It is, almost certainly, the most important speech of his presidency. On Thursday Barack Obama will address the Muslim world from Cairo University. And no one quite knows what he is going to say.There is speculation, of course. Last week the Arab press was a-twitter over Obama’s last-minute decision to visit Saudi Arabia en route to Egypt. Was this a swipe at Egypt? Did it signal an endorsement of the Arab peace initiative? Or was it the usual American brown-nosing of the royal autocrats who have all that oil?

Hillary Clinton, the secretary of state, fuelled the chatter by insisting on the freezing of West Bank settlements. On Thursday, in a meeting with Mahmoud Abbas, the Palestinian president, Obama referred to the 2003 road map agreement which required an end to settlement activity. “We can’t continue the drift,” he said. “We need to get this thing back on track.”

The Israeli press, meanwhile, has seemed close to panic. David Horovitz, editor of The Jerusalem Post, argued that “in the briefing rooms of the American Israel public affairs committee conference [in Washington], as in the corridors of power back home in Israel, the contours were discernible not merely of a crack . . . but of a veritable abyss between Israel and America – a rupture that goes far beyond rhetorical gaps and conflicting emphases”.

One reason for this excitability is aware-ness on all sides of Obama’s huge charismatic clout – and, at the same time, of the near tabula rasa of his views on Middle Eastern diplomacy. Remember his silence during the bombardment of Gaza – and his Delphic distance from the Washington fight over the proposed appointment of Chas Freeman, a critic of Israel, to his national security team?

There are good reasons for the president to keep his views close to himself. George Mitchell, his special envoy, is shuttling around; the new Israeli government relies on a prickly bloc of rightists; the Iranian elections in June could change everything; the remnants of Al-Qaeda are testing the fledgling Iraqi government; and the Muslim nuclear power of Pakistan is in a brutal counter-insurgency campaign.

In such a climate, where you have to find a path between Jews and Arabs, Sun-nis and Shi’ites, you tread slowly and carefully. Obama is as careful as anyone in the presidential office in recent times.

My feeling is he has a shrewd sense of the regional politics and no illusions about fast change. The striking distinction from the Bush legacy is Obama’s conviction that moving tangibly towards a viable two-state solution in Israel/Palestine is the hinge on which this project depends. (It could be argued that George W Bush migrated reluctantly to this view in his second term, under the guidance of Condi Rice.)

Obama is, in this respect, undoubtedly on a collision course with Binyamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister, who wants to disarm Iran of nuclear potential before ceding territory that could be used by Iran’s militant proxies. But Obama sees progress in Palestine as a prerequisite for persuading Iran to behave.

Meanwhile, Iran’s nuclear programme is advancing and Netanyahu has declared it must be slowed by the end of the year. Time is running out. Like everyone else, Obama is aware of the dangers. A unilateral Israeli strike on Iran, for example, could be the most disruptive event in US-Israeli relations since Suez. No one wants that.

This conflict will not, one senses, be the point of Obama’s speech. What he wants is a new foundation for America’s relationship with the Muslim world. He chose Cairo over Jakarta, in Indonesia, because he understands that if you can move Islam in its historic centre, the impact is far greater than if you try in its more moderate and tolerant peripheries. (Jakarta would also have led to a mass of biographical angles in the press, which Obama wants to avoid.)

Oddly, I suspect his speech will be less liberal than Bush’s famous address on the need for democracy in the Arab world, which he saw as the cure for Islamism. What Obama brings, that neither of the Bushes could, is his middle name, his skin colour and his biography. His father was an African who lived under imperial rule and Obama spent part of his childhood in a Muslim country – Indonesia – and has Muslim relatives. By daring to go to Cairo, he can show that America is less governed by fear than it once was. He can also show a simple thing: respect.

The speech will be a historic paean to Islam and to Muslim culture. He will appeal to Muslim pride; simply by showing up he will demonstrate that he is trying to defuse and unwind the misunderstandings and enmities that riddle the region.

One hopes there won’t be the usual pabulum about moderates and extremists that is all too familiar to Muslim ears after years of Bush. Instead Obama will be emphatically positive, knowing that a defence of Islam by an American president in Cairo is the one clear statement he can make that will resonate widely.

So here we have the usual Obama paradox: a mass emotional appeal joined to a cool, governing realism. He is trying to do in international affairs what he has done domestically: appeal to the masses in order to apply subtle pressure and leverage on the elites.

If he can make the region’s leaders less able to wield antiAmericanism to cover up their own errors, and if he can shift even to a minor degree the suspicion that young Muslim men feel towards the West, then he could undermine the appeal of Islamism. He could weaken the environment in which terror gathers speed. And he could also make it easier for some Arab autocracies to stay in America’s good graces and cooperate in its fight against terrorism.

Obama will surely fail in the short run. If there is any region that manages to buoy the cynic, it is the Middle East. But he is a patient man and patient in his radicalism. He is attempting to get the forces in that region to respond to him and, by responding to him, to show their cards.

Then, having laid the groundwork on a mass and elite level, he will deal with the problems methodically and sometimes ruthlessly.

What he wants, of course, is a radically new order: a nonnuclear Iran integrated into the region as a friend to Iraq and restraining its militant Shi’ite sectarianism; a two-state solution in Palestine/ Israel that can last; and a slow unwinding of the fear and hostility that 9/11 so dramatically unleashed.

He can dream, I suppose. And we can hope.

Left-wing groups in Washington, D.C., are panicked. The New York Times and other Team Obama whitewashers have tried hard to suppress mounting evidence of legally suspect coordination between the Obama presidential campaign, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), and Obama’s old employer Project Vote (ACORN’s non-profit canvassing arm). Alas, the truth keeps seeping out.

At a closed-door pow-wow hosted Thursday at the left-leaning Center for American Progress, activists discussed how to combat a relentless stream of corruption charges from ACORN/Project Vote whistleblowers. But it’s too late for a reputation bailout. Former Project Vote official and whistleblower Anita MonCrief has harnessed the Internet to crowd-source a massive cache of documents showing ties between Obama staff and the supposedly “non-partisan” ACORN operations.

Last fall, the New York Times abandoned an investigation into whether Obama had shared donor lists with Project Vote, a 501(c)(3) organization that is prohibited from engaging in political activity. Public editor Clark Hoyt earlier this month called it “the tip that didn’t pan out.” Critics suggested that the donor lists could have been compiled through public records. But I have obtained the lists — not only of Obama donors, but also lists of Democratic National Committee, Hillary Clinton, and John Kerry contributors. The records include small donors to the Obama campaign who are not disclosed in public campaign finance databases. It’s information only a campaign could supply.

MonCrief testified under oath last fall that her then-boss, Karyn Gillette, gave her the Obama donor list and told her the campaign had furnished it. Moreover, e-mail between ACORN, Project Vote, and other affiliates, including ACORN’s subsidiary, Citizens Services, Inc. (CSI), make explicit references to working on “Obama campaign related projects.” [Click here for the e-mail.] The “list of maxed out Obama donors” is explicitly mentioned in staff e-mail. [Click here for the e-mail.] Another message from ACORN/Project Vote official Nathan Henderson-James warns ACORN and affiliated staff to prepare for “conservatives…gearing up a major oppo research project on Obama.”

Henderson-James wrote obligatorily, “Understand I’m not suggesting that we gear up to defend a candidate’s campaign.” But that, of course, is exactly what the ACORN enterprise did.

We should prepare for this information being used to tie Obama to the bogus voter fraud charges leveled against PV and ACORN from the last two election cycles. It may or may not gain traction, it may or may not be chosen as a way of attacking him, but I think we cannot afford to ignore the possibility and plan what our response(s) might be (if any).

Understand I’m not suggesting that we gear up to defend a candidateís campaign, but prepare for the scrutiny and possible ancillary attacks that will come our way because of this.

Why does this matter? Transparency, tax dollars, and electoral integrity. ACORN’s own lawyer, Elizabeth Kingsley, acknowledged last year that a vast web of tax-exempt ACORN affiliates were shuffling money around – making it difficult to impossible to track whether campaign rules and tax regulations were being followed. ACORN receives 40 percent of its revenues from taxpayers. Americans deserve to know whether and how much commingling of public money with political projects has occurred over the last four decades – and what role the Obama campaign played in this enterprise.

Remember: Last August, the Obama team admitted its failure to properly disclose $800,000 in payments to ACORN’s subsidiary, CSI – which works hand-in-hand with Project Vote and the ACORN parent organization. Obama mysteriously re-classified the campaign advance work expenditures as “get-out-the-vote” activities. Nary a peep from electoral integrity watchdogs.

Despite heated denials from Team Obama, the links between ACORN, Project Vote, and CSI are inextricable. As Obama himself reminded ACORN leaders after its political action committee endorsed his presidential candidacy in February 2008:

I come out of a grassroots organizing background. That’s what I did for three and half years before I went to law school. That’s the reason I moved to Chicago was to organize. So this is something that I know personally, the work you do, the importance of it. I’ve been fighting alongside ACORN on issues you care about my entire career. Even before I was an elected official, when I ran Project Vote voter registration drive in Illinois, ACORN was smack dab in the middle of it, and we appreciate your work.

As I’ve reported before, the Obama campaign’s “Vote for Change” registration drive, running in conjunction with ACORN/Project Vote, was an all-out scramble to scrape up every last unregistered voter sympathetic to Obama’s big-government vision.

In an e-mail message to whistleblower MonCrief last summer, New York Times reporter Stephanie Strom told the truth: “The real story to all this is how these myriad entities allow them to shuffle money around so much that no one really knows what’s getting spent on what.” By October 6, 2008, Strom had thrown in the towel in the wake of blistering phone conversations with the Obama campaign. She wrote:

“I’m calling a halt to my efforts. I just had two unpleasant calls with the Obama campaign, wherein the spokesman was screaming and yelling and cursing me, calling me a rightwing nut and a conspiracy theorist and everything else…I’d still like to get that file from you when you have a chance to send it. One of these days, the truth is going to come out.”

It’s only just begun.

Obama Turns Blind Eye to New Black Panther Voter Intimidation; Asks US Justice Department drop charges

It turns out Obama has instructed the US Justice Department to drop all charges relating to the New Black Panthers’ violations of the Federal Voting Rights Act which prohibits any “attempt to intimidate, threaten or coerce” any voter or those aiding voters.

So… Barack, seems you are EMPATHIC to a group of thugs and likely potential domestic terrorists if they see fit to do that for some reason.

Did you think this would just pass quietly under the Radar? Granted you have most of the News Media in your back pocket but not all of it.

Let’s take a look at what The Washington Times is reporting…

THE WASHINGTON TIMES: Obama Administration Ignores Voter Intimidation

Imagine if Ku Klux Klan members had stood menacingly in military uniforms, with nightsticks, in front of a polling place. Add to it that they had hurled racial threats and insults at voters who tried to enter.

Now suppose that the government, backed by a nationally televised video of the event, had won a court case against the Klansmen except for the perfunctory filing of a single, simple document — but that an incoming Republican administration had moved to voluntarily dismiss the already-won case.

The Voting Rights Act is very clear. It prohibits any “attempt to intimidate, threaten or coerce” any voter or those aiding voters.

Surely that would have been front-page news, with a number of firings at the Justice Department.

The flip side of this scenario is occurring right now. The culprits weren’t Klansmen; they belonged to the New Black Panther Party for Self-Defense. One of the defendants, Jerry Jackson, is an elected member of Philadelphia’s 14th Ward Democratic Committee and was a credentialed poll watcher for Barack Obama and the Democratic Party when the violations occurred. Rather conveniently, the Obama administration has asked that the cases against Mr. Jackson, two other defendants and the party be dropped.

Obama Popularity, no value; North Korea’s Kim Jong-il Spits in Obama’s Face knowing His is a Smoke and Mirrors Presidency who is Afraid of Him

Kim Jong-il, the North Korean Dictator of a puppet state of the People’s Republic of China, set off an Atomic Bomb last weekend and followed it with two missile launches… all this on the heels of a recent launch of an ICBM thinly disguised as a “Satellite Launch.”

Additionally, Kim Jong-il now threatens South Korea with War because South Korea just signed an International Agreement to stop WMD proliferation known as the PSI — the Proliferation Security Initiative to share intelligence and attempt to search ships carrying nuclear technology to proliferate weapons of mass destruction.

The election of Obama as President further destabilized world security in additional ways we are now discovering. The election of Obama was a welcome turn of events for Kim Jong-il and the People’s Republic of China.

Obama is about as effective in dealing with North Korea as would be his Illegal Alien Auntie who lives in Boston.

Undoubtedly, Obama frets in a state of frozen fear… and possibly thinking to himself: “What would Dick Cheney do if he were president?”

I doubt Mr Cheney will be asked his opinion… after all Cheney is a Conservative whitey target of Obama & Co’s demonization for political fun and profit and in any event… Obama just can’t stomach conservatives, white or black, especially if they don’t grovel at his feet and kiss his ass.

Lets look back in recent history to see what we find…

Dick Cheney ‘tried to block North Korea nuclear deal’

Vice President Dick Cheney fought furiously to block efforts by Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to strike a controversial US compromise deal with North Korea over the communist state’s nuclear programme, the Telegraph has learned.

“The exchanges between Cheney’s office and Rice’s people at State got very testy. But ultimately Condi had the President’s ear and persuaded him that his legacy would be stronger if they reached a deal with Pyongyang,” said a Pentagon adviser who was briefed on the battle.

Mr Cheney’s office is believed to have played a key role in the release two months ago of documents and photographs linking North Korea to a suspected nuclear site in Syria that was bombed by Israeli jets last year.

Six months later than promised, Pyongyang last week handed over details to China of its plutonium stocks and invited US officials to witness the symbolic destruction of an already disabled cooling tower at its Yongbyon plutonium plant.

But the declaration gave no information about its programme to enrich uranium or its sharing of nuclear technology with other rogue states – two demands that Washington had previously insisted were non-negotiable if a deal was to be reached.

This was a significant backdown in America’s approach to a state that Mr Bush once described as part of the “axis of evil”.

Dr Rice acknowledged that the US had gone ahead with the pact although North Korea had not answered Washington’s suspicions about uranium enrichment and nuclear technology proliferation.

“Thus far we don’t have the answers we need on either,” she said during a visit to South Korea. But she insisted that the US was committed “to the abandonment of all programmes, weapons and materials”.

Mr Cheney was so angry about the decision to remove North Korea from the terrorism blacklist and lift some sanctions that he abruptly curtailed a meeting with visiting US foreign experts when asked about it in the White House last week, according to the New York Times “I’m not going to be the one to announce this decision. You need to address your interest in this to the State Department,” he reportedly said before leaving the room.

The surprise deal was condemned by both neoconservative hardliners and mainstream Republicans who argued that it left North Korea with nuclear weapons and rewarded Pyongyang’s intransigence.

“Usually the word ‘meltdown’ applies to a nuclear reactor. In this case it applies to Bush administration diplomacy which once aimed to halt the North Korean programme and has now become an abject failure,” Richard Perle, chairman of the Pentagon defence policy board in the run-up to the 2003 Iraq invasion, told the Telegraph.

Danielle Pletka, vice-president of the American Enterprise Institute think-tank that was closely associated with first-term Bush administration policy, argued the deal would encourage nuclear proliferation. “The evolution of the administration’s approach to North Korea has been an object lesson in muddled diplomacy, a ‘how-not-to’ guide for handling rogue states,” she said.

The deal received surprisingly harsh comment from the leading Republicans on two key committees in the House of Representatives.

“Lifting sanctions and removing North Korea from the list of state sponsors of terrorism flies in the face of history and rewards its brutal dictator for shallow gestures,” said Pete Hoekstra, the top Republican on the House Intelligence Committee.

It also prompted criticism from some independent foreign policy experts and leading Democrats who argued that the Administration’s switch from a hardline refusal to negotiate to a willingness to compromise had given Pyongyang the time to acquire enough material for several nuclear bombs.

“There are some big big holes in this which are going to attract criticism inevitably,” said Michael Green, an East Asia expert at the Centre for Strategic and International Studies. “The North Koreans have whittled us down to where we are, which is essentially we’re giving them everything we’ve promised at this stage in exchange for just the plutonium piece.”

Mr Bush and Dr Rice argued that verification was still crucial as North Korea would have to show international monitors that it was dismantling its nuclear facilities for the deal to be implemented. Dr Rice persuaded the president to take a new approach after Pyongyang tested a nuclear device in 2006, a move which she argued had changed “the rules of the game”.

His response is proof of his racism and the anti-white chip on the shoulder aggressiveness and arrogance of which Reverend David Manning spoke of in the video above. I, for one, am not intimidated nor cowed and call it like I see it… Socialist promoted and inspired Anti-White Racism.

Cheney Frightens Obama; Insecurity is a terrible thing to have, huh Barack?

Turns out that Obama, knowing for two weeks that former VPOTUS Dick Cheney had scheduled a televised speech, arranged to give his GITMO speech immediately prior to Cheney’s speech.

Now isn’t that interesting? And it showed a weakness within Obama that everyone already knows his has… he can not STAND for anyone to criticize him or his policies and takes it as a mortal threat to his entire being.

So… Obama musters all his personal presentation skills and stands before the US Constitution and makes his Presidential TelePrompter speech with all the flourish and all the Obama Drama he can summon.

He made excuses and false statements to justify his actions and plans knowing Cheney was going to speak next and likely would shoot his bull crap full of holes like a slice of swiss cheese… and that is precisely what Cheney did. Cheney did not hold back and for the first time in Obama’s presidency a force of great power stood up and explained Obama’ Smoke and Mirrors Bull Crap.

See, Obama needs to control the Media in order to prevent his Theatrical BS scam from being exposed.

The spectacle of two dueling speeches with a mile of each other in downtown Washington was extraordinary. I was at the Cheney event and watched Obama’s address on a big screen beside the empty lectern that the former veep stepped behind barely two minutes after his adversary had finished.

So who won the fight? (it’s hard to use anything other than a martial or pugilistic metaphor). Well, most people are on either one side or the other of this issue and I doubt today will have prompted many to switch sides.

But the very fact that Obama chose to schedule his speech (Cheney’s was announced first) at exactly the same time as the former veep was a sign of some weakness.

The venues for the speeches said something. Obama showily chose the National Archives, repository for many of the founding documents of the US, and spoke in front of a copy of the Constitution – cloaking himself in the flag, as Republicans were often criticised for doing.

To hear Cheney speak, we were crammed into a decidedly unglamorous and cramped conference room at AEI, favourite think tank of conservative hawks.

The former veep’s speech was factual and unemotional and certainly devoid of the kind of hokey, self-obsessed, campaign-style stuff like this, from Obama’s address today: “I stand here today as someone whose own life was made possible by these documents. My father came to these shores in search of the promise that they offer. My mother made me rise before dawn to learn their truths when I lived as a child in a foreign land.”

In terms of Obama’s purported aim for his speech – to present a plan for closing Guantanamo Bay aimed at placating Congress – he failed. The reception on Capitol Hill was lukewarm with even Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

Cheney’s speech wasn’t stylish, there were no rhetorical flourishes and the tone was bitingly sarcastic and disdainful at times. But it was effective in many respects and Cheney showed that Obama is not invulnerable. Here are 10 of the punches he landed on the President’s jaw:

1. “I’ve heard occasional speculation that I’m a different man after 9/11. I wouldn’t say that, but I’ll freely admit that watching a coordinated, devastating attack on our country from an underground bunker at the White House can affect how you view your responsibilities.”

Anyone who was in New York or Washington on 9/11 (I was here in DC) was profoundly affected and most Americans understand this. Obama was, as far as I can tell, in Chicago. His response – he was then a mere state senator for liberal Hyde Park – was startlingly hand-wringing and out of step with how most Americans were feeling. This statement by Cheney reminds people of the tough decisions he and Bush had to make – ones that Obama has not yet faced.

2. “The first attack on the World Trade Center was treated as a law- enforcement problem, with everything handled after the fact: arrests, indictments, convictions, prison sentences, case closed.”

This was the pre-9/11 mindset, much criticised after the attacks. Many sense that this is the approach Obama is increasingly taking hold.

3. “By presidential decision last month, we saw the selective release of documents relating to enhanced interrogations. This is held up as a bold exercise in open government, honoring the public’s right to know. We’re informed as well that there was much agonizing over this decision. Yet somehow, when the soul searching was done and the veil was lifted on the policies of the Bush administration, the public was given less than half the truth.”

The release of the documents was a nakedly political move by Obama and Cheney called him on it. This passage from Obama’s speech today came across as completely disingenuous: “I did not do this because I disagreed with the enhanced interrogation techniques that those memos authorized, and I didn’t release the documents because I rejected their legal rationales — although I do on both counts. I released the memos because the existence of that approach to interrogation was already widely known, the Bush Administration had acknowledged its existence, and I had already banned those methods.”

4. “It’s hard to imagine a worse precedent filled with more possibilities for trouble and abuse than to have an incoming administration criminalize the policy decisions of its predecessor. Apart from doing a serious injustice to intelligence operators and lawyers, who deserve far better for their devoted service, the danger here is a loss of focus on national security and what it requires.”

Obama’s suggestion that Bush administration officials might be prosecuted for legal and policy judgments about what was an was not permissible in interrogations was chilling. I doubt most Americans have any enthusiasm for such a witch-hunt and it flies in the face of Obama’s stated desire not to “re-litigate” the Bush years.

5. “We had a lot of blind spots after the attacks on our country, things we didn’t know about al Qaeda. We didn’t know about al Qaeda’s plans, but Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and a few others did know. And with many thousands of innocent lives potentially in the balance, we did not think it made sense to let the terrorists answer questions in their own good time, if they answered them at all.”

The political climate is very different now from what it was just after 9/11 but it could change again in a heartbeat if and when there is another terrorist attack. Most Americans do not favour torture but do want the CIA and other agencies to question suspected terrorists very vigorously indeed if there is any chance they might know something about an attack on the US homeland.

6. “On his second day in office, President Obama announced he was closing the detention facility at Guantanamo. This step came with little deliberation, and no plan. Now the president says some of these terrorists should be brought to American soil for trial in our court system. Others, he says, will be shipped to third countries; but so far, the United States has had little luck getting other countries to take hardened terrorists.”

Obama’s grand announcement at the start of his administration that Gitmo would be closed within a year was clearly not properly thought out. If he fails to achieve what he promised, he will pay a big political price and Cheney was marking his card on the issue.

7. “The administration has found that it’s easy to receive applause in Europe for closing Guantanamo, but it’s tricky to come up with an alternative that will serve the interest of justice and America’s national security.”

The notion that Obama makes gestures designed to court popularity abroad is one that could find increasing resonance – many Republicans strongly suspect it already.

8. “If fine speech making, appeals to reason, or pleas for compassion had the power to move them, the terrorists would long ago have abandoned the field.”

As Cheney said this, sarcasm dripped from his lips. Obviously “fine speech making” but no real substance is not a new charge against Obama and it hits home. And Cheney successfully made the point that much of the rhetoric from the Left tends to suggest that if only the US did not waterboard people, if only the US was viewed as Obama rather than Bush, Venus rather than Mars then it would be universally loved and al-Qaeda would wither away. UNfortunately, that’s not the real world.

9. “It’s worth recalling that ultimate power of declassification belongs to the president himself. President Obama has used his declassification authority to reveal what happens in the interrogation of terrorists. Now let him use that same power to show Americans what did not happen thanks to the good work of our intelligence officials.”

Cheney is pushing Obama to declassify documents relating to the information gained from terrorist suspects who were subjected to Enhanced Interrogation Techniques. This puts Obama in a bind. If he does so, it prolongs an argument he wants to move on from and prolongs the Obama vs Cheney meme that is distracting and doesn’t really help him. if he doesn’t, he looks like he has something to hide.

10. “To the very end of our administration, we kept al-Qaeda terrorists busy with other problems. We focused on getting their secrets instead of sharing ours with them. And on our watch, they never hit this country again. After the most lethal and devastating terrorist attack ever, 7- 1/2 years without a repeat is not a record to be rebuked and scorned, much less criminalized.”

It’s indisputably an achievement of the Bush administration that it prevented the US from being attacked after 9/11. By ramming this point home, Cheney tees things up for some very tough questioning of Obama in the event that the US is attacked again.

Obama Presidential Hypocrisy; Attacking another Presidency as Un-American re: Enhanced Interrogation Techniques

Today Barack Obama made a televised address to defend his tactics of Polical Warfare on the previous Presidential Administration’s use of Congressional (DEM and GOP) sanctioned, and legally deemed appropriate and justified, Enhanced Interrogation Techniques in limited ways to separate Terrorist Enemies of the American People from their secrets of pending attacks and knowledge of Al Qaeda operations and operatives.

The key note  of Obama’s speech is as follows:

“I categorically REJECT the assertions that these [Enhanced Interrogation Techniques] are the most effective means of interrogation.

Whats more, They Undermine the Rule of LAW.

They alienate us in the world.

They serve as a recruitment tool for terrorists.

And, increase the will of our enemies to fight us… while Decreasing the will of others to work with America.

It risks the lives of our troops by making it less likely that other will surrender to them in battle …and more likely that Americans will be mistreated if they are captured.

In short, they [EITs] did not advance our war and counter-terrorism efforts; they undermined them.

And that is why I ended them once and for all.”

Obama went on to quote Senator McCain saying McCain said, “torture is a great propaganda tool for those who recruit people to fight against us.”

My rebuttal to Barack Obama:

Ok, Mr President, since you reject Enhanced Interrogation Techniques,  just what are the More Effective Means of Interrogation that you have authorized and substantiated as more effective interrogation means? You are obviously using secret more effective means of interrogation… what are they? Prove they are more effective.  Where is the transparency you laud when convenient and ignore when inconvenient?

Or is it that you are making stuff up as propaganda for you and your party’s Political Gain?

I submit you have no intent to use, nor any means of, interrogation methods that are more effective in separating Enemy Terrorists from their secrets, our knowledge of which is absolutely vital to keeping Americans safe from Islamic Terrorist harm.

To imply that you have such interrogation techniques which are more effective is unsubstantiated and thus dismissed as propaganda to support your ban of EITs.

You say EITs undermine the rule of Law? That is absurd on it’s face. What is legal is the rule of law. That you don’t agree with the use of EITs does not make their use illegal. EITs were deemed legal by the US Justice Department prior to their use. To the best of my knowledge the use of these specific EITs is still not illegal… where is the court ruling on it? Where is the US Law written which declared them illegal?

You and your party generated propaganda, for Political Gain, to characterize EITs as torture to gain a Political Advantage during the 2008 Election race. Your, and your party’s, characterizations of EITs in itself gave Enemy Terrorists propaganda tools with which to recruit people to their cause… the same is true of the use of GITMO Camp Delta.

There is no better suited place on earth to detain Enemy Terrorists War Fighters. That you and your party used GITMO as a weapon of Political Gain created ready to use propaganda tools for our enemies. If you and your party truly had the best non-partisan interests of American People at heart you would not have used it as a weapon for Political Gain, rather you would have engaged the Conservatives in a bipartisan way to mitigate any usefulness of propaganda for our enemies by ensuring GITMO became totally transparent to all Americans and our critics and allies.

Our Terrorist Enemies have no compunctions nor reservations to use any means of torture ever devised including televised beheadings. We are dealing with unrestrained sociopaths who have no limits of use of savage atrocities against Americans and captive Americans.

You say EITs increases the will of Terrorist Enemies to fight us. Sir, how much more motivated can a totally motivated Terrorist Enemy become? They want all Jews Dead… all of them and will not stop until they achieve their goal. That the US stands in the way of that goal is the reason they declared Jihad on us. You expect us to believe that forgoing EITs will encourage them to be less motivated? You insult my intelligence, Barack.

You say EITs make it less likely for Enemy Terrorists to surrender to US Forces? Tell that to suicide bombers…

Our enemies know, in view that EITs have been banned by you, thus protecting their secrets, they now have more to fear by being killed in battle rather than optionally being taken prisoner with no reason to believe intelligence will likely be forthcoming because there are no expectations of effectiveness of your pretend better results getting interrogation techniques in lieu of EITs.

Barack, when you “declared as a fact:” In short, they [EITs] did not advance our war and counter-terrorism efforts; they undermined them, you offered no proof to back up your so-called fact and your statement refuted your own earlier statements that the use of EITs did in fact provide intelligence which did advance our war  and counter-terrorism efforts.

Obama went on to quote Senator McCain saying McCain said, “torture is a great propaganda tool for those who recruit people to fight against us.”

That is something few could disagree with. Define “torture.” There are techniques some call torture and others in good conscience do not call torture and there is that which all agree is real torture.

EITs were legally deemed not to be “torture” and your propaganda to the contrary does not make it “torture.”

In summary, where is the use of propaganda by You about the real torture being used against Americans and our allies  and innocent Muslim civilians by Islamic Terrorist Enemies of America?

We know they torture our troops in the most cruel and inhuman ways possible… including maiming and rape and death.

Where is your damn outrage against our Terrorist Enemy’s use of real torture?

Where is the damn outrage of critics of the US against our Terrorist Enemy’s use of real torture?

Face it Barack… with you it is all about Political Gain. That you promote the use of anti-white racism as a propaganda tool for you and your Party’s Political Gain is obvious to the world. And it gets no pass from me.

Meanwhile, four Islamic Terrorists in the United States were arrested for staging foiled terrorist attacks against Jews and Military Aircraft… and this had nothing to do with EITs and had everything to do with Islamic hatred of Jews. And by the way, Barack, three of these men were recruited within the American Penal System… a favored place of recruitment of Islamic Domestic Terrorists by Al Qaeda.

Meanwhile Pelosi continues her unhindered Jihad against the former Presidental Administration stirring up hatred against Conservative Americans for Political Gain.

Biden Leaks Location of VP Bunker to the Press; Puts US National Security at Grave Risk

Joe Biden, the Vice President of the United States of America is a clear and president danger to US National Security, by his actions.

Vice President Biden has shown he lacks even basic abilities of sound judgment based on his behavior as VPOTUS. In my view, Vice President Biden needs to be immediately replaced with Hillary Clinton as Vice President and barred from ever serving in public office again.

Joe Biden is obvious suffering from mental incapacity and is not fit to serve in the office of Vice President. I strongly question the sanity of Joe Biden and the judgement of Obama picking this person as a member of his administration in any capacity and bypassing Hillary Clinton as VP.

Obama is obviously more motivated by his own personal self-interests than the interests of the United States as evidenced by his extraordinary lack of common sense judgement.

Vice Moron Biden blew the location of the Vice Presidential Bunker which is absolutely a Top Secret of Extreme National Security.
There is no other choice for the US Government now but to select a new location and build a new Vice Presidential Bunker at a cost of millions and millions of taxpayer dollars. Even that is not a full recovery of the problem Biden just caused.

Biden Reveals Location of Secret VP Bunker

The vice president, well-known for his verbal gaffes, confirms at a dinner the existence and location of a secret hidden bunker that Cheney is believed to have used after the 9/11 attacks.

Vice President Joe Biden, well-known for his verbal gaffes, may have finally outdone himself, divulging potentially classified information meant to save the life of a sitting vice president.

According to a report, while recently attending the Gridiron Club dinner in Washington, an annual event where powerful politicians and media elite get a chance to cozy up to one another, Biden told his dinnermates about the existence of a secret bunker under the old U.S. Naval Observatory, which is now the home of the vice president.

The bunker is believed to be the secure, undisclosed location former Vice President Dick Cheney remained under protection in secret after the 9/11 attacks.

Eleanor Clift, Newsweek magazine’s Washington contributing editor, said Biden revealed the location while filling in for President Obama at the dinner, who, along with Grover Cleveland, is the only president to skip the gathering.

According to Clift’s report on the Newsweek blog, Biden “said a young naval officer giving him a tour of the residence showed him the hideaway, which is behind a massive steel door secured by an elaborate lock with a narrow connecting hallway lined with shelves filled with communications equipment.”

Clift continued: “The officer explained that when Cheney was in lock down, this was where his most trusted aides were stationed, an image that Biden conveyed in a way that suggested we shouldn’t be surprised that the policies that emerged were off the wall.”

In December 2002, neighbors complained of loud construction work being done at the Naval Observatory, which has been used as a residence by vice presidents since 1974.

The upset neighbors were sent a letter by the observatory’s superintendent, calling the work “sensitive in nature” and “classified” and that it was urgent it be completed “on a highly accelerated schedule.”

Residents said they believed workers were digging deep into the ground, which would support Biden’s report of a secret bunker, but officials never confirmed the purpose of the work performed.

The revelation is the latest from Biden, who has a long history of political blunders.

Most recently, he said in a televised interview that if a family member asked him about traveling he’d advise staying away from public transportation or confined spaces to avoid swine flu — a remark described as “borderline fearmongering” by an airline spokesman.

Obama & Co has created the largest government deficit in the history of the United States… a state of spending more money than the government actually has available to spend to the tune of a 1,800 billion dollars of over spending… a number which is four times the amount of deficit spending last year during a GOP Administration/DEM Congressional Majority which included 800 billion dollars of TARP bailout money to save the country from a Socialist Engineered collapse of the National Housing Market via forcing banks to grant bad loans to folks unqualified for the loans.

To finance Universal Health Care, to refund Social Security and Medicare which is running out of money, Obama can not borrow money to pay for it… he has essentially hit the credit limit and China says… no more Obama! You are done borrowing!

So… watch in the coming weeks and months as Obama uses his Slick Media Packaged Skills to attempt to sell you on a tax rate for all Americans which will reach the 50% tax rate or higher. Oh… Did I mention he will also trot out the “additional adjustments” he spoke of awhile back but did not explain what he meant by “additional adjustments?”

Any guesses what those “additional adjustments” might be? mmmm… some of you know and some don’t.

There is no other way to do what he plans to do. And guess what?

It will destroy what is left of the economy and the standard of living of all but the independently wealthy… such as Obama and his Socialist Buddies in Congress and their business pals.

As we lose more of our money to taxpaying to the government we consume fewer and fewer goods and services, and more and more people loose jobs.

…Just ask the 100,000 people working at auto dealerships who got their pink slips yesterday as a result of the failure of Obama & Co to successfully engineer an Auto Maker Bailout program and instead started telling GM and Chrysler how to run their businesses.

You see, Obama has no MBA …no Master of Business Administration Degree nor has he ever ever run a business… except a campaign trail cool aid stand.

Speaker’s Comments Raise Detainee Debate to New Level

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi‘s extraordinary accusation that the Bush administration lied to Congress about the use of harsh interrogation techniques dramatically raised the stakes in the growing debate over the Bush administration’s anti-terrorism policies even as it raised some questions about the speaker’s credibility.

Pelosi’s performance in the Capitol was either a calculated escalation of a long-running feud with the Bush administration or a reckless act by a politician whose word had been called into question. Perhaps it was both.

For the first time, Pelosi (D-Calif.) acknowledged that in 2003 she was informed by an aide that the CIA had told others in Congress that officials had used waterboarding during interrogations. But she insisted, contrary to CIA accounts, that she was not told about waterboarding during a September 2002 briefing by agency officials. Asked whether she was accusing the CIA of lying, she replied, “Yes, misleading the Congress of the United States.”

Washington now is engaged in a battle royal of finger-pointing, second-guessing and self-defense, all over techniques President Obama banned in the first days of his administration. Both sides in this debate believe they have something to prove — and gain — by keeping the fight alive.

Both sides have champions and villains. Pelosi has become a lightning rod for criticism from conservatives, and a hero to the left, much as former vice president Richard B. Cheney has become a target of the left and the darling of many on the right.

The speaker’s charges about the CIA’s alleged deception and her shifting accounts of what she knew and when she knew it are likely to add to calls for some kind of independent body to investigate this supercharged issue, though Obama and many members of Congress would like to avoid a wholesale unearthing of the past at a time when their plates are full with pressing concerns.

Closing the books on the George W. Bush years has proven harder than anyone imagined — certainly harder than Obama hoped. The intensifying argument over what the CIA told Pelosi and when comes on top of the debate over whether any Bush administration officials should face legal action for their roles in authorizing or implementing the interrogation policies and whether a national commission is needed to get to the truth.

The speaker’s discomfort was evident yesterday as she was grilled by reporters for the first time since the CIA issued information suggesting that she and others were told about the use of the techniques, including waterboarding, at a classified briefing on Sept. 4, 2002. Pelosi was then the ranking Democrat on the House intelligence committee.

The CIA said the briefing included Pelosi and then-Rep. Porter J. Goss (Fla.), who was the committee chairman at the time and who later became CIA director. Two House aides also attended. The CIA’s account said the subject was enhanced interrogation techniques and the particular methods used on Zayn al-Abidin Muhammed Hussein, better known by the nom de guerre Abu Zubaida.

Five months later, on Feb. 5, 2003, after Pelosi had left the intelligence committee, the CIA briefed the panel’s chairman and ranking minority-party member on the detainee interrogation program. Pelosi said her aide Michael Sheehy, who attended that briefing as well as the September briefing, told her that agency officials said they had used waterboarding in some cases. “He said that the committee chair and ranking member and appropriate staff had been briefed that these techniques were now being used,” she said yesterday. “That’s all I was informed.”

Conservatives say that, if Pelosi was so opposed to torture, she should have spoken out forcefully when she learned that these techniques were being employed. Her failure to do so then leaves her in a weakened position to protest now, they argue. An op-ed article by senior Bush White House adviser Karl Rove in yesterday’s Wall Street Journal asked directly: “So is the speaker of the House lying about what she knew and when? And, if so, what will Democrats do about it?”

Pelosi gave some ground on the question of whether she had been informed that waterboarding was being used — though by her account she did not learn about it until February 2003, rather than in 2002, and then only from her aide. Instead of registering her protest to the administration, she said, she set out to help Democrats win control of Congress and elect a Democrat as president.But in attempting to defend herself, Pelosi took the remarkable step of trying to shift the focus of blame to the CIA and the Bush administration, claiming that the CIA accounts represented a diversionary tactic in the real debate over the interrogation policies. That amounted to a virtual declaration of war against the CIA at a time when the Obama administration already has rattled morale at the agency with the release of Justice Department memos authorizing the harsh interrogation techniques.

House Republican Leader John A. Boehner (Ohio) was quick to challenge Pelosi. Within minutes of her contentious news conference, he emerged to question her accusations. He left no doubt that Republicans believe that the speaker has made a major misstep that will hurt her and perhaps her party as this controversy plays out.

The various parties all have their own priorities now. Pelosi not only wants to clear her name but also favors a truth commission to answer questions about how the interrogation policies came to be and whether they were as effective as Cheney and others claim. Cheney is determined to defend the policies he helped shape and to force the new administration into a different posture on its anti-terrorism strategy. Outside groups, and the grass-roots activists they speak for, are prepared to continue litigating the Bush presidency.

Obama has already moved on his policies, deciding to fight the public release of photos showing U.S. soldiers abusing prisoners after earlier saying he favored their release. He cited potential danger for U.S. soldiers that could be caused by the photos’ release, but he must have concluded that the photos would set off another storm at home as well.

The president wants the focus kept on the future and the energies of his entire administration, from the CIA to the Defense Department, as well as the relevant committees on Capitol Hill, engaged in producing an effective policy in Afghanistan and sorting through such difficult questions as what to do with the detainees at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, once that facility is closed next year.

Pelosi is not out of the woods. She could have saved herself some trouble by admitting earlier that she had been informed that the CIA was using waterboarding. By doing what she did yesterday, she has assured that she will remain a central character in the political fight that is raging. But whether by design or accident, she also succeeded in enlarging a controversy that is no longer a sideshow.
