Did you notice the lack of questions about The Obama Administration’s ordered buzzing of New York City with Air Force One at low altitude being chased by two American F-16s at a total cost of $357 thousand dollars from the Obama Suck-Up Press Corps yesterday at Obama’s self-congratulatory prime time self-back-patting-athon?

It never came up… surprise surprise surprise.

No questions were asked that were not approved by Obama ahead of time.

So much for transparency, Mr President, the Teleprompter in Chief.

A FED memo was obtained which is evidence the Administration expected the public to be panicked by their incredibly calloused and insensitive and money wasting stunt…  a stunt that crowned the first 100 days of the most clueless President and Presidential Administration in the history of the country, in my opinion.

Since the Obama Administration has proven time and again their computer savvy and previous use of Photoshop, the excuse of wanting photos of Air Force One buzzing the Statue of Liberty and Ground Zero is not believable. I see it as an act of deliberate domination of Americans by the President. A president who seems to relish the power of management via crisis. This time an act of Government terrorism against the city of New York.

NEW YORK (CBS) ― A furious President Barack Obama ordered an internal review of Monday’s low-flying photo op over the Statue of Liberty.

CBS 2 HD has discovered the feds will have plenty to question.

Federal officials knew that sending two fighter jets and a 747 from the presidential fleet to buzz ground zero and Lady Liberty might set off nightmarish fears of a 9/11 replay, but they still ordered the photo-op kept secret from the public.

In a memo obtained by CBS 2 HD, the Federal Aviation Administration’s James Johnston said the agency was aware of “the possibility of public concern regarding DOD (Department of Defense) aircraft flying at low altitudes” in an around New York City. But they demanded total secrecy from the NYPD, the Secret Service, the FBI and even the mayor’s office and threatened federal sanctions if the secret got out.

“To say that it should not be made public knowing that it might scare people it’s just confounding,” Sen. Charles Schumer said. “It’s what gives Washington and government a bad name. It’s sheer stupidity.”

The flyover — apparently ordered by the White House Office of Military Affairs so it would have souvenir photos of Air Force One with the Statue of Liberty in the background — had President Obama seeing red. He ordered a probe and apologized.

“It was a mistake. It will never happen again,” President Obama said.

The cost of the frivolous flight was about $60,000 an hour and that was just for the presidential aircraft. That doesn’t include the cost of the two F-16s that came along.

The flight by the VC-25, a modified Boeing Co. 747, and two F-16 fighter jets cost $328,835, Air Force spokeswoman Vicki Stein said.

That includes $300,658 for the larger plane, which flew a three-hour mission, and about $28,178 for the F-16 jets, which flew 1.8 hours each, Stein said in an e-mailed statement.

The NYPD was so upset about the demand for secrecy that Police Commissioner Ray Kelly vowed never to follow such a directive again and he accused the feds of inciting fears of a 9/11 replay.

“Did it show an insensitivity to the psychic wounds New York City has after 9/11? Absolutely. No questions about it. It was quite insensitive,” Kelly said.

The mayoral aide who neglected to tell Mayor Michael Bloomberg about it was reprimanded.

His name is Alejandro Mayorkas and he was largely responsible for securing a last minute Clinton Presidential Pardon for a convicted high profile Cocaine Dealer who is the son of a wealthy political donor (Horacio Vignali).

That father, Horacio Vignali, paid Hillary Clinton’s brother several hundred thousand dollars to lobby her husband, President Bill Clinton, for the pardon of  his convicted Cocaine Trafficking son.

Guess what, folks?

When it comes to political contributions, nothing gets Obama’s attention more.

Question: Did Horacio Vignali, Alejandro Mayorkas, or their friends donate money to the Obama Campaign and/or to any of the political organizations who helped Obama get elected?

Obama’s New Immigration Chief Got Argentine Drug Dealer Pardon

A Clinton federal prosecutor who resigned in shame after orchestrating the pardon of a major league drug trafficker will head the Homeland Security agency responsible for overseeing lawful immigration to the United States.

President Barack Obama has proudly crowned Alejandro Mayorkas, U.S. Attorney for the Central District of California from 1998 to 2001, director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Boasting Mayorkas’ credentials as a prosecutor of public corruption, organized crime and civil rights violations, the White House announcement conveniently omits the scandalous accolade he’s best known for.

As U.S. Attorney Mayorkas was largely responsible for freeing a drug dealer serving a 15-year prison sentence for operating a cocaine ring that stretched from California to Minnesota. The convicted drug dealer, Carlos Vignali, is the son of a wealthy political donor (Horacio Vignali) who convinced influential community leaders—mostly recipients of his generous contributions—to advocate for his son’s pardon. He also gave Hillary Clinton’s brother, Hugh Rodham, a couple hundred thousand dollars to lobby the president for a pardon.

Mayorkas’ intervention was the most crucial and by far carried the most weight, Clinton officials later revealed. Vignali was one of 140 pardons and 36 commutations that Clinton granted during his last hours as president. Outraged federal prosecutors in Minneapolis, where Vignali was convicted for trying to sell 800 pounds of cocaine, said Mayorkas called them several times inquiring about the case. The Minneapolis federal prosecutors subsequently wrote the Justice Department strongly opposing the commutation but they were ignored.

A congressional investigation into Clinton’s last-minute pardons blasts Mayorkas for intervening on behalf of Vignali, pointing out that senior law enforcement and political officials should have been precluded from supporting a commutation for such a criminal. Mayorkas resigned in disgrace and went into private practice at a big Los Angeles law firm. Now he’ll run a major government agency that ensures foreigners who present a safety threat don’t get admitted into the country.

Support for Free Market Economy Up Seven Points Since December

Seventy-seven percent (77%) of U.S. voters say that they prefer a free market economy over a government-managed economy. That’s up seven points since December.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey also found that just 11% now prefer a government-run economy, down from 15% four months ago.

Free markets are preferred by 94% of Republicans, 64% of Democrats and 78% of those not affiliated with either major party. Adults under 30 favor free markets by a 79% to eight percent (8%) margin.

Support for free markets does not equal support for a purely laissez faire approach, however. Voters are evenly divided over the need for more government regulation of big business: 46% support the idea, and 43% are opposed. In December, 52% favored more regulation, and only 35% were opposed.

The 77% support for free markets provides an interesting contrast to another recent survey which found that just 53% prefer capitalism over socialism. It appears that many people make a significant distinction between capitalism and a free market economy.

“Free markets are seen in a better light than capitalism because of the recent behavior by America’s largest corporations,” notes Scott Rasmussen, founder and publisher of Rasmussen Reports. “It’s hard for people to embrace a system that lets big business keep profits in good times and then asks for taxpayer bailouts when times are tough. If that’s the way capitalism is perceived, it should be no surprise that people prefer free markets.”

Seventy percent (70%) of voters believe that big business and big government are generally on the same team working against the interests of consumers and investors.

A plurality of voters (46%) say that small businesses benefit more from free markets than big business. Thirty-five percent (35%) hold the opposite view. Most Democrats think big businesses benefit more from free markets, while most Republicans and unaffiliated voters say small businesses are more likely to benefit.

By a 62% to 23% margin, voters also believe that small businesses are hurt more by regulations than big business. This finding is likely driven by public understanding of the way Congress works. Earlier surveys found that 68% say most business leaders contribute to political campaigns primarily because the government can do so much to help or hurt their business.

Other data shows that 59% of American adults believe that when members of Congress meet with regulators and other government officials, they do so to help their friends and hurt their political opponents. In a solid display of agreement across party lines, a majority of Democrats, Republicans and unaffiliateds share this view.

Looking back, most Americans still think that the federal bailouts were a bad idea. But America’s Political Class holds an entirely different view.

A number of indicators suggest some growing short-term optimism about the economy along with a decline in long-term optimism. At the same time, there is a growing concern that the government may do too much in responding to the nation’s economic crunch.

The image of corporate CEOs has hit rock bottom as they are viewed less favorably than members of Congress. Small business owners are viewed in a very positive light.

The Discover Small Business Watch showed a significant increase last month in the confidence of small business owners.

Obama, Democrats Eye Tactic to Shield Health Care Plan From GOP Opposition

Republicans, who have been complaining furiously about the prospect of health care reform passing under fast-track rules, are not planning to go down without a fight.

President Obama and his Democratic allies in Congress are poised to trample Republican opposition to his health care bill with a controversial legislative tactic known as reconciliation.

The fast-track process would protect Obama’s ambitious plan to overhaul the U.S. health care system from a potential GOP filibuster and limit the Republicans’ ability to get concessions. It also would give Democrats far more control over the specifics of the health care legislation.

Under typical Senate rules, 60 votes are needed to advance a bill, but reconciliation would enable Democrats to enact the health care plan with just a simple majority and only 20 hours of debate.

Democrats hold 56 seats in the Senate, and two independents typically vote with the party. Republicans have 41 seats, and there is one vacancy.

Republicans have complained furiously about the prospect of health care reform passing under fast-track rules. But they’re not planning to go down without a fight.

A GOP Senate committee aide told FOXNews.com that Republican lawmakers are considering offering amendments to the legislation that would be unpalatable to Democrats.

Senate Republicans made a similar move with the D.C. Voting Rights Bill, which would have given the city its first seat in the House, by adding a controversial amendment that would repeal most of the District’s local gun-control regulations. That bill now is waiting for a vote in the House.

For the health care bill, Republicans would try to add amendments that require employers to provide a certain number of dollars for every employee and limit the ability of uninsured Americans to choose health care providers, “specific changes that Democrats have said will not be included in any comprehensive health care plan,” the aide said.

“I would assume this is the only option left,” the aide told FOXNews.com.

But Democrats aren’t stopping at health care. Obama’s plan to cut private banks and other lending institutions out of the market for student loans would also move on a filibuster-free path.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., said Friday that most House and Senate negotiators have resolved most of their differences over a congressional budget blueprint designed to advance Obama’s agenda through Congress. The measure will set the rules on how Congress considers Obama’s agenda for the rest of the year.

Lawmakers are rushing to agree on the budget framework in time to give Obama a victory within his first 100 days in office.

The negotiations have centered on the annual congressional budget resolution, which sets the parameters for the legislation that follows. Congressional votes next week would provide a symbolic victory for Obama’s sweeping agenda to enact a universal health care system, invest in education and clean energy and cut the exploding budget deficit to manageable levels.

Obama marks his 100th day in office on Wednesday.

Hoping for a better chance at passing Obama’s health care bill, Democrats have agreed to allow the president’s signature $400 tax cut for most workers to expire after next year.

Obama’s “Making Work Pay” tax cut of $400 for most workers and $800 for couples would expire at the end of 2010 as currently scheduled. The temporary tax cut was part of the economic stimulus plan enacted in February, and Obama is proposing to make it permanent.

The fast-track process could have a downside for Obama, since it’s sure to anger Republicans whose support could help with business, insurers and other key interest groups.

Democrats, including Obama, have said repeatedly that they want the health care debate to be bipartisan and that the filibuster-proof terms would be used only if the GOP obstructs. But Republicans say the move has already poisoned the debate.

“Reconciliation is basically a nuclear weapon to use against the negotiators so what happens is nobody negotiates seriously because they can always go to reconciliation … tilting the playing field unfairly,” said Sen. Judd Gregg of New Hampshire, top Republican on the Budget Committee.

Sen. Max Baucus of Montana, one of the leading Democrats trying to write a health care bill, said Friday that going the fast-track route would only complicate matters, because Republican support is needed to pass legislation that would be broadly accepted.

“When you jam something down somebody’s throat, it’s not sustainable,” Baucus told reporters. “And I want something that will last.”

Obama flip-flopped because of the impact of the Dick Cheney interview on Fox News earlier this week.

In 2002, Pelosi, and other key DEM Congressmen, were told of, and they approved of “enhanced interrogation” techniques which included water boarding.

Additionally, by the release of the TOP SECRET documents, it has opened the door for the release of other documents which specifically prove exactly how many and what attacks were stopped as a result of the application of “enhanced interrogation” techniques.

Causing interrogation discomfort to a high value terrorist detainee is a moral burden.

Allowing people to kill 10s of thousands by avoiding the causing of interrogation discomfort to a high value terrorist detainee is a vastly greater moral burden.

Mankind moral burdens are often value judgments of the lesser of two evils; there are degrees of damnation.

Back to the damage now heading towards Obama & Co…

FOX News has delivered a Freedom of Information Request to the State Department and Congress to force the turnover of all pertinent documents relating to who knew what and when did they know it and what exactly did they know.

Figuring a two month process of refusals and appeals… the documents will be public in June 2009.

The previous Conservative Administration stands to benefit greatly from the misguided and self-serving Witch Hunt waged by Obama & Co.

Clinton Raises Alarms About Spiraling Security in Pakistan

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is raising alarms that the Pakistani government is losing control of its country and ceding ground to Taliban extremists, as she presses lawmakers to approve fresh funding for the region.

In back-to-back days of testimony on Capitol Hill, Clinton raised concern that government-backed law enforcement was losing the northwest region of the country.

“We have to try to strengthen civilian law enforcement” in those tribal areas, she told a House appropriations subcommittee Thursday, after calling the nuclear state a “mortal threat” to the security of the world a day before. “(The administration is) deeply concerned by the increasing insurgency that is destabilizing Pakistan.”

Clinton had harsh words Wednesday for the country that is supposed to be the United States’ key ally in the war against the Taliban and Al Qaeda in Afghanistan.

“I think that the Pakistani government is basically abdicating to the Taliban and to the extremists. But look at why this is happening,” she told the House Foreign Affairs Committee. “If you talk to people in Pakistan, especially in the ungoverned territories, which are increasing in number, they don’t believe the state has a judiciary system that works.”

The comments came after Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari approved Islamic Sharia law in the northwestern Swat valley, which has been overtaken by Taliban forces.

President Obama has invited Zardari and Afghan President Hamid Karzai to the White House in early May, and Clinton made clear that the U.S. government expects Zardari in particular to take a much harder line against extremists.

“It’s corrupt, it doesn’t extend its power into the countryside,” she said of the Pakistani government. “So the government of Pakistan, however it is constituted, which is, of course, their business, not ours, must begin to deliver government services.”

Reuters reported Thursday that Pakistan had sent paramilitary troops to the Buner district, near the capital of Islamabad, practically taken over by the Taliban.

At the same time, Clinton defended the call for diplomacy with Iran. She said Thursday that past policies with Iran have not served to deter the country’s nuclear program.

And she also expressed some hope for Pakistan.

“We’re not interested in putting money into doing what hasn’t worked. And we’ve seen the situation deteriorate over the last eight years in — in Pakistan. And even before it’s been a very difficult country for us to get our arms around and figure out what our ongoing relationship would be like,” she said Wednesday.

“But we are convinced that the democratically elected government in Pakistan shares our goals with respect to the terrorist threat. We just have to figure out how we can best support them and actually getting results.”

President Obama may be using campaign funds to stomp out eligibility lawsuits brought by Americans, as his campaign has paid more than $1 million to his top lawyer since the election.

According to Federal Election Commission records, Obama For America paid $688,316.42 to international law firm Perkins Coie between January and March 2009.

The campaign also compensated Perkins Coie for legal services between Oct. 16, 2008 and Dec. 31, 2008 – to the tune of $378,375.52.

Robert Bauer of Perkins Coie – top lawyer for Obama, Obama’s presidential campaign, the Democratic National Committee and Obama’s Organizing for America – is the same Washington, D.C., lawyer defending President Obama in lawsuits challenging his eligibility to be president.

As WND reported earlier, Bauer sent a letter to plaintiff Gregory Hollister, a retired Air Force colonel, of Hollister v. Soetoro, threatening sanctions if he doesn’t withdraw his appeal of the eligibility case that earlier was tossed by a district judge because the issue already had been “twittered.”

Bauer’s warning was dated April 3 and delivered via letter to the plaintiff’s attorney, John D. Hemenway. It is not the first such warning issued. Lawyers trying to kill a similar California lawsuit filed on behalf of Ambassador Alan Keyes also said they would seek sanctions against the plaintiff’s attorneys in that case unless they left the issue of the president’s eligibility alone.

“For the reasons stated in Judge Robertson’s ruling, the suit is frivolous and should not be pursued,” Bauer’s letter warned. “Should you decline to withdraw this frivolous appeal, please be informed that we intend to pursue sanctions, including costs, expenses and attorneys’ fees, pursuant to Federal Rule of Appellate Procedure 38 and D.C. Circuit Rule 38.”

Bauer also represented Obama and the DNC in Philip Berg’s eligibility lawsuit and various other legal challenges. He and the White House have not responded to WND’s request for comment.

The FEC report also reveals Obama For America has spent nearly $9.5 million in the first three months of this year – of which $6,365 in legal fees paid by Obama For America also went to Oldaker, Biden & Belair, a firm founded by Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden.

Cable television news network CNN has attempted to block a video on YouTube.com that shows “tea party” protesters in Chicago confronting the network’s reporter Susan Roesgen over her allegedly biased and “not fair” coverage of the event.

Members of Founding Bloggers.com were on hand to videotape the crowd’s response to Roesgen’s report, in which she badgered protesters on air, summarizing her report by describing the tea party as “anti-government, anti-CNN, since this is highly promoted by the right-wing, conservative network Fox.”

Roesgen’s report included arguments with the tea partiers, tossing out contrary positions and demanding her subjects justify their positions, as well as an antagonistic interview with a protester whose sign read, “Obama is a fascist.”

“That’s not representative of most of the people out here,” charged an unidentified woman after the CNN cameras were turned off. Confronting Roesgen, she added, “You are not talking to regular, mainstream people; you picked people to talk to. … We’ve watched what you’ve been doing here, and it’s not fair.”

The man Roesgen had been interviewing right before CNN’s coverage stopped was also captured by the Founding Bloggers camera, saying, “We don’t have any respect for CNN, because it doesn’t respect us.”

When the blog posted the video on YouTube – showing a portion of Roesgen’s report, followed by its own footage – however, the clip was scrubbed and replaced with the message, “This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Cable News Network, Inc.”

Founding Bloggers contends its use of the CNN footage in its video falls under fair use guidelines, and it re-posted the film, which can be seen below – or, should it be removed from YouTube again, can be viewed at the website of KXMB-TV in Bismarck, N.D.

News of CNN squelching the video in a copyright claim, despite the majority of the video consisting of original Founding Bloggers material, quickly spread through the blogosphere.

“It is hard to avoid the inference that in this case,” writes John H. Hinderaker of the Power Line blog. “CNN was motivated not by a desire to protect its intellectual property but by a desire to avoid embarrassment caused by the unprofessional performance of its reporter.”

“Obviously we hit a nerve with CNN because they forced YouTube to pull the video down, along with all of the comments people posted,” Founding Bloggers responded. “We are in the process of consulting our Founding Bloggers legal team to decide if we are going to file a counter claim against CNN. We believe that we are well within our rights under fair use, but we are not attorneys so….we’ll see.”

Ben Sheffner of the blog Copyrights and Campaigns, however, is an attorney who has served as a copyright advisor to NBC Universal, Fox and the John McCain campaign.

“CNN does own copyright in its own news footage and, as a general matter, has the right to demand its removal from YouTube,” Sheffner writes on his blog. “However, as to this particular video, I think Founding Bloggers has a very strong fair use defense. The purpose for Founding Bloggers’ posting of the CNN footage is crystal clear: to comment on and criticize CNN’s reporting on the ‘Tea Party.’ Such a use is right in the heartland of the fair use doctrine; the statute specifically mentions ‘criticism, comment, [and] news reporting’ as protected uses that are ‘not an infringement of copyright.’”

Sheffner adds, “Many fair use cases are difficult, close calls – but, given the facts as I know them, this is an easy one. … I’m surprised CNN made this claim in the first place.”

WND attempted to contact CNN for comment, but no one was available to speak during weekend hours.
