No Al Qaeda Smoking Gun? How about an Al Qaeda Smoking Johnson?

No Al Qaeda Smoking Gun?

How about an
Al Qaeda Smoking Johnson?

The Obama Administration sent forth their newest Media Damage Control Spin Meister (John Brennan – the Obama Czar for Security and Counter-terrorism) around to the Television Studios Sunday to protect and defend the flying public’s security the Obama Administration’s Homeland Security Ineptness.

Why does this guy still have a job?

Answer: Brennan is Obama’s sacrificial holdover Bush Security Czar who should have resigned when Bush left office. A Bush Era Security Czar during Obama’s Era of Terrorism Appeasement who supported waterboarding? ROFL

Like, Obama actually listens to advice from this guy?

Color Brennan the ‘Obama Fall guy with Bush DNA!’ lol

Brennan is useful to Obama, but not in the way that is beneficial to the American Public or Brennan personally or professionally.

I see Brennan as an idiot who over-stayed his presence in the job.

I am sure there will be folks saying this is all Brennan’s fault… and how convenient! …a ready made conservative fall guy waiting on Obama’s shelf for the Watch Listed, non-body-searched Al Qaeda Crotch Bomber to show up and blow his Johnson off as the airliner approached Detroit.

The CIA is concerned that the Terrorist Organizations around the world are developing new tools of Terrorism after the failed airline attack of last week.
Word has it that the Terrorists are developing a
” Crotch Caddy ” able to hold several explosive devises at one time including the dreaded
    ” Tampon Bomb “.

The Tampon Bomb will have a fuse instead of the standard string attached and will be long enough to hang down a pant leg and be lit just above the shoe.

In response to this new threat President Obama has order that all flights coming into the United States must now be No Smoking flights.

Morning Bell: The System is Failing
    Posted January 4th, 2010 at 9.30am

This past weekend the American public learned that not only was the Obama administration briefed about the bombing technique attempted on Flight 253, not only did the United States have information that a Nigerian was being prepared for a terrorist attack by al Qaeda in Yemen, but our government also knew that an “Umar Farouk” was involved.

Following these revelations, the Obama administration again took to the Sunday shows to defend their national security record. Last week Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano tried to convince Americans that “the system worked”. She failed. This Sunday, Deputy National Security Adviser for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism John Brennan did admit that the system failed on Christmas Day but still insisted: “Every other day the system has worked this year….The system is working.”

No, it is not. The complete failure of the Obama administration to connect the dots on the Flight 253 bomber was not an isolated incident. On June 2nd of this year, Adulhakim Mujahid Muhammad, upset about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, shot and killed one soldier and wounded another while they were standing outside a military recruiting center in Little Rock, Arkansas. And on November 5th, Nidal Malik Hasan, also upset about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, opened fire at Fort Hood, Texas, killing 12 people and wounding 31 others. And on December 10th, five young men, all Muslim extremists from Northern Virginia, were arrested in Pakistan at the home of a man linked to a radical jihadist group.

Since 2001, there have been 28 failed terrorist attacks against the United States. That averages out to about three foiled attempts per year. In 2009, there were six failed attempts — the most in one year. As troubling as these incidents are by themselves, Americans should be concerned about a White House that looks at this body of evidence and then declares “the system is working.” No, it is not.

The problem is not, as Brennan would have us believe, an isolated incident of “human error.” It is a failure of leadership. A failure by the occupant of the White House to admit we are at war and use the tools at his disposal to protect. Instead of providing stability and confidence in the intelligence community by seeking the renewal of key investigatory authorities authorized under the USA Patriot Act, President Obama has settled for a six-month extension tacked on to the Defense appropriations bill. Instead of going to Congress and pushing for a comprehensive war-on-terror detainee system, President Obama has punted the issue to the Federal Courts. Instead of promising victory for our war on terror efforts in Afghanistan, President Obama sent fewer troops than were required for a maximum military effort and gave al Qaeda a set date for our withdrawal.

Faulting the administration for a lack of leadership is not meant as a partisan criticism. Scoring political points won’t make us safe. The terrorists don’t care if they kill Republicans or Democrats or the West Wing is held by the left-wing or the right-wing. Nobody wants the White House to fail in this mission. But the President needs to stop blaming his predecessor and look forward. He needs to start over. Make winning the war against terrorism the top priority of his administration and act like a war president day in and day out.

    Quick Hits:

    * Democrats in Congress are pushing for quick confirmation of President Barack Obama’s Transportation Security Administration nominee Erroll Southers, despite the fact Southers admitted he misled Congress about incidents in which he inappropriately accessed a federal database for information on his estranged wife’s boyfriend.
    * Iran will conduct a large-scale military exercise next month, coinciding with what government officials now say is a deadline for the West to respond to its counteroffer to a nuclear-fuel deal.
    * According to an analysis of shipping records Chinese companies are evading existing U.S. sanctions on Iran.
    * Beginning with the Obama administration’s decision to impose staggering tariffs on tires from China, trade disputes between Beijing and Washington are escalating.
    * An Alameda Superior Court judge has declared California government furloughs of public sector unions illegal and ordered government workers back to work at full pay.

In a measure undertaken to prevent more carnage outside federal buildings, Security Czar John Brennan announced a “gun-free” zone surrounding all federal buildings in America. Anyone possessing a gun within a 50 mile diameter of any federal building will be subject to arrest. Press Secretary Robert Gibbs was quoted as saying “it’s not a constitutional issue. It’s a national security issue. Americans need to adjust to changing times. We promised change, didn’t we?”

  51. rosehips says:

    hey kynk!

    belle, McVeigh hated the gov’t.

we had some radical white supremists living near us when I lived up north. Two of the brothers were involved in a police shootout in 1997, I think in OH. You may remember it belle. They were the Kehoe brothers.
Their mother and younger brothers were living in our community under assumed names. I didn’t realize it when they were in the reading program I coordinated. I paired one of the kids up with a volunteer, who happened to be a local newspaper reporter. She was at the top of the Kehoe’s hitlist when they were arrested.
She realized after talking to the kid that he was the little bro of the convicted Aryan murderers. whoops…lol

Jumping in again, are they serious about the government 50 mile safe zone?? That is unconstitional!! Say I live in Tampa Florida, a 50 mile safe zone from a government building would virtually mean that no one could carry a gun in Tampa, this has to be BS, if not look out for my next post….

A Kehoe associate, Faron Lovelace, kidnapped a local businessman and his wife back in 1995. These rules they are coming up with are so complex, we will all have nervous breakdowns under the pressure of having to remember them. Go see my post on the lists of countries. The Obama administration can’t deal with lists from guests at the White House to Watch Lists
to list of counties whose cits will be scanned. There are no surprises here and Al Qaeda thrives on surprise. We are led by Dumb and Dumber.

Washington (CNN) – Most of Rep. Parker Griffith’s staff resigned Monday morning, nearly two weeks after the former Blue Dog Democrat announced his intention to join the Republican Party.

Eleven staff members tendered their resignation, including Griffith’s chief of staff, legislative director and press secretary. Griffith’s campaign consulting team announced in December that they were ending their relationship with the first-term congressman.

“Parker Griffith has abandoned the legacy of conservative leadership,” Sharon Wheeler, Griffith’s chief of staff said in a statement released by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

“We believe he made a mistake – a well-intentioned but misguided mistake that is not in the interest of the great people of North Alabama who elected him a year ago as a Democrat,” Wheeler said in a statement, adding that staffers “cannot, in good conscience, continue working for him.”

Griffith was first elected in 2008 with 52 percent of the vote in the conservative 5th district of Alabama. John McCain beat Barack Obama by 23 points in the district that cycle.

French Revolution! Carbon tax ruled unconstitutional just two days before taking effect
French President Nicolas Sarkozy has argued the tax is necessary to combat climate change and reduce the country’s dependence on oil.

Lawmakers who want to extend health coverage to illegal immigrants will not block the passage of the final health care reform bill so long as the White House offers a substantive promise to start pushing comprehensive immigration legislation this year.

Democrats who want a comprehensive bill that reforms immigration law but also offers a pathway to citizenship have threatened to vote against health care if illegals aren’t included in the new system, making immigration one of the sticking points as Democratic leaders negotiate the final details.

    Thanks for the heads up.
IMO—If the person is QUALIFIED for the job and meets all the requirements—I personally could care less, but that THEY make their “GENDER or change thereof” a factor to exploit and BRAG about, only gives me the CREEPS and shows how these ‘special interest” advocates are pushing their agendas ….

  91. m2 says:

Lisa, I got something else… Let me pull it up…

  92. LisaInTX says:

    M2
If the bill does not cover Illegal immigrants, then this CORRUPT, Scheming , economy destroying admin, will just LEGALIZE them after the bill is passed and they STILL will be included under it.
I see it as a NO WIN for those of us that will have to pay for this monster they have created.
We are going to be dropping our private insurance in Nov…..it costs us $400 a month for full coverage plus dental….and we can not afford an increase in our coverage to pay for everyone else….hope Champus is still allowed as that will be ALL we have left!

  93. LisaInTX says:

In France, if at least 60 Deputies of the House and 60 Senators appeal to the Constitutional Council, it has the power to pronounce on the constitutionality of a proposed law – in the present case, the 2010 national budget of France, which contained enabling provisions (loi deferee) for a carbon levy. The Council found that these enabling provisions were unconstitutional on two grounds: that the exemptions contained within the provisions for a carbon levy vitiated the primary declared purpose of the levy, to combat carbon emissions and hence “global warming”; and that the exemptions would cause the levy to fall disproportionately on gasoline and heating oils and not on other carbon emissions, thereby breaching the principle that taxation should be evenly and fairly borne.

  94. m2 says:

Of course it covers illegals. It also will destroy insurance and replace it with Government Bureaucracy.

Nothing these assholes do is moral or just. All this time they argue about this or that for votes and in the end, abortion, socialized bureacracy, and illegals…

    It will ALL be there.

That is because it’s not about health but a permanent 1-Elite Party redistributing all wealth, and pocketing power.

Well now Politico and Big Gov’t are reporting that the White House is denying the ‘Bertha Lewis’ name as not that Bertha Lewis (ACORN)…

I know it’s difficult, as rational as we Americans are, to not take a person by their word… I once knew a pathological liar. It was beyond puzzling for me to adjust to.

But we now know all those people ARE the ppl in question.

Lisa, these ppl in the White House are enemies of this nation.

    Ridiculous.

FDR days are HERE again!!! And Nobmam kept his word on this one, that he wanted things like FDR did….yep—-love that communist transparency…..It’s in our faces for REAL!

  123. LisaInTX says:

Propane here is $240 for 100 gals…..during winter we may use 100 gals per month….

He makes it all sound so simple. But what I think the Republicans need do is highlight solutions that will work and stop regurgitating the same old thangs that helped to bring our economy down, and continues to pull us under.

From the article: To regain the public confidence, Steele says the GOP should, among other things, expose the “reign of error” inherent in liberal policies, contrast conservative and liberal principles, and highlight the damage caused by Obama’s policies while explaining conservative solutions.

The Reverend Jesse Jackson was actively contemplating a run for the presidency of the United States of America. He traveled throughout the nation and Black Americans greeted him at every stop with the enthusiastic chant, “Run Jesse, Run!” For the first time in American history, the Black community was galvanized behind a favorite son candidate with a real chance to win. Tens of thousands of Blacks and others began to enter into the political process behind the leadership of their Black champion, Jesse Jackson.

A group of Jews formed an organization called “Jews Against Jackson” and on November 11, 1983 they placed an advertisement in the New York Times with a photograph of Rev. Jackson with Palestine leader Yasir Arafat with the headline:

A group of Jews formed an organization called “Jews Against Jackson” and on November 11, 1983 they placed an advertisement in the New York Times with a photograph of Rev. Jackson with Palestine leader Yasir Arafat with the headline:

DO YOU BELIEVE THAT ANY JEW
    SHOULD SUPPORT THIS MAN?
    SHOULD ANY DECENT AMERICAN?

The ad claimed that Rev. Jackson “IS A DANGER TO AMERICAN JEWS, TO THE STATE OF ISRAEL AND TO AMERICA ITSELF.” “We believe,” they continued, “that he is building a coalition of malcontents who will be a disaster for Jews, for Israel, for America, for the free world… We are afraid and we intend to act. We intend to pressure national and political leaders to openly condemn Jesse Jackson and cut all political ties and funds to him. WE WILL EXPOSE JESSE JACKSON FOR THE DANGER HE REALLY IS: RUIN JESSE, RUIN!… The Jackson machine is more powerful than you know and we must stop it. YOU CAN STOP IT… JESSE JACKSON IS NO GOOD FOR JEWS, FOR ISRAEL OR FOR AMERICA. STOP HIM. RUIN JESSE, NOW.

The American Heritage Dictionary defines “ruin” as the “total destruction or disintegration.” It became clear to many that these open threats created a tension in which Rev. Jackson might have been assassinated.

    The “Hitler” Remark-What’s the Truth?
February 25, 1984 In a speech given by Min. Farrakhan at a rally for Jackson, Min. Farrakhan noted the unusually bitter attacks on Jackson by Jewish leaders and organizations.

Louis Farrakhan, the leader of the Nation of Islam, has repeated for a national television audience his description of Adolf Hitler as ”a very great man.”

Mayor Koch of New York replied in a later segment of the same program Sunday that Democrats must reject ”the racism of Farrakhan and Jesse Jackson,” whom Mr. Farrakhan is supporting for President, if they are to win the Presidency in 1984.

    Low favorables: Democrats rip Rasmussen

Democrats are turning their fire on Scott Rasmussen, the prolific independent pollster whose surveys on elections, President Obama’s popularity and a host of other issues are surfacing in the media with increasing frequency.

The pointed attacks reflect a hardening conventional wisdom among prominent liberal bloggers and many Democrats that Rasmussen Reports polls are, at best, the result of a flawed polling model and, at worst, designed to undermine Democratic politicians and the party’s national agenda.
On progressive-oriented websites, anti-Rasmussen sentiment is an article of faith. “Rasmussen Caught With Their Thumb on the Scale,” blared the Daily Kos this summer. “Rasmussen Reports, You Decide,” the blog Swing State Project recently headlined in a play on the Fox News motto.
“I don’t think there are Republican polling firms that get as good a result as Rasmussen does,” said Eric Boehlert, a senior fellow with Media Matters, a progressive research center. “His data looks like it all comes out of the RNC [Republican National Committee].”

“Whether intended or not, Rasmussen polls have been used by conservative voices as talking points, and when that happens on one side it inevitably produces a reaction from the other,” explained Mark Blumenthal, a polling analyst and the editor and publisher of Pollster.com. “Rasmussen produces a lot of data that appear to produce narratives conservatives are promoting, and that causes a reaction.”

While Scott Rasmussen, the firm’s president, contends that he has no ax to grind — his bio notes that he has been “an independent pollster for more than a decade” and “has never been a campaign pollster or consultant for candidates seeking office” — his opponents on the left insist he is the hand that feeds conservative talkers a daily trove of negative numbers that provides grist for attacks on Obama and the Democratic Party.

Nothing, however, sets off liberal teeth gnashing more than Rasmussen’s daily presidential tracking polls, which throughout the year have consistently placed Obama’s approval numbers around 5 percentage points lower than other polling outfits.

“He polls less favorably for Democrats, and that’s why he’s become a lightning rod,” said Charles Franklin, a University of Wisconsin political scientist who studies polling. “It’s clear that his results are typically more Republican than the other person’s results.”

On Saturday, Dec. 26, for example, Rasmussen’s daily tracking had Obama’s approval at 44 percent, with a disapproval figure of 56 percent. A Real Clear Politics compilation of other pollsters, meanwhile, showed Obama with an average approval figure of 49.5 percent and disapproval of 45.1 percent.

“He’s been underpolling Obama all year,” said Boehlert. “People start thinking, ‘There’s something going

Pending Home Sales Plunge 16% in November

Pending home sales unexpectedly plunged in November, according to a report issued Tuesday by the National Association of Realtors, a big correction after several months of positive gains for a closely-watched indicator of housing market activity.

According to the industry group, November pending home sales activity dropped by 16% to a reading of 96.0, compared with the previous month’s reading of 114.3. The drop was much larger than expected by Wall Street, which was looking for a dip of 2% for the indicator for November.

It was the largest drop, point-wise, since the industry group started the index in 2001, dragging the indicator to its lowest level since June.

NAR officials said the drop was related to a decrease in sales activity as the original Dec. 1 deadline for the first-time home-buyers tax credit approached. Pending home sales are contracts signed, meaning it could take several months for a home buyer to finance and finish the transaction. A November home buyer may have been too late to qualify for the original deadline.

The U.S. government extended in November the $8,000 tax credit to a new deadline of April 30, in response to industry and consumer pressure. Housing market sales have risen 15.5% from a year ago, which many believe is primarily related to the tax credit.

Lawrence Yun, NAR’s chief economist, said activity was expected to slow in the winter but he expects it to pick up again as the new April deadline approaches.

“The fact that pending home sales are comfortably above year-ago levels shows the market has gained sufficient momentum on its own,” Yun said in a statement. “We expect another surge in the spring as more home buyers take advantage of affordable housing conditions before the tax credit expires.”

Regionally, the pending home sales plunged 25.7% in the Northeast, but remain up 14.7% from the same period a year ago. In the Midwest, sales dropped 25.7% but remain higher by 9.2% from 2009, while sales in the South dropped 15% and remain up 14.7% from a year ago. Sales in the closely watched Western region of the country declined slightly, by 2.7%, and remain higher by 21.4% from 2008.

Report: Freed Guantanamo Detainees Head to Yemen to Rejoin Al Qaeda

At least a dozen former Guantanamo Bay inmates have rejoined Al Qaeda to fight in Yemen, The Times of London reported Tuesday, amid growing concern over the ability of the country’s government to accept almost 100 more former inmates from the detention center.

The Obama Administration promised to close the Guantanamo facility by January 22, a deadline that it will be unable to meet. The 91 Yemeni prisoners in Guantanamo make up the largest national contingent among the 198 being held.

Six prisoners were returned to Yemen last month. After the Christmas Day bomb plot in Detroit, U.S. officials are increasingly concerned that the country is becoming a hot-bed of terrorism. Eleven of the former inmates known to have rejoined Al Qaeda in Yemen were born in Saudi Arabia. The organization merged its Saudi and Yemeni offshoots last year.

The country’s mountainous terrain, poverty and lawless tribal society make it, in the opinion of many analysts, a close match for Afghanistan as a new terrorist haven.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton voiced concern about the growing strength of Al Qaeda in Yemen.

“Obviously, we see global implications from the war in Yemen and the ongoing efforts by Al Qaeda in Yemen to use it as a base for terrorist attacks far beyond the region,” she said.

A Yemeni, Hani Abdo Shaalan, who was released from Guantanamo in 2007, was killed in an airstrike on December 17, the Yemeni Government reported last week. The deputy head of Al Qaeda in the country is Said Ali al-Shihri, 36, who was released from the prison in 2007. Ibrahim Suleiman al-Rubaish, who was released in 2006, is a prominent ideologue featured on Yemeni Al Qaeda Web sites.

C-SPAN Challenges Congress to Open Health Care Talks to TV Coverage

The head of C-SPAN has implored Congress to open up the last leg of health care reform negotiations to the public, as top Democrats lay plans to hash out the final product among themselves.

The head of C-SPAN has implored Congress to open up the last leg of health care reform negotiations to the public, as top Democrats lay plans to hash out the final product among themselves.

C-SPAN CEO Brian Lamb wrote to leaders in the House and Senate Dec. 30 urging them to open “all important negotiations, including any conference committee meetings,” to televised coverage on his network.

“The C-SPAN networks will commit the necessary resources to covering all of the sessions LIVE and in their entirety,” he wrote.

Congressional leaders, however, reportedly are expected to bypass the traditional conference committee process, in which lawmakers from both parties and chambers meet to reconcile differences between the House and Senate versions of a bill. Instead, The Associated Press reports that top Democrats at the House, Senate and White House will figure out the final product in three-way talks before sending it back to both chambers for a final vote.

This format would seem ideal for closed-door meetings, which congressional Democrats have used many times to figure out sensitive provisions in the health care bill — though President Obama pledged during the campaign to open up health care talks to C-SPAN’s cameras.

“That’s what I will do in bringing all parties together, not negotiating behind closed doors, but bringing all parties together, and broadcasting those negotiations on C-SPAN so that the American people can see what the choices are,” Obama said at a debate against Hillary Clinton in Los Angeles on Jan. 31, 2008.

Lamb urged Congress in his letter to fling open the doors in the final stretch of the negotiations.

“President Obama, Senate and House leaders, many of your rank-and-file members, and the nation’s editorial pages have all talked about the value of transparent discussions on reforming the nation’s health care system,” he wrote. “Now that the process moves to the critical stage of reconciliation between the chambers, we respectfully request that you allow the public full access, through television, to legislation that will affect the lives of every single American.”

Lamb said his network would use “the latest technology” to be “as unobtrusive as possible” during the talks.

Here’s more about Rasmussan verses Liberal cry babies, whahhhh whahhh whahhh ;)

“Rasmussen’s daily tracking poll of Obama support consistently shows the president doing much poorer than other polls. This is due to the fact that Rasmussen carefully screens respondents for those who are “likely voters” rather than simply polling all adults as Gallup and other pollsters do.

This Politico piece by Alex Isenstadt explains further:

Rasmussen is quick to point out the accuracy of his surveys – noting how close his firm was to predicting the final outcome in this fall’s New Jersey governor’s race. (Rasmussen’s final survey in the race showed Republican Chris Christie edging out Gov. Jon Corzine 46 percent to 43 percent. Christie beat Corzine 48 percent to 45 percent on Election Day.) And he argues that he was among the first pollsters to show Obama narrowing the gap with Hillary Clinton in the 2008 Democratic presidential primary.

Last year, the progressive website FiveThirtyEight.com’s pollster ratings, based on the 2008 presidential primaries, awarded Rasmussen the third-highest mark for its accuracy in predicting the outcome of the contests. And Rasmussen’s final poll of the 2008 general election – showing Obama defeating Arizona Sen. John McCain 52 percent to 46 percent – closely mirrored the election’s outcome.

Rasmussen, for his part, explained that his numbers are trending Republican simply because he is screening for only those voters most likely to head to the polls – a pool of respondents, he argues, that just so happens to bend more conservative this election cycle.

Polling all adults – a method used by Gallup, another polling firm that conducts a daily tracking poll of Obama – Rasmussen acknowledged, is “always going to yield a better result for Democrats.”

What I got from it, was they actually weren’t teaching any different economic systems. They were teaching Marxism Good, Capitalism Bad. And that’s it. One teaching. That’s what the kids were complaining of… that’s what I got from it.

okay, I watched the rest. very interesting. I do think it’s good to teach students about different economic systems and compare the pros and cons of each.

m2, maybe she would. She eventually got fired and I believe it was because she spoke out. When word got out what she did/said, she was not long for the pink slip notice.

if your personal behavior affects your job negatively, you should be fired.

  265. samiam60 says:

M2 I am just taking an overview of the Jobs situation, lack of auto sales, home sales, unemployment numbers ( many are running out of benefits) foreclosures moving off the charts, as this happens and last but not least, the final nail, Health care and Cap and Trade. This economy is poised to die. In my humble opinion.

  266. m2 says:

we knew it was coming sam. We knew what Obama was before he usurped the POTUS position…

Is this why they gave Fannie/Freddie executives 6 million dollar bonuses and a blank check from the federal gov’t?

  267. samiam60 says:

Ancient Rome fell from with in. Power, greed, corruption and moral decay.

    Sounds familiar don’t it?

  268. rosehips says:

sami, I think you might be right. We are screwed. So why do I care about how much I weigh?

  269. m2 says:

I mean the mortgage was set up worse than the default-swap credit mess. It’s like they compounded the problem. It’s not hard to understand basic economics…. so is Obama setting up a bigger bubble on purpose.

    Way to go.

  270. samiam60 says:

2010 and 2012 are America’s last best hope for Salvation. If we lose those, we lose the Republic.

“The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country. …We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of. This is a logical result of the way in which our democratic society is organized. Vast numbers of human beings must cooperate in this manner if they are to live together as a smoothly functioning society. …In almost every act of our daily lives, whether in the sphere of politics or business, in our social conduct or our ethical thinking, we are dominated by the relatively small number of persons…who understand the mental processes and social patterns of the masses. It is they who pull the wires which control the public mind.”

In their totality and in their interactions these phenomena do constitute a common threat with demands the solidarity of all peoples. But in designating them as the enemy, we fall into the trap about which we have already warned namely mistaking systems for causes. All these dangers are caused by human intervention and it is only through changed attitudes and behaviour that they can be overcome. The real enemy, then, is humanity itself.”

m2, they’ve been studying us and plotting and manipulating our lives for many years. They can try to control the internet and suppress our voices. But they will have a tough time trying.

I heard that China’s filtering system went down yesterday and for several hours, the chinese had free access to banned websites. I hope they made good use of the time!

  278. Foxwood says:

“Students should also be taught the alternate history of the US that doesn’t glorify every thing that our ancestors have done.”

So instead we teach that G. Washington made quotes that were really Marx’s quotes…

  279. samiam60 says:

What Reagan set up pulled us out of the Carter years and got us back on our feet. It worked well for years until the Democrats got the majority rule and used it against us.

Republicans warned the Democrats for years about Fanny and Freddie.

Bottom line: The Democrats want to bring down the American Economy and join us with the One World Government. It is all a plot by un-American Liberals to destroy this Republic.

  280. m2 says:

Uh no. It was all possible by Law makers legislating that people who can’t afford homes are to have them.

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and their executives who hand-hold Congresspeople in D.C., and Wall Street who gives 4:1 to the Democrat party. The unholy alliance between big fat cats (most of whom are part of the Obama team), and Washington passing laws or ignoring loopholes in favor. Compounded by ACORN rats getting illegals 400,000 mortgages.

And we went through it, as you know, but Obama’s fix is to give Fannie/Freddie a blank check, and give the people who can’t afford their homes welfare. ie. The NEXT bubble.

come on Rose, do we really have to go through that again.

You’re going to believe Pelosi who is right now composing a bill that will end our economy behind closed doors, and Franks- who only cares only about the buddies on Wall Stree & in Fannie/Freddie, and what they think about him?

    Yeah, it was Reagan’s fault.

Or it was Jimmy Carter’s Community Reinvestment Act that unleashed ACORN corruption, Clinton deregulating in the late 90’s, and all the Hog Thieves (most Democrats) on Capital Hill working scam with their counterpart bankers. And lawyers like Obama representing ACORN and their right to give illegal immigrants 400,000 mortgages…

  281. Foxwood says:

    Do we glorify Custer?

    Yeah! Custer killed Indians!

    Bummer, they killed our hero…

  282. m2 says:

    deregulations… what a gas!
Where’s all the regulation for the Government Sponsored Agencies that hold/garantee 90% of the nations mortgages…

They just got a blank check on Christmas Eve.

If Fannie and Freddie weren’t so instrumental in the last 15 years, we would not have had a credit/mortgage meltdown. They made it possible to scam.

    Government insertion strikes again.

  283. m2 says:

It’s weird that they still believe liars who are right now lying to their face, and they recognize it… I mean Rosehips knows the leadership in the Dem party are liars.

So why trust them? Isn’t it obvious they haven’t fulfilled ONE campaign promise. They are not about Open Government, bipartisanship, or even creating genuine liberal and authentic rule??

    Crazy….

  284. m2 says:

  288. Foxwood says:

Let’s teach our children everything bad that’s happened and it’s our founding fathers fault and that Capitalism is bad, and we need to apologize for being Americans. That’s what they teach in school today. I guess that’s ok…

When Sen. Barack Obama was given the floor to speak during White House negotiations, according to White House aides, he did so raising concerns about a House Republican alternative to the Paulson/Bernanke $700 billion bailout. But those concerns weren’t necessarily his, as he was not aware of the GOP plan before reviewing notes provided him by Paulson loyalists in Treasury prior to entering the meeting.

According to an Obama campaign source, the notes were passed to Obama via senior aides traveling with him, who had been emailed the document via a current Goldman Sachs employee and Wall Street fundraiser for the Obama campaign. “It was made clear that the memo was from ‘friends’ and was reliable,” says the campaign source.

The memo allowed Obama and his fellow Democrats to box in Republican attendees and essentially took what President Bush had billed as a negotiating meeting off the rails.

“Paulson and his team have not acted in good faith for this President or the administration for which they serve,” says a House Republican leader who was not present at the White House meeting, but who instead is part of the team hammering out the House GOP alternative. “We keep hearing about how Secretary Paulson is working with Democrats on this or that, yet he never seems to consider working with the party that essentially hired him. Perhaps he’s auditioning for a Democratic administration job.

Goldman Sachs, the Wall Street leviathan that is heavily invested in the cap-and-trade carbon market scam, has admitted it has developed and used software that can manipulate such financial markets.

The revelation came during proceedings in a legal case with enough plot twists to make even John Grisham proud; it was made, not by Goldman, but by an assistant U.S. Attorney.

“(B)ecause of the way this software interfaces with the various markets and exchanges, the bank has raised a possibility that there is a danger that somebody who knew how to use this program could use it to manipulate markets in unfair ways,” Joseph Facciponti told a federal magistrate in an unusual Saturday afternoon bail hearing — and not just any Saturday afternoon, but the Fourth of July.

    from CBS news:
There’s little belt-tightening in evidence in Washington, D.C.: Counting benefits, the average pay per federal worker will leap from $72,800 in 2008 to $75,419 next year.

    From Simply Hired:
    Average Government Salaries
In USD as of Jan 5, 2010

    government $56,000

    USA Today:
The growth in six-figure salaries has pushed the average federal worker’s pay to $71,206, compared with $40,331 in the private sector.
