Pakistan becoming Nuclear Mortal Threat to World says SOT Clinton, while Obama persues waterboarding Witch Hunt against Bush Admin

pakistan nuclear missle launch

pakistan nuclear missle launch

Well… Seems Obama has a wee little problem. The Taliban and Al Qaeda are nearing a takeover of Pakistan and control of 100 nuclear weapons.

What is Obama up to this week while this is going on? Why, he is busy with Partisan Politics working out the details with his AG on how best to prosecute people under the Bush Administration for using waterboarding to extract information which provided intelligence that prevented 10’s of thousands of deaths in the US following 911.

Know anything about the intelligence gathered via water boarding that thwarted a very well planned and staged attack on the NYC Washington Bridge? No? Get your news from CNN and MSNBC and hang out at websites like the DailyKos? and Huffington Post? and MoveOn? Ahhh… thought so.

Well while they are painting a picture of reality to boil your partisan blood into a rage over waterboarding… compare that to what they are deciding you will be allowed to know about regarding this wee little crisis.

shhhh…. “we” don’t like to discuss a crisis when it belongs to a DEM president, right?

Crisis you say? What crisis? Uh-huh… crisis.

Your King Bowing, Chevez hugging, Castro Loving Messiah is probably sucking his thumb and crying for his MAMA right now. Oh what to do? Maybe he should go on the Letterman Show and crack jokes about nuclear disarmament and how it will save the world from Nuclear Terrorists.

Lets take a look at a wee little Right Wing News Report and oh yeah… cover your Liberal Eyes, it is from FOX News. Best not read it, it has Conservative cooties all over it. hahahahahahahaha

For the rest of you, take a look!

Clinton Raises Alarms About Spiraling Security in Pakistan

In back-to-back days of testimony on Capitol Hill, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton raises concern that government-backed law enforcement is losing the northwest region of Pakistan.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is raising alarms that the Pakistani government is losing control of its country and ceding ground to Taliban extremists, as she presses lawmakers to approve fresh funding for the region.

In back-to-back days of testimony on Capitol Hill, Clinton raised concern that government-backed law enforcement was losing the northwest region of the country.

“We have to try to strengthen civilian law enforcement” in those tribal areas, she told a House appropriations subcommittee Thursday, after calling the nuclear state a “mortal threat” to the security of the world a day before. “(The administration is) deeply concerned by the increasing insurgency that is destabilizing Pakistan.”

Clinton had harsh words Wednesday for the country that is supposed to be the United States’ key ally in the war against the Taliban and Al Qaeda in Afghanistan.

“I think that the Pakistani government is basically abdicating to the Taliban and to the extremists. But look at why this is happening,” she told the House Foreign Affairs Committee. “If you talk to people in Pakistan, especially in the ungoverned territories, which are increasing in number, they don’t believe the state has a judiciary system that works.”

The comments came after Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari approved Islamic Sharia law in the northwestern Swat valley, which has been overtaken by Taliban forces.

President Obama has invited Zardari and Afghan President Hamid Karzai to the White House in early May, and Clinton made clear that the U.S. government expects Zardari in particular to take a much harder line against extremists.

“It’s corrupt, it doesn’t extend its power into the countryside,” she said of the Pakistani government. “So the government of Pakistan, however it is constituted, which is, of course, their business, not ours, must begin to deliver government services.”

Reuters reported Thursday that Pakistan had sent paramilitary troops to the Buner district, near the capital of Islamabad, practically taken over by the Taliban.

At the same time, Clinton defended the call for diplomacy with Iran. She said Thursday that past policies with Iran have not served to deter the country’s nuclear program.

And she also expressed some hope for Pakistan.

“We’re not interested in putting money into doing what hasn’t worked. And we’ve seen the situation deteriorate over the last eight years in — in Pakistan. And even before it’s been a very difficult country for us to get our arms around and figure out what our ongoing relationship would be like,” she said Wednesday.

“But we are convinced that the democratically elected government in Pakistan shares our goals with respect to the terrorist threat. We just have to figure out how we can best support them and actually getting results.”

I did a ‘tiny’ little report rant about this very thing, but yours is much more indepth. Thanks VF!!

  2. VotingFemale says:

Sooo Mr Obama? What are you going to do?

suck your thumb for a while and sob for mommy? then call the King of Saudi Arabia and sing kumba ya?

What do you think Israel is planning to do?

I can well guess… they are preparing for massive strikes at the pakistani nuclear sites and probably so is India.

Western Eruope? Well they are “Leaders” let them “LEAD” hahahahahaha

  3. LisaInTX says:

Right on VF!!! Obama is such a joke with his narrow focus on demonizing the GOP and ALL that oppose his rule!

  4. rosehips says:

well, I took your advice and passed over the fox news item, so now I don’t know what to say. The world is crashing in on us and we are being guided by the media. Things are happening all over but we only know about them if Fox or CNN or MSNBC tells us it is.

I have a foreboding feeling that this is not going to end well or quickly. we shall see.

I’m glad Hillary is on it and if Obama is doing something else and letting her handle it, I think that should be some consolation.

  5. rosehips says:

so glad we do have the media to tell us about stories like this:

a teacher here in wash. state sent a turd in a baggie home with a kinder with a note saying it was picked up off her classroom floor. nice teacher, eh?

sorry, don’t mean to change the important subject of what the ef are we gonna do about the taliban?????

  6. VotingFemale says:

lol Rose… I like to hit them all to get a spin check or see if there is an ignore sign on a topic.

Huff Po Commies are probably working up and article to blame it on Bush. hahahahahah

DailyKos is probably negoiating for bomb shelters in Mexico… by trading guns for a hiding place.

MSNBC will likely call it justified on the part of the Taliban-Right-Deathers.

  7. LisaInTX says:

    Rose
I hope they fired that stupid teacher. How insensitive was that?

  8. VotingFemale says:

Gordan Brown is probably crapping his socialist panties right now…

  9. VotingFemale says:

I predict Obama will plea to the UN to spank them talibaners so he can blame the UN when the nukes start flying.

After all he has his poll numbers to worry about… thus he will probably go on the View and hack it up making jokes about Tea Party Protesting Racists and let the nukes fall where they may.

After all this is not his country… what the hell does he care?

  10. rosehips says:

I don’t think the teacher was fired yet lisa. they tried to sweep it under the carpet, but the family went to the media and now it will probably be on nancy grace and greta will probably do a few shows about it too.

  11. rosehips says:

I would rather the UN take action than our military being the ones to alway have to make the first move.

  12. LisaInTX says:

    VF
I agree. He is not a REAL American nor does he think like we do. The man was raised by Marxist and taught Islam–then went to a Racist Marxist Church for 20 years—that is WHAT he knows and believes in.

  13. rosehips says:

I better go. I need to go pay my cc online, which I normally don’t do, but I have waited too long to send it and they are talking all over the news about new rules that are taking effect that will let the cc companies dig their daggers even deeper into the consumers. I’m glad they don’t have their daggers in me too deeply. This is the first time I will have to pay any fees, but if I don’t get it paid by Friday, I’ll be screwed.

  14. VotingFemale says:

Rose… who runs the UN and makes decisions and supplies the military forces to do anything?

  15. sosdd says:

That poor little child. If I was the kids father I would have taken that little turd ball and put it between to pieces of bread and mailed it back to the teacher.

  16. ohiobelle says:

Oh vf great story!! I am glad you did this one.

My thoughts on “torture” has always been very clear. Without these methods we would’ve had another 9/11 in L.A. These methods have saved thousands of lives and were and still are necessary for our protect.

The Taliban has moved 20 miles in 24 hours. At this rate we could see them take over Pakistan by Sunday maybe Monday. Very grim when (not if) that happens.

  17. rosehips says:

well, vf I know we don’t pay our dues but pay an unequal amount in military power. I think we should let some other coutries step up but I know that is ridiculous….

vf said: Rose… who runs the UN and makes decisions and supplies the military forces to do anything?

  18. rosehips says:

got my bill paid so I can check it off my list. I better go get some reading done. see you later!

  19. rosehips says:

sos, I can just see you making that turd sand and sending it back. make sure you slather it with mayo…

  20. ohiobelle says:

I am taking off for a little while but I wanted to share this information.

Two weeks after hundreds of police officers staged raids in northern England and arrested 12 men in what Prime Minister Gordon Brown described as “a very big terrorist plot,” the police released nine of them on Tuesday and handed them over to Britain’s border control agency for deportation to Pakistan.

THANKS BROWN FOR HANDING OVER 9 MORE TERRORIST TO PAKISTAN.. Maybe he’s still pissed about the ET movie..

  21. sosdd says:

I will rose, extra mayo! LOL!

  22. LisaInTX says:

    Aneko,
The little TROLL BAIT is back and THIS TIME she is trying to BAIT some guy named Richard??… and is even trying to insinuate that he and I are the same person. Like SHE isn’t hiding from HER previous life!! lol
Sorry little TROLL, but This is NOT me deary!! I have NO idea who that is…LOL….I’d retract those sharp little claws BEFORE they get turn on your OWN little butt….this time could be a flatline NOT of your choosing!.

Ok, so here is the question richard if you really want to see how things are…
you said that this GV person started off the arguements? right…
So how did you feel about others you were less confrontational with doing it?
Did you see or witness Lisa or Voting Female doing it when they were on??
Did you complain about them doing it, or were they merrited…
THat is part of what this post is actually about..
not necessarly attacking others or dif parties, but being blind or turning your head at your own “party’s” behavior.

  23. ohiobelle says:

Lisa, I feel for richard.. he’s always been very kind to me.

  24. samiam60 says:

This Pakistan thing is so very serious folks. It is no wonder Obama decided that maybe Bush was right all along. I think the whole world is gonna hold their breath on this one. Over at CNN all they can think to talk about is waterboarding. It’s like that network has been beheaded and no one told em. They and MSNBC are gonna be loosing alot of sponsors in the near future I think.

  25. LisaInTX says:

    Hey Belle
I don’t think he posted on my reports?? From what I read on this report though, he is holding his own and staying neutral even with the Troll baiting of Aneko the revived one. :-/
And I NEVER attacked anyone unless they attacked me first! Even then, I seldom ever got personal—can’t say always because some of those trolls have said some pretty horrible things to me and I WOULD sometimes give as good as I got.

  26. ohiobelle says:

ok I have my daughter waiting for me to walk but I have to share this… PELOSI IS ON TV TELLING FLAT OUT LIES!! SHE SAID SHE WAS NOT BRIEFED ON THE WATERBOARDING BUT NOT ONLY WAS SHE BRIEFED SHE WAS ASKED TO WITNESS WHAT WATERBOARDING WAS BEFORE IT WAS DONE!! LIAR LIAR PANTS ON FIRE!!! WOW! I THOUGHT SHE WOULD AT LEAST ADMIT TO SEEING IT DONE FIRST!!

  27. ohiobelle says:

Sam, this is one of my comments from above:

I can prove she did know about it and I plan to put that story up next on my blog. It’s time to call that bitch out!!

  31. sosdd says:

We are screwed!!! The whole world is falling down around us and the crooks in washington only care about their own agendas! Pretty soon it will be every man for himself here in this country.

  32. ohiobelle says:

    PELOSI IS A LIAR…

The Washington Post reported today that select members of congress were briefed by the CIA in 2002 about enhanced interrogation techniques. Included in the briefing was current House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).

Among the techniques described, said two officials present, was waterboarding, a practice that years later would be condemned as torture by Democrats and some Republicans on Capitol Hill. But on that day, no objections were raised. Instead, at least two lawmakers in the room asked the CIA to push harder, two U.S. officials said.

“The briefer was specifically asked if the methods were tough enough,” said a U.S. official who witnessed the exchange.

  33. ohiobelle says:

Pelosi is on tv now saying she was NEVER told about waterboarding and CONGRESS knew NOTHING of these methods!!

This is just Pelosi and Company keeping the subject on Bush who’ve they’ve managed to push into the ground on every issue. Bush is the only thing that keep their pathetic asses in power. They need Bush. It will be lunacy to hear them go on about Bush for 2 more years+ but that’s all they have to maintain their positions. I hope she rots in HELL.

  37. billalmighty says:

    what’s up, haters 🙂

    hi everyone

  38. m2elena says:

I am feeling rather hateful right now.
Actually. So I am a hater.

    obama rocks!

  42. billalmighty says:

wow, there really isn’t anyone here or that wouldn’t have gone without response

  43. sosdd says:

Bill, Obama rocks? Are you talking about the rocks rolling around in his empty skull? LOL!

  44. billalmighty says:

lol. hey ind…he rocks at basketball.

  45. sosdd says:

Obama should really save his breath and his energy when he gets on tv. All they have to do is put the words on the screen that he reads of his telepromters and we can read them for ourselves.

  46. m2elena says:

I told my friend in the summer the Democrat Leadership play with FIRE and they dance in Hell! and I was being truthful. They’ve done more to tear this nation apart for what they’ve gained, than is humanly acceptable. Thank you Democrats in Congress for your despicable service and slandering of anyone that disagrees with you ONLY TO GAIN POWER.

    May you dance in HEEEEELLLLL!

  47. billalmighty says:

that’s exactly my opinion of the guy. he’s great on camera. hollywood all the way

  48. sosdd says:

bill, are you surprised? Not to sound racist but all black guys are good b ball players. LOL!!

  49. sosdd says:

Your right bill he should be playing president in a movie and not in real life.

  50. m2elena says:

I will never look at baracks presidency as historic, it’s a sad day when a man is auctioned off on his skin color alone, and bought up by the ppl. Perfectly groomed by the demon Democrats to be the empty, history-less infallible (b/c of color) candidate. Play your race card, jerks! You dance in Hell!

    I’m angry.

  51. m2elena says:

    I’m out again.

  52. billalmighty says:

    ind-well, he’s a good player for sure.

m2-i think both dems and repubs have done us in through greed and corruption. it’s hard for me to direct anger at only one side

  53. sosdd says:

m2, I am sorry but you are wrong. His presidency will be very historic in the sense that an incompetant black man took this country down to the abyss.

  54. billalmighty says:

    bye m2

  55. m2elena says:

I’m gonna say it. I agree that Republican lost their way fiscally and as defined by Conservatism. But the Democrat leadership can go to hell.

They let Soros, and Pelosi and minions tear this nation apart during Bush, a battle for hearts and minds, and they one on false truths and slander. I’m not saying Bush/Republicans are clean as a dove, but to me, -the Democrats can go to hell. They divided this nation, and they use it now to push their crisis of opportunity. SCREW them.

  56. billalmighty says:

it’s nice that so many people are fired up about our government…it’s the best thing that has happened out of all this drama

  57. m2elena says:

yea, I’m out… I’ll probably do blog rounds later tonight, thanks.

  58. sosdd says:

bill you better believe people are fired up but you ain’t seen the worst of it yet.

  63. m2elena says:

Someone said they think we would have had another 9/11 if we didn’t use torture… that’s conjecture. Does that mean we were torturing before 9/11 and that’s why nothing major like that ever happened before? (I did say major…)

On to the topic at hand… Pakistan. There’s no way around the fact that Pakistan is a powder keg, as it was long before Obama took office. Violence and anti-government protests have been rising there since we began working with the government to oust Al Queda. And stepping over the border to take care of the problem ourselves since Pakistan seems not to be interested in REALLY helping has inflamed those Anti-American folks. NOTHING will please them. Nothing. They want any excuse to escalate the hatred toward us.

You can’t blame that on Obama, is my opinion. After all, we started doing across-the-border attacks while Bush was still in office. We could have seen this crisis coming years ago, and we probably did.

Are you saying America has done nothing to piss these guys off? Because there’s a very long history of the US and the CIA meddling in Afghanistan and the Middle East, directly linked to Communist USSR and our efforts to keep them from expanding. Do you believe we were just sitting here on our own soil and minding our own business when we were randomly attacked?

Don’t get me wrong, the 9/11 attacks were never justifiable, or the other attacks on civilians. That’s not what I’m suggesting. Nor am I suggesting we shouldn’t be in Afghanistan, since I strongly believe we SHOULD be there.

those islamic countries have been at war since before all of us were born, and will be at war after all of us are gone. our involvement started with oil interests…then human rights interests…then this idea that we’re going to cram democracy down everyone’s throat. as a result, we need to protect ourselves from them because we’ve put ourselves right in the middle of their conflict and given them further reason to hate us. you think the average iraqi thinks he’s been helped by america. nope. he’d still like to blow us up. that’s our reality, and it needs to sink in with the administration

  96. ohiobelle says:

highplains, I am sure we weren’t innocent. You make good points.

I have no problem backing down when somebody makes good points or if I am wrong however I am not wrong on the LA attacks. This is why it was so important for Barack to release all the information and not just some.

  99. billalmighty says:

    vf – lol @ MMMOOOHHHAAAAAA

  100. highplainsgirl says:

In truth I’m conflicted about the whole idea of using torture to get information. Even if it does save lives. Because I wonder what the actual cost of using these methods is going to be in the end. If we lose all respect in the world, and we come to be seen as tyrants and barbarians, what will that mean for wars down the road or attacks on Americans when we travel. I don’t know. I do believe it will be harder for us to gain allies in any battles we have in the future, if they think Americans use torture.

But from the stand-point of caring about these Al Queda thugs, no, they torture their captives, and they behead people, and they’re generally lowlife gangstas. I guess I just prefer that we not become our enemy.

  101. ohiobelle says:

highplains, my biggest fear is our current administration is living a pre 9/11 life. Alot of people fell the way you do about our “torture” methods however I believe if one American can be saved by these methods then do it. Barack Obama never should’ve let those documents be released. I don’t care how the job gets done as long as it protects the United States from another attack.

  102. ohiobelle says:

Al Qaeda and the Taliban will show no mercy whether we do these acts of “torture” or not. We’ll always be their enemy and we’ll always be in a state of war with them and anybody that wants to harm us.

  103. highplainsgirl says:

Well, at least we’re not using the rack. Or cutting off fingers and limbs… as far as I know. But we have brought some prisoners close to death, and probably have caused the death of a few. On the other hand, people die all the time in ‘legitimate’ war, and they do so in some pretty gruesome ways. So maybe it’s splitting hairs a bit. I don’t know. Probably some of those prisoners would have tortured us, had the tables been turned. But it still doesn’t answer my concern that we not become the enemy we despise.

  104. ohiobelle says:

With all that being said I respect you view on these issues.

If the Taliban takes over Pakistan then they will have access to 100 nukes and have threatened to bomb the United States. If waterboarding prevents this from happening then I think everybody will see how important these methods are.

I’ve got to log off for the night. It was nice talking to you all. Have a nice evening.

  105. ohiobelle says:

highplains wrote:Well, at least we’re not using the rack. Or cutting off fingers and limbs… as far as I know.

We don’t do those things and that we’ll always make us better than them.

  106. highplainsgirl says:

I think some lines should not be crossed, because it’s hard to go back to the other side after. Once a precedent has been set, the next step might be to torture an American for information, maybe a lowlife serial killer who doesn’t deserve anything better. Then after that it’s a gang member or a heroin dealer. The slippery slope… It seems to me that a lot of these Middle Eastern countries that use torture, also use them on their own citizens.

  107. ohiobelle says:

highplains before I leave I want you to know that Nancy Pelosi is all over the tv today saying she and Congress knew nothing about waterboarding. I promise that is also a lie.
    http://ohiobelle.wordpress.com/

  108. highplainsgirl says:

Good night Ohiobelle… I should really be doing my programming homework anyway.

  109. highplainsgirl says:

Oh, I’m sure that’s a lie. No doubt there.

  110. tensoft says:

Let’s hope this gets resolved in a way that Obama doesn’t agree to just having some some inspectors to keep watch over the nukes with some cameras to make sure no one presses any buttons a la N.Korea. Pakistan would put the inspectors in a rickshaw in two seconds and turn the cameras off in one, if they wanted to, just like NK does.

  111. tensoft says:

    Lisa love your new avatar

  112. VotingFemale says:

Hey Tensoft… Obama is screwed. No matter what he does or does not do he is screwed.

Welcome to the Office of President of the United States of America, Mr Obama.

Everything is now on your watch. And BTW, Barack, go ahead with your torture witch hunt.

    MAKE MY DAY

It is your political Tiger Trap and you and Pelosi are almost in the trap! yes… bite that apple.

    MMMOOOHHHHAAAAAAA

  113. VotingFemale says:

Oh… now Today Obama apparently approves water boarding… there will be no so called torture witch hunt.

Send the memo to CNN… scrap their assault on the conservatives… when the memo are are make public that proves what was prevented detail by detail thanks to water boarding Obama and Co will look like stupid ass holes for not knowing the facts in the first place.

In fact Obama is likely to be in a position to have to authorize water boarding or face responsibility of 100s of thousand of lost voter lives… and it would be his fault and he would be held accountable…

Obama has never in his life had to make the moral hard decisions where no matter what people will die…

Welcome to the Office of President of the United States of America, Mr Obama.

too bad we have to go through your junior senator president learning curve.

    Now about Pakistan…

  114. m2elena says:

    did that happen VF?

where did you hear the “change” on the witch hunt?

  116. rosehips says:

he would veto it? that’s good, right?

  117. highplainsgirl says:

I agree with him on that. It was ‘lawful’ at the time they did it. It would serve no good to prosecute them now. On the other hand, you can look thru history and find examples of horrible deeds done by nations and people that were ‘legal’ in the eyes of their government at the time. I don’t honestly know what the right answer is… very thorny issue…

  118. VotingFemale says:

the cat is already out of the bag… our limits of interrogation has been blown by his making the top secret memos public…

He thought he could do more “conservative” damage by pursuing prosecution for torture… till he was told today that Pelosi knew all about it and approved it… she issued a statement this afternoon lying her butt off that “we were not told” the water boarding was going to be used… and there are witnesses and proof that is a fabrication… plus… Obama himself will have to make value decisions on having to use harsh interrogations… a phrase CNN just used in place of “torture.”

The Obama back peddle is in full swing….

  119. VotingFemale says:

highplains, yesterday Obama was all for pursuing a full press independent investigation. Total flip-flop this afternoon. Instead of an independent investigation whacking the conservatives… it will whack the DEMs… what broke this whole thing wide open was Dick Cheney’s interview on FOX re: what he said. It was a giant shoe dropping and it landed on the DEMs. They didn’t do anything that the DEMs did not agree with and buy off on.

  120. m2elena says:

It’s only by Pelosi’s witnesses, etc. (and the other Dems in 2002 that approved of it) that this is not going on?

I am appalled that we’ve let George Soros become the de facto ruler of this nation. This makes me more despondent and sad, and disappointed, and HOPELESS… than I could have thought possible.

What next? What’s the NEXT political aggrandizing WITCH HUNT to divert attention or keep 1-party domination?????

God I wish the disenfranchisement would STOP. I am so sick of it.

  121. VotingFemale says:

and the use of “harsh interrogation” was very limited and used for specific cases. It was said only three terrorist were subjected to water boarding and in each case they gave up very serious and massive live saving intel.

It stopped the destruction of the second tallest building and Las Angles… and prevented the destruction of the busiest bridge in NYC.

    Absolutely documents facts.

  122. rosehips says:

highplains, I commend you for your rational debate and courage for taking the opposing view. I agree with you almost 100%. I think that live will be lost no matter what is done, but to perpetrate more hatred through use of torture is very dangerous for any future military prisoners. I don’t agree that if we can save one life it’s worth it. Respect will save many, many more lives than torture will. To save one life but risk scores is not practical or fair to our military. To base a war on false information because you are convinced you are right, no matter the evidence, is morally wrong.

I thank you for speaking your mind and I thank belle, vf, tensoft, m2 and others for responding with rational pov. This is one of the most terrifying moments in our lives, and history, and it is easy to let our emotions go wild. I’m glad they haven’t.

  123. VotingFemale says:

m2elena, that George Soros, the dark lord, is a very dangerous man.

  124. VotingFemale says:

    gotta run… laters ladies…

  125. m2elena says:

Yeah, if you all will note, I said those two places on allieJoy’s report, 1st comment. Dick Morris informed me of that. He used to work for Bill Clinton.

  126. m2elena says:

I wouldn’t say I’ve been rational today… more like fired up and scared.

  127. LisaInTX says:

Obama has done NOTHING but damage our nation for generations to come. That and he has also placed/cast our Military in a VERY bad light and caused MORE HATRED than was already there t begin with. Obama is IMO…A Clear and Present Danger to our Nation.

  128. rosehips says:

I know m2, I can sense that. We all have every reason to be.

  129. m2elena says:

I have no allegience on the torture matter, I do have a problem with Democrats going on a witch hunt, when they themselves have noted/approved it in 2002. I am tired of them trying to beat the opposition into OBLIVION. I’m tired of them selling their party for power (Soros). He’s so dangerous. Why can’t we just have parties back that had conviction and could live with eachother?

  130. highplainsgirl says:

Not sure who allieJoy is, is that someone on ireport? I agree, rosehips, that this has been a very respectful debate. And this whole issue is really convoluted and difficult. I have to read more about George Soros, it’s the first time I’ve heard of him.

  131. rosehips says:

I am getting really weary of the knee-jerk responses. It seems no matter what happens, Obama is at fault. Our culture is at fault. We have created a monster country and we have always gotten our way. We are losing our position, and y’all can blame Obama, but I have seen it coming way, way before obama was in the picture.

  132. LisaInTX says:

Soros is the Sith Lord…Obama is a mere apprentice.

  133. m2elena says:

Lisa I think Obama has caused more people to look down on us than Bush ever did. I really think that. He goes out and talks down about America, he lets the enemies of Democracy snicker in his face, he releases classified shit that should be no one’s business but our own. Keep the dirt in the family right? I think he’s created an image of America that is thought of as “responsible for a GLOBAL meltdown” how preposterous, and we are weak and stupid to boot.

    thanks Obama.

  134. highplainsgirl says:

m2elena, I think we REALLY need multiparty governance, but that’s total wishful thinking on my part. Americans hate to go out of their comfort zones, and that would be a risky move.

  135. m2elena says:

Rose, I really feel it is manufactured by the parties this that you described below. I really feel that, and now I see (yet again) it’s true with what they tried to do this week!!!

    rosehips says:

  136. m2elena says:

HighPlains… I think the 2 parties try to keep us bickering, while both of them sit on their fat asses and accumulate wealth/power from the plutocracy, and do whatever they damn well please.

It is like Iran calling “death to America”.. (or any of the Arab/muslim countries that say that) while they steal from the ‘foreign aid’ and use the loot to fund their despotisms.

We are the muslims bickering and blaming America while our government does whatever the crap they want.

  137. highplainsgirl says:

I can agree with that. We are so easily led. sigh…

Obama talks seriously about leading the world in producing clean energy, reducing emissions, protecting air, water and food and people mock him. The world does respect obama but you would never know it by listening to the blogosphere. You can spin things anyway you want them to look and listen and read the same propaganda day in and day out and the results will never change. It just makes me sad and I am afraid I will get too angry soon and become offensive. Maybe I should mow the lawn.

  140. highplainsgirl says:

OK, family is calling… gotta go finish dinner, then back to the C++… yay. Have a good evening, ladies!

  141. LisaInTX says:

    Rose
Obama and his admin just exposed TOP SECRET documents and comprimise our military/CIA/FBI-Intel guys to a point that they will be afraid to take anyone ‘alive’ to gain info. What do you consider this? (I call it flat out Traitorous)
Guess in the future, it will be the greater kindness to just shoot them in the field rather than attempt to extract intel from them that could save OUR lives or those of others.

Not trying to pick on you but this is a damned sore subject for me as my son is in Iraq and I feel his position there has been compromised beyond repair by a man that is supposed to have OUR NATIONS best interest ahead of any political bull crap witch hunt!

  142. highplainsgirl says:

rosehips, I voted for Obama because of his stance on climate change, since that’s my biggest issue. I’m with you on that. And I think time will tell whether the world respects Obama or not, it’s too soon to tell. Mowing the lawn sounds … zen? loud? OK, gotta go for real…

  143. m2elena says:

I’m not in favor of 1-world government and I think the only people that will enact the agendas of true virtue such as Emissions, etc… will be doing so to enslave us in 1 mighty global government. I think that!!!! People in power abuse the position, they don’t care!!! Now we have GE the parent company of NBC/Universal getting in the climate/credit business… so they purposely tell their people to push the Obama agenda (and they put that shit on their morning shows) and they do it all for money essentially making it nothing more but Propaganda!

    It’s a noble idea rosehips.
But I want small government where we control corruption at the local lever! Manageable.

the UN is a joke to me and always has been. I can’t deal with a global central power. it’s just not fathomable.

  144. m2elena says:

Let me say before you guys get horrified by my comment, I think taking care of the planet is noble and virtuous.

I just think that politicians and power-elite twist it to enslave people.

  145. m2elena says:

Oh see you HighPlains, thanks for being respectful of my stance, I get a lot of anger on ireports…

  146. LisaInTX says:

And Obama wanting Green. More like time for the BIG payoff to GE/Immelt/NBC for the BIG help they gave in the media to get him elected.
I’m off too…this crap is just pissing me off to no end and I don’t feel like hearing any defense given for the bastard from hell right now.
    bbl

  147. m2elena says:

Yeah Lisa, my heart is like Election-heart!!!
    I’m so upset.

Look at them getting in bed with Big Corporate GE!!! I’m just tired of all the disenfranchising of the American Ppl. I am not against Democrat control of Capitol Hill, but I don’t want THIS!!!

  148. rosehips says:

ok, I just want to say that I understand and respect your opinions. I see how you feel betrayed lisa, by the releasing of the documents and how you feel it endangers your son. I feel the torture endangers him.

m2, I am not for one world gov’t. You have very valid fears and good reasons for your pov. I agree that no matter how noble the goal, greed and corruption will undermine good intentions. I don’t think arguing will do me or anyone any good, so I think I’ll go take care of some stuff. if I don’t see you later, I will see you tomorrow. Let’s hope the worst doesn’t happen before then. LoveNPeace4All

(where did mimi go? and don’t tell me she is helen, hahaha)

  149. m2elena says:

I just think smaller government is more control by the people…

Ok rosehips, I didn’t meant to fire you up! I was just blowing a total gasket today. The truth is, I could see myself as a liberal, if that entailed little government. LOL.

    Have a good night everyone.

  151. nevenera says:

Hey all, how are you all doing. Will do my usual pop in, leave comment and then head out for the night act.

CIA documents… torn here. I don’t think torture is useful and I think the benchmark should be what we would want to happen to our troops if captured. I am not sure that releasing the documents was the wisest thing to do, but to be honest I understand why he did it. Better than what was done to Valerie plame (know spelling is wrong, but oh well)

I don’t agree that Obama has damaged our image abroad, it was so broken already it had no where else to go.

70 ordinary people going about their daily lives died today in Iraq, blown to bits and our media spent more time on a blond barbie from California…. what a world!

Let the party who is without sin cast the first smear commercial.

Like it or not… the DEM party is with sin and to pretend otherwise and point fingers at conservatives under the pretext of self-righteousness it not only massive hypocrisy, it is lying.

DEM party leaders pretense of their “above reproach nobleness” is the basis of their defeat.

Twisting the truth, via the DEM media, is being exposed on a grand scale. 75% of the media is the arm of the DEM party propaganda machinery that is now being attacked by conservatives as the lying snakes they really are.

Does the other 25% twist and smear as well? yup it happens but it is but a fart in the wind compared to the magnitude of twisted propaganda pouring out of the other 75% of the media.

Deception is self-defeating. And the DEM leaders are up to their necks in their webs of deception.

Why is it now backfiring on the DEM Leaders at this point in tine?

Because they now control the government and that places them directly front and center of accountability for their daily actions, decisions and behaviors.

You can avoid reading this comment but there is no avoiding the reality of the situation.

Best learn to live with it and learn from it…

The conservatives have been forced to do that for years and learned many humiliating lessons as a result.

The era of humility inducement is now at the door of the DEM Leaders… best they stop playing offense against conservatives and start learning how to play defense of their daily governmental control behaviors.

It will serve them much better overall… but hey! the longer they play offensive against the conservatives the more it will damage the DEM leaders… question is… how long will it take for acceptance of reality?

I think they deserve some serious humiliation for their hypocritical slander and attacks and now? it is being served on a daily basis…

The MSNBC Division of the DEM Party is self defeating, re: Garofalo, Olbermann & Redneck Racists … That coverage and the youtube vid of it is looping 24/7 and will be their for years and years as a the price the DEM party is now paying for their sleaze ball approach to politics.

Live with it… Obama & Co, you own it.

  164. samiam60 says:

Well stated VF as usual. If youve checked out the Fox homepage today you see we are in real trouble. In the mean time they are posting pictures of frogs over at Ireports. LOL , for some reason CNN no longer reports on international news such as N. Korea, Aftganistan, or Iran. If you want to know what they are up to ya have to go to Fox.

  165. VotingFemale says:

    I will make a prediction…

The DEM Party attack on all conservatives via the DHS/Napalitano anti-conservative memo to all law enforcement nationwide will be an extremely EXTREMELY deserved lesson in mega-humility.

They dared to do it… they will cry for years over their blundering assumption they can get away with such an attack on the First Amendment rights of 170 million Americans.

It will take approximately two months for the Freedom of Information request by FOX News to receive all documents pertaining to the creation of that anti-First Amendment attack on Americans. And the fallout will be massive.

Obama & Co went down that road… they own it… and they will own the fallout from it… and it WILL hurt.

  166. VotingFemale says:

    Morning Sam!

I was heads down writing comments and did not see you come in dear!

nevennera, billalmighty,m2elena, and all others I may have missed, Good Morning, I think today will be a very special day for all of us who love our Freedom of Speech. Plus its Friday.

Please never give up hope on our beloved country and stand tall and fight for what is right. God bless all of you, each and everyone, and God Bless the United States of America. Peace

  168. VotingFemale says:

You and I are the first ones here… it is early yet.

  169. m2elena says:

basically the bottom line for me is:
I don’t trust anyone in power.

I can see how it is reversed for conservatives and liberals, but even so- liberals ALWAYS have the media on their side. I’m just getting worn out. There’s always the perception that if you are a conservative you are well, (what have we been joking about) fascist? Racist? Rich? Oppressive? Religious Bigot? I’m just mentally/physically tired of it. An no matter what, this is the largest power grab on Capitol Hill in the history of this country, so much that, ppl aren’t sure it can be reversed.

I just don’t trust the government.
I don’t trust the world governments.
That’s all it boils down to.

  170. rosehips says:

m2, I think we all hate to have generalizations made of us. Of course everyone knows that every person is an individual and can’t be put in a box. at least I hope everyone realizes that. I guess, sadly, there are people who prefer boxes and therefore give one group a bad name. sigh.

  171. rosehips says:

    m2, is the auction today?

  172. rosehips says:

when was the last time a leader gave us any reason to trust the government?

  173. m2elena says:

I am not sure about the auction! But my boss asked me to send in my resume for the “soon to be new owners” so that’s a (Cross my fingers behind my back) situation!!!

I think that the 2-parties have escalated the box mentality to suit their agenda’s on attaining power.

Do you not feel the atmosphere as being more virulent than the 1990’s?

  174. m2elena says:

Just like James Carville admitted to a secret op to demonize Bush in September 2001, to hit him hard, using full-media press that is behind them, until 9/11 happened.

  175. m2elena says:

Did you get your lesson read and stuff yesterday? Feel accomplished?

    I did pretty good!

  176. samiam60 says:

VF thank you for your wisdom in protecting me from myself. I appreciate your help in taking care of my mistep this morning. You are wise beyond your years, young lady. Sometimes I just don’t think things out real well before I say things. God bless, Sam

  177. rosehips says:

m2, I was so, so out of it in the 1990’s. I had no tv for most of that time, I lived very isolated on the Canadian border. The only media I had access to was CBC radio and a local Canadian radio station. I didn’t get a computer and get online until 1998. I was involved in local issues, but mostly it was all raising babies and garlic. I was pretty insulated from the mainstream until around the late 90’s when I got work with the local school district.

  178. m2elena says:

I don’t think any polarity of this magnitude (both Bush and Obama) can be matched in the past…

  179. m2elena says:

I think Clinton was not as Leftist as Obama…

  180. rosehips says:

that’s not to say that we didn’t subscribe to the radical rags. I have to admit that I politicized my husband who devoured the Nation each week and Mother Jones and In These Times. My attention span is limited and I just try to absorb info through my skin.

  181. m2elena says:

    Good morning sam!

  182. m2elena says:

Hey girl, I still look at National Review online.
Now that you know, you’ll still be my friend right??

    lol…. 🙂

  183. m2elena says:

Going to jump in the shower!! bbl!

  184. VotingFemale says:

    Morning M2!

Back again… just added a link to a new wordpress feature..

It is a WordPress search engine…

find it under WordPress Tools link catagory.

  185. rosehips says:

I thought Hillary was to the left of Obama during the primaries and I supported her reticently for most of that time. But in the end, I got taken up by Obama’s smooth talking and change-making rhetoric. I pretty much supported most of both of their platforms. I was very sad to see Hillary lose. I think the excitement would have been equal to Obama’s inauguration and election, for me.

  186. Indycoltsfan says:

    good morning everyone!

  187. rosehips says:

m2, well I’ve never read it and I’ve heard tell, but I hold judgment on that and on you”! hey, I bet sp reads it too!

  188. rosehips says:

there was a test on I think glassbooth.com (or org?) that told you what candidates were closest to you based on a number of questions that you rated for how strongly you agreed or did not. Based on that, Hillary beat out Obama but, Mike Gravel beat out Hillary! lol. I didn’t follow Mike, but got a kick outta that.

  189. VotingFemale says:

lol rose, I took that test last year… I don’t think it has been updated for at least a year…

  190. samiam60 says:

Rosechips, although a right leaning moderate I would have felt much safer under Clinton for sure.

  191. rosehips says:

    lol vf,
I hear you sam. but at least she is the sos. I feel better bout that.

  192. m2elena says:

    I’m back, morning everyone again!

To me, Hill Clinton is still the only member of congress/cabinet currently that represents us well.

Given Rahm, Barack, Nancy, Harry and the rest. Yeah, Hillary is way more respectable… at least we have her there.

  193. m2elena says:

The way Obama’s foreign policy is… his image is cracking to the world (the british papers were a lot more honest about his capability during G20 than our media) Our media has invested in Obama…
They can’t let the pedestal fall or they fall.

The world won’t maintain their ‘awe’ that will fade.

So what we have is, using the metaphor- a team coach and a team (us). Now what coach goes to another coach and says, My guy was wrong to foul your guy… we are prideful and arrogant.

Even if you think it’s true, the other team won’t respect you for bringing down your team like that. That just never works, yeah?

  194. Indycoltsfan says:

With the danger level in this world cranking up daily we have to rely on teleprompter odumba for leadership. we are screwed!

  195. VotingFemale says:

Obama is not yet humbled… not yet tempered with the fires of reality… and we pay the price for the election a totally inexperienced totally unprepared arrogant Socialist Elitist who would rather occupy himself with driving up his polls by attacking all conservative Americans than do what he was hired to do for all Americans…

In my view he is a damn white-hating racist bastard and is damaging this country like no other president in our entire history.

And the DEM Party Leadership squashed Hillary’s rightful nomination to promote the most Left Wing Socialist ever to take the office.

  196. rosehips says:

m2, in high school I was an all star and although we were by far the best team in the league, another team beat us in the playoffs. After the game, I chatted with the other team and insisted that they celebrate that night and that my teammates and I were going to join them. My coach saw me being all chatty right after the biggest disappointment of my career and almost went ballistic on me. she got over it.

  197. samiam60 says:

The 3 am phone call from the campaign trail a funny parody:
    http://www.nbc.com/Saturday_Night_Live/video/clips/3am-phone-call/229104/
If this is inappropriate please delete it VF. I just thought it funny.

  198. rosehips says:

oh and that was in basketball,

  199. m2elena says:

ahh but were you bustin’ on your team and joking around with the other one rosehips? That’s what Obama does.

Fine to make nice, but don’t tear down your own team to do it, in the end- ‘he’ will look like the bitter fool.

  200. m2elena says:

I’m working on a blog post about comic books…
    lol…

  201. rosehips says:

sam, that skit is a total kick! I have rarely stayed up late enough, or been home on a Sat night to watch SNL since about high school.

  202. rosehips says:

m2, nah wasn’t busting on my team cuz we was the best and they won on a fluke. but honestly they out psyched us and our coach actually got them outraged when she said in the newspaper that we couldn’t be beat.

  203. davidbingster says:

I keep see the word High School. How old is every one?

    I am 43 in about a month

  204. Indycoltsfan says:

  208. rosehips says:

m2, my mom and her friends were 29 every year when I was growing up.

  209. VotingFemale says:

  217. billalmighty says:

aw, m2…30 is a great age. old enough to be taken seriously, young enough to not be cranky all the time. lol. you should enjoy that, not be sad 🙂

  218. VotingFemale says:

I am working on a new post for today…

    the center of attraction? Pelosi

  219. LisaInTX says:

    David
    I’m in my 40’s…that’s all I’m giving up…LOL

  220. m2elena says:

    Yea!
we all stop aging mentally by about 26 I think.
    so we’re all 26.

  221. billalmighty says:

i actually watched glen beck last night and didn’t turn it off angrily after my usual shouting rant back at the tv. i was proud of myself

  222. rosehips says:

lol bing, sure 29 was the best!

  223. LisaInTX says:

My horse trainer said that he is upset at getting older. His mind is still 25 yet his body is 65 and they DO NOT agree with what the other can still do.
I’m understanding more every year now, exactly what he means by that too. :-/

  224. m2elena says:

    glenn is a sweetie….
he was not even considered dangerous until he moved from headline news to fox news. Even though he’s the same guy… Just shows how detractors paint people.

  225. davidbingster says:

Is it not working still? I just figured I couldn’t see it?

  226. billalmighty says:

you know, m2…glen is a permanent self-described victim. it’s like everything is unfair and unbalanced against glen. he’s a wingnut, and i disagree with him…but i watch him to try to learn. i’m pretty weird

  227. rosehips says:

    lol @ wingnut. hey bill.

  228. rosehips says:

no posts from me in two days.

  229. m2elena says:

I used to listen to Glenn on the radio from 2002 to 2005.

Then I couldn’t find him, guess the station dropped him.

There have been times where I CRIED. CRIED from laughing SO HARD. He is hilarious. And these times were not about politics. He’s just funny as all hell.

  230. VotingFemale says:

    I am impressed, sir!

independent thinking is a higher form of intellect…

    billalmighty says

i actually watched glen beck last night and didn’t turn it off angrily after my usual shouting rant back at the tv. i was proud of myself

  231. billalmighty says:

    hi rose 🙂

  232. m2elena says:

Yeh, he’s not in my city anymore…
    ain’t that lame.

I knew something happened to him, I’d go to tune him in, and he wasn’t there.

  233. billalmighty says:

that’s for sure…glen is funny and i do respect him a little, i have to admit. at least he’s trying to do something. i wish he’d stop with the conservative victim routine

  234. m2elena says:

he’s funnier on his radio show, it’s no holds bar hilarity… doesn’t have to present any sort of image but his own. And again, I’m not just saying he’s funny about politics, but everything!!

  235. rosehips says:

I’ve never seen glenn be funny. I guess I haven’t watched him enough. I’ll have to try again.

  236. billalmighty says:

rose…it’s hard to make it to the funny spots. he usually makes me so mad within the first 10 minutes of the show that i have to turn on espn for a while….thank goodness olbermann’s not at espn any more either….sheesh!

  237. m2elena says:

I’ve had to pull the car over because the tears from laughing so hard impeded my driving.

Time to get baby dressed and go out and schtuff…
    later y’all!

  238. billalmighty says:

    have a good one m2

  239. Indycoltsfan says:

  240. rosehips says:

    http://www.ireport.com/docs/DOC-248977

  241. billalmighty says:

  243. rosehips says:

It is frickin’ 22 degrees outside this morning!

  244. Indycoltsfan says:

ireports is pretty lame lately. everyone is afraid to be too confrontational because the ban maniac davidw will ban you for anything anymore.

  245. rosehips says:

and I am working on a little post about blood lead levels and how they are discovering that there are cardiovascular problems from much lower levels than the current safety standard. It’s a concern as there was a lead problem in the community I came from, where my kids went to school.

  246. Indycoltsfan says:

I don’t know what happened to cher. Who knows why anyone gets banned these days.

  247. davidbingster says:

Not sure how I feel about Dimmit

  248. Indycoltsfan says:

    dimmitt is a trip!

  249. billalmighty says:

    hmmm…rose – on dimmit

his analogy of the bigger kid being able to push the weaker kid down and twist his arm into submission is good…..except it doesn’t apply here i/m/o. the weaker kid is innocent in this comparison

if the analogy were correct, it would be the bigger bully who finally met his match and was pushed down into submission by someone seeking justice….not the innocent kid being bullied

everyone is ok when a bully gets what’s coming to him….that’s an argument that should be considered

  250. samiam60 says:

rosechips, 22 degrees, where do you live? Minnesota or something?

  251. Indycoltsfan says:

Hey old dukker. John Wayne was one of my favorites too. He had a great carreer.

  252. Indycoltsfan says:

Rose lives I believe in washington state.

  253. samiam60 says:

Indycoltsfan, Yah I remember as a kid that he was the all American Hero. We don’t have many of those anymore.

  254. samiam60 says:

    billalmighty, well stated comparison.

  255. billalmighty says:
