internal drive and motivation emerge from poverty. Their stories are everywhere.

  203. Foxwood says:

    Morning Sam.

  204. Foxwood says:

I just about have a companion article ready and will trackback later today, VF. It has some of the Sotomayor stuff I’ve been working on in it.

  205. karmahd says:

Hey VF, Sam and Foxwood, I guess I overslept!

  206. VotingFemale says:

    Morning Karma…

    Ok, Fox…

I am almost ready to publish a new blogpost… just proof reading it one last time

  207. rosehips says:

    morning peeps….

hey vf, I can help you with the proofreading. heeheehee

  208. VotingFemale says:

    Hey Rose!

    Dont you wish, dear!
